Don Alberto's in Wigan

Came to don albetos for the second time and it was great, amazing fun staff ( you could tell they liked there job) highly recommend

After driving the whole day from London we checked in at Holiday Inn where they recommended this restaurant - and for a very good reason: it serves mouthwatering and succulent south-Italian food. The service was outstanding and my family highly recomends it to you.

Went on a Friday night with family. The food was nice but could have been hotter. The restaurant was extremely busy and very noisy. They have tried to cram as many tables as possible in and they are so close together, that the staff could not get between to serve and had to pass the plates over. A nice place but they have put profit over the comfort of the customers. If they spread the tables out a little to give some privacy, this could be a nice place to visit.

We had booked a table for 5 , we arrived 20 minutes before the booked time, we decided to have a drink at the bar abd to wait for the rest of the group. We were stood at the bar a good 10 minutes before the girl behind the bar even acknowledged us. We sat at our table 25 minutes and we had not even been given a menu, eventually we had to ask for menus. The manager took our orders, he seemed very stressed and in a rush, when our food came one meal was wrong so it had to go back. By the time the correct meal came the rest of us had finished. We found the atmosphere very strained and the service was rubbish. The food wasnt up to their usual standards. My husband and I gave eaten here many many times and have always been impressed but on this occasion we were so disappointed

Amazing night. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. From arriving without having booked we were welcomed into a lovely warm, cozy modern restaurant. Food was excellent could not fault anything at all. The waiters & waitress's were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Music was lovely Italian music but not too loud. Just a lovely atmosphere and an amazing night. We have just booked again and can certainly see this becoming a regular. Thank you Don Alberto's, we'll see you very soon.

At last a proper Italian restaurant, welcoming, great hosts, marvellous authentic cuisine. Could not fault anything, well worth a visit. Wish I lived nearby!!!

Visited for a Tuesday lunch and ordered food from the lunchtime fixed price menu. The food was stunningly good as was the friendly service. We hadn't visited before but will return very soon.

Had a fab New years eve 7 of us had 3 courses and all were delicious the staff are amazing so friendly and obviously enjoy the work they are like a family had a fab singer and DJ on amazing fireworks at midnight and the owner gave us all a complimentary drink which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

Absolutely superb, our second visit and there will be many more. Food and service are top notch. Fantastic is an understatement.

Lovely lunch plenty of choice and not small portions. Staff as always lovely friendly and attentive.
