Zizzi - Whitstable in Canterbury

Amazing experience again . Food was great. Service was very personal and felt at ease. Never left wanting for anything. Gareth went above and beyond

It was my birthday treat from my friend. Sadly, it didn’t go to plan. The food and staff, as always, were lovely. However, the volume of people horrendous. We couldn’t really talk. I think the tables are far too close together and too many people are squeezed in. We had a table for two in between a large family table and another smaller one. Our food was delicious. We only had one glass of wine each and were planning on more and dessert and possibly cocktails after. However we left as soon as we could. It was a shame.

We have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is always good. The menu has lots of choice and is decently priced. We had the calamari, pizza, pasta and garlic bread which we would recommend all. Service was good as well.

Gorgeous meal served by the lovely British manager. the Calzone was exquisite not to mention the calamari and other dishes.

No tomato sauce on the pizza, minimal toppings and dry dough. Lasagne was great though.

Lovely lunch with the family - tasty food and friendly service as always. Highly recommend a mock tail sitting on the terrace and watching the world go by!

Food was quick to come out despite it being busy. Tasted really nice, especially the mac and cheese special😋 Waitress that was serving was really nice but the man who was seating us (presumably manager) was not very welcoming and quite blunt, so mixed reviews on the service side. Cocktails were also very nice😊

Ordered two rustica pizzas to collect. Our collection time was 6.45. We arrived on the dot at that time. Took the pizzas home. They were cold - easily resolved by putting them in the oven, but the crusts were black and the base was so dry. They had clearly been cooked some time before our collection time. We won’t order click and collect from here again.

The customer service was awful. The staff should not work in customer service if they treat the customers the way they did.

Needed a table outside as had a dog with us. Three free tables that needed clearing , said would be five minutes wait after 20 minutes wait we gave up. Waitress was so rude and said we should have booked eventhough you can’t book for outside. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Simply the BEST Customer Service & ALWAYS with a Smile! 4 of us went to Zizi's at Whitstable earlier this year on Sunday 9th June, our table was booked for 7.30pm. We were greeted by Theo who showed us to our table; he was also to be our waiter for the evening. Just to take you back a bit to 2022 when we were last in Whitstable for a short break with the same friends. We went to Zizi's then. On our arrival there were some 'Nibbles' on the table that we'd never seen before on previous visits; so I took a couple & they were so delicious that I just couldn't put them down! When the waiter came over I told him how nice they were & he kindly bought me some more; they also disappeared no sooner than they'd arrived!! We went on that evening to have a really lovely meal with the best service & as we were leaving our waiter then presented me with another bag full to take with me... it just made my night! I was really looking forward to going to Zizi's back home but honestly ...I don't know where the time's gone but we actually never made it back until..... Fast-forward to this year & we're back at Zizi again but this time ...Ho Hum... there were no Pasta Bites to be seen. When Theo came over to us to take our drinks order, I just had to mention my disappointment at the fact I could not see any of those adorable Pasta Bites.... "It's Okay" came the reply... "You'll get some free with your first Drinks order". My happiness was restored as I told him about our last visit. Well, our evening continued, with, once again the best service, best food.. in fact, the food was so delicious from start to finish. Theo was & is absolutely, a really great guy, being both polite & attentive; & with a warm, friendly personality. I once again, left the restaurant very happily carrying my very own bag of Crispy Pasta Bites!!! I promised Theo I would give him/Zizi a great review on returning home & here we are several weeks down the line when I told myself this morning to just get on with it!!! So Theo, I really hope you'll get to see this review cos you absolutely deserve it. Good Customer Service sometimes seems to be very short lived in these times which is such a shame. I hope you'll still be there the next time we're back in Whitstable. Please stay as lovely as you are because a warm smile combined with amazing service goes a long, long way. Really friendly restaurant with well informed and sensitive approach to allergies. Staff are great. Food is really nice. And the beach is literally a minute away.

Never had a bad meal here. The pizzas are to die for with super thin crusts. Pasta is always a winner and there's a great selection of seafood dishes too. My salmon and courgette risotto was absolutely lovely. It may be a chain but everything is always delicious and the restaurant is lovely outside with a small sunny area out front to eat. The set menu offers great value too. Only problem is we live close enough that it's always a temptation on JustEat!!

