Olive in Scarborough

I've been here three times now and have enjoyed it every time. The cafe is clean, tidy, really nicely decorated and the staff are welcoming. It's somewhere you want to go into and return. I'll be going again as soon as I can!

In Scarborough, there isn't a lot you could call sophisticated quality. But this is it. Great coffee, excellent staff and management, and cleanliness abounds, and it's a great experience. So much better than the cookie cutter Costa or god forbid Starbuks or any of the poor, scruffy, alternatives. Don't tell your friends please.

Absolutely great find. Delicious amazingly tasty, moist lemon cake. Great find. Definitely will return. Staff very attentive.

My favourite place in Scarborough. This hidden gem of a café has quickly become my go-to spot for both morning pick-me-ups and afternoon lunch breaks. The best cup of coffee in the town centre. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly baked focaccia mingling with a rich scent of freshly brewed coffee and an even warmer welcome from the staff. The interior is an inviting blend of Italian culture and modern styling. Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this lovely little coffee shop when we were visiting Scarborough and so pleased we did. A wonderful place for coffee or tea and a cake - and the cakes were lovely. There was also a selection of sandwiches available. The staff were excellent and attentive and treated customers like old friends, going out of their way to help and look after them.

Olive is one of those places that you want to return to - elegant decor, cosy lighting and decorations, soft music playing in the background and the friendly baristas who greet you with a smile. and of course - coffee! very much Italian style. You can order a freshly baked focaccia sandwich or a slice of cake with your coffee. for me - 10/10!

This is one of my favourite coffee shops small, so good timing is essential to enjoy the laidback relaxing ambience. I like the Italian/Tuscan decor, but the food! A sensible limited menu is different from toasties and chips and ensures quality , the pistachio cake and pecan slice were our choices , but all of the cakes looked amazing and my partner found her focaccia based sandwich was out of the world. If you are looking for a modern coffee shop great food and to my taste some of the best coffee in Scarborough, with friendly service , give this family run homemade cakes and sandwiches cafe a try.

What a delightful place. Classy decour, attentive staff, lovely food and coffee. A unique culinary experience in Scarborough. We ordered foccacia sandwiches and cake. The sandwiches arrived first, and no sooner had we finished them, the cake arrived, and the empty plates were swapped for full ones. Now that's what I call great service. We will most definitely visit again.

Great little place, family-run I think, serving good coffee, homemade? cakes (I had the ginger), and focaccia sandwiches (I’ll try those next time). Not expensive, friendly service, and a pleasant place to sit and relax.

I’ve visited ‘Olive’ only once previously as I simply do not visit the town centre often. The first visit was a quick grab & go but I had a little more time on my second encounter. Bright, airy, stylish. The coffee (mocha) was really really good. I am an avid visitor to chic cafe’s near & far and could definitely rate it in my top 5. Wholesome delicious fare awaits, I opted for the pistachio cake. A generous portion was served and I found it moist and utterly scrumptious! The other great assets are the staff.. clean.. smart and friendly. Chill music set the ambience wonderfully and I have since followed suit and downloaded the playlist. Happy customer

Huge fan of this fantastic family business. Not only are the drinks and eats fabulous with a lovely relaxed ambience , but it has to have the friendliest staff of anywhere in Scarborough. Long may they reign. Support them. They deserve it.

The Latte is lovely with a nutty flavour and hints of olive oil, I think? It's the best coffee you can get in Scarborough if you don't want any syrup flavourings adding!

Lovely place to meet and catch up. The best early morning Chai Latte and Almond Croissant😍. Relaxed atmosphere 100% recommend a visit. Second time here and will return the cakes look Amazing……😊

Wife left me at Olive's whilst she quickly popped to the shops. Its the first time we've visited Olive's, and what a delight it is! Lovely cappuccino, and the carrot cake... words fail me! It was delicious! The best carrot cake I have ever eaten! Staff were friendly & efficient. I'll definitely me looking forward to the next time my wife drags me and the dogs to the shops!

An absolute pleasure, cake and a cool drink with my son. Such a calm atmosphere, delicious cake and a refreshing drink. Three delightful young ladies who were all friendly and pleasant - we will definitely be back.

Just what Scarborough town centre needs. A beautiful coffee shop with superb coffee/cakes at a reasonable price! A very bright, clean, modern place with wonderful girls who always welcome you with a smile! Greet seating area outside to enjoy your coffee watching the world go by. You simply MUST pay them a visit!

The coffee here is the best I've tasted! Lovely decor, very clean and a very friendly young lady who served us. Will be sure to visit again when we are in Scarborough

Excellent new cafe with good cakes, friendly service and tasty focaccia based sandwiches. A bit hidden as it is on Bar Street but worth checking out.

Completely charming. Beautiful looking and super tasting cakes. They were so apologetic at having sold out of some! Go and get yours...be quick!

Not sure if it is new but amazing place in Scarborough. Coffee was fantastic and the Focaccia tasted amazing. Had a cookie which was brilliant, will definitely be coming again.
