Piazza Italiana in City of London, Westminster

Had a family meal here in January, we booked the private dining area for our celebration and we had a fabulous time. Food was amazing, service was excellent and would definitely recommend to others.

We had a lovely experience at Piazza Italiana, it was the perfect venue for a belated Christmas and New Year catch up with my good friend. The venue was nicely very quiet, surprisingly so for a Saturday lunchtime. Only a handful of other tables were occupied during our time in the restaurant. As we went in traditional Italian music was playing and later moved on to a good selection of more upbeat, popular contemporary tracks. Our waitress was very attentive during the whole meal and was knowledgeable about the dishes on the Bottomless Italian Brunch menu. For £35 you can enjoy an hour and a half of bottomless pizza and pasta, alongside a starter and the dessert of the day. For £59 you can include bottomless Aperol Spritz, Prosecco and Bellinis as well, which works out better value if you are having two or more of these drinks. My friend had a Winter Berry Negroni to drink, which we were impressed had the restaurant’s logo shaped into the giant ice cube inside. The truffle and mozzarella arancini were very nice for my starter, as were the pasta dishes and pizza for our main course, with a good selection of dishes on the menu. My friend tried the vanilla cheesecake with cranberry sauce for dessert which looked very nice and well presented. The only ways in which this menu could be improved would be to have a slightly larger portion of pasta and speed up the time taken between ordering and when you receive the food, as you are on a time limit of 1.5 hours. Alternatively the time limit could be increased to two hours which would work well. The only slight downside of our meal was the steep service charge that was added to our bill (£14), though this is to be expected for London. This always frustrates me as I believe that tipping should be left to the diner’s discretion and not expected by the restaurant. I had my half of the service charge removed, though annoyingly the waitress questioned this and asked if her service hadn’t been good. I gave a £3 tip as it would have been mean not to, especially as my friend had paid theirs. The other noteworthy part of this restaurant was the bathroom with rather unique lavatories in them. There were flannels to dry hands with in the bathroom which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you enjoy Italian dining and are looking for somewhere a little posh. The décor of the restaurant was really nice as well, with comfortable armchairs, columns and a high painted ceiling. The restaurant is situated in an impressive Grade II listed building and is the former home of the British Linen Bank. The menu is designed by Sicilian-born culinary maestro Remo Mazzucato.

It is a good place for a group dinner, business, or work, good atmosphere, friendly waiters, agile and close service. The food in general has high quality standards. The price is reasonable, there is a menu from €30 for two courses or €34 for three courses, keep in mind that it is valid from 12 - 15 hrs on weekdays.

My friend and I met up for a chat and quiet dinner. We shared a burrata to start with which was delicious. My friend had salmon and I had sea bass and shared rocket salad and chips. I couldn’t fault the food or the service but although it was an amazing building, it didn’t have much of an atmosphere and it was not cheap.

A really nice Italian restaurant, a lot of attention was put into the food and cocktails. Overall great tasting food, from appetizers to desert. Service by Kibra was also perfect. Will definitely return here in the evenings after work in the future.

We went here upon my recommendation, for a bigger group event. We've been here before and were fairly happy with the service before hence my recommendation, however not sure we will be coming back after this, They gave us a set menu for the group, however a small number of us could not have any of the dishes listed on the small selection of starters or mains on that menu, given our food intolerances. We asked numerous times, to help us out and find an alternative that would be suitable, however we were repeatedly told we have to order only what is on that menu. We have been here numerous times and with big groups of people, and left a rather large sums of money, and to be treated like this and forced to order something your digestive system cannot tolerate is unacceptable. When we asked to remove peppers from one appetiser or beef from the other, we were told that's not possible. However when other people's starters arrived it was clear that the two could have been easily not included and could have easily been swapped with another ingredient. No flexibility and no consideration for the customers' dietary requirements at all. When the mains came, one half of the table was served with certain sides and the other half of the table that had ordered the exact same dishes, did not get these sides. Overall, deeply disappointed in the service and can't say we will be recommending this restaurant after we experienced all of the above.

