A great meal in a lovely restaurant

been going for years as a family been tonight for the first time in a while different front of house not a patch on the usual fella and food was very poor seemd more like ping and ding food than the fresh cooked were use to there very disappointed

Beautiful little place. We had a table for 2 and were really looked after by staff. Everyone was polite, and the service was quick. The food was amazing, I dont usually eat a lot, but I finished my entire chicken, it was chicken breast in breadcrumbs with parma ham and a cream sauce. My husband had the chicken souvlaki which was also amazing. We'll definitely be making this a regular place

We’ve been going here for a few years and always fantastic food and service - last week it exceeded even its own impressive standards. Food incredibly fresh, no skimping on portions like some places do, king prawn starter out of this world and very generous. All with the best service and delicious reasonably priced wine - highly recommend the montepulciano! Fabulous night for all 8 of us

Disgusting!! Garlic bread cold, mains greasy, this was a collection and we live less than 2 mins away. Picked up in car so we could eat sooner, arrived home served to find said problems. It should not go cold in such a short space of time and it was collected on time. Left us hungry

Been going here for years since it opened and it has always been amazing, last night unfortunately the food was very disappointing and the front of house was nowhere to be seen to address the problems with the food. Would hate to say we will never go again but will book with caution next time, hope they can sort out whatever their issues are and soon.

I’m sadly scoring at 2 stars today. This is my 3rd visit to Toscana and previously no problem however tonight with a party of 11, Some of the party paying cash but most card- at which point told only 3card payments allowed!!! The bill over £300 This wasn’t mentioned on booking or on ordering food and drinks and only pointed out on the menu at time of payment🤷‍♀️. In this day and age most people don’t carry cash and there was no negotiation despite us offering to pay a little extra each for any bank charges. It Maybe worth pointing this out to customers on booking to avoid any inconvenience and privacy risk of sharing bank details to arrange bank transfers to each other! What a Shambles -this has sadly put us off visiting the restaurant again.

Food was great, service was great, but it was a little strange that they wouldn't accept card payments for anything under £10 (including drinks). I understand why - because of fees - but I've not come across this before in a restaurant. And once seated at our table, they wouldn't let us pay for drinks in cash individually, it had to be added to the table's bill.

We have been going to Toscan for several years. Menu ow much reduced. Head waiter should not be front of house. Completely wrong attitude to customers. Sorry to say this was our last visit.

Family celebration, first time here for me and my wife! Absolutely first class. Food, service, ambience, friendliness second none! Well done Toscana, we will definitely be back and thank you to you all!

Ok, so this is the 4th time we’ve dined here… first 3 amazing service and food! Sadly this time not so great… not great service- waited an age for our order to be taken ( not busy at this point) Order taken eventually but wrong food brought to our table on two occasions- first lasagne then pasta Sicilian… I’d ordered linguine Mediterranean 🤷‍♀️ it was taken away whilst my family ate their meal. Pasta was bland when eventually brought. Plates left… then asked for the bill- when asked if everything was ok… we said not great tonight, the waitress said “ sorry we’re busy and lack of trained staff” Will be hard pushed to revisit! Which is a shame- poor table next to us had to ask for their order to be taken.

Well looked after by the staff for my Granddaughters 18th birthday party

Cosy little restaurant with a sunny outside area for drinks before/after food. Had the ribs which were so meaty, staff happy to accommodate for fussy eaters! Really polite also. Goats cheese was mouth watering and the Penne Di Manzo had loads of beef in it too, really tasty food. All well price and house wine cheaper than most. Will definitely be back!

Can't fault the place only 4 on atmosphere cos I like punk music lol

If you go you just have to have the steak, it's the best steak ever. The food is delicious service is great.

My tenth visit here and the food is consistently excellent. The kitchen do a wonderful job of bringing out food for the whole table at the same time for a large group. The service staff work hard to make sure everything is right. I was impressed we were not rushed and we enjoyed our meal. The music could have been more atmospheric, but overall its a comfortable place. The vegetarian in our party was underwhelmed with the menu choices which is why I dropped a star.

