The food here was beautiful. Really tasty and big portions. They catered for vegan diets too, the Margarita was one of the best I've had. Great place to eat out.

I have dined at Sorrento for many years as it was my mum’s favourite restaurant. My wife and I returned after spreading my father-in-law’s ashes on Saturday at Our Lady’s church. There were around 13 of us and I was delighted that the food and service had not changed one bit. Whilst the boss was off picking up an award in Sorrento, his daughter Anna did a fab job running the show. Great experience and thoroughly worth a visit. All the best to the Sorrento team with the new restaurant opening in Birkdale in Feb 2025.

Absolute shambles , we reserved a table for 9 3-4 weeks before our booking, paid a deposit the week before and pre-order as requested. When we arrived the place was chaotic, after 20 minutes we managed to order a drink and after 45 minutes our table still wasn’t ready. The staff told us the table would be ready in 5 minutes and then served cake to the party on the table we had booked . We gave up eventually , even the owner wasn’t in control and no one was either apologetic or actually tried to solve the problem , they just expected us to wait . At least 2 other parties were in the state as us - please avoid this restaurant unless your are on a diet .

Ordered poached eggs on Toast, garbage! The poached eggs were disappointing, as they weren't traditionally poached but rather made using a microwave egg holder, which lacked the quality and texture I expected. I also specifically requested brown bread with butter but was served white bread instead. When I pointed out the mistake, the staff blamed it on focusing too much on my butter request and mentioned they were busy, which didn’t feel like a reasonable excuse.

On the whole, the food is good and at a good price, but their chicken burgers are a bit dry, and they put too much cheese on their pizzas. They put cheese on top of the topping as on the tomato sauce. The staff are friendly

toast was burnt, sausages are super cheap dog meat style and arrived an hour late

Awful . Chicken kebab dry, lukewarm and vinegary. Kofta tasted cheap rubbery and shop bought. Pisa burger supposed to be chicken and 2 smash burgers but came with only 1 of the smallest smash burgers I’ve had. First time ordering from here and won’t be again

The best Italian restaurant on wigan by a country mile. Food is so fresh and tasty and excellent value. Highly reccomend.
