Small pasta place tucked away at the far end on Newcastle station platform. Excellent food & great service, the owners were closing and stayed open for us.

This place is a little gem. Whether pasta, panini or pizza, they never disappoint!! Great service and I wish I’d found this place sooner . It’s now my go to place when passing through Newcastle station. The coffee is tops as well! Bloody fantastic!

This place is a hidden gem at Newcastle station. I had wanted to go for awhile based on how good it smells whenever I walked by it in the station and I went finally, I and got the chicken pesto panini. Really good Italian bread and pesto, and the service and price was great.

I go out of my way to get food from here. It is incredible, tasty, very authentic and delicious. I try to eat gluten free and this is the only place I've ever found to indulge my love of Italian that doesn't taste like cardboard and cost an arm and a leg. My only criticism is the take away fork - some cruel torture to try to eat this amazing food with one of them. They're not up to the job.

Popped in for a pasta dish before getting a train. Service was quick and the pasta hot and tasty. Generous serving for the price! Very good.

Great little place and makes a change from the usual station fast food. Had pasta with meatballs and it was ready in a few minutes. Pasta was hot and tasty and they have a few seats inside to keep you out of the cold. Served in a cardboard box - handy for a takeaway for the train if you're in a hurry.

Best pizza I've ever eaten! Wow!

Really good hot pasta for a train picnic! I was half an hour early for my train and there was no queue, the pasta was ready within a few minutes. Good sized portion, really tasty bacon chilli and garlic (the garlic force was strong though so maybe eat that one before boarding!), and the service was fast and friendly. Recommend.

There was no parmesan on either of the pasta dishes. The spicy sausage pasta tasted like watered down puree with loads of chilli seeds thrown in and no salt or pepper. It was flavourless and bitty. Even the sausage in the dishes tasked like unseasoned flavourless meat. We threw out the pasta dishes and were left with a 10 inch pizza to share between us. Total disappointment

Amazing, can't believe I didn't know about this place! Good restaurant quality food done fast enough to make your train. Pizza & pasta both so good. Will be going before every train journey.

Excellent pasta! Have had a few dishes from here now, all have been amazing- the carbonara is my favourite! Will definitely be back when travelling to Newcastle. Super friendly staff as well. Highly recommend.

I had a panini from here as I whizzed through the station- what a mistake. Barely anything inside the panini, it was microwaved to heat it up. Sad example of a panini. Can’t comment on the other food but steer clear of the sandwiches.

Fantastic establishment with the most delightful pasta you'll find anywhere. Staff are friendly and cheerful. Portions are large and never leave you hungry. The pizza is perhaps some of the best pizza you will ever have. Likely, as all ingredients are fresh.

I have only one complaint and that is why there isn't banners letting everyone know about this establishment. I have never had such lovely pasta, I was able to design my own pasta and it was cooked to perfection ~ The servings were generous and was hot throughout. I would come to the station again just for the pasta.

So you arrive at Newcastle Station, you're waiting for your train, you're hungry. Where to go? Yes, you can opt for the usual meal deals from the local retailers or pay the exhorrborant prices on board. Instead, I would recommend wandering down to Platform 12. Here you will find the pasta station, a quaint traditional Italian kitchen. With seating inside and outside, platformside. The business serves a variety of pizza, pasta, paninis,and, of course, coffee. I went for pasta with bacon, garlic and chilli. The food arrived in less than five minutes. Excellent if you are in a rush. I have had similar dishes previously at other restaurants and found that some are missing flavour (lack of chilli, garlic, or bacon). NOT HERE IT WAS AMAZING. Loads of bacon, strong garlic, and lots of heat from chilli. Perfect. I left a full and happy man. Staff will treat you well with a friendly welcome. 5 stars. Give it a go.

I have been frequenting at this hidden gem for quite some time now and two things keep bringing me back: the food and the people. Let’s start with the food, I’ll mention three for statistical significance, in no particular order. The Chicken and Peppers Pizza is very good. The pizza is a harmony of chicken chunks, tangy bell peppers providing a sweet contrast, flavourful tomato sauce, golden melted cheese dusted with Italian herbs, all on a light yet firm crust. The subtle smoky flavour from the oven adds an extra dimension that elevates the pizza. Their Chicken Pesto Pasta is superb. The creamy pesto sauce is full of flavours from basil and Parmesan that coats the pasta nicely. The chunks of tender and well-seasoned chicken and the earthy undertones of the mushrooms complement the pasta beautifully. The entire meal is a delightful journey of flavours and textures. Equally impressive is the Chicken Pesto Salad. It’s a medley of fresh and crisp lettuce generously dressed in a vibrant green pesto that is full of flavour. The croutons together with pieces of perfectly cooked and tender chicken adorned with just the right amount of parmesan is a culinary delight. It’s one of the best salads I've ever had. In addition to the exceptional food, this place truly shines thanks to the wonderful people who run it. The team is attentive and courteous, striking the perfect balance between professional and personal. They are always ready with menu recommendations, accommodating dietary needs, or simply sharing a friendly conversation. Overall, for anyone passing through, don’t miss out on this place. Your taste buds will thank you.

