Debo decir que el personal era extremadamente atento y amable. Todos disfrutamos de la comida. Tenía salmón que estaba fuera de este mundo, ya que el salmón a veces puede estar un poco seco, esto era cualquier cosa menos. Popped in on the off chance that we could grab a table at short notice ( 4 x hours !!) and staff were superb. Found us a table no issue. Food, atmosphere and service were excellent. Good to see a broad spectrum of clientele dining too. Could not fault the sea bass and the lasagna was simply stunning. Very reasonably priced and we were made welcome and not rushed despite it being a Saturday night.

Poor quality food … undercooked linguine and overcooked prawns … my main dish had 4 prawns in total .. for over £26 … I couldn’t eat it .. they took 15% off the bill but in reality I shouldn’t have been charged for this unpleasant dish

El personal y el propietario son todos italianos nativos y muy acogedor. El restaurante es íntimo decorado con fotos familiares. Se sentía como estar en Italia. La comida era auténtica y deliciosa. I had a delicious three course lunch at Demartino today. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The wide choice of dishes on the menu, all of which were tempting, mean that I hope to be back soon to try more. This was a wonderful place to enjoy an afternoon.

Have visited Demartinos numerous times over the years and the food standard is still good I had scallops to start which were cooked very well sweet and soft with a little caramelisation and for main I had the calf’s liver which was also really good my partner had a penne pasta dish which she enjoyed too! All washed down with a reasonably priced chianti. The service was good also, my only criticism would be the decor is looking a bit tired and gone are the white table cloths and plates which in my opinion effects the feel and vibe of the place and the overall dining experience

This is a consistently great local Italian restaurant in Marylebone/Fitzrovia. Family run since forever, David has been in charge for decades but although still much in evidence is now handing over to his son Georgio who has a sure touch and is just as skillful. Really very good traditional Italian food and superb service from a great team. Particularly good at accommodating large parties (with plenty of notice !)

Fue un sábado muy ocupado por la noche y se las arreglaron para apretar en nosotros. La comida era absolutamente fuera de este mundo. He estado en muchos restaurantes italianos en el pasado, pero honestamente puedo decir que esta fue probablemente la mejor comida italiana que he comido y los precios que cobran por estar en Londres son baratos. Habríamos pagado felizmente mucho más por la calidad de la comida y el servicio que recibimos.

I have been going to De Martino's for thirty years. I always go to De Martino's when I am in London. The food is always perfectly prepared. The service is perfect. The atmosphere is intense and warm. London is lucky.

It was such a lovely experience! They were very accommodating towards my grandmother and I, there food was not only delicious but it didn't take forever to arrive and its such a cute restaurant! Very authentic Italian.

The staff is a bit busy but still friendly. However the food is a bit disappointing. I really like italian food but this one is just a bit off… the mashed potato is worse than the one in HK KFC… The pasta is average and the tiramisu is good. Oh and the cocktail is actually better than the food LOL

I regularly book Demartino for client and internal business dinners, and we are always very well taken care of. The food and the service are excellent. We highly recommend!

A little cozy restaurant, good food, nice people.

Such a lovely family-run restaurant. Very homely. Staff are lovely and friendly. So nice. Service was very good. Nice intimate restaurant with a menu of Italian classics. The pasta was one of the best I had! I went with the LINGUINE AGLIO OLIO E PEPERONCINO. Basically, linguine with chillies, anchovies, garlic and extra virgin olive oil. So good. Well presented and freshly made. Divine. Only go for this if you can take spice and a fishy taste from the anchovies. I loved it. Really fiery. Reasonably priced given the area. Clean. Located on Great Portland Street. Highly recommend.

I recently had a delightful meal at Demartino. The cosy, welcoming atmosphere really does make you feel as though you’ve stepped into a charming corner of Italy, right in the middle of London. The staff are wonderfully attentive and friendly, ensuring everything is spot on. The food is simply superb – fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. A particular standout was the Abbracci di Polpo – pan-fried octopus and chorizo served with a garlic and chilli sauce. It’s a delicious and unique combination with just the right amount of spice. But for me, the true highlight was the Crème Brulee – perfectly crisp on top, with a luxuriously creamy custard underneath. Absolutely divine! I’ve been several times now, and it’s always a fantastic experience. If you love proper Italian food in a relaxed, friendly setting, this little gem is a must. I’ll certainly be returning!

Great Italian restaurant with delicious food and lovely service. We went here twice during our week stay in London. Recommend the Lasagna Gnocchi and Milanese . The desserts are also delicious.

This family owned and run neighbourhood Italian remains as good today as it was 15 years ago when I first encountered their quality cooking. My office is across the road so I have been a regular for lunch and, occasionally dinner both solo and with guests. We enjoyed a couple of Peroni beers (£5,25 each) as we perused the menu. Today I took a guest and recommended the chef’s “speciality” of Nodino de Vitello (Char grilled veal chop with rosemary £29.50) for the main course which has always been a favourite especially when accompanied by a simple side salad of sliced tomatoes and red onion (£4.50) with great olive oil and balsamic dressing. The chop was perfectly cooked medium rare as requested and was very tender with a delicious flavour. An absolute winner. To start I had the special of the day, Mussels in a spicy tomato sauce (£14.95). This was also good but being hyper critical the toasted sourdough slices were not hot and the sauce rather bland. However the service was friendly and professional, our table was in a corner so we were able to discuss business issues and the food arrived quickly. Total charges including service (still at 12.5%) were £123.69 representing excellent value. Much recommended.

