An absolute Mayfair staple, been coming here for years. I defy anyone to find me food this good, so reasonably priced, anywhere in the west end. Is it haute cuisine, no, but it’s decent food, generously portioned, at good prices, right in the heart of Mayfair. Recommended

Didn't know about rules if there is any. Had my sandwich, left my place clean and was looking for bin. Guy said you can use MY bin this time. Rude.

This is what a £10 lasagna looks like... Tasted as good as it looks. Annoying to spend so much and also have to go elsewhere to grab something edible. As well as this, while we were sat downstairs near the kitchen we overheard a woman screaming at a poor lady named Maria, pretty sure all the other customers heard it too as the room was noticeably quiet aside from the shouting. I was going to bring up the issue with my food however when the plates came to be collected the man was on the phone as he picked up the plates and didn't check in with us. Which is grossly unprofessional, I wouldn't recommend this place or at least none of the pasta dishes.

Great little shop with a very kind owner. Went in with my little one and had a coffee and lasagna and it was delicious! We sat and enjoyed our meal and went back two times more during our trip. It was really nice id highly recommend stopping in!

As many have said, the service is not exactly overflowing. That said, the food is great and very cheap considering where it is. A similar Spag Bol (of lees quality and certainly less quantity) would be 3x the price at places within 200m. A shame there’s no alcohol licence as a large chianti would have been perfect. Quirky, basic but definitely a hit.

I was recommended this place by some colleagues and it didn't disappoint. I had a parma ham and cheese melt which was freshly made. There was so much to close from, I will have to go back to try something else! It's a small place but there's seating outside and the street is nice and quiet.

Carbonara was absolutely disgusting. Can't even be sure it was made that week! They also do not check in with you about how you are finding the meal. Understand how busy it is but it could at least be mentioned when you are paying. However, I'm giving two stars because Piccolo has large portions and is very affordable considering the location. The sandwiches also seem to be decent as I heard no complaints from those I was dining with!

Ok so we've just battled Covid and all the staff handle the food with the same fingers as they handle all that money which is blitz with God knows how many different peoples bacteria and Covid, really?! Well over priced inflation or not, I got charged £8 for cheese and salami baguette with a can of drink, you can get a lovely baguette full of glorious fillings in Prett for only £4 and I'm sure the food standard agency require they wear gloves there as standard hygiene..

Went there today. One of the staff was very rude and disrespectful. The lady was alright but the guy was abusive and kept making jokes while I was trying to place my order and he swore to me in his own language which I could understand. The food was good tho. Service 1/10 Food 8/10

Sandwiches taste fine, I quite enjoy them but they could do better with enforcing hygiene standards. The employee today took their gloves off to flip my sandwich in the toaster, which is fine, I was a barista, I know it happens, nothing to get worked up over. Then they started counting the cash in the register to net the till for the day and without washing their hands was about to bag my sandwich. I stopped them and asked them to wash their hands before doing so, which they did, but still, I was very disturbed that that didn’t come second nature to someone in food service. Better training procedures are in place. Food hits the spot though, but hygiene is more important.

Quality sandwich and a decent coffee at a good price. Staff were charming and I would recommend if you are in Mayfair 👍

Nice place to have a quick meal. I ordered carbonara and it was not bad. The price is really reasonable compare to other food places in London. Around lunch time the place gets really busy so I recommend to avoid lunch time. It seems nice place to have a take away meal as well.

So glad I found this place! Really good food, excellent prices. Meals served piping hot, and the portions are generous. We arrived mid afternoon and the regulars kept dropping in. Can't recommend this little hole-in-the-wall enough. Wish there were six stars.

Llegamos a este sitio de casualidad buscando donde comer rápido para seguir “turisteando” y la verdad es que fue una suerte encontrarlo. El personal es encantador, súper amables y agradables. La comida, pasta en nuestro caso, muy rica y abundante. Y el precio es ajustado. El local es pequeño, abajo tiene un comedor también pequeño y sin personalidad, pero que cumple su cometido. Se veía mucha gente local entrando a comprar y que conocía a los dueños con lo que parece ser un sitio bastante popular en la zona. Lo recomendamos al 100% para comer comida decente pero sin florituras.

