Amazing restaurant. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had.

Enjoyed beautiful, well presented food, chef tweaked my cannelloni and it was perfect! The lamb ribs were delicious too. All the staff are attentive and pleasant. Definitely return. Soon.

5 plus stars at every visit. A family run resturant who's main pirorty is not only good food but also excellent service. Every visit to the restaurant has been 5 star from food to service. Family run all so friendly, welcoming and warm. Most recently we had christmas day dinner and our sons 13th birthday (same day) staff really do go above and beyond ❤️. Enjoy the food atmosphere and service we enjoy not being rushed. Food is absolutely amazing always excellent standards. And service 5 stars.

Terrific meal from a family run business. Great service and wonderful food. Mussels, calamari and garlic mushrooms were all excellent and generously proportioned. Pasta is to die for and the tiramisu is next level. Staff are extremely engaging and nothing is too much trouble.

Just had an incredible meal. Impeccable service too. Flavours superb, proper italian. Wasn't going to have dessert until my wife spotted the Cannoli. Haven't found anyone doing them in a North West restaurant, so had to give it a go. These were the real deal. Staff attentive, but not over the top. Perfect evening. This review was hanging in my drafts. Been several times since and it is consistently excellent. Seen quibbles about service charges which I can't see on a menu, and have never noticed one applied. Perhaps it's just for larger parties?

Had our daughters 18th Birthday meal here - food was amazing, staff couldn't do enough for us, atmosphere was lovely - highly recommend ❤️

Absolutely lovely place. Ambiance was spot on. Staff attentive and polite. Food was exquisitely presented and tasty. Stone oven which is always a plus in my eyes can’t beat pizza and garlic bead cooked to perfection in the oven. Owner was a lovely gent. Most definitely will tell my friends and bring them to dine here as often as I can. Thank you to all the staff and chefs for a pleasant visit.

Been twice now, one of the times being tonight (valentines night) and honestly the food has been beautiful both times and service has been lovely. Not sure on the waitress name that saw to us and kept on checking on us (I think her name may begin with A) she has been absolutely lovely both times, can't do enough for you and even noticed I was cold and made sure I was saw to etc which was really nice and made me feel very comfortable considering I'm almost 6 months pregnant. Can't fault food nor service. 5 ⭐️

Food was average at best. Service could have been good but was ruined by one overbearing waitress who was just a nuisance. She was constantly flapping around the table, mithering us, asking questions the other staff had already asked and trying to be funny by being rude and sarcastic. The same waitress then overcharged us on our bill by more than £30, and had the cheek to blame me for her poor basic maths skills. It was then such a time consuming farce to get this refunded. We would not recommend this restaurant or return.

Great pizza, kind and friendly manager. Pretty quick service as well. Only one suggestion: give some further training for the staff, like coffee making, and you have one less job to do. 😊 Good job, well done.

The staff went above and beyond to make my 12yr old nieces birthday extra special - they were so friendly, attentive and even allowed her and her 5yr old brother to make a pizza. Fantastic staff, amazing food and lovely environment - would highly recommend.

Food is absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend the starter on the specials of mushroom spinach and goats cheese. Service is fast and staff are friendly. 10/10

Loved it, especially the pasta dishes. Manages to keep the locals happy and stay fairly true to Italian homestyle dishes, I would highly recommend it ,it worth every penny.

Be careful when paying you bill, the owner adds a hefty service charge, he may have done this as we were a big group and thought we wouldn't notice, the girls put down our bill then he came and removed it away which we thought was odd, he had put an none optional service charge on the bill, am all for tipping but not in that way, also tried to round up my payment as we paid cash and card, I complained about this but he never once offered to remove it. Food was nice the waitresses were lovely, just hope they actually get there share of the tips. In response to your reply below, that's not true it wasn't optional he never offered to take it off when I said we would rather tip in cash direct to the girls that served us,I told him I wouldn't go again because of how he handled the payment and he still didn't offer to take the service charge off, although he did apologise for rounding my part of the paymnet up tp 70,Apparently according to a member of staff we asked he does this often and people won't like it. It costs enough to go out these days without the pressure being added to leave a large service charge/tip.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for weeks. I drive past it almost every day and in the evening the air is filled with the wonderful smell of Italian food. I decided to get a takeaway this evening so phoned them as I was leaving work to ask about their menu and arrange collection. They were lovely and helpful on the phone. I ordered seafood tagliatelle, garlic bread and tiramisu. They were very welcoming when I arrived to collect my food. Everything was amazing. The seafood was fresh & juicy, the sauce had just enough heat and the portion sizes were very generous. Loved it! Looking forward to dining in the restaurant very soon.