Food is way too salty esp. the pasta. Good atmosphere but every waiter and waitress seem very passive aggressive. Not sure is because we are Asians or they just don’t care.

Fantastic restaurant. Regularly eaten at Piazza Italiana and is in my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in the city. Food is prepared to the highest standard and is incredibly consistent. They have a lunch menu that changes every week along with seasonal specials. Service is second to none and rivals that of a Michelin starred restaurant. I have ordered pretty much everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal Now all they need is live music! Highly recommend!

Saturday night, Christmas weekend, 7pm. No meat dishes, no carbonara and only 4 of their starters are available. Incredibly poor, the only thing that saved it was the building, very nice restaurant but the menu was terrible. Such a let down. Money wasted on eating food we didn’t want.

Very grand place, very nice service Maybe the food is too authentic that it was not suited to our taste buds. Carbonara is too salty and the cheese coagulated too quickly before we finished the pasta. Lobster linguine was quite yummy but with just little lobster flesh and also bit on the saltier end as well. Lemon and passion fruit mousse was nice and tangy. The herby (lemongrass?) oil was a weird touch. Calamari was by far the yummiest calamari we ever tasted. Was my birthday so had a nice complementary gift- though the almond biscuits were too hard and cold to be enjoyable (waitress did warn me) cocktail was yummy I know people don’t come here for value but there’s better food in London at this price range that I am more willing to get

Piazza Italiana, is an absolute gem! Set in a beautifully restored historic building, the interior is breathtaking—soaring ceilings, elegant chandeliers, and those grand Corinthian columns that just scream sophistication. It’s got that perfect mix of fancy and cozy, whether you’re there for date night, a business lunch, or a special celebration. My friend and I went yesterday and had such a great time. We booked through the First Table app, which gave us an awesome 50% off the food bill—how can you not love that? The wine list is huge, with picks from all over, and we chose a beautiful bottle that paired perfectly with our meal. We kicked things off with the vitello tonnato, which was flavorful and downright delicious, and the tuna tartare—though honestly, it was a bit on the subtle side for our tastes. For mains, we dug into the spaghetti con vongole and the mixed seafood pasta. Both were loaded with super fresh, high-quality seafood and hit the spot perfectly. Naturally, we had to finish with dessert, so we shared a tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet ending. The service? Top-notch. A big shoutout to Kibra, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and just a joy to chat with. Between the gorgeous setting, the amazing food, and the stellar service, it was a meal to remember—and we’re already planning to come back!

Dining at this Italian restaurant is an undeniably luxurious experience. Set in a magnificent historic hall, the interior design boasts soaring arches, intricate ceilings, and opulent detailing that transports you to another era. The ambiance feels grand yet refined, making it a feast for the eyes even before the meal begins. We enjoyed a selection of Baked Oyster, Pasta, and Truffle Risotto. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, offering a flavour profile that was certainly above average. The Truffle Risotto, in particular, stood out with its creamy texture and balanced richness. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless dining experience. However, the grandeur of the space comes with a notable drawback: the acoustics. With no apparent sound-absorbing elements in the decor, the dining room becomes filled with a persistent hum of voices, making it challenging to hold a conversation. By the end of our 90-minute meal, the noise level felt more draining than expected, slightly detracting from an otherwise delightful evening. Overall, this restaurant excels in its culinary offerings and elegant atmosphere, though some improvements in acoustic design would enhance the comfort of diners.

We had a gorgeous time! Took my best friend out for her birthday (or rather she took me? It was a mutual taking) and the food was absolutely amazing, the service was 10/10 (thank you Kibra ❤️) and my friend even got 2 birthday candles on her sorbet!

