Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

The pizza isn't very tasty, the prices are really high...

Pizza was good, but waiter was very unprofessional and unfriendly.

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY!!! Ordered for collection at 6.30 in advance only to be told it could be up to an hour and a half after collection time! And then after picking up they had forgotten items! Would not recommend.

Ordered a calzone and got a croissant... (The calzone pizzas they make at Milanos in Dublin are X3 in size)

It's okay for a quick stop for food, nothing fancy. Bit overpriced I would say for a simple food.

We went there as tourists. The place is well located and during the week allows a glimpse of the busy London business life. The place is kids friendly. The service by Patrick was really good.

Everything was good there chocolate brownies for dessert were so good. Best brownies ever! And the pizza was also good. The service was good too they were nice. Everything was good this deserved five stars and we will definitely come back.

Dough balls were not cooked all the way and table next to us sent back 3 orders of undercooked dough from their kids. My pizza was the most disappointing meal I have had in London this week. Very limp and undercooked dough in my opinion. The flavors were actually good but the crust just killed the whole thing. Asked the waiter if was always like this and was told yes.

Pizza a little thin, but the dough is excellent. The service is good, but the waiting time is rather long (50 minutes). The correct price.

Fantastic gluten free pizza! Highly recommend the gluten free dough balls as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Incompetent and unprofessional service. We sat down at the table, got the menu and that was it. For half an hour, no waiter approached us, even though they were standing in the corner and talking. Disgraceful behavior. We left the place and went somewhere else.

Delicious food! Both the pizza and pasta dishes were very good. The service was excellent. As a tourist, we were even given tips on great places in London. 10/10 would visit again!

Service was really disappointing. Despite the location, the restaurant was fairly empty and there was a lot of staff around. However, our whole service was rushed - first he got the drinks orders and left before one of us decided. We had 2 children with us and asked for baby seats but they only brought one. Then we had to ask someone else for the children's menu, which was never given to us, and despite choosing food for them we never got the starters, drinks or dessert that was included. He also forgot to order one of the pizzas because he was rushing with the order and didn't even had the time to realise that we were 5 people who supposedly ordered 4 pizzas. The pizzas were also dropped at our table to quickly that we had no time to mention that one was missing, and has to try to grab someone's attention for a while to tell them. We also got one of the drinks wrong and asked for one of them without ice, which was ignored. It also seemed like there was a staff meeting happening in the middle of the restaurant, as they had several people and the manager having a conversation on the corridor. The food was good, though, just the standard we get at Pizza Express. At the end we got the card machine with the option to add a tip, which we sadly decided not to. Very disappointing service, won't be coming back to this branch.

The mirrows where confusing. Arrount the Restaurante it was very beautiful.

We visited as part of a school trip. Service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. A lovely space for us to eat as a group.

The food is good, the staff on site are very attentive, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the toilets were very dirty. The ambience is very nice, it's not too loud and you can enjoy your food in a cozy atmosphere.

Came for Mothers day. The waiter was very helpful, explained the app & set menu to us in detail. Was accommodating & friendly. Forgot to ask for his name. Best service we've received in a pizza express. The garlic oil was amazing.

Nice Italian restaurant. We were a big party and did not make reservations in advance so the only available table was at the far end of the restaurant in the back so we didn't really have a chance to enjoy the atmosphere. The food was okay and pricing is fair.

Utterly dissatisfied. Poor quality floppy pizza with almost zero to no toppings, while priced close to £20! Money in the drain...

I visited this location on 25/02/2023 around lunchtime. The manager stated that they were not serving customers despite there being available tables. To me, this seemed more like a sign of discrimination. The manager's attitude was rather unfriendly, and after a few minutes of arguing, she permitted us to stay but mentioned that we would have to wait longer to be served. My family was so appalled that they refused to order any food. I am very surprised that in the heart of London City, Pizza Express is providing such unprofessional service

We were recommended, but for us who are somewhat expensive eaters for the food they serve, even though it is delicious and the service is excellent, we will have to repeat to be able to give more opinions...