This is one of the best café in the neighborhood. The owner are really nice, services are excellent: you don’t have to follow the manual. Just tell them what you would like to have and they will customize for you! And the prices are also very affordable as well. P.s.: if you are a student, they will offer you a student discount. I used to grab lunch here everyday and never had a problem (would be great if they’d use gloves rather than bare hands to handle food). However today I was well over charged for a chicken escalope and some greens (no fries, no rice). Even the girl that served me was surprised and didn’t agree with the made up price that the other lady told her. Won’t go back.

A man behind the counter called my partner "beautiful" "baby" and "darling" while demanding she take her face mask off when she's a vulnerable individual so he could 'see her face'. When she refused and stated it was her personal choice, he made a thinly veiled r*pe joke by saying that 'oh yes, when a woman says 'no' everyone must listen to her and do as she asks'. She felt very intimidated and disgusted. Horrible behaviour, one of many men who thinks they can speak to women when they're on their own in whatever manner they want.

The hygiene rating is a nightmare the sandwich maker that prepared my bacon sandwich had no gloves on and the worst came worst he was picking his nose. Overpriced for the value Very bad customer service

Great prices. Great Coffee. Great fries. The people were extremely friendly; after coming for the second day consecutively he knew my regular order and just let me pay when I wanted. It was one of the highlights of my trips to London, and will definitely be back if in the area again! (1 latte with sugar, 1 hot chocolate and 2 fries😉)

Proper builders breakfast type of place you get here. The cafe is well run and is pace at getting their food cooked. Pricing is very very affordable for Mayfair and is mobbed by all the cabbies during lunch. Have yet to venture downstairs for a sit-down meal. I always get breakfast number 1 which is just a standard and simple english brekkie with extra sausage - it comes with a decent portion size. Only compliant is their lasagne sizing could be larger, but overall for its location a very decent cafe to go to.

Sandwich Bar and so much more! Number 18 on the board. Cranberry bacon and Brie is excellent. Can say it’s on the high side of costs but anywhere is Mayfair you will be charged £££

Highly recommend. Needed something quick and was a surprised at how good this place was. Not going to lie. I went in with low expectations. However, I would definitely return! I would give higher than 5 stars if I could. This place should be michelin rated. This place is good old fashioned comfort food. The food tastes so fresh and clean. I was told this is where all the locals eat and I know why. This place is a hidden gem! You will not be disappointed. This is what all other food estblishments should aspire to become.

No nonsense, sandwich bar perfection. Best breakfast in Mayfair! We stayed at a hotel around the corner and visited just about every day of our holiday. Don't know what we would have done without Piccolo's!

Popped in to order breakfast for the team, lots of Piccolo staff were serving the front, a couple of lads had already ordered, it wasn't busy, but they just left me there waiting.....waiting, no acknolwledgment, no good morning, no eye contact, another man came about 5 mins later and they eventually served him.....and just left me waiting again...... two of them made his cup of tea and the other one pretended I wasn't there.......wait maybe I have become invisible?

But this was fabulous little find. One of the one places who make food prep an art form and a joy to watch whilst waiting. You will wait and the shop is narrow. Just embrace it. You can sit downstairs too and there are a couple of stools upstairs. It was great value and the food was made from scratch with a real passion and efficiency. I had the chicken melt with roast veg. Mmmmm. Coffee was good too, and all was keenly priced. Reassuringly busy at lunch.

Do you want experience a work lunch in Italy? This is the place to be! This place seems a proper Italian Bar with the best combination of ingredients for a Panino! The portions are more than you expected and the taste is sooo good.. Definitely will come back!

Place is very worthy visit for economy class tourist. Especially for quick lunch. Prices are also very good.

Had breakfast and followed up with stopping by for a takeaway dinner. Fortunately we got to breakfast before all the local tradesmen arrived at 9:30. When we left they were lined up out the door! Very small with tables down stairs. Order at the counter, go down to get a table, they bring down your order and pay when you leave. We both had a ham and cheese omelette which was delicious and filling. Coffee was excellent. We wanted to eat dinner in so stopped by later and got 2 orders of spaghetti and meatballs- delicious but we should have only ordered one as the serving was huge. But leftovers are ok too! What a find - not much on the outside but when all the locals are lined up you know it has to be good and a great value.