Waiting for Toscana to update their recipes and join the 21st Century with some more interesting vegetarian dishes other than the in flight choices of penne pasta, veg risotto and veg pizza. It would be good if they had at least one main meal listing that was vegetarian. Only saying

We visited this restaurant on Wednesday 17th April for an early evening meal, there were 3 in our party. We were greeted very professionally on arrival and given a choice of 2 tables, we chose the corner table and on seating our server Meghan introduced herself to us and promptly took our wine order and brought the menus for us. Meghan impressed us with her attention throughout the evening. The house wine was excellent ( white and red). We all decided to go for the fixed price meal of three courses and I have got to say the food was simply outstanding. Generous portions and top quality ingredients and cooked superbly. Thank you for a memorable evening and we will definitely be back next time we visit our family.

Disappointed to hear management (a grown man) speaking to the young girls waiting on us like rubbish. Didn't sit right with me at all. Lovely girls waiting on us tonight, so thank you our party appreciated you, but not the very rude manager! Not a professional way to run a restaurant or speak to staff. Shame as all our party enjoyed the food

A great experience, enjoyed by all. Our little granddaughter was with us and loved waving to the staff. All food really fresh, tasty and plentiful. We have never been let down by Toscana, thanks everyone! See you soon

Atmosphere and decor really welcoming and cosy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent choice on the menu and the midweek offer is fantastic value for money. Good choice for vegetarians and the chef was happy to adjust ingredients accordingly. Wine choice also fantastic! Black pudding starter was delicious. Excellent portion size. Improvement suggestion would be a little more bread would have made it perfect. King prawn linguine again delicious, again minor comment would be that the chilli's didn't have much of a kick or a little more would make it perfect. Creme brulee - texture and portion size perfect,suggestion point a little more vanilla and a little more sugar. This restaurant is a little gem in Hindley, and I intend to visit much more. Highly highly recommend. Amazing food, staff, decor, drinks, desserts and atmosphere! Awesome

Food really nice , mix up with table on arrival but sorted within a few minutes . Lewis and Heidi both worked their socks off and were really helpful when asked for anything 10 out of ten for staff !

Really lovely evening with excellent food and outstanding service. My wife and I opted for the midweek special menu which as well as being terrific value was really tasty. We both had seafood pasta dishes which were delicious. I would highly recommend the black pudding starter . My mother in law picked the calamari and the lamb Henry off the main menu both of which were superb. Our waitress was very friendly but equally professional My second visit and we will return

We went to Toscana's last night for the first time as we've just moved into the area and I've got to say that it definitely won't be the last time. There were five of us and we all agreed that the food was amazing and so was the service. The manager, Ricardo has so much time for the guests and nothing is too much trouble. We all can't wait for our next visit, see you soon.

First time here and wasn’t disappointed-We pre booked and shown to our table on entry-1 of us is gluten free & the host explained in detail how they could accommodate the allergies-superb ribs/prawn starters/fillet steak cooked to perfection & beef stroganoff also.portions were more than adequate which left no room for dessert-will definitely recommend & will be returning.

Fifth time of going. There were 8 of us including 2 children. Went for my son in laws birthday. Food was beautiful as always, atmosphere lovely. Owner came out to check everything was ok. Played happy birthday and brought son in law his dessert with a candle in which was a lovely touch. Wonderful and highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal here - it was cash only when we went because the internet was down. We had the weekday three course for £18 and it was definitely worth the money, the food was high quality and the portions were huge! I had the halloumi fries to start. the penne toscana for main (great for people who like carbonara sauce) and chocolate fudge cake. My family had the prawn cocktail, black pudding, pollo diane (on request), chicken risotto and tirimasu, and they loved it too! Only complaint, which isn't the restaurants fault at all, was children near us playing with ipads on loud volume. What happened to communication! This obviously isn't anything the restaurant can change though. The staff were lovely and observant, checking on us throughout the meal and offering us drinks. I would definitely recommend!