Had a fantastic meal in house. Enjoyed it so much we ordered takeaway, this was not nearly as good and the menu was incorrect. However, when I phone to complain, they offered us a redo in house. The in house dining was fantastic again. And the staff were so friendly and apologetic. My favourite dish is the Baked spaghetti el sapore signature dish which is apparently the family matriarch's recipe. Will definitely eat there again. I highly recommend, great family restaurant.

Second time going here with girls from work. Warm welcome, very attentive and excellent food. I'm a very fussy eater but my food was amazing. Spotlessly clean both the restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

I recently discovered this beautiful restaurant in Ashton and It’s literally a gem. The food was delicious and most importantly it was authentic to the Italian cuisine. I went last summer to Rome with my family and the food is the same. The service was also really good: the waitress was really sweet to us and made sure we were well accommodated. Definitely recommend it!

Staff were excellent but I'm afraid that the food was not as good as we'd expected. Carbonara as too greasy and the pizzas we received were very salty.

Had lovely food yesterday at Il Sapore in Ashton. It was a surprise birthday meal for my Husbands birthday. Total party of 40 people which is a big ask for any restaurant. Staff worked so hard. Communication beforehand was excellent and it all ran so smoothly. I am so grateful and would highly recommend them.

Great find down Ashton. Rang up and got a table for in a few hours time. Starter came and was huge.... I had creamy garlic mushrooms and husband had chicken wings. Both tasted amazing and felt full after that. For the mains we had tortellini in a mushroom sauce stuffed with spinach and ricotta and chicken topped with pepperoni and cheese, also came with veg and potatoes. I couldn't eat all mine so they boxed it up . Great food, great price and great service. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Large family gathering. Serving staff were so friendly and helpful. Environment is comfortable and good quality. Food was incredible. Everyone of our party loved and enjoyed the food. Good size portions and great value for money.

The tomato soup starter was lovely, the rest of the meal wasn't good, the staff were lovely however

After our first visit I was slightly gutted. Staff was actually very attentive, it just took ages for our food to arrive. Food in general was nice, calzone was quite good, however fish was just alright as well as spaghetti. Veggies were completely tasteless. Italian cuisine is famous for its herbs so was expecting a bit more. Soon will give another go and will see if it'll be any better. And hopefully inside design i.e. chairs and tables will change soon for better ones.

We had a great night here on Saturday, the staff are so lovely, there was a bit of confusion with my G&T but the waiter sorted it quickly and without any fuss, they really do look after you. We both had pasta dishes which were absolutely delicious, we will definitely be returning and would recommend El Sapore

Went for lunch with a friend - lovely food and attentive staff - new venture wish them well and will be returning - had Italian garlic bread ( pesto cheese and tomato 🇮🇹 ) but tucked in before taking photos

We had a range of the menu, sampling starters, pizza and pasta between a few friends. All food was fantastic, the pizzas being the highlight for me. It was always a restaurant quality takeaway so it's lovely to see it's taken the plunge to become a restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive which really added to the evening. Can't wait to go again.

Extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant on Saturday evening. The staff were very good, they were professional and attentive, it's just a shame that the food was not good. We were a party of four and ordered starters of mushrooms in a creamy sauce, lamb spare ribs and 2 x calamari. The mushrooms looked like a bowl of mushroom soup, the spare ribs were in a very thin pale gravy and the calamari was greasy and undercooked. All were disappointing. In fact we were dreading the arrival of the mains . The meatballs in tomato sauce were good, the stuffed peppers passable but overcooked, the risotto in a creamy sauce with crispy bacon just looked like a bowl of rice pudding it was too runny and extremely bland with about six tiny pieces of ham - it was just not eatable. The risotto in tomato sauce was again very runny and totally bland. Needless to say we gave desserts a miss. The best thing about the whole meal was the bottle of wine. We told the waitress that we weren't happy with the food we had been given and explained why. She came back to say that the chef had stated that this was the way these items were meant to be cooked - this clearly is not true. I don't know where the chef is from, but I suspect it isn't Italy. We paid the bill in full and got up to leave, and one member of staff said "Hope to see you again soon". My wife replied that there wasn't much chance of that as they didn't seem bothered about our complaint. At this point we were offered a £10 reduction on our bill of £120+ but we did not accept this offer - too little and too late. The restaurant claims to be the best Italian restaurant in Ashton but it doesn't even come close to Primo( except in price).

Went with my friend, the food was delicious and service was excellent. The decor is very stylish would definitely go again.
