Visited for a family party. Service was excellent staff and manager couldn't do enough for us. Food was really nice and large portions.

Third time visiting Insieme and it won't be the last. Celebrating my husbands birthday and the meal was absolutely amazing. The surf and turf was the best he had ever had and the Chicken Al Timo was brilliant. As for dessert...... wonderful!!!! If we had had room, we would have had seconds. Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts. We will be back. xx

Staying in Newcastle for two nights and were fortunate to find this restaurant on the first night. Enjoyed the food and the excellent service so much we went back the second night. Will definitely be on our itinerary should we be back at a future date.

Great hidden gem in Newcastle! Tucked in during a rain storm and could not have been happier. Margherita pizza, bruschetta, calamari, lasagne and chicken with prawn stuffing in spicy tomato cream sauce- all wonderful. Added plus - close to train station.

Outstanding. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and similarly the red wine by the glass; neither accolade I give lightly. If you’re wondering where to eat, look no further. I’m certain you will not regret it.

I have just come back to my hotel after an excellent late dinner at Insieme with a group of friends. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by our lovely waiter. He was both attentive and entertaining. The menu was full of delicious food, it was difficult to choose, but we managed. Everyone in the group then received a gorgeous meal. The food was full of flavour and clearly made freshly on premises. I had a gorgeous seafood ravioli and the best tiramisu I have had in a while. Even though we got to the restaurant quite late, we never felt rushed. We would 100% recommend coming here if you are looking for an authentic Italian meal in a relaxed environment with warm, welcoming staff. Thank you!

This has to be the best Italian food I have ever tasted. I highly recommend the Calzone and the Penne Insieme. Very reasonably priced with friendly attentive waiting staff. Lovely decor too

Our second visit here more than lived up to the first. The food is outstanding in both range of choice and quality. We covered all bases with pizza, pasta and steak and all were high-quality, freshly cooked and delicious. The service is the icing on the cake in this place though. So friendly, attentive and good humoured. This is a really wonderful restaurant in the heart of the city.

Professional service, romantic atmosphere, food pizza healthy, staff asking about alergen and gives advice. My partner and daughter choose gluten free. All was perfect highest quality and hygienist.

Never again. Food is delicious but severely overpriced. £14.50 for a pasta dish with barely any prawns and salmon as advertised. None of the asparagus included as stated on the menu. I’m certain the positive reviews detail a completely different restaurant because I will not be retuning again. Split the bill with a friend only to be confronted minutes later by the manager themself, interrupting our conversation to ask how much we paid, implying we didn’t pay the full amount on the bill. Maybe take a few minutes to actually check the total before coming at your customer so directly. Unbelievably appalling and rude. Possibly the worst customer service I’ve experienced in years. I do appreciate the staff member who offered Parmesan on my pasta but other than that, will not recommend.

Had an impromptu evening dinner at Insieme. Hadn’t planned or knew it was there. Services was very good, food also very good, nice wine. Food arrived in good time. Nice atmosphere and layout to the restaurant. Overall price was reasonable compared to similar restaurants.

Delicious gluten free food, with quite a few options on the menu (I absolutely loved the potato skins). They do charge an additional fee if you order gluten free, and I had penne pasta for the carbonara dish (but it tasted great).

Came for a 70th birthday party. Staff were really friendly and great with the kids. Food was delicious and generous servings. Place was clean and well decorated. Would 100% come back!

We visited here a few weeks ago randomly for a family meal. I found the service a bit odd, some of the waiters hover over your table and made it feel uncomfortable. I also found the food overpriced. The pizza was fine but nothing special. Portions of pasta were very small for the cost and we were left thinking we could eat more. Probably wouldn't return as there are far better Italians and pizza restaurants.

An Italian restaurant with authentic fresh and perfectly flavoured food. Salads and Pasta that is tasty, clean (no fuss), well prepared and served with a friendly professional style. All set in a nicely finished decor. Also just around the corner from the main Newcastle train station.

Pizza was overcooked, looked like it was a pre baked base , and steak was meant to be sirloin. Was more like a ribeye with all the fat throughout the steak. the waiter tried to say that's the way sirloin is. As a former chef, this is not true in the slightest ,

My wife and I popped in here looking for somewhere to eat on a Thursday night. Surpassed all of our expectations! I had bruschetta to start which was good and my pizza as a main was out of this world - thin, crispy with a touch of burn to the edging. We got some chips to share which were fantastic - proper homemade the like of which you rarely get now. The chap serving was a really great guy as well. A wonderful find and would highly recommend.

We were in town looking for somewhere a bit special for a family birthday meal and stumbled on Insieme. What a lovely restaurant and pleasant surprise. Staff and food very good and the manager / owner was very welcoming and great company. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town (ps - best garlic bread ever)

Staff were friendly and polite. Nice choice on the menu and portions were excellent . Overall the food was very good and the price was very reasonable considering the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly sat at the table trying to find a fault, after 20 min I gave up. This establishment is fantastic, gaz was extremely welcoming and the service was fast. The star of the show was the classic pizza, I usually don't like rocket, and thought that would be the weak point of my meal, I was wrong, the pizza toppings were perfectly balanced, the tomato sauce was as authentic as you can get, the dough was exceptional and left me wishing for a bigger stomach so I can have another. Absolute bargain at the price. My favourite local Italian is going to have a hard time living up to these guys standard on my next visit.

