Always excellent food every time.

This place must have changed hands because it was absolutely awful and it never used to be! We didn't receive the coleslaw ordered x 2, pathetic salad, tuna mayo was absolutely tasteless and chicken tikka was inedible due to the meat being so dry and both jacket potatoes completely over cooked to mush. Also ordered scones which were both stale. The phone number on here doesn't work and another number we found on line just rang out. We ordered from here a lot, won't order from them again.

Always come in here most Fridays take a gentleman out for dinner who I care for. Always good food and can't help you enough. Thank you 😊

Food is lovely but my order was delayed then when the woman delivered my order she said that there’s a free cake an she was sorry about the delay but no free cake but other than that that everything was excellent 😢👍

Lovely quaint cafe just off the motorway. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and food was nice. Reasonably priced.

Ordered as a treat & usually really enjoy this. Haven’t ordered for about two months but I did today. The chips are now fries and they were hard, the chicken strips were really small (more like small goujons). …I ordered a mint aero milkshake and they tried to contact me but I didn’t see they made me an Oreo one and said I can have that or my money back which was fine (it was delicious).

I haven't ordered from Heather's in a while, as they changed the XL breakfast to 6 sausages and no bacon. I had a check today to see if this had changed and it had, so I placed an order. The food was piled up with mushy hashbrowns at the bottom and beans thrown all over it. It was late and only luke warm with black bits in it and my cappuccino had a skin on it. You used to get your beans and tomatoes separate from the breakfast but not anymore. The quality and presentation has really declined :(

The best breakfast takeaway by far, great food great portion options and arrives well wrapped and piping hot 🔥 There is a fantastic menu that caters for every dietary requirement and lot's of choice. I would highly recommend to anybody. ♥️

I don’t know what has happened today, I’ve ordered quite a lot in the past and usually nice but I feel this will be my last time ordering, it’s not a hotdog, it’s a sausage, was meant to have ketchup and onion but they put mustard on it, everything was freezing cold, the milkshakes taste funny like they have gone off, even the dog won’t eat any of it, absolutely disgusting and have asked for a refund, i think it might be new owners coz the menu has changed and the ingredients have and it’s absolutely vile.

Usually very good food and service however, food was 45 mins late, cold when it arrived, missing a portion of chicken nuggets and chips, we asked for no mayonnaise on a burger due to an allergy and it arrived with mayonnaise, we also asked for no beans on a breakfast and the food arrived covered in it. Now we can’t get through on the phone been ringing for the past 20 mins since food was delivered

Love ordering from here food is great, however I ordered a milkshake that didn't arrive with my food today. Not too fussed just requested a refund via just eat. I tried to call the cafe but the phone line is just permanently a dead tone which is the bigger concern.

Where to start. I don't know what has happened but heathers is not the same. No home made coleslaw and a sausage butty as a hotdog. No red salt on the chips and missing cheese off the cheese burger. Missing fries also. Last time we ordered it was the same issue but I gave it another chance. Unfortunately I won't be ordering again. Shame as it was one of my favourites 😒

Either the business has changed hands or the quality has gone down hill within the past couple of months, the quality of food and packaging has changed quite drastically compared to what it was like before October yet prices have stayed the same. Unfortunate!

I used to go in the cafe about 4 years ago when I was pregnant and even when my son was born. It was our favourite cafe to go to! The decor, the staff, the atmosphere…and the food was the best! However, we’ve just ordered on just eat and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food to turn up! I rang the cafe twice to ask where our food was. The first time i was told it’s the next order to go out the door and they’re busy, and the second time I was told my postcode doesn’t match my address (definitely does!). Communication is shocking. Where’s the phone call then if there’s confusion over the postcode?! Why am I the one to chase my order?! The food itself was alright. Nothing special compared to what it was like 4 years ago. Can’t fault the milkshakes though. The delivery driver was lovely and friendly and a lot nicer than the girl who was on the other end of the phone who just answers saying ‘Heathers’. No wonder this business is up for sale put it that way. I have rang up since my order came to request a refund and nobody answered the phone. I have better things to be doing than keep ringing the landline. Just horrendous.

Came here with my friends on the passing and found it to be clean, staff friendly & welcoming, food taste amazing, really soft babs and tasty sausages. Really impressed with the service and food.

I ordered a full breakfast for my husband for delivery as he was working from home. On arrival the packaging was excellent and the food itself was lovely very happy husband 😀

Waited two hours for a delivery. After the third call they said the order hadn't even started cooking yet due to being a driver down which wasn't advised when the order was placed.

I ordered breakfast through just eat and I was very disappointed in the food I received, sausages undercooked, if they look the same colour as when you got them out of the packet then it's underdone, the bacon has very little taste and was well overdone, hash browns just taste of oil and we're very soggy, the toast was so hard I could hammer nails in with it, just very poor all round.