We were attracted by the all day English options on the window so decided to wait in the rain. When we got inside we were blown away by all the options and how cheap it all way! I ordered the curry on a jacket potato which cost me £3.80!! Absolutely insane deals, especially as I got such a huge meal. Got a very tasty samosa to go with it which cost me £1.20. We headed downstairs and awaited our food which was not a long wait at all. Love the efficiency of this place :)

Bumped into this cafe by pure accident and what a find. Not the 'most' friendly staff, but helpful. Perfect brunch to take to Radio 2 fest in Hyde Park and so much cheaper than the breakfast in the hotel we stay in every year. Will definitely return !

Acostumbradas a comer en franquicias de comida basura y caminando en busca de otra, dimos de casualidad con este lugar. Relación calidad-precio increíble, y lo que más nos gustó fue la cantidad de comida que sirven. El trato fue también excepcional. Si volvemos a Londres no dudaremos en hacerles otra visita.

Nice little cafe down off the main streets, seating downstairs but quite small and basic but clean and the food is very good for the price.

Après une longue journée qui s'est terminée en vadrouillant dans le grand Westminster et ses magasins hors de prix, rien n'aurait pu mieux tomber que ce petit restaurant/fast-food/plats maison Une ambiance de resto italien new yorkais avec les chauffeurs de taxi qui viennent prendre leur café et dont on entend les conversations plutôt drôles (café qui est apparemment excellent selon les autres avis mais que nous n'avons pas goûté) Les pâtes sont aussi excellentes, très riches en saveur et les lasagnes sont tout simplement divines... Tout cela pour un prix très honnête de 7£ pour une assiette de pâtes généreuse (version small en plus) si vous êtes dans Westminster et que vous ne voulez pas aller dans un 3 étoiles faute de budget, vous savez où aller très bon spot pour les couples également, une ambiance très sympa

Found this great place when being hungry and in desperate search for something nice, filling and not too pricy. This place is quiet busy, but you barely notice because they are super fast. The panini are authentic Italian with very good ingredients (the parma ham was real one) If you are sitting down, don't forget to get a real Italian espresso All in all: loved it!

Genau das was man morgens braucht. Gutes English Breakfast und auch fantastischer Kaffee. Schön bodenständig und super günstig für London. Hier essen die Locals, neben uns saß direkt die Polizei und hatte die erste Besprechung des Tages :-) Hier würde ich jederzeit wieder hinkommen

Este bar tiene un buen desayuno inglés, pizzas y lo mejor: paninis con carne, pechuga de pollo, mozzarella, vieiras y otros ingredientes deliciosos. ¡Y sólo por 5! El personal es realmente agradable y este es el lugar donde van todos los lugareños.

Haven’t tried all the dishes but English breakfast is almost perfect the portions are big for the price and include toast and tea or coffee. The sausage ain’t bad and chips are prefect. Everything seems to be freshly cooked to order. At peak times may be a bit crowded

Cheap, fast, and yummy. Open when you NEED it, since most food in Mayfair is closed at odd hours.

Frequented by most taxi drivers in the Westminster area, great food, small dining area down stairs but open from 0600=2300.

An Anglo-Italo-Portuguese greasy spoon which is stuffed with taxi drivers at all hours. Taxi drivers know their greasy spoons so that is quite a recommendation.

On the recommendation of the doorman at a nearby hotel that I was staying at I had breakfast here a couple of times.

We came across this little cafe on a day trip to London. No frills fantastic food. Great portions good value will definitely be back when next in London.

Eventually got around to trying breakfast here as always frequented by black cabbies which is always a good sign. Breakfast option 3 is cheese omelette tomatoes beans and hash browns for £5 with a mug of tea for extra £1.10. Arrived quickly and hot but most importantly tasty and omelette had plenty of cheese. I will be back again.....also they have cakes they make themselves sometimes well worth checking out as are the large Bakewell tarts (bought in)

Si eres fanático de la auténtica comida italiana, Piccolo Bar es un buen lugar para una comida. Una vez que estuve adentro, sentí que estaba en Nueva York, no en Londres. El lugar es un poco pequeño pero tiene asientos estilo banco en el piso principal y mesas en la planta baja. El asiento de abajo está justo al lado de la cocina. Es un lugar realmente acogedor pero un gran lugar para hablar con la gente en otras mesas, algo que siempre aprecio.

It was an ok breakfast. Very very busy. There is a little sitting down stairs, about 6 or 7 tables for 4, but you need to order at the counter first.

Amazing find in London. 5 quid for several types of breakfast. The breakfast is simple and you eat downstairs. It was a working man's place with local construction workers ordering food. It was one of those places you wish you would have found on day one of your visit.