Amazing experience! The pizza is probably some of the best pizza I've ever had, highly reccomend. The pasta was very nice too (can't remember the name) but came with salmon in a vodka sauce. If I was to be highly critical I would say the Prawns were slightly over cooked and I was disappointed the pasta was not fresh. However, I understand making vast amounts of pasta is very time consuming and completely understand why they don't. The waiter we spoke to, who I assume was the GM or at least head waiter was extremely nice and fun! He gave us some absinthe after my partner revealed Polish. Exceptional service and even better good and hope to return tomorrow!

Unfortunately the food here was tasteless, well apart from the garlic bread with 🌶️. That said the garlic was a bit bitter. Italian food is normally my favourite because it has lots of flavours. This food tasted as though it had no seasoning. The waiting staff were all pleasant and did take 15% off the bill. I would have preferred better food at full price.

Came across this restaurant by accident, will definitely return. First impressions high quality interior, fantastic first impressions of warm welcoming staff, especially the Manager. Can't praise Teigan enough, she was enthusiastic, pleasant, chatty, a real asset to your restaurant. Fantastic food, reasonably priced.

Stopped in on a Monday afternoon the place was quiet but the server or owner maybe was on the ball. Had the 3 course meal for £20 and it was excellent. I had the carbonara and it was probably the best carbonara I've ever had. Would definitely recommend this place. Desert was excellent too had the trifle.

Last day staying in Newcastle, came upon this restaurant. Fabulous food and great offers. Very friendly and spotlessly clean. What more could you want. I would highly recommend.

Delicious food good served and warm atmosphere

Great little restaurant with really friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Everything happened when it should without feeling rushed or neglected, all with a smile. Started with polpette piccante, tender and moist meat with a delicious tomato sauce, accompanied by a very tasty Primitivo. Main course was amazing, porchette on mashed potatoes with an amazing rosemary gravy with a side of fresh vegetables. Meat was melt in the mouth with crispy crackling. Lovely chat with head man, very engaging and friendly. May be out of the way of the centre but we’ll worth a visit, I will definitely go again next time I’m in town.

Nice food, gf options, good service.

Nice surroundings, staff were aloof...three men that appeared to be preoccupied by something going on at front of the restaurant. Food was vile...absolutely vile....it tasted sour and when I complained to the rather aloof waiter he mumbled that perhaps not all people enjoy the same dishes....it was clear to me that he wasn't interested in listening to my complaint. I paid begrudgingly and left....never again. Avoid at all costs!!!

Cozy little Italian restaurant. Had pizza and prawns appetizer, we're average.

We went here last Saturday for my birthday, it was or first time but it certainly wont be our last.. the food was amazing and the staff are so friendly and made you comfortable and at ease. We had a bottle of house white and it was one of the nicest I’ve tasted, plus it was really cold, which is always a 10 out of 10 for us.. we all had something different and every meal was delicious.. it’s a little gem and we’re so pleased we found it.. well done everyone. 👍👍

Really good food : bruschetta rustica and a dish of olives with salad. Fish pastas were excellent accompanied by good wine. Friendly service . A great night out!

I was refused by another restaurant close by as I needed to leave within 40 mins for a train. Here at Insieme I was asked what I wanted and told it would be more than enough time to have the food. The food itself was sooooooo nice. The mushroom truffle was soooo gorgeous- very tasty had nothing like it. The hand cut chips were so nice flavour and texture - I really loved them. The chap that served me was friendly kind and considerate. All done in time with me to spare for my train.

The Menu has a good selection of meat, pasta, fish and salad dishes all prepared and presented with style. Enjoy !!

An exceptional place. We booked a table for 9 people as a birthday celebration. One of the party had specific dietary needs. We called ahead and explained the situation as it was a deal breaker as to whether that person could go if they couldn't accommodate. Well what can I say. The manager listened to what we needed and assured us they would be able to help. They went above and beyond and over delivered. Absolutely amazing. Staff are fantastic, food amazing and the manager came over numerous times to make sure everything was ok. 100% would recommend this fantastic place. This was our second visit and will not be our last. Well done and THANK YOU.

What a fantastic cozy little restaurant. We came on Sunday for a table of 4 friends. The food was amazing, I had the mussels starter and sea bass for main with sides of tomato garlic bread. Everything was really fresh and tasty. The service from the bar/waiter was amazing. He kept our drinks constantly topped up without having to get up and order and kept us entertained throughout the meal. Will defo call back when im in Newcastle again!

Second time eating here in the past month, first time was so good we went back with friends. Lovely menu and good food, although my calamari was a little tough on the last visit. The breads were absolutely delicious on each occasion. Service was exceptional both times. Will definitely go back when we're next in Newcastle.

I do really like the food here, the atmosphere is nice and most of the staff are friendly - however, there is one man (I don't know if he's the manager?) Who has been consistently unfriendly every time that I've dined with someone here, which therefore does make me reluctant to revisit.

Insieme has a traditional simple Italian menu. We had a pasta and a calzone. It was one of the best calzones I have had outside of Italy. We also had a tiramisu and a pistachio dessert. The desserts were not freshly made, yet very tasty. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

I'm a bit harsh on service. We did wait a long time to be initially served but from then it was spot on. They seemed to have a very staff being trained so it felt like loads of staff hanging about but I understand it needs to be done. Would go back