I meet my friend here sometimes for breakfast on my day off. It's friendly, very reasonably priced and the food is good. Egg on toast is lovely. Coffee exactly as you'd want it. Never tried the cakes but they look great!

Lovely staff. Food was really tasty and a good price. You could tell the staff were really busy with online orders but still looked after in store service.

I ordered a sausage and egg bap, lotus cheesecake and a smoothie. The delivery driver was very lovely when he got the door and the food was delicious. Although I felt it took a while for delivery it is a smaller business so it is expected. Food was packaged really well and I enjoyed everything!

I ordered a breakfast through Just Eat and received it over an hour and a half later. The food was cold and the quality was below average, especially considering the outrageously overpriced portion sizes; I also rang up to ask how long my food was going to be and the staff member who answered the phone was extremely rude, overall I’m just really disappointed with every aspect of my purchase and won’t be coming here again.

Went here for my lunch the other day. I paid £7.10 for a jacket potato with chicken and a bottle of diet coke. The food was below average. For a £1 I asked for a side salad. I wish I'd taken a photo of my few scraps of lettuce, one slice of tomato and two bits of red onion!! Daylight robbery. I was very disappointed. The food is over priced for what you get.

I meet a friend here every few months as it's midway meeting point for us. The jacket potatoes are delicious and served with lovely accompaniments. I haven't tried anything else yet but keep meaning to as it's all really good value.

We love Heather's cafe and visit regularly. The breakfast is always spot on and the milkshakes are delicious. Great delivery service also.

Popped in for breakfast on our way home from a little break. Food and coffee very nice. Very friendly staff and very clean cafe. Would definitely recommend.

The food good I would go there again

Absolutely great food, only fault I can give is the barm cakes fall to bits when I try to eat my food. But other than that I will be certainly going again.

to be fair, this place should be better than it is. Great little place but the breakfast has a hell of a lot to do before it can be considered nice. The cheapest of ingredients used i guess, the sausage has more rusk in it than a baby biscuit .... awful.

I’ve been a loyal customer since they opened in 2017. I regularly go into the cafe with my daughter. I also order from the cafe on just eat. However, I unfortunately will not be returning. My daughter is 3 years old. She was playing with her friend after they had finished their dinner. There was no other customers in the cafe at the time. The lady behind the counter was rather rude to my daughter and insisted it “wasn’t a playground”. The way she spoke to her made my friends daughter cry. I think there’s ways of saying things without making a 3 year old cry and upsetting loyal and regular customers. Not really family friendly unfortunately.

Clean, bright and excellent food and service.

Lovely food and delicious smoothies. Would give 5 stars if slightly better quality sausage and the plates were warmed. It wouldn't stop me returning.

I recently purchased a rental property in the area and have been working tirelessly for the last couple of days to renovate. The house has no means of pulling a meal together so I went to this small shabby chic cafe in Wigan for breakfast. The place was clean, well staffed, beautiful decor and exceptional customer service. We got the vegetarian breakfast, vegetarian burger (not cooked from frozen, it looked and tasted freash) and a reeses milkshake. The milkshake was just perfect. The food arrived hot and was served in large portions at a reasonable price. I am taking my family for breakfast again in the morning, before we travel back to London. Would i come again? Definitely Would i recommend? Definitely Naveed

My daughter and myself had the misfortune to go in and order two chicken sandwiches. The assistant at the till wasn't distracted. Our sandwiches were just two s (being polite here)lices of bread with processed chicken, soggy crisps and the coleslaw which we said we didn't was at the bottom 8f the plastic carrier the salad that we asked to be out on the sandwiches. I'm sure the polystyrene container would have tasted better not worth the £4.80 each. I wouldn't have given them £2. I'm surprised its still trading if that's the standard of food and the staff.

Lovely lunch and excellent fast service even in the current climate! Will definitely be back whilst I'm working from home!

I order from Heather's often and always find the food is nice, cooked properly. Good choice of menu options. Staff are very friendly and helpful on the phone. Definitely recommend.

I wanted to pre order and pre pay for breakfast tomorrow for Friday 12th. It is my partner’s birthday on Friday and unfortunately I also have a planned telephone hospital appointment to receive scan results. The results could be good or far from good. I wanted to organise a special breakfast for us both before I got my results. At least then what ever the outcome we would have had a nice birthday breakfast for him. But NO. It doesn’t fit their routine so no can do. They obviously don’t believe in personal orientated service. I have been here a few times in the past but won’t be going back. Oh and the breakfast wrap is dry and horrible.

