Uno's is absolutely top notch, the food is too notch, the staff are absolutely brilliant, and atmosphere is fantastic, you CANNOT beat Uno's! I came with family for my birthday meal tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed my night!

First time visiting . Went in for meal with friends on a Saturday evening and it was pretty busy. However we were seated quickly and service was excellent . Food was great . Would definitely visit again .

Uno'a is a lovely little restaurant on Newcastle quayside. The food is fab the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is always cosy. We go there quite often and it's always excellent. Food is great quality for the reasonable price and drinks are always reasonable. We tend to get a bottle of wine and a beer and usually spend less than £30 per person.

Visiting Newcastle for the night and wanted a simple place to go for dinner. Seemed nice but this was far from our experience. The selection was basic at best and for what it was quite overpriced (plus service charge which is automatically applied). I'm vegitarian and the options were quite limited to say the least, went for a vegitarian lasagne (DO NOT HAVE THIS) it was bland, tasteless and mushy, and cost the same price as my partner's calsone which was at least thrice the size of my meal and I am told much nicer. The wine was quite cheap and tasted it, I thought it was watered down at first. Although it's in a good area and the staff were nice enough, in a city with so many options for food, I would stay clear of Uno's.

Great food, good portions, prompt service

Wow our food was amazing, to find somewhere to eat where all four of us like food is a hard task but you delivered. We had 3 courses and every bite was delicious good selection of starters, mains and desserts and plenty of drinks to choose from. .

Just went there for cream brûlée and was delicious … Very friendly and welcoming staff

Family meal on a Saturday evening. Greeted politely and shown to our table within minutes. Staff very polite and attentive. Even though busy on a Saturday evening we received our drinks promptly and we didn’t have to wait too long for our starters. Calamari was plenty full and tasty. Black pudding and pork belly was superb and a great portion for a starter with two slices of black pudding and a good portion of pork belly. Recommend both of these. Garlic bread we had half with cheese and half tomato. Again superb. All 4 mains were fantastic and everyone said how tasty their food was and how they were enjoying it. As you can read above we enjoyed our experience at UNO’s and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

The food has really gone down hill, last two times I have been it’s been nothing better than I think you would get in a packet.

Had the pork belly and potato skins followed by a pizza and calzone. Huge portions, should have shared a pizza. Excellent food, highly recommended.

Great food (the best calzone piccante in Newcastle by a Mike), lovely atmosphere, and swift attentive service BUT we were not told in advance about the service charge so got a nasty shock when the bill came! Sorry but I prefer to give generous tips for good service and NOT have my pocket picked by the management. Will not be going back for this reason.

Amazing Italian food, and wide range of varieties available. They also cater for vegetarian and gluten free dietary restrictions. I personally enjoy their thin crust pizza.

We have been going to Uno's for many years, it's our traditional stop before any home game at St James' Park. The menu is fantastic and caters for everyone and the food itself is fantastic. The service from the moment you walk in is top notch and everyone is very well looked after, I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Superb

The secretive was great everyone was friendly, but the food was full of oil and was greasy and soggy and the spaghetti and meatballs made my girlfriend throw up everything not too soon after. I’m wondering if it was the shellfish that was cooked in my own pasta Di mare, I only ate a quarter of mine after finding it a bit too fishy, something felt off and my girlfriend tried a muscle that was in my meal and I think that might’ve been the key to it. I think you might want to check up on the stock you are gaining in and also put less seasoning and oil on the food, remember less is better.

This is such a lovely little restaurant with such a welcoming team of staff. They were very attentive and made additions to my pizza with ease. The cocktail was also very nice. It is very reasonably priced considering the great quality of the food which made me and my girlfriend’s experience even better

My friend and I make an annual trip up to Newcastle and for the past three years have eaten at UNO's as our first choice. Very disappointing meal this time. Starters were okay but both Pizzas had a burnt dried up crust. We left the crusts and politely told the waitress why! Manager didn't seem too friendly when we paid and left. Had coffee and a drink elsewhere afterwards.

Visited with my daughter at 20.30 on a Wednesday evening following a race on quayside. It was fairly busy, no spare tables but no queue waiting so we were seated immediately Tables are a little close together no privacy here your very close to table next to you. Service very average - a young Man took order and a girl then brought drinks and just put them on table without speaking or smiling Food arrived fairly quick - no one came to ask if meal was ok or did we want anything else throughout whole meal Food was nice enough and soda actually tasted like soda unlike some places lately. Reasonable prices for food but be aware they add service charge to bill without asking I hate this I always leave a tip but don’t expect it added auto.

Cant go wrong great food and atmosphere and cheap

The food and table service were nice, I would give a 3-5 stars for them. Unfortunately, when we paid the bill at counter, the staff kept joking on us: ‘I already forgot you were still here’, ‘did you come from breakfast?’, ‘we do serve breakfast, you can stay to tomorrow morning’, ‘sorry, we have to add up service fee, because you have stayed over 2 hours’… I tried to change topic, and asked if they do student discount. The guy was like: ‘do I look like a student? I’m not a student’. This is not answering my question, but looks unprofessional and impolite with all the ‘long stay’ jokes. I really got upset, and had never been so embarrassed in any restaurant before. We arrived around 6pm, because it was our first time there, we spent a bit long time on food decisions, we ordered around 6.30, and had 2 drinks for each of us. We paid the bill around 8.30pm. There was no one waiting for tables and we never told that our table was booked by none. It may be out of my innocence, that I never knew people would be judged and played impolite jokes if stay in a restaurant over 2 hours under this kind of situation. Good luck with the jokes, would never come again

Pre-concert dinner for two. Very busy at 5.30pm Saturday. Plenty of attentive staff though. Toilets clean, but very small, cramped cubicles (ladies). Sensibly sized pasta plates (Cannelloni), very enjoyable. Excellent tiramisu; Bailey’s creme brûlée very good, but couldn’t taste Baileys. Lovely atmosphere, but a bit noisy when full. Expensive glasses of wine.