Had food tonight which was great served by Mia who was very friendly and attentive whilst we were there. Would recommend the sticky pig and polo piccante. Great restaurant placed by the beach as well

First visit. Food and atmosphere we could not fault but service? The young guy that first served us was 100% for his customer service then we had other staff serving us including the boss but was not so impressed.

A very nice restaurant. With the view and the food you almost feel like you are in Italy. The appetizer platters are highly recommended. There is also a large selection of unusual drinks. It's definitely worth a visit!

We were extremely disappointed that a policy change re voucher usage was not communicated to us before we dined, even though we asked for confirmation beforehand. Despite the confusion and upset caused to our group, we were delighted by the way the Assistant Manager, Stuart La Croix, handled the situation. He was courteous, calm and professional throughout and managed to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. Thank you Stuart!

We went for a lunch after a lovely walk around Whitstable and along the sea front. Restaurant wasn’t particularly busy on a weekday outside holidays. Very warm greeting from who I think was the manager, couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and attentive. Food came really quickly, very hot as well and was delicious. Two mains, two good sized sides, cocktail & soft drink, about £55, very reasonable. Lovely atmosphere, great price some lovely extras and conversations with the manager. Made our couples lunch very memorable. Thanks very much and we would definitely recommend!! Cocktails recommended!!

Large group of us (25) accommodated for an early lunch. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly, couldn’t praise them enough. Food was nice but service really stood out.

Ordered via uber, food was not delivered and Zizzi's didn't care when I called them. Had awful service in this restaurant in the past.

Had a birthday treat from Zizzi for a free main course. They are very accommodating allowing us in half an hour before our booking as they weren't too busy.

This is your typical chain restaurant. That being said we found the staff in general friendly and helpful. The food was what you would expect, nothing out of the ordinary but nicely cooked with no long wait for it to arrive considering it was busy.

Server was a little rude and had a bit of an attitude, which made us uncomfortable. Food was overcooked (burnt), not worth the money, and we will not be returning.

Here again for a family get together. Granny down to four-year old. Efficient service with a wide menu meant that everyone found something they liked. Middle of the road in terms of food quality (it is a chain after all) and a little on the pricey side, but a reliable experience. Drinks seemed over-priced though. Been lots of times and will probably go lots more.

Standard Zizzi experience really. The girl serving us was really sweet so service was good. We had the shared calamari to start which was absolutely massive and pretty much the size of a main course. We couldn’t finish it (and we are big eaters!) and honestly it sort of made me feel a bit sick just the overall size really. I had the chicken salad for my main which thankfully was light enough to enjoy after the heavy calamari. It was tasty, huge and lots of chicken which was good. Boyfriend had the linguine something which he said was spicy and good. Overall it was a nice evening sitting outside in the sun, sort of felt like we were on holiday which is always a winner!

We've just enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Zizzi in Whitstable. We sat outside (just about warm enough), chose starters and mains from the very extensive menu choices, and loved 'em! My wife went for the pineapple rum punch cocktails, whilst I chose the excellent Pironi Gran Riserva. So, all grand. However, as so often, what made the meal especially enjoyable was the great service we received from the staff (Sorry, no names, but a male and two females.), who were friendly, cheerful, helpful and very efficient. Thanks for a lovely couple of hours! X x

Was served by theo earlier in the week, above and beyond service. Catered to all of my needs and never made me feel like an inconvenience even through my additional requests. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be returning thanks to the incredible staff i dealt with!

Mid afternoon Monday visit to Zizzi with my wife for some food and drinks. Sat outside as we had the dog and had such a warm welcome and lovely food. Stuart and his colleague couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home. Well looked after and recommend to all visitors. The new fondue starter is amazing and the pizzas are always spot on! Bought one of their chilli infused olive oils too which are amazing! Love it here Many thanks

I recently dined and ordered the Casareccia Pollo Piccante. Unfortunately, both I and another person who shared the meal suffered severe food poisoning shortly after. The food hygiene and cleanliness were noticeably poor, with dirty dishes to start. Given this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. Extremely disappointed and upset!

Theo was the best waiter, so polite and helpful. Food was great as always.

We went there yesterday for lunch. One of us had the Casareccia Pollo Piccant - and has been violently ill with food poisoning since. Their partner finished that person's meal (a very small amount) and has not been well too. Also, got some side plates during the lunch for some shared garlic read and they were basically dirty. They also "forgot" to serve one of the drinks. Food hygiene and cleanliness are amiss in this place. Will never go back.

