Dining at Mercato Mayfair, located in the charming old church, is a truly unique experience! The setting is both rustic and chic, with high vaulted ceilings and a lively atmosphere that perfectly complements the range of food on offer. It’s a vibrant food hall with a variety of culinary options from around the world, from freshly made pizzas and pastas to Asian street food and gourmet burgers. There’s something for everyone, and the quality of the food is excellent. The space can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, so be prepared for a bustling, energetic vibe. However, that’s part of its charm – it’s an exciting spot for foodies to gather and enjoy a diverse range of flavors. It’s best to visit during off-peak times if you prefer a quieter experience, but the lively crowd definitely adds to the fun! Mercato Mayfair is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, making it a great spot for lunch, dinner, or even a late-night bite. The prices vary depending on what you order, but overall, it offers fantastic value for the quality of food in such a trendy location. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a place to relax with friends over delicious food, Mercato Mayfair is a must-visit for anyone in the area!

Everyone can enjoy themselves from an aperitif in the cellar (beer bar, wine bar) or on the ground floor from sushi, Mexican, Asian or Italian to coffee/dessert. Mayfair Market is an elegant food hall located in a deconsecrated former church in the heart of Mayfair, London. This unique space combines the majesty of Gothic architecture with a lively and contemporary atmosphere, offering a high-level gastronomic experience. What to expect: • Atmospheric ambience: The stained glass windows, high ceilings and columns create a fascinating contrast with the modern street food stalls and cocktail bars. • Gastronomic offer: Here you can find international dishes, from sushi to tacos, through grilled meat and Italian specialties. • Cocktails and wine: Upstairs there is a well-stocked bar with a selection of craft cocktails and fine wines. Pros and Cons: ✔️ Extraordinary atmosphere and unique location ✔️ Wide variety of quality food and drinks ✔️ Excellent for a special experience, both for informal lunches and elegant dinners ❌ High prices, in line with the Mayfair area ❌ It can be crowded, especially on weekends If you are looking for a refined but informal place to eat well in an unusual context, the Mayfair Market is a recommended stop!

Visiting Mercato Mayfair for the first time was an interesting experience, especially given its unique setting inside a former church. The beautiful, high-ceilinged space, with its soaring arches and stained-glass windows, creates an unexpected backdrop for a bustling food market. The blend of history and modernity gives the place a distinct charm, with rows of food stalls lining the nave and offering a wide range of international street food, from pizza and pasta to burgers and Asian-inspired dishes. However, while the atmosphere is undeniably lively and the location undeniably cool, Mercato Mayfair does have a slightly touristy feel. The market is clearly designed to attract visitors with its vibrant food offerings and picturesque setting, which means it can be a bit crowded, especially on weekends. While the food is certainly tasty, it didn’t quite live up to the high culinary standards of some other renowned London food markets. Many of the dishes are decent, but they aren’t particularly exceptional or unique when compared to what the city’s wider food scene has to offer. Still, the market is a fun spot to grab a bite and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a good option for those looking for a casual meal in a quirky setting, but food connoisseurs may want to venture elsewhere for a more memorable gastronomic experience.

The place was packed, and finding a table was a challenge, so be prepared for crowds if you plan to visit during peak times. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, though, with lots of energy. The food wasn’t anything to write home about—our Ramen noodles, in particular, were just okay and didn't stand out. While we found it interesting and visually appealing, the overall experience wasn’t quite what we expected. There are other spots nearby that might offer a better dining experience. That said, it’s still a beautiful and impressive place to check out, and I’d be open to returning during a less busy time to see if the experience improves.

I loved my experience because I went there on a Sunday lunchtime and there weren't too many people. So we were able to find a table directly + not have to wait too long at the stands to order. I ordered from the Japanese ramen stand, it was obviously a bit expensive - £16 for a medium sized ramen. And I paid £3.75 for a can of coke at another stand. I really liked the decoration. My friends had pizza and it looked super good + much more affordable. Be careful, if you don't eat spicy food, avoid the Thai stand.

Mercato Mayfair is a stunning venue, blending history and modernity in a unique way. The former church, now converted into a vibrant food market, offers a wide variety of cuisines within a breathtaking architectural setting. The stained glass windows and high ceilings create an atmosphere that feels both lively and reverent, making it an undeniably beautiful place to visit. That said, Christian conservatives might find the concept uncomfortable. The transformation of a sacred space into a commercial one can raise questions, particularly for those mindful of the biblical account where Jesus expressed anger at merchants operating within the temple. This tension may make it difficult for some to fully enjoy the experience. For those who can embrace the adaptive reuse of the building, Mercato Mayfair offers a memorable and unique dining experience.

We had a lovely experience at Piazza Italiana, it was the perfect venue for a belated Christmas and New Year catch up with my good friend. The venue was nicely very quiet, surprisingly so for a Saturday lunchtime. Only a handful of other tables were occupied during our time in the restaurant. As we went in traditional Italian music was playing and later moved on to a good selection of more upbeat, popular contemporary tracks. Our waitress was very attentive during the whole meal and was knowledgeable about the dishes on the Bottomless Italian Brunch menu. For £35 you can enjoy an hour and a half of bottomless pizza and pasta, alongside a starter and the dessert of the day. For £59 you can include bottomless Aperol Spritz, Prosecco and Bellinis as well, which works out better value if you are having two or more of these drinks. My friend had a Winter Berry Negroni to drink, which we were impressed had the restaurant’s logo shaped into the giant ice cube inside. The truffle and mozzarella arancini were very nice for my starter, as were the pasta dishes and pizza for our main course, with a good selection of dishes on the menu. My friend tried the vanilla cheesecake with cranberry sauce for dessert which looked very nice and well presented. The only ways in which this menu could be improved would be to have a slightly larger portion of pasta and speed up the time taken between ordering and when you receive the food, as you are on a time limit of 1.5 hours. Alternatively the time limit could be increased to two hours which would work well. The only slight downside of our meal was the steep service charge that was added to our bill (£14), though this is to be expected for London. This always frustrates me as I believe that tipping should be left to the diner’s discretion and not expected by the restaurant. I had my half of the service charge removed, though annoyingly the waitress questioned this and asked if her service hadn’t been good. I gave a £3 tip as it would have been mean not to, especially as my friend had paid theirs. The other noteworthy part of this restaurant was the bathroom with rather unique lavatories in them. There were flannels to dry hands with in the bathroom which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you enjoy Italian dining and are looking for somewhere a little posh. The décor of the restaurant was really nice as well, with comfortable armchairs, columns and a high painted ceiling. The restaurant is situated in an impressive Grade II listed building and is the former home of the British Linen Bank. The menu is designed by Sicilian-born culinary maestro Remo Mazzucato.

Had a really nice lunch here with the family. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The pasta was very well made and the gluten free was some of the best my wife has tried. The artichoke starter was excellent.