For a place with "Pasta" in the name, the pasta is surprisingly average. On par with a Tesco ready meal. Tiny portion, squishy penne and tasteless sauce. I might have chosen badly. The reviews with pizza look pretty good. I might try their pizza in future and update this review.

What a lovely surprise that was. Heading towards the toilets, I noticed the signage for Pasta Station and decided instantly I'd have a nosey on the way back. Popped in and got a Pepperoni pizza for my next train North, which I could takeaway for too. Just enough time from ordering to pop into the excellent beer shop next door and get some train beers while your pizza cooks. So I'm told... Very glad I popped in, and would reccomend to anyone. Lovely staff, fantastic pizza for a reasonable price (£8.49) and they even sprinkled some chilli flakes on it for me when I asked if there was anything spicy. Very highly reccomended and will definitely be back!

I was here last Friday and the staff took such good care of my daughter and I when we got off the train.Thank you! The pasta was also cooked to perfection and delicious.

Big portions, fast and delicious food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best place to eat inside of central station. Containers are slightly awkward to eat out of but that can’t go against the quality of the place. Nice coffee too

I was a bit early for my train and starving hungry. Asking the station staff for a recommendation I was told of this place. What a find... It was just lovely. They also do pizza and it's geared up for people who are hurrying through. So anything that's needed is all cooked up under 10 minutes. There's seats outside the shop to sit on and even if it's pouring with rain, you're under the roof of the station and won't get wet. Good food, hot, reasonable prices and I liked it. It's right next door to Sainsbury's Local on platform 12. You won't need a ticket to go in and order though! I'm told LNER staff get discount too???

Brilliant hot food to take onto train. Train catering is so awful it’s lovely to have good hot wholesome food. Not too expensive either. I urge you all to use it and maybe we’ll get one in every train station

The food is fresh fast and tasty as hell. It's worth getting something tasty while waiting for the train or your taxi out of the station. Quick fresh pizza or some great pasta or panini. Oh my! I’ve been using central station 2/3 times per week for a few months now & spotted (I should say smelt) someone tucking into hot fresh pasta. They directed me to The Pasta Station. It’s before you need a ticket a couple along from the 2 little supermarkets. I picked one of the fresh pastas & it was made for me in a few minutes. As I chose a garlic & chilli option they even asked how I liked it & made it to my taste. I took it home & there was no spillage plus it was still hot. I think this will be a weekly treat for me. Thanks from a very happy customer 😊

Freshest pasta I've ever had! Very good food at an affordable price

In a bid to thaw out from the inside I decided to give the Pasta Station a go. A small but perfectly formed outlet with a breakfast bar eat in should you choose. I opted for the make your own meal choosing ham, chicken, and Tuna, with a white sauce to adorn my pasta. I was presented with a neat takeaway cardboard box, serviette, and wooden fork. I took my food to my platform, the furthest from the shop and enjoyed a very tasty, hot, satisfying, flavoursome meal that warmed the cockles. Wonderful helpful and friendly staff, clean premises, fabulous food, excellent value for money. I will definitely eat at Pasta Station again.

Absolutely miraculous how good they are and how although they may be tucked away slightly they Absolutely excel above the rest

I was waiting for my train south at Newcastle when I could smell the pizza cooking. I bought a superb pizza freshly cooked in a few minutes. Next time I will order the freshly made pasta. Such much better than standard fare from the high street outlets.

Was really disappointed as it was closed when we got there and had been looking forward to having our lunch .No notice on the door and tried to ring got answering machine and left a message but no reply. It was suppose to be open according to the website .

Lovely little take away shop situated within central station (not past the barriers so can grab something with or without a ticket). Really impressed with the gluten free pizza base (pictured). They also offer a wide range of pastas and paninis and offer gluten free pasta too. Friendly and welcoming staff. Will definitely be coming back.

We found ourselves with a hourlong delay in Newcastle station and luckily spotted this great little place. We only had (very good) coffee with complimentary biscuit and an excellent panino, but the pasta looked wonderful. The charming manager told us that he can serve up takeaway pasta or pizza of your choice within minutes and he had a lasagna that was gluten-free. He and his girlfriend have recently started the business. They definitely deserve success.

From design to food this place is definitely worth more than 5 stars. Meals ready within couple of minutes, friendly staff, will come again.

Delicious pizza, great range of unique snacks and drinks, and the staff are really friendly. First visit today, won't be the last, but it'd be good if they had a bigger range of vegetarian pizza options.

I’ve eaten at Pasta station on a couple of occasions recently and the food has been fantastic. Freshly made, hot food which tastes great. The pasta portions are very filling and the pizza’s have a nice thin crispy base! Keep up the good work!

I have tried both the pasta AND the pizza, they are delicious. I will start going all the time. But be aware- it is located IN the station not past the station.
