Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

A restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere and close to the Tower of London. The pizza was delicious and the service was excellent. Patrick, the waiter who served us, was very attentive.

Our children's pizza size was very small, usually it's a decent size.

Really great service. Very attentive staff, kind to my nephew and affordable for a family, especially in London. Definitely recommend if you’re coming in with kids.

We had a great dinner at this location. It was 4 of us. Jason was kind and patient with our ignorance. He suggested a great deal. He answered and explained all our questions. Place was clean, the 2 pizzas were delicious.

I had a fantastic experience at Pizza Express Tower Hill! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection – crispy base, rich tomato sauce, and just the right amount of toppings. I especially loved the Diavolo, which had the perfect spicy kick! Their dough balls with garlic butter are a must-try as well. Service was quick even though the place was quite busy. Overall, a great spot for delicious pizza and a relaxed dining experience. Had a great experience at Pizza Express Tower Hill! The food was fresh and delicious, especially the classic Margherita and the Dough Balls – perfectly baked. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed with a nice view. A great spot for a casual meal near the Tower of London. Will definitely be back!

The pizza is dry and not tasty, the service is terrible and very slow, another drink was included in the check, which should have been free (two in one promotion). When I noticed this, the amount was removed from the check. I do not recommend.

Great restaurant in a good location. Have been here multiple times and have had amazing service and food each time & will continue to come here. My favourite dishes are the lasagne, tiramisu & the honeycomb cream slice!!!! 10/10 would recommend

Absolutely abysmal service from both the waiter and the branch manager. If you have a Pizza Express Gold Account do not visit this branch! We were entitled to use our rewards as we met the qualifying spending amounts. The manager closed our bill and refused to let us add our rewards on the pizza express app. Quoting an incorrect t&c for a separate offer that had nothing to do with the offers we were claiming. We were overcharged by £43 and the manager refused to reason with us. Even though SHE was in the wrong. Thankfully after a complaint to head office they refunded us a day later, and confirmed that the branch manager was WRONG. Just don’t visit this branch if you plan to use your HARD EARNED Gold Account.

The food is very ordinary; it's food you can make at home without much preparation. The staff is very friendly at first, but then they forget about you. They cleared our plates after we finished and we never saw them again. They didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or the bill. When they didn't come around and we didn't see them, we had to go to the door to see if they wanted to charge us.

Could have been better. The chicken ceasar salad was so bland. The chicken needs more flavour. The staff were not that attentive.

We were in for dinner after 7pm on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was busy. The staff were attentive, the food was lovely and it had a great atmosphere because it was busy.

Extremely small portions. Don't be fooled by the affordable prices. You'll need a second pizza! And the kids' menus are microscopical. Other than that it tastes alright.

It's great to be here in the center of London. Excellent waiter, Patrick, who is also Brazilian, very kind and professional. We will be back!

The chicken parmiggiana that my son ate was made of plastic chicken, inedible. And there were only 3 small spoonfuls of pasta on the side. A shame. My Caesar salad had no cheese. I asked for no croutons and no cheese. The cocks are truly amazing!

The service was lacking, and there seemed to be no attention given to customers. We had to wait an excessively long time just to place our order or settle the bill. When we inquired about seasonings, one staff member responded, "There are many; I don't know which one you would like," as if we were supposed to know the kitchen's options. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was not good, but the bigger issue was the extremely poor service. It took an unreasonable amount of time just to get someone to take our order. The staff seemed completely disorganized, with no one clearly assigned to specific sections. When I asked a waiter for seasonings, his response was irrelevant and unhelpful, saying, "We have a lot of seating, I don't know which one you're asking for." Honestly, it felt like I was the one working there instead of the staff. To top it off, when I asked for the bill, no one paid attention to my table despite repeated attempts to call a waiter. After finally getting someone to leave the bill, I waited 15 minutes for the card machine. Eventually, I had to call someone else to get it. The entire experience was frustrating and poorly managed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on this visit. I wish there would be an option available wherein I can put lower than 1 star rating.

You are greeted warmly and the pizzas are okay. I don't know if it's our timing, but there's almost always a train station atmosphere here. It's too loud and too hectic.

Very poor service. I ordered a Kids Menu for my son. The table next to us, who came much later then us, got their 4 Pizzas before my son's Pizza (Margherita) came. After he was finished we sat 10-15 minutes before the empty plate. Even though the restaurant was practically empty (around 3 p.m.) nobody was bothered to pick up the plate and serve his dessert. I decided to pay without dessert (which is actually included) and no one even asked about it.

Bad experience. No wifi or signal so can’t use app. When we did get an offer working the saving was £0.00. My pizza soggy. Two pizza didn’t turn up. Waiter was too busy. Issues paying bill. Won’t be back.

We just take dinner there, and everything was amazing. The food was incredible and tasty. All the waiters were pretty kind, especially Shon, who treated us really good. He helped us ordering. The restaurant takes special care with allergies, they’ve the ingredients of their dishes and the allergens card. I completely recommend eat there.

We were hungry so we ate the pizza but it tasted bad. There were toppings but nothing interesting. The tomato sauce was like the cheapest puree. The service was awful, when we asked about any hot drinks we were told that there was none. When I asked if they really didn't have any tea the gentleman said that they had tea and even a few. I waited for a non-alcoholic beer until I had to remember. Later, without asking for anything, he put a plate down with a bang and the bill, all I needed was the waiter's words: have you eaten? Leave!

