The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Eating at Pizza Express is a must when visiting London. I've been here three times...and I hope to return!

The food arrived cold, and we ordered mozzarella sticks but the dipping sauce was missing. Pasta tasted very bland. Wouldn’t recommend.

I would give less stars if i was only judging the food. The pasta was four times over cooked. But I didn’t care because I had a great time. Due to Jack our server… (and we used our Clubcard points) Recognised this guy from his previous Italian job … Lucky to have had such great service in both establishments from Jack. He shares expertise and passion for the food whilst maintaining loyalty to the brand. What a gem. He should have his own place, for sure.

Probably one of the best pizzas you will have in Hackney, made the Neapolitan way (although interestingly there is no Italian staff). The pizza list is accompanied by a wide selection of crafts beer, predominantly British. Or you can try one of their original cocktails, like the Balsamic Negroni. The restaurant also has a great location alongside the river and it’s got a nice yard, ideal in the warm summer evenings. The staff was friendly and helpful

Atmosphere and food was amazing! We would’ve given the restaurant a better score but here is the issue: We received a wedding gift card of 50£ for the restaurant. Once finished, we were told that there’s no balance on the card. The waiter was nice enough to look into it. Told us that he sees the date it has been added to the card that matches the writing but nothing else on the use of the card. We asked if it was a glitch or if theres any use of the card but he couldn't see anyone else using it. Luckily we had our bank card around and all of it was embarrassing. He advised us to follow up with the restaurant through email but we never received any response since then. So please, go for the restaurant but Do Not get a gift card for anyone. I had to re-edit and give it a 2 star instead after receiving a comment here from them apologizing and to email the issue. Which I did but no answer for months. Do not get a gift card here.

Love the atmosphere, vibe and decor in here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I had the lighter option vegan pizza my daughter has the kid GF pizza. She didn’t like the kids apple juice as it wasn’t fresh… which is ok and an opinion

Everything came freezing cold!

Not great by any means. Staff seemed nice enough, though when giving feedback on the bland chewy food, it appeared they didn't want to listen. A £4 reduction was given on the Rigatoni Arrabbiata Al Forno.. of which I ate a few bits of pasta. Very bland and the cheese on top was incredibly chewy. I can only imagine this is a frozen reheated meal. Would not recommend. Wouldn't go back.

If you’re a fan of Asian food like me—especially Chinese cuisine—Renshaw Street Food Market is a must-visit! There’s a great variety of options to choose from, and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious and authentic. It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m in the area. Bonus points for the clean toilet facilities, which is always a big plus when you’re out and about. Highly recommend!

Pizza Express venues vary a little bit but this one was really good. Bright, efficient staff and great food despite being a busy night for them.

We visited on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was full and there was a good atmosphere. We had breaded brie for starters followed by pizzas. All the food was very good indeed and the portions were pretty big Service was very good and prices really reasonable

fantastic service at this Coppa Club, with beautiful surroundings to walk around and take in the views after a full meal. yummy Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding! lovely to sit down on the grass overlooking the river as well. atmosphere inside was alright but definitely wish there was more space for us to sit outside as the weather was lovely when we came!