Excellent lunch venue with friendly staff

It was a late lunch so the joy was an empty space without screaming crowds. But, as I have not been to De Martino for at least five years, i was disappointed to find how much the standards have lowered. Perhaps the change of wonderful white Italian plates into dull coloured ones shows reveals the philosophy. The mixed salad starter was clearly emptied from a plastic packet rather than being freshly sourced. And we are in mid-summer. The grilled salmon was overcooked and seemed pre-heated. There was the mindless balsamic sludge on the plate. Why do restaurants imagine we all love this horrible 'vinegar'? I finished my glass of wine and the waiter whisked it away while my partner was still drinking his. This is rude. Are waiters here not trained? I won't be returning to De Martino. Some down-grading has happened. Arriverderci.

I went there today with a quite big group of colleagues ( 16 people). They restaurant didn't make any fuse with the unreserved visit. The staff was really warm and friendly. The food was delicious and fresh. I will add this place to the list of the restaurants worth visiting again.

Food poisoned after having shell fish risotto. Really regretful experience

We visited Demartino's last year and it left a lasting impression that we had to visit again this year. As expected the food did not disappoint. My daughter's favorite is the Arrabiata and if it wasn't so late I would have ordered the seafood soup. Our Bolivian waiter was very funny and made us feel very welcomed.

Food is incredible. Service is lovely, friendly and attentive staff who always have a smile on their faces. Amazing Rigatoni, Pappardelle Bolognese, Bruschetta, and I love their side of Broccolini and Tomato/Onion salad. Best Aperol Spritz I’ve ever had in my life and amazing wine selection.

My daughter and I had the most delicious meal. We shared the tomahawk steak and it was the tastiest meal we’ve had in London. Lovely staff, wonderful red wine and amazing food! See you next time we’re in London x

Excellent early supper for 4 of us. Really good friendly and helpful service - wine recommendations great. Had 2 starters - calamari, and the salmon/prawn/avocado special. Both very good. Followed with carbonara, linguine with clams x 2, and calf's liver. Also managed 2 puds - affogato and caramel cheesecake. Everything hit the spot perfectly. Absolutely would go again when next in town. Very welcoming, and great food.

An excellent traditional Italian restaurant not far from Oxford Street. Great atmosphere and very popular. It was my first visit but it won't be my last! Really friendly and helpful staff!!

High standard, reasonably priced restaurant! Dining room has a warm and relaxing atmosphere. music is at the right volume. High quality cooked food is served in abundant portions: HUGE whole roasted branzino fish stuffed with lemon wedges, thyme, garlic; BIG appetizer of varied grilled veggies; pappardelle pasta covered in LARGE chunks of meat. Even side dishes of sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes are cooked perfectly. service is organized and focused.

When I come to London I can't help but come and enjoy the well-prepared and well-cooked dishes! I recommend the experience! Oh I forgot the pasta is cooked "al dente"!!!! I recommend drinking the Valpolucella that is on the wine list!

Best italian restaurant i've ever been to. Food came very fast and was very impressive.

Looked for a place close to our hotel. We passed by a few times and noticed the menu and the selection was very good. My husband had the Scaloppine Alla Milanese with Veal and I selected the Pappardelle Ala Bolognese. Both were excellent choices. Staff was attentive and the restaurant had posters of old Italian movies. Might eat there again this week!

Fantastic Italian restaurant. Pasta and Scallops Millanesa really really good. A bit noisy but it's part of the atmosphere. More than remarkable.

We were staying around the corner, looked on TripAdvisor for restaurants nearby and this came up so we booked. We weren’t disappointed. Food was lovely as was the wine. Waiter was efficient and friendly and patiently answered questions from one fussy member of our group. Food was great altho the veal chop wasn’t quite as well done as I’d ordered but it was so big I managed to have plenty to eat. Only drawback was the noise from the table next to us. Feral children (age 3, maybe 4 and still up at 9.00pm so maybe tired also) and disinterested parents led to several meltdowns. That wasn’t the restaurant’s fault and these patrons seemed to be frequent customers by the interactions between them and the staff.

We are here the night before the marathon! I needed carbs and it didn’t disappoint! It was really busy we were seated downstairs it was extremely busy and loud, that was my only complaint , too many people squeezed in. The food and service though was amazing, our waiter was looking after all the tables downstairs and was run off his feet. He still however remained professional, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious we enjoyed pasta and risotto and a goats cheese starter. I will definately return when in London when less busy with runners!!

Perhaps we just had bad luck during a marathon week but both pasta and risotto was moderate, canteen quality. Risotto had no white wine in it. It was ok, but far below our expectations. The stuff was very friendly and helpful.

This is the best spot for food! The calamari was cooked to perfection and all the staff were so kind and friendly. Truly a brilliant atmosphere. This is my 3rd time coming here and again the chicken milanese was just amazing! Prices are fair and service as well as food are great! 👍 THANK YOU!

Georgio, Claudio, Diego and the team were brilliant at providing a private dining space and lovely atmosphere with excellent service and delicious food throughout the night. Couldn't recommend more. Was just looking for a quick bite nearby, when I passed by this unpretentious Italian restaurant. The lively atmosphere and tempting menu led me to give it a try: - friendly, attentive staff - everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked tempting - the two dishes I went for lived up to the high hopes: fresh chargrilled squid with red chillies, followed by Ricotta ravioli in a butter and sage sauce - very tasty! - crowd: from father & son, to group of colleagues, to family with children, to friends having a good time - everyone feels welcome here - The desserts looked amazing too... I wish I had had space for it!
