Excellent food but a little pricey

Probablemente uno de mis lugares favoritos para comer! A mí y a mi novio nos encanta el italiano, y vimos que no estaba demasiado ocupado, y no demasiado vacío, así que lo probamos. Mejor. Decisión. Nunca. El servicio al cliente fue increíble, cada miembro del personal era muy amable y educado. La comida llegó dentro de los 10 minutos de espera! Al principio pensé que mi comida no se habría cocinado correctamente porque llegó muy rápido, pero mi Lasaña y mis novios Calzone eran tan frescos y sabrosos! Creo que los precios en el menú eran muy buenos también, teniendo en cuenta que la comida era tan sabrosa con grandes porciones. Pagué alrededor de £ 11 por mi lasaña, y £ 4. ¡50 por mi vino! Muy buen precio. Lo único de lo que podría quejarme es de que es solo efectivo, ¡por suerte tenía efectivo encima! Cuando les dije que mantuvieran el cambio (alrededor de £ 7 ) fueron muy agradecidos y nos dieron tiros de limoncello gratis! Mamma mia.

We attended yesterday for a bottomless brunch I wanted to give slightly higher between good and average but no option The bottomless brunch is very restrictive on drinks and everyone has to finish their drink before anymore. Awkward when some are slow drinkers . We were told this is the policy but the policy isn’t clear when booking and telepathy not great . The waiter / server was quite rude with us from the beginning, we were a group of mature ladies and not drunk so this felt uncomfortable. My meal arrived five minutes after everyone else as he said he ‘wrote it wrong ‘ On arriving we were asked if we would Like water . I thought very kind , but at £8.50 I feel a bit robbed ! And licences premises do have a legal obligation to provide water with alcohol . It would have been nice if the charge was transparent before we got the bill We chose not to pay the £40 service charge as although we always tip it felt presumptuous and wasn’t great service . I will add when my food did eventually come it was nice .

We visited on a Saturday night and were seated on the top level. I ordered risotto and my partner had the special which was steak. Both were tasty and a good portion size. Staff were attentive and friendly and the wait wasn’t too long despite being a busy Saturday evening. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Visitamos el restaurante para el cumpleaños de mi hija. Nos recibieron con una cálida bienvenida y mi hija estaba sentada con sus amigos. El personal era muy atento y amable. Realmente hicieron un esfuerzo para hacer la comida especial. La comida era fabulosa. Sin duda volveremos.

Unfortunately did not have a great experience here due to mistakes that could have been avoided, we booked a table for a work celebration there was about 20 of us, we preordered based off the menu online. I had preordered penne marinara from their online menu, as I am from England I understood that this was just a tomato pasta sauce, and there is nothing on their online menu to suggest marinara is seafood, however I received a penne pasta with tomato sauce and seafood. My sister is allergic to seafood and I don’t eat it to keep her safe. I told them I didn’t order seafood penne, he became angry and shouted at me that I did, I asked to see the menu when he showed me, that’s when we all realised their online menu is different to the one in the restaurant, he brought me a menu to say marinara is seafood, but this is not mentioned on the online menu we used when we preordered, and unfortunately being English and not being Italian, marinara in England is just tomato garlic sauce not seafood like it is in Italy, my fault for not knowing marinara means seafood in Italian but the manager or owner who was serving us just began shouting at me. A female waitress apologised and moved him away from me and brought me just a tomato penne pasta said sorry again and understood what had happened and fixed the issue without an issue, clearly a mistake on both parts. After I’d eaten it the angry manager came over and asked me how my seafood pasta was sarcastically. 3 or 4 of us preordered the online menu tomato garlic bread to start, and one of us ordered a tomato garlic bread for their main. But when it arrived in the restaurant it was a plain garlic pizza bread, as their menu in their restaurant is different to the one online and doesn’t include tomato. Also despite pre ordering two of the starters were missing and had to be chased up 10 mins or so after we had all eaten our starters and the same happened again for our mains, two were missing and a side of chips which we had to chase up. We spent about £582 and just didn’t feel we had a good experience despite pre ordering and we even brought our pre order on a document with us to make sure we were organised when we got there. Food was excellent however and we had a good time. Just a shame to be shouted at in a restaurant by the manager at what clearly was a genuine mistake, as I don’t speak Italian.

Unfortunately the Luxury Ice Cream Company online menu is wrong. I was there on Sunday afternoon intending to have a banana split and buy my grand-daughter a Biscoff sundae but neither of these was on offer. The LICC did not respond to my email the day before our visit and their telephone number was not recognised. Having said that, the ice cream we did have was delicious.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tuve una experiencia increíble en La Bottega en York! Desde el momento en que entré, el ambiente era cálido y acogedor, con una sensación encantadora y auténtica. La comida era absolutamente excepcional — cada plato era fresco, sabroso y bellamente presentado. Realmente se puede saborear la calidad de los ingredientes. El servicio fue igual de impresionante. El personal era amable, atento, y me hizo sentir realmente bienvenido. Estaban encantados de ofrecer recomendaciones y se aseguraron de que todo fuera perfecto durante toda la comida. En general, La Bottega superó mis expectativas en todos los sentidos. Si estás en York y buscas comida deliciosa, buen servicio y un ambiente acogedor, ¡este es el lugar para ir! Muy recomendable!

Después de ver este lugar que vendía tarta de queso al horno, vinimos de postre. Tenía muchas ganas de hacerlo y me decepcionó bastante. El cheesecake de vainilla de mi marido no tenía base (al parecer un cheesecake de San Sebastián) y mi cheesecake de chocolate tenía una base de tarta en lugar de galleta - muy decepcionante y caro : - (

We absolutely loved it here. The staff were so kind and helpful, the food was amazing and such good value for money. We can't wait to return. The food was so fresh and I would definitely recommend both the main dishes. I had the beef cheek and my husband had the belly pork. They were both melt in the mouth! The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed. One of the best restaurants we've been to.