Prioritised a massive out of restaurant order over the diners inside the restaurant, rude and dismissive staff, tried to sit a party of 6 on two tiny tables, dreadful, dreadful service.

After 15 minutes of ignoring from the staff who were busy gossiping we left without ordering anything. Great experience can recommend 🤣😉 Something like this would be unthinkable in Austria.

Myself and my friend ordered from here as we was craving a Pizza Express while we was on our spa weekend in London, however our girls wanted other food. The customer service was excellent specifically (Steve) one of the managers, he was excellent. We had phoned ahead to ask some options as we aren’t from London and he was so friendly and made time to answer our questions, we ordered straight after phoning him for his advice. Got the kids what they wanted elsewhere and he treated us to some complimentary chocolate cake to wind the kids up! This definitely topped off our spa weekend. My friend and I visited this location and we had an amazing time. If Emily is your waiter she is amazing!!! She was so helpful in making recommendations and very welcoming. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Emily you are the best!

Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. The pizza was rather tasteless like a frozen pizza and the Caesar salad had anchovies on it (not common here in Switzerland). Nevertheless, we found the waiter very nice and accommodating.

Went there with my wife for a meal while up in london, as far as london prices go its not bad at all, the food was lovely and hot which is always a bonus. Only reason for 4 star atmosphere was some of the other diners where very rowdy and drunk which i realise isnt the restaurants fault however it did impact the meal

Busy place and the staff where trying to keep on top of it but were struggling

This was my first time at pizza express, since I don't live in the UK. The actual decor and location was nice and we just wanted a warm pizza after a long day of walking. We were seated and it was clear that pizza express is a family oriented chain. Not far from us was a family with several kids jumping on the booth and shouting, keep this in mind if you plan to dine in. It took a while to get service since there was one hostess and one server but we were in no rush. We ordered two pizzas and they were both fine but nothing great. I wouldn't recommend it if you expect American style pizza. The meal was reasonably priced and then we were on our way.

We went to this restaurant because we were traveling with a child with celiac disease and they had told us that there were gluten-free options, and they were. We left very happy and the girl was delighted. Thank you very much Giuseppe for being so lovely and taking care of our little girl.

I recently visited Pizza Express in Hampton Court, and it had been years since my last trip to one. Among Londoners, Pizza Express isn’t exactly known for great pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised—the pizza there was delicious! I even thought it might become my new guilty pleasure. However, a visit to the Pizza Express by Tower quickly reminded me why I hadn’t been in so long. The pizza there was just mediocre, confirming my memory of the usual experience. Plus, they don’t serve draft beer because, apparently, it’s “too much hassle.” That said, if you’re near Hampton Court, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I would have given 0 starts if i could but i wanted to share my pathetic experience whith everyone so that no one goes there to ruin their day/night. Waiter name “LUCAS” has so much attitude problem he was so rude to me and my friends and suchha racist guy with so much anger issues. Me and my friends were waiting patiently to be seated when it was already quiet this guy came to us and said abruptly “Table for 4 right, wait” rolled his eyes and went. he took his time and after ages came to us and picked up 2 menus and started walking assuming we will follow at this point we were not even expecting a polite behaviour from him but then he threw the menus on the table where the napkins from the table flew off and pointed the table out to us as if we were some dogs and then he left. I got so offended i said “excuse me” he said “ what!” and it was embarrassing as well as few of the customers on another table were gigling at this stupid behaviour. Then me and my friends decided to leave immediately. I asked the bartender this waiters name he said and i’m mentioning again “Lucas” and while we asked for the manager and waited for her to come we saw lucus chatting with the customers about us right infront of us and smirking. When the manager came this guy was uncontrollable by the manager itself and started arguing and wouldn’t let us speak. This is such an unacceptably unprofesional behaviour from a pizzeria like pizza express, i used to go to pizza express alot before but now never again. Then i went to the restaurant right opposite to it and the staff there was super nice and polite(how it should’ve have been at yours as well) If no action will be taken against this matter soon i will for sure file a formal complaint.

The most “ RACIST” place to go to. I am writing to express my concern regarding a distressing incident that occurred at your restaurant on 27/09/2024. During our visit, we experienced behavior from one of your waiters that was racially insensitive and unacceptable. The waiter Lucas wasn’t keen on serving and welcoming us at the restaurant at all, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. He showed us our way to the table and literally threw the menu on the table due to which even the tissues kept on the table flew over to the floor itself and on asking him about about the reason of doing that he literally smirked and didn’t even apologise. This behaviour is not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. We believe it is crucial for all customers to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race or background. On calling the manager “Lucas” didn’t hesitate at all as he still had the same attitude infront of the manager since the manager alone wasn’t capable enough and had to tell “ Lucas” to mind his tone when he’s addressing to the customer in front of the manager atleast. The audacity to justify his behaviour with the fact that he’s already busy with a customer. I mean if you guys don’t have adequate staff who’s not capable of having basic manners which is mandatory in especially his field of work. I hope you take this issue seriously and ensure that all staff members are trained to provide a welcoming environment for everyone. Would have given 0 stars if possible and recommend everyone to stay out of this place!! Absolutely disgusting experience!

A truly lovely experience of dining for lunch at Pizza Express Tower Hill. It was raining outside, but it was sunny, warm and lovely inside. Giuseppe was kind and attentive to us and our two children. The food was delicious, warm and beautifully presented. We had a lovely and relaxing time. We'll certainly be back again. Thank you!
