The best restaurants serving Italian food in Westgate Newcastle upon Tyne North East

We visited tonight after reading the Trip Advisor reviews, and were definitely not disappointed! The service was outstanding - we were warmly welcomed and there were constant checks throughout to see if everything was okay. The food was great and plentiful. There is a limited wine list, but the house wine was very good. We shared a couple of starters (calamari and gambas), and then ordered pizza, a caprese salad and a pasta dish. All the food was so good and at very reasonable prices. We felt that visiting Little Nino’s was so much nicer than a city-centre chain. Would I recommend Little Nino’s? Without a doubt - and we’ll definitely be back!

Simplemente mi pizza favorita. No soy ajeno a las pizzas, y de todas las que he comido en esta ciudad, o en toda la región, esta es la mejor. La masa es perfecta, los ingredientes son sabrosos y están cocinados a la perfección. Delicious! Great choice of craft beers. A great addition to the city's wide range of cafes. There's a good vegan and vegetarian range too.

It was early sat night and managed to get a table without a booking as was quiet. I had the dirty doner and a mojito. We can't wait to come back again

No sabía que este lugar existía, pero me alegro de haberlo encontrado. Pedí pasta de salchicha picante y un blanco plano para mi viaje en tren, llegó en 10 minutos, tamaño de porción decente, a un precio razonable, y sabía muy bien! Qué vergüenza que mis medallas de comida traten de comer en un tren oscilante. ¡Volveré otra vez!

Hands down the best Italian in Newcastle. Food is always amazing with great staff. Ones of our family favourites.

Lovely little restaurant, stopped for lunch today after the theatre . Food was really nice, staff were all nice and friendly and nice atmosphere . Would definitely return

The most incredible pasta restaurant! Tasty fresh pasta dishes. The tiramisu is to die for. I would definitely recommend it if you are in newcastle!

We chanced upon Mario's on Valentine's. We didn't have a reservation but still got a table- it was nicely busy. The food was excellent with great veggie options. Had a lovely chat to Mario who was really friendly and welcoming. And it was reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

El almuerzo del domingo de hoy fue excelente. Después de intentar reservar para la 1 pm, nos dicen que estaba completamente reservado hasta las 3 . Cuando llegamos allí el restaurante estaba muy ocupado, la espera valió la pena. Mi marido tenía carne asada mientras yo tenía panza de cerdo, ambos eran muy buenos y de gran valor. No es sorprendente que esté tan ocupado, la calidad era excelente, y el personal muy amable. Comemos aquí a menudo para una cena, pero sin duda volveremos para el almuerzo del domingo

¡Este Mac and Cheese tiene que ser el mejor que hemos probado! Visitamos la aurora boreal en Newcastle y estos chicos estaban aquí y por las fotos en línea sabíamos que tendríamos que probarlo. Yo tenía el clásico Mac and Cheese y mi novio tenía Chorizo Mac and Cheese y ninguno de los dos me decepcionó. Grandes porciones y comida fantástica, junto con un gran servicio.
