We celebrated our birthday today at Piazza Italiana in London – together with my twin brother and five other friends – and it was simply fantastic! 🥳 From start to finish, everything was top-notch: The food was delicious, the ambiance beautiful, and the service absolutely outstanding. A special thank you goes to Marco, who made the evening truly special with his warm personality and attentive service. He took great care of us and definitely deserves 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We even received a small gift as a surprise – a truly lovely gesture that rounded off the evening. We'll definitely be back!

What a destination! The ambience. The location. The service - from the doorman all the way to Beatrice - wonderful front of house - to the waiters and kitchen crew, to the music, to the decor, to the FOOD. Oh the wonderful food. We LOVED it. Thank you so much for an unforgettable birthday dinner party. My husband & family were absolutely thrilled. And we’ve been to quite a few Italian restaurants, from fine dining / Michelin star in London to off the beaten track in the corners of Rome. So we came with high expectations. I couldn’t believe the price at the end, for that quality of food, service and entertainment - I’d have expected to pay 2-3x more! Highly recommend this is one of my new fav top spots in London. I loved how attentive and helpful everyone was - they were incredibly professional, polite & pleasant - every single second. And we were a large demanding group! If you’re looking for reliable service, elegant ambience, DELICIOUS authentic Italian food, beautiful live music and EXCEPTIONAL service - this is the place. 5 stars!!

Lunch with clients here yesterday. Delicious food, and brilliant waitress. The quality is fantastic and the pricing is really reasonable. It was pretty busy when we were there, so it can get a little noisy, but the atmosphere adds to the experience :) Try the Gnudi Fritti!

The pasta was delicious but the quality of service was poor. Despite checking our order three times, we still had the wrong pasta dish ( it was really tasty though) We ordered the burrata, asked if we needed bread with it, she said to see how we went as it had some on it, it turned out the garnish was breadcrumbs but we had no chance of catching anyone’s attention to order some bread. I wrote the following day to the restaurant as I am not a trip advisor warrior but they have not bothered to reply which epitomises the attitude to customer service.

A Sunday Lunch Worth Waiting For! No one has ever anticipated a Sunday lunch more than me! I first met Simonetta, the proprietor of Ida, nearly a year ago while swimming. I’d already heard about the restaurant, and when I discovered Simonetta was also a novelist, I pre-ordered her book Ida at My Table right away. During a long recovery, I read it cover to cover—reliving the story of her family and the restaurant in beautifully descriptive prose. I felt as though I’d already met everyone before even stepping foot inside. Not long after the book launch, I attended a reading with my friend Adam where we finally met the real-life characters. Since then, I’d been dreaming of a meal curated by Simonetta and her husband Avi. Life got in the way, and I also wanted to wait until Adam—who was observing Ramadan—could join. So we held off just a little longer. When we finally arrived, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunlight poured through the large windows, filtering through shelves lined with bottles, casting a warm, inviting glow across the room. It felt immediately comforting. Having a proper chat with Avi and seeing Simonetta in her “castle” was a joy in itself. We were treated like royalty—but it’s clear everyone who walks through those doors receives the same heartfelt hospitality. The food exceeded expectations. Everything—from the antipasti to the handmade pasta—was clearly made with love and care. I had the tagliatelle al ragù, but we shared and tasted all the dishes. The food was rich yet wholesome, flavourful, and deeply satisfying. Each dish felt like something made at home by someone who truly cares. Ida’s whole team are exceptional. Yes, I’m biased. But if you’ve read the book, met the family, or simply appreciate a meal made from the heart, you’ll understand. This wasn’t just lunch. It was a story brought to life.