Once you get served, then ordering and food are handled in a reasonable time and to the usual pizza express quality. However, it was close to 40 minutes before anyone took our order! In that time, I asked 2 different waiting staff for service, one who was having a nice chat with some other customers and still couldn't even get a drinks order. We were told that when being seated, there was a delay in food, but we didn't realise this extended to just taking a drinks order too.

Service was efficient and food tasted good. One of the pizzas was made incorrectly so had to be remade which caused a delay to part of the order whilst all other items had been delivered to the table.

The food was super good, we got our order warmly served and the staff were very polite special thanks to Patrick.

Are you kidding me 30 minutes waiting for just a pizza… awful awful The chef didn’t cover his hair and beard🤮 If it was possible they would make the pizza base thinner. I asked for a bill they bring a bill and then they left I waited 5 minutes for her to come back😐😐 AWFUL PERIOD

It takes 4 years to bring the food and the portions are very small.

We went there for lunch, the servers were nice but they looked really tired and it took them a long time to take our order. The food was ok. It was an ok experience but i wouldn’t recommend it.

Such a shame.. Half empty restaurant, lots of staff but we were left standing at the entrance for 15 mins without even acknowledging our existence. Quite frankly just rude. Ended up walking out along with about 10 people in the queue behind us.

I ate an amazing lasagña, really i couldn’t take a photo. I really recommend.

Pizzas are always good. Kids absolutely adore the dough balls. Staff is very helpful and patient. Can't fault it. Happy to come back next time we in the neighbourhood.

Stopped off here for Lunch in London. We had the Pollo Pesto pasta which is so underrated and the Pollo Adastra on a classic base. We both had dessert and got the Honeycomb slice which was also very very good. Service was quick and the staff were lovely!

I have been eating at Pizza Express branches for 30 years and I am so happy once again today because of him and also to mention the team at Tower Hill branch. Wow.

A must stop for pizza lovers. Our host was Evita and she was the nicest person ever, very patient and gave us very good advices for our choices. The pizza was really thin the Romana style and very tasty. Overall we ordered the garlic bread as a starter, la reine, margarita and mine wich was with shrimp but I don’t remember the name but was amazing.

Commandé 4 pizza pour 20h30. À 20h20 en arrivant, les pizza étaient déjà prêtes et plus très chaudes. En arrivant en guise de bienvenu, on m'a juste dit, on est fermé... pour finir, pizza poulet BBQ commandée, pizza bœuf BBQ reçu.

The attitude of the Indian waiters is very bad.

Great to drop in and get looked after well. Food was hot and plentiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Not even vaguely express. Fifteen minutes waiting to be seated even though there were loads of empty tables. Had to ask about four times to get our order taken. Took two hours to get in and out, not ok with small kids. Kids pasta arrived with burnt black bits, as if from a pan that hadn't been cleaned in between uses. When we asked to have it without the burnt black bits, they acted as if we were being weird. Loos filthy and urinals leaking. Looked more like a crime scene than a restaurant (see pic). No soap in the disabled or ladies loos. Also, I realise inflation and all that, but £16-18 for a pizza?!Clearly in desperate need of some money on upkeep and a bunch of extra staff.

We ended up being in pizza express for over two hours, which is not what you want when you arrive at 5 with two small children. There weren’t enough staff and they all looked very stressed. However, it took ages to get seated and then ages to order. Our toddlers plain pasta turned up with carcinogenic black burnt bits on and the waiter seemed a bit confused about why we wouldn’t want our 3 year old to eat that “it’s probably just from the pan…” Uh huh, carcinogenic burnt black bits from the pan. No thanks! There was also no soap in the woman’s loos, or the men’s loos according to my husband. Hi Pizza Express, I understand you might be short staffed and they might be doing their best, but maybe just pay them all a bit more and at least make sure the loos have soap in! The atmosphere came from the customers consoling each other about the lack of service. Not the best experience!

We had a very pleasant family lunch in very nice surroundings, with very good service and very tasty quality food. There’s something for everyone on the menu and we all enjoyed the experience.
