The best restaurants serving Italian food in Canterbury South East

Visited Big Boys pizza few days ago. And I couldn’t recommend them enough. Passat and Pizza were fresh and delicious

We saw all the great reviews and were looking forward to eating here but it was very disappointing. We were served complementary cold hard deep fried pizza dough that was unpleasant and salty. The red mullet was over cooked and served on raw fennel. The scamorza croquette that accompanied the venison was cold in the middle. The fregola didn’t have any king prawns in it and was covered in rock samphire rather than samphire which was over powering. It was also drowning in squid ink. The kids had mini pizzas which arrived well before their starters. The food for the adults took a very long time to arrive. To be fair we were refunded for two meals, but it spoilt the night.

An absolute gem! Wish we’d been sooner as it was the best meal we’ve ever had in Whitstable. The service was faultless. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

I love Italian food and visit Italy at least once a year every year. The food at this restaurant is the closest I have found to actually eating Italian food in Italy. Fantastic food, lovely staff and not spitefully expensive. When we went it was full and so do phone and reserve a table in advance.

a gorgeous little Italian restuarant that is small but definately worth a visit. From the service to the amazing food we loved this place. All the staff were helpful and friendly and it was so reasonable. Go and enjoy you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Italian food in a charming restaurant with lovely ambiance. Attentive service, delicious dishes, good portions and good value. Easy parking. Perfect!

Delicious food and very go9d service

We found Posillipo on TikTok and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend if you are in Canterbury for dinner. We had our 5 month old with us and they were very accommodating. There’s enough space for a pram if you have one. Great all round! Xx

Every time we go we love this place. Food is delicious and really good value. Portions are really large. Really love the fresh bread and salad that comes with meals. Staff are really friendly and helpful, especially if you have any dietary needs. Atmosphere is always good, it's a good place to have a family celebration. I keep trying different starters as there are so many delicious ones to choose from...

Lovely area, sat in window people watching Was a little chilly though. Food was amazing. Our waitress isabelle was very pleasant and helpful and smiley. Lovely coffee.

Went with a friend as I had a Gift Voucher. Welcome was very good. After placing our order, we asked for Tap Water and never got it. Also food when ready seemed to sit for a while before being served. Plates were not cleared until next course was delivered. On getting the bill I was charged full price for Cocktails instead of special menu price but on querying it was then amended