Zizzi's Whitstable is my go-to for a mid-week meal out - simple, but always satisfying. Service is mostly friendly and I was impressed by the speed in which the chef - Dan, I think his name was - made our food. His calzones in particular were amazing!

We were out walking the dog Saturday afternoon, and felt a bit peckish, on passing, we noticed some out side seating in the sun.Staff were very accommodating, and even gave the mutt a little chicken treat. We were only there a short while,and after finishing asked for the bill.All was OK until I noticed the price of the Orange and Lemonade that was ordered, come on Zizzi,£4-95,bit of a let down after a nice meal.

Went for a Saturday lunch, party of 8. We'd booked and our table was ready on arrival. Food very nice, service really good too. My only constructive feedback points would be 1) to lower the tempo and volume of the music. It's at that pace you expect big chain restaurants insist on playing because it makes people eat quicker. 2) give the toilets and stairwell area a lick of paint. All feels really tired and dingy down there.

First Zizzi visit, won't bang on, just my advice is don't bother, won't Zizzi again. Lots to choose from in Whitstable my own fault for choosing a chain.

We went here on the spur of the moment decision and we are glad we did the food was great we really enjoyed it and the wine was excellent as well. We was served by Alan very good at his job and a very funny man we will certainly be returning.

Not sure what is going on at this branch but it looks like they have a food hygiene issue. My girlfriend and I decided to get a pizza and some wings to enjoy at home on the final night of our romantic weekend. I wish Zizzi's hadn't been a part of our plan. We both got terrible food poisoning. An unfortunate punctuation to what was a perfect weekend. That's the first and last time I will visit this restaurant chain. Only good thing about our experience here was our Server - young chap, very friendly and kind-hearted.

Always look forward to going to this Zizza but didn't enjoy so much this time. Maybe because they were really busy and lots of children around. Also a couple of things we wanted were not available. Main annoyance was that they have now gone card only which on principle, will make us think twice about returning.

Super! Went for family birthday lunch for 7. Excellent food, friendly, welcoming service. Nothing was to much trouble. One in party was gluten free which was well catered for. Can highly recommend.

Got terrible food poisoning after eating here last night, and my friend who ate with me also got really bad stomach cramps. The food tasted nice enough, but food saftey is so important!

Nice location to warm up during cold season

Great restaurant, always had friendly waiters and waitresses. The food has always been hot and tasty with some good offers if using the loyalty scheme or Tesco vouchers.

Nice pizza restaurant with the normal gluten free options. Good was good, pizzas are a good size. The only issue we had when we went was that the front door does not shut very well so the cold air/wind kept blowing throughout the restaurant, and their was a large children's birthday party which was very noisy and we couldn't hear ourselves on our table. But at least the kids looked like they were having fun. We will be back again but maybe in the summer and late evening to avoid children and cold weather.

We went for my son’s 7th birthday party lunch and nothing was too much trouble! From setting up the table for us, getting the cake ready, giving us a whole area of the restaurant to ourselves to the service and attitude of the staff. 10 out of 10 for absolutely everyone and I would definitely recommend it for a kids party location. Good value for money too!

Cold Cold Cold, definitely need some heating on, way too cold inside.

Nice classic Margherita pizza, although hard to cut with the pizza cutter given. I recommend the side of Loaded Bolognese chips. Chocolate icecream was nice. Great orange juice. Would give 6 stars if i could.

Lovely, chill atmosphere! Ana was our waitress and we could not have asked her to be more wonderful! Food was lovely, atmosphere was great! On the whole a commendable experience from start to finish! The waitress who served us was absolutely amazing. The food was served quickly and was all piping hot.

We really enjoyed ourselves at this branch of Zizzi. The food was beautifully presented and well cooked. The staff were busy but took care to look after us. We'd happily visit again when we're in the area.

It's a pretty low-key restaurant. But our possibly the best food in England. Italian of course...😂. We've been here twice, about six months apart and out of season. But we were really impressed agin and again. We had no problem getting a seat. The service worked very well. And the food is really great. If you don't like oysters and seafood, which of course kind of begs the question of what the hell you're doing in Whitstable, then you definitely can't miss Zizi...🙂

I have to say the customer service here is beyond excellent. Alan greeted us warmly at the door and had a great sense of humour throughout our visit.