We visit regularly when in Newcastle and have always enjoyed the food, lovely staff too. The chicken kiev pizza is perfect if you're serious garlic lovers like us! The portion sizes are huge

Didn't book but the staff squeezed us in...we had pizzas which were absolutely delicious and our waitress Sophie was brilliant, extremely friendly and helpful with her recommendations, will definitely go back 🙂

Girls weekend in Newcastle. Unos fitted us in last minute, on what was a busy Saturday night. Beautiful cocktails, and pizza. So welcoming, staff, food, atmosphere all really good. Definitely recommend

Lovely meal again before theatre show round the corner. Great service and I can confirm that the Tiramisu is definitely home made, as I’m allergic to carrageenan / E407 which is a UPF emulsifier put in industrially produced tiramisu and it definitely was not in this.

Lovely serving staff. Popped in for lunch expecting a quick bite and something cheap and cheerful. Food was excellent, I'd have expected to pay much more and all the staff were great.

Absolutely terrible. This used to be a great place but not anymore. Garlic bread swimming in butter, tasteless carbonara and burnt crust pizza. You would think the manager doesn't like making money with his miserable face and horrible attitude. Definitely won't be back.

Staff very friendly Food was awful Prawn cocktail consisted of cheap defrosted tiny prawns in watery sauce on a couple of salad leaves tasteless Carbonara was nearly inedible and made from salty ham hock not pancetta Salad coated in loads of olive oil and it was disgusting My friend couldn’t eat her prawns and left her main course Whoever runs this restaurant needs to check the quality of the dishes being served I was very unhappy with the food

Came here yesterday for a family lunch on a visit to see my daughter,the food was amazing really tasty and hot,we had the 2 courses for £12.95. It was really good value for money,all staff were friendly and helpful our go to place on future visits!

We come all of the time, the food is perfect every time we come, the staff and service are always great and the price is very reasonable. Best value for money place on the quayside.

Great food, friendly service, but the place was a bit dirty (there was food under our table and we all stepped in it) and very loud (we couldn't have a conversation)...

Never misses. Top spot to go for Italian food in town, I’d say best value for quality there is. Table settings can but a bit small but the food quality & taste vastly make for it. The waiting staff are always absolutely lush too, couldn’t be more helpful. If you’re on quayside it’s a 10/10 recommend.

Excellent place we enjoyed it so much we returned the next night husband said it was one of the best pastas he had eaten the service is quick the food is hot the staff are friendly however a service charge is added into the bill we usually like to pay separate so we knwk the staff actually get it

Mrs D thought the soup of the day was amazing. Unfortunately the Sunday lunches just weren't up to scratch. One soggy roast potato each and not much veg - other than stacks of peas. Mash was sloppy. Perhaps a gravy boat may be better if the food is going to be so runny? Still, it was edible, the meat was nice. Staff were friendly and service good.

So, where to begin, I have been coming to this wonderful place weekly for the past 7 Months (business), I have to say that if you’re looking for a warm and welcoming atmosphere with professional and friendly staff then you must try Unos, the menu is varied and consistently of a high calibre but not excessive in price, whilst there are many varied restaurants on the quays to try I would strongly recommend a visit here.

Amazing. This was my first visit to the restaurant it was conveniently located on the quayside (where my family member was staying) Lots of choice on the menu & especially gluten free - the friendly waiter was clued up & mentioned an ingredient in a dish that was GF Our glasses were never empty they were topped up for us 🍾😁 I will deffo be back & bring other family aswell.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful restaurant - food absolutely cooped to perfection and perfect timing. My only fault was that they weren't willing to alternate pizza toppings for another but that's okay because I just got an alternative pizza and absolutely adored it. Syaff are more than friendly and accommodating, the place is very clean itself, all food cooked to perfection, amazing menu and reasonably priced . Cannot wait to return already couldn't, recommend this restaurant enough!

Great little trattoria. Very busy, good atmosphere. Excellent service and fantastic food. One of our table has a serious food allergy and they were very attentive, making sure to explain what he could have from the menu and checking again when serving food.

We visit Uno’s regularly as it’s our favourite Italian restaurant in Newcastle. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service is prompt. We love the cocktails and pizzas. This is a good value restaurant and it’s worth booking as it gets very busy, particularly Friday and Saturday.

Amazing service, all the staff were very friendly. Almost every table was full throughout the night and yet food was always so quick. Potato skins were good, some more fluffy than others. Pizza and carbonara were great

Went for lunch with my husband the service was excellent and the food even better we had lasagna and the calzone absolutely delicious if I lived local I would visit every week One off the best Italian meals we have had well done

Slow service from start to finish while sitting under a red light on a very low seat...please sort that corner out (terrible) We ordered 2x pizza 2x chips. Took 10mins waiting on chips after pizza had come. Chips were too hot to eat...they were cooked in old oil and burnt. Didn't taste nice at all! Half side of one pizza was burnt. The food has massively dropped last time I visited 😔

First time visit. Late afternoon, so initially quiet, but soon started filling up. Excellent food and service, atmosphere was building for the evening as I left. Will definitely return, and recommend to friends.

Fantastic menu, with enough to choose from that everyone's happy, and brilliant specials on the board, lovely serving staff including Sophie who I've seen a couple of times.