The space is beautiful and grand (ex bank) but food is just ordinary. Wine is exorbitant with the cheapest red starting at £50. I started with calamari that was good but not extraordinary. Not greasy but not crisp and not particularly tender. I liked the freshness my companion’s starter of a roasted caponata salad but agreed it was served too cold, straight out of the fridge. My main of vongole was somewhat bland. I prefer vongole to be salty with clam broth, acidic with white wine and punchy with plenty of garlic and chillies. I was totally puzzled by the option to have vongole with bottarga for an extra charge. My companion’s truffle risotto was tasty and contained plenty of truffle shavings, but was cold. Plates were not warmed, which was surprising at this price point. What’s worse, the risotto was served in a large shallow dish apparently for optimal loss of heat. The know-it-all waitress explained that the logistics of providing warm plates was too complex. This is a place to bring an elderly relative who wants an opulent interior with unchallenging food, as long as they are not too picky about food temperature. I expect more at this price point. Two courses with the cheapest bottle of wine shared between two diners was just over £70 a head.

Ate earlier this week as a group after visiting a bit more than a year ago. The quality of food has gone down and the desserts were very disappointing as well. Great ambience though.

Came to Piazza Italiana for a birthday celebration and unfortunately had a small medical emergency. The staff were absolutely incredibly - very calm and professional and so helpful. We are so grateful to the whole team, especially Fabio, for being so kind. But more importantly the food is phenomenal and the interior design is gorgeous. A must visit!

Inicios Pan con chapuzones = porciones de punta, chapuzones sosos. Bolas de queso de trufa = enfermiza y sobrealimentada con ajo. Plato principal = Luke Risotto caliente sin sabor, porción pequeña. Plato principal = pasta de marisco, sabor decente pero salsa acuosa. Desierto = panacotta, enfermizo. Servicio bien, aunque gerente un poco apagado. No volvería.

Do not recommend. Cannot imagine how it still get 4.5 on Google reviews. The waiter doesn’t understand what we are asking. We asked if there is truffle on the pasta, he just kept replying us it costs extra for the cheese wheel. But very bad food. Truffle pasta almost £30 without having any truffle on it. £10/g for truffle. Menu said Seafood pasta with “tiger prawn”, but they looks like shrimps.

The best restaurant in and around London I've ever been to. Previously it was a bank, now an elegant restaurant with dishes with attention to the smallest details. Perfect service, almost like a starred restaurant. Unique atmosphere. The prices, all things considered, are more than fair. Trust me, you will have an unforgettable evening.

The only redeeming factor in the experience of the bottomless brunch is the service we received from Elena - she was great. However, this is probably in the top 3 worst restaurants we have had food in. We had 90mins and thought we’d try as much as we could, so had two starters, six mains and dessert between us. The food was basic, tastleness, and akin to something you could get for £5 as a ready meal. As an example, the truffle pasta is overcooked pasta in a buttery/cheesy/truffle oil sauce; nothing else to it and zero flavour. The pizzas are like eating cardboard - obviously they must be frozen pizzas. The dessert - tiramisu - was soggy lady fingers with whipped cream and chocolate dusting on top. Definitely not what a tiramisu is supposed to be. The restaurant is in a beautiful building with beautiful decor, but the atmosphere is completely ruined by having a [very loud] DJ playing dance music. You need to pick a “vibe” - either be a classy restaurant or a typical young persons brunch-style cheap restaurant. You should not have both. We would not be returning or recommending the bottomless brunch option to anyone.

Super amazing food. The sauce in the bread basket was very well made, the tomato sauce and tapenade both made people happy to wipe the small plates clean. The bread was a bit defective, cold and hard on the outside, not friendly to the teeth, but the sauce was so delicious. The Calamari is thinly fried, soft, tender and delicious; the Oyster Rockefeller is also good. The clam pasta was very, very delicious, the clams had a seafood flavor, but in a pleasant way, and the sauce was so fresh that it licked the plate. The ice cream was outstanding, the tiramisu was below average and the 1mm thick cocoa powder was a bit dull.

Visited this Gem this evening. Had a wonderful experience. We were greeted by the friendly manager and served by attentive waitress Kibra The food was just as amazing as the atmosphere. We will definitely come visiting this place again

Piazza Italiana is a beautiful venue with a wonderful atmosphere and service - we were served by Kibra who was fantastic, very attentive and professional! It’s a beautiful date night location (we celebrated our anniversary here) and the food is delicious. Rated the food 4/5 as I thought the vegetarian options could be more creative!
