Nice little cafe, you don’t get much for the money but it’s enough and everyone is happy and chatty inside, if your up here give it a try

Early morning had the place basically all to myself. Just a nice cup of coffee and some peace, twas like heaven. Definitely going to come and check out the bistro.

This cafe/bistro is an absolute gem for Atherton.Ordered jacket cheese & beans & a latte my usual before I rate any establishment.The food was quick & was absolutely spot on. Nice soft fluffy large jacket spud plenty of cheese & beans & a nice healthy fresh side salad.The staff where very polite & helpful & the food was piping hot & reasonably priced for the food you receive.I have no complains what so ever about this establishment.If that changes this review section will be the 1st to know.Would I recommend.. Absolutely yes food a solid 10 out of 10. Staff 10 out of 10. Atmosphere 10 cosy and welcoming.Will I be returning. Almost definately very soon to try other menu items.Keep up the Stella work Roma you seem to be doing everything right. & I'm pretty brutal & to the point when I leave a review. Thanks for the pleasant experience👍

Just wanted to say that the food and drink and service was fantastic. Everything that was served was fresh and fantastic will definitely be returning to this place. We have had breakfast here a few times and it's always been good. Highly recommend it.

Very nice bistro well too expensive and pretty poor quality garlic bread with cheese.. there is a takeaway across the road from this bistro called Pizza Colluseum their pizzas and garlic bread really do put this place too shame.

Went to Roma for the first time last night. Oh my, it was delicious. They have just got their old chef back, and it really was amazing! Had garlic mushrooms and garlic bread with cheese to start. The dough was so light. Hubby had a pizza, which was excellent, and I had the cannelloni, which is the best I have ever had. We even had two cocktails on the house as we had to wait while they got the ingredients. Thank you so much. It is now our favourite Italian and we will definitely be back soon.

Bacon was poor quality,very salty and cold Sausage was poor quality ( mushy meat ) Plate was cold, egg was poor quality as we the beans. Will not be going there again

I have been going to Roma cafe for a few years now, the food is lovely. I get together with my friends there a couple of times a week so I know the place very well. This past few weeks the radio is on far too loudly and the tv too. It was never like that until recently but now it is difficult to have a conversation and even if you went alone there is no way you could get some peace and quiet. Several of us have complained about the noise but no-one seems interested so we are now thinking of finding somewhere else to go. It`s a shame. If you don`t mind the racket then fine but otherwise stop away is my advice.

The food here is lovely, the lobster ravioli is amazing. My family like coming here when they visit me and were pleased to see it back open in the evening. I would recommend to anyone in order to support this local business. The only thing I'd say is the details need updating on Google as it still says it's closed at 3pm. If I hadn't have walked past I wouldn't have known. Not a criticism but would be beneficial so you don't lose custom unnecessarily!

Menu varied, disappointed with having no lasagne or cannelloni on it, had the spaghetti bolognaise to eat, was nice, tomato garlic bread was good also. Drinks pricey, beer only in bottles, overall was ok.

I won't be going again. Having tuts and Huff's and puffs because I gave her 3 £10 notes. I suggest you manage your till better and get more change, rather than making your customers feel uncomfortable. When cleaning the table I didn't want a world wind and attitude. Just clean the table calmly with a positive attitude. I also didn't expect to wait as long as I did waiting to be served. Please improve your attitude. It wasn't just me that commented a number of people on other tables said the same

Definitely the best place for a vegetarian breakfast. Friendly staff and good value for money. The staff will also help you in with a wheelchair aswell. Definitely recommend this place. The lattes are fantastic aswell.

Excellent pizzas, reasonable prices, lovely staff.

We visited here last night for the first time. It was a family outing and they did not disapoint. The food was amazing, very tasty, great service too. Some meals might look a little pricey but it's well worth a visit and worth the money. I also like that you can see the food being prepared, shows there is nothing too hide. Only thing that disappointed me really was the service charge they added to the bill. I'd rather leave a tip of my own, so be sure to add to the pricing when looking but don't let it put you off.

Had dinner here last night with friends at this lovely restaurant and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent authentic food with excellent customer service. Starters of Spicey garlic bread with mains of Lasagne, Cannelloni, Linguini Marinana all served timely hot and delicious. Thankyou to all the staff at Roma for a lovely evening cx

A group of us went to Roma to celebrate my friends 70th birthday we had a brilliant night delicious food and excellent service couldn't have been better !

Booked a table for 2 for Saturday 16th October for 8.00pm. Arrived a few minutes early but we were seated promptly. Our order was taken for the two course meal at 8.10pm and the starters were served at 9.00pm!! My wife had the cheese mushrooms which were ok, however I had the ribs in what all I can say was the most acidic tasting bbq sauce, the ribs were fatty which the sauce camouflaged perfectly, they were inedible. For our mains which again took such a long time to arrive, other customers who came after us were served before us! My wife ordered the steak rossini which again she enjoyed no complaints, however I had the chicken in Parmesan and breadcrumbs but no where on the menu did it say it had chilies in them, my mouth was on fire and I couldn't finish the meal. Also the pasta that came with the meal wasn't up to scratch. We were at no point asked how our meal was in the duration of the time we were there, all we were asked is were we willing to give a 10% tip on top of a very expensive meal. Its such a shame as Atherton has got so many lovely eating establishments but this one I wont be visiting or recommending for an evening meal again.

I have spent quite a bit of time in Italy and from my experience Roma Cafe Bistro has some of the most authentic Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy. The menu is varied and everything is cooked to perfection. From pizza to steak to lobster ravioli, you really cannot go wrong here. They food is very reasonably priced and considering the quality is actually very low priced. The beers are priced slightly too high for the area but the food more than makes up for it. There is parking at the rear and other than a very small step the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Brilliant. Small town cafe by day and high quality Italian restaurant by night. For size menu extensive and food very well presented and cooked correctly. Will be back. Need to book its always full and they are doing a mid week early menu at very good prices.

Lovely meal, arrived before time predicted, all food arrived hot & was delicious, definitely order again.

One star because I don't have an option for zero. Ordered takeaway on Saturday.. I wasn't best pleased, the chicken were dry and somehow tough and inedible with wilted asparagus. The ribs were ridiculously fatty and came in some vinegary sauce that lacked flavour. The chips had been cooked in old chip fat and arrived stale. My prawn pasta dish that I unfortunately didn't take a picture of was basically passata with prawns in.. which I only ate because I were absolutely starving by the time it arrived. When we rang the restaurant the said they'd be in touch to rectify. My wife had to ring them after 5 days of no contact to be told well 'she isn't a chef' well I will tell you something chicken and cream with asparagus in it requires seasoning. When I order a sauce with garlic and chilli in it guess what? That's what I actually expect in a sauce.. I'm no chef but my maker blessed me with actually taste buds. What we ordered as a treat ended up being an expensive mistake avoid at all costs.

Had a lamb shank Sunday dinner.. Very poor. The lamb shank wasn't cooked long enough,(should have fell off the bone, however I had a TUFF time with mine. Quarter of carrot sliced very thinly & arranged round the edge of my plate, very tiny amount of broccoli also. Only saving grace was the mash. Rang them to complain & was told" You should have asked . Hmm. Anyone who knows Lamb shank should know you slow cook for good few hours. Not rocket science £12. ??????

I have eaten here several times and the food, people and atmosphere are always lovely. Everything is cooked to perfection with high quality ingredients and skilled chefs, who deal with any special requests in a pleasant manner. The lady who runs the front of house is always cheerful, friendly and accommodating. I cannot recommend Cafe Roma Bistro highly enough.