Cannot praise this little gem enough, first visit but booked again after meal. Staff were excellent, as was the food. Friday evening but fully booked and not a spare seat available. Reasonably priced for all food and drinks. If you get chance, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Just visited this beautiful place with five of my friends I would highly recommend it. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff are so friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

Everytime we come over to England from the Netherlands we visit Toscana. Always brilliant service and food. We used to live in Wigan and it was our favourite restaurant!

Love the place only been twice but love the food. Will be going again soon hopefully. We go as a family and grandchildren love the garlic bread with cheese 😅😅. We like the mezz with red wine then a fish pasta.

Went on a Tuesday night for our anniversary. Food was amazing. Wife has the steak which was 10/10 and I had the midweek special. Walked out full and would recommend to anyone fancying an Italian.

Celebrated our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary last night, originally should have been in February but we had an illness that meant we had to rebook, no problem for the staff at Toscana, 11 of us last night, despite the restaurant being quite busy we had our drinks order taken within minutes, food order taken shortly after and when our fussy eater was disappointed about 2 soup options he was offered a 3rd option. All the food was delicious, we had a lovely evening and were well looked after by the Staff, thanks very much.

Excellent as usual, my only problem is what to choose! Back again and still our favorite. Staff always friendly and attentive. I thought that I had said it all about Toscana, and then they introduced the mid-week 3 course special menu - fabulous. Special shout out to Uri and Rick.

Found this little gem a few weeks ago. Have visited every week since. The food is fresh and hot and the staff are brilliant, so friendly and welcoming.. 10/10 would recommend

My absolute favourite restaurant, such fresh delicious food, I’d love to try more but I can never order anything other than their Spanish ribs, absolutely delicious, and their chunky chips are amazing. Great staff and atmosphere, couldn’t recommend more.

A Must Try Restaurant We’ve not visited Toscana for a few months so we were overdue a visit. It was our Wedding Anniversary so we called in midweek. They’ve now included a midweek special menu on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as well as the normal A La Carte options. We went for the special which is even better value than normal. There was a choice of 5 starters, Any Pasta or Pizza on the menu or any Chicken dish (£3 Supplement) followed by any Dessert or Coffee. Little changes have been made to the decor which makes it an even nicer experience. For Thursday the restaurant was almost full which helps the ambiance with a buzz of people enjoying their evening. The management and staff are still as friendly as ever. If you have special dietary needs please ask, they will do their best to accommodate your needs. If you’ve not yet been, I highly recommend you give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

We came for our Valentine’s Day meal and I had the prawn cocktail starter and pollo parmigiana main and it was fabulous! My boyfriend had the goats cheese and the special 22oz T-bone and that was absolutely fabulous amazingly seasoned! And the service was wonderful as always! This restaurant is our favourite place ever! Don’t have a single fault! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish!

Went for daughters birthday. There were 7 of us including 2 children. Staff were very attentive. Food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Even given a complimentary half and half garlic bread pizza. We will definately be back.

The place was busy but had quick service to get our booked table. Our orders were taken quickly, and food was made quick and tasted great. Only thing I found is because it's not a big place but still seats a lot it was quite noisy hence why I marked the atmosphere lower.

First time visiting tonight, absolutely loved it. The staff were wonderful, we had a free garlic tomato bread for any delays, but there were no delays - the food flowed out of the kitchen seamlessly, and without any waiting on our behalf. Couldn't recommend Toscana enough will definitely be back.

Back from watching the Rugby League World Cup final, we booked a table for two on the eleventh hour &….Having spent a fortune the week before in London (watching England get beat by Samoa😢) for average, but very expensive food , we were happy to be back at our little local, community restaurant. Another fabulous meal, great service from the hard working young lasses, despite the restaurant being very busy, and great support and banter with Ricardo, plus fabulous quality food. Great little restaurant, great food. Grand VFM….
