The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Durante nuestras vacaciones de abril de 2025 en Scarborough, estuvimos encantados de descubrir Crema e Cioccolato en 43 Newborough, una recomendación que agradecemos. Leonardo y Daniele nos dieron una cálida bienvenida en su encantadora tienda llena de carácter. Su pasión por el auténtico helado y la conversación hicieron que nuestra visita fuera memorable. El helado era de clase mundial, y solo desearíamos tener más tiempo para explorar el resto del menú. Una parada aquí es una visita obligada, y mientras esté cerca, visite el Market Hall justo al otro lado del camino. Scarborough está lleno de sorpresas, y esta es sin duda una de las mejores. I've been here three times now and have enjoyed it every time. The cafe is clean, tidy, really nicely decorated and the staff are welcoming. It's somewhere you want to go into and return. I'll be going again as soon as I can!

Amazing amazing! If you have coeliac disease this place is a dream. I had a gluten free pizza tonight and it was so good! Scarborough doesn’t have many gluten free restaurants so this is a hidden gem. Not only did it taste great the staff are really friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great place can see why it’s busy. Food was brilliant and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend and return.

We booked as a large group for our lads rugby tour (nearly 50 people) and I can’t fault the restaurants assistance in catering for such a large party on a bank holiday weekend. Everyone commented on the fresh and tasty food and all the staff worked really hard. Food did take a while due to such a large group to accommodate but everyone said they’d rather wait & have it made fresh and flavoursome like it was 👏. Everyone had a fantastic meal. A huge well done to the team and thank you.

We stumbled on Pomodoro by chance, as we were trying to escape Scarborough’s beach and arcades area. This is really an excellent, reasonably priced Italian restaurant. Both my spaghetti bolognese and my partner’s Quattro formaggi pizza were delicious. Service was attentive to our needs and friendly. Good for families with children.

We were only in town for the night and called last minute for a table, we were squeezed in last minute, the food and service were amazing, we'll definitely be back when next in Scarborough.

Down from Newcastle and have to admit, the food was absolutely delicious, I would recommend highly, you won't be disappointed 😋

Wonderful food and excellent service! We booked a table of 8 late in the day but they managed to squeeze us in. Two of us had the Fillet steaks and they were cooked to perfection (one rare and one well done), kids had pasta ( Lasagne, Carbonara and Penne Salmone) all freshly/home made. Others in our group had a Calzone and a veggie pasta. Everyone really enjoyed their meal, finished off nicely with some delicious Profiteroles that we took home. Great atmosphere and the owners (Chef and front of house) and the waitresses were lovely and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Had a three day trip to play golf at Filey staying local and as a group of four we used the restaurant a couple of times. Very friendly staff, incredibly well accommodating, wonderful specials and very reasonably priced. Can highly recommend, we hope to visit again.

Lovely food and friendly service

Decided to call in for a cup of tea as it looked quite cute and appealing. How wrong we were! The woman serving was very unprofessional and not making people very welcome apart from the shady undesirable looking locals at the reserved table. She was openly talking about customers when they were sitting outside and talking about passers by. At one point stating I am in the wrong business as I’m not a people person. We did agree on that. She is rude and very disrespectful for a business owner never mind a lady !! Give it a miss and go to the very cute friendly places along bar street towards town

One of our favourite restaurants in Whitby we go back every time we visit as it’s a wonderful good, atmosphere and the food is excellent.
