An unpretentious restaurant serving authentic and outstanding Italian food. Knowledge is key and the staff have an enthusiasm for and knowledge of the food that makes the experience so special. One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. On my list if I'm ever visiting Canterbury again.

In 2025, a so-called restaurant that doesn't even understand the concept of hospitality... I was served Pollo ai Funghi that was clearly undercooked. When I politely asked the waiter to have it cooked a bit more, the "chef"—who clearly lacks both culinary skill and any sense of hospitality—claimed it was just the skin and that the chicken was cooked. As I told the server, the texture was unmistakably that of raw chicken, with that unpleasant rubbery resistance. I didn’t ask for a replacement, just for it to be cooked properly, but they refused and sent the same plate back, saying “this is how it is.” They clearly don’t even understand the basics of health and safety when it comes to food service. Contacting the council will be my first priority. I strongly advise against dining here.

A truly delicious meal in charming surroundings with friendly and efficient service. Calamari fritti starter that truly tasted of fresh squid rather than the usual rubber bands, perfectly grilled swordfish with heavenly crispy roasted potatoes and a lightly dressed salad of impeccable greens, spaghetti with local clams that were tiny but tasty. Lots of loyal locals in evidence anchoring the tourists. As the elegant French ladies at the next table would say, “une bonne adresse.”

Lovely place with nice atmosphere and delicious food and wine! Highly recommend! Staff very friendly. Everything was delicious:-)