Ordered sandwiches, scones and cakes to make a V E Day afternoon tea. Everything was homemade and tasted delicious 😋. Would definitely recommend. It gets a ten from Len!!

Placed an order for delivery. It took over an hour and half to come. The staff were extremely rude on the phone when we rang up to ask where it was. When the food arrived it was cold and wrong! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

I have been many times before to Heather's cafe and food and staff have been lovely. Today however was a very different story. Myself and 3 other colleagues arrived and ordered a drink and sat down. We then proceeded to have a discussion on training ect. Half way through the meeting a staff member asked if we wanted to order food. We answered no thank you to which we were told we needed to order food or pay £30.00 to use venue which was empty except for us! We finished and paid for of drinks. Told Heather herself we weren't happy and couldn't understand this. To which she replied it is her business and she can do as she pleases in this regard. We will never use her again and would not recomend them due to the attitude and way we were all made to feel. Such a shame when we wanted to and have supported this small business before. :(

It's a great little coffee shop, it's lovely and welcoming and very clean . Heather herself serves you and helps to make you feel "local" , its easy to find and the food and coffees are excellent. Always visit if I'm in the area , although it's well worth a trip out

Popped in for breakfast and were delighted with feel of the cafe. Very fresh and welcoming. Enjoyed our breakfast. A bit more of a friendly welcome from staff, would have given a five!

Easy to find off M6 Junct 26. Lunch was nice and not expensive. Chose Orrell for convenience to meet friends who were travelling north on M6.

Went for the first time yesterday with a mate both.had the large breakfast brilliant cooked lovely place is spotless and bright nothing to much trouble would go again have something different very clean toilets spotless. Only thing is the parking very dodgy

Very long post. We used to love this place, we have been buying food from heather's once a week for the past 18 months as it's always been delicious! But lately something has changed. Our orders are always wrong, online or in the cafe and don't even bother telling them without getting a mouth full from the staff. When we order online it always comes cold and the portions of curly fries are very small for the high cost. Last time we ordered online our food was 2 hours late.. when I rang up after an hour of it being late I was told it was on its way and that they were having difficulty with one of the drivers, nether the less, they should have phoned me to explain. Anyways. An hour after it being on its way it turned up, cold and items missing. I rang the shop and they asked me if I wanted them to bring a replacement, after waiting 2 hours I no longer had time to wait for another order. So we threw it in the bin and got food on the way out. They told us the owner would contact us the following day. After 10 days of waiting for the owner me family decided to go into the cafe for dinner and ask about our order. We thought we may have gotten a free meal since we threw our last one in the bin because it was inedible, or perhaps some money back. We got £5 even though our late, freezing order was £34 and no apology. There excuse for not contacting us was because they had a break in the night before. So what happened the other 9 days we waited? When we ordered in the cafe everything we ordered was wrong. After 20 minutes my dad got given 2 latte's even though he only ordered 1 , no big deal. I told one of the staff members we only ordered one and she was insistent that we ordered two. Then my husband asked for no egg on his breakfast and no butter on his toast, but guess what he had butter and eggs. We told the same member of staff and she said "I didn't have chance to let the kitchen staff know" Even though she was stood 2 meters away from the kitchen staff the entire time and she was chatting to them whilst they were cooking. So she went off and sorted it, but she wasn't happy that we asked her to sort out her mistake. Then came my burger, a chicken burger, even though I ordered a beef burger. So I went back to the till with it and told them what I ordered and what I got, but apparently I ordered a chicken & bacon burger and they were going to check the audio recording of my order.. I don't know what happened to the customer always being right, but the staff where very rude to me. So I told them to check the recordings and let me know. They started faffing with there phones trying to hear it. Then I was told it's not working and they made my beef burger I actually ordered. If you did manage to get it working I'd love to hear it. Because you got our entire order wrong and blamed us for it, but if you ask me, the lady on the till either needs sacking or a hearing aid. I'd love to hear some feedback as to why you where so rude and did not sort our freezing cold order out properly. To be honest I just think you guys can't be bothered anymore.

Nice venue, good food and lovely staff

I recently had a vegetarian breakfast there and I really enjoyed it. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 solely because they served margarine and not butter.

2 cooked breakfasts standard cafe food eggs a bit disappointing as fluffy and popped ,sausage standard not high meat content but service very quick friendly and place lovely clean and bright

We visited this morning with our 1 year old. The cafe was very lovely, decor was vintage and had a lovely feel to it. Reasonably priced and the food was lovely. Parking off road and facilities for children We will certainly visit again

After a slow start this cafe seems to be, at last, starting to attract customers, and for a very good reason. Reasonably priced and child friendly, good food and delicious coffee is served in a relaxed atmosphere. Well done and keep up the good work.
