The best restaurants serving Italian food in Northumberland North East

Great ambience, food very good and reasonably priced. All four us enjoyed our meal, and will definitely put this on our “to do” list when we next visit Northumberland

Excellent meal at Casa Rosso. First time trying this restaurant and we were impressed. Bebe was on point with rhe service.

This place is amazing, such a shame we were the only ones in as the food was delicious, we both thad the fillet Jambalaya, flavour was unreal, chips were amazing but the steak was one of the best I’ve had for a good while, cooked to perfection, would definitely recommend this place

Stayed in Alston on a Wednesday night and this amazing pizza van arrived! The pizzas were freshly made, ready in 5 minutes and delicious! The staff on the van were very friendly and happy to make a pizza whichever way you wanted it.

I’ve been lucky enough to experience Flat Earth a few times and there’s always something different. Imaginative use of flavours, all ingredients home made, such a refreshing change from the usual take away offering.

Had a table booked for a rare night out, restaurant was full. Attentive & chatty team, explained at point of order that they were a member of staff down & food taking a little longer than usual; no problems with that & the regular table sweeps in between ordering & serving to ask if all was ok/did we need drinks etc, couldn’t ask for more. 2 beautifully presented steaks, cooked to perfection, so much flavour with the rest of the contents. Won’t hesitate to return when the chance arises.

No longer what you see in the pic, now a converted van, called "School Yard Pizza". But the pizzas were lovely and good value. Turned up on Friday evening but seems they are not opening Fridays now. Sadly this meant we settled for a rather awful fish and chips from nearby hotel. Anyways...back to School Yard Pizza. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic find. The food, atmosphere and service were amazing. Real friendly ambience and authentic tasting Italian food. The owners and staff are very attentive, it was like having a meal at home, good conversation and great banter. We will definitely be back , thankyou for a great night .

Lovely food, very quick service, perfect experience.

We had pizza, one of us the gluten free. It was real Italian pizza. We had no reservations, but they had a table for us. Everyone was very friendly and we came back the next evening. When back in Seahouses, that will be our favourite restaurant. Highly recommended!

Pizza o.k but nothing special, Service good but with two exceptions: no reaktion to phone and SMS when I tried to reserve, and being placed initially in a relatively cosy niche, ideal for us two and our dog, we have been asked to move to an exposed table on the wall, where lots of people and staff continously passed by. Reason: tables needed for a group of four - but the tables stayed empty during our stay. Atmosphere: heavily fake Italian style , overdecorated, with vinyl floor and walls.

Superb experience from start to finish. Excellent wine food and ambience. Booked again for our last day in amble Friday. Will be back September 2026 and hope to be able to partake once again.

I was expecting great food since it’s supposed to be Italian, but honestly, it was very average. Nothing special. The decor was heavy and not very welcoming. Overall, it didn’t make me want to come back.
