Perfect location, food cooked to perfection everytime

This place has the best pasta and pizza. We came here twice while in London for one week. The staff are amazing. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself

Stayed in a hotel nearby. Someone at the door greeted me and asked me to try the restaurant. The pizza and pasta were delicious.

Super delicious food. Traditional cuisine

I had the spaghetti vongole and it was supposed to be cooked with cherry tomatoes, giving it a red hue. In actuality, it was basically spaghetti sauce dumped over pasta with some of the tiniest clams possible, so no clam flavor, just tomato sauce. The orange chicken was flabby and bland. The house wine was from chile, which can be good but was very acidic. I can’t believe this place has over 4 stars with their high prices!

We started with a shared salumi plate – it was just okay. Only one type of cheese and a basic selection of cured meats. For mains, we had the carbonara and aglio e olio. The carbonara was a huge letdown: made with cream, basic pancetta, and what tasted like the wrong kind of cheese – nothing like an authentic carbonara. Easily a 1/5. The aglio e olio wasn’t much better. Poor-quality pasta that didn’t hold any of the sauce, and the flavor was extremely bland – seriously lacking garlic and depth. Maybe a 2/5 at best. Considering we paid around £70 for very simple dishes that rely on a few good ingredients and solid technique, the execution was shockingly poor. Definitely would not recommend.

Family dinner...our last night in London...and we were delighted with the pizzas, delicious, and especially with the staff's service, very good! We highly recommend it! In a quiet area and close to everything!

The restaurant is super close to Queens water and Bayswater station, 2 minutes walking distance from the lovely kensington park. The waiting staff did a diecent job, honestly. I ordered starter gamberoni alla griglia- grilled king prawns, which was ok. Good value for money. But the pasta.. never had in my life something that bad. I ordered the carbonara with seafood. Ingredients fooled me since I read eggs and thought that finally, I found someone cooking a proper carbonara and not the British version with cooking cream. It was the worst thing ever. It tasted of a really bad quality yolk base and was a bit sour, probably off. As per the seafood.. 1 prawn, 1 clam, and then a big amount of little shrimps and mussels, which were still frozen in the middle. After 2 forks, I put the pasta on the side and asked for the bill. As a suggestion, if a customer returns the food, ask why.. I asked for the bill, paid, and then told the waiter who took away the plate that I did not touch the pasta. Not to get a refund. But I think they need to know. Short story. I am now eating somewhere else, spending extra money

La comida era fabulosa, yo tenía la ensalada Caesar que era sabrosa e ingredientes frescos deliciosos y el otro comensal tenía espaguetis de mortadela y esto también era delicioso los dos disfrutamos mucho de los platos y recomendaría este lugar el camarero era super servicial y amable también una experiencia fantástica

Nos topamos con este encantador restaurante, ya que estábamos alojados en Bayswater en unas breves vacaciones en Londres. El gerente (creo que era) realmente nos hizo bienvenidos y el ambiente era muy italiano. La comida era muy buena y el vino encantador. Muy buena relación calidad-precio. Como mi madre era italiana y sé un poco de comida italiana, puedo decir que me impresionó y la comida era como mi mamá solía hacer! Fuimos allí dos veces en los 3 días que pasamos en Londres y estamos visitando de nuevo en junio - ya he reservado nuestra mesa 👍💕

The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. I wasn’t even that hungry when I arrived, but the pizza was so good that I ended up finishing the whole thing by myself without even realizing it!

Certo! Ecco la traduzione in inglese: --- I am Italian. Eating at this restaurant was a devastating and traumatic experience. I have never eaten food so far from being Italian in my entire life. The pizza wasn't even pizza, it was more like paper with some sauce and mozzarella on it. I ordered a carbonara, but it was absolutely not a carbonara as it was missing key ingredients. Last night, there were three waiters working in the dining room, but I only saw them once every ten years, and I had to get up to fetch salt and oil. At one point, the clean utensils were finished and we had to use the same utensils all night. Two hours passed between the appetizers and the main courses. The price is far too high for what is offered — over £40 per person for two small appetizers and a main course each. Trust an Italian: NEVER eat at this restaurant!!

De los dos menús italianos que navegamos en Queensway, este fue el más atractivo para nosotros, así que fuimos. Recibimos una cálida bienvenida y nos mostraron nuestro asiento. El servicio era genial y la comida estaba bien cocinada y bien presentada. Teníamos gambas para empezar y estaban deliciosos y para principal tenía el polluelo en una salsa de hongos con patatas asadas y mi compañero tenía cordero con un lado de patatas fritas. Todo estaba bien cocinado y muy sabroso y el vino de la casa era bueno. No es un lugar donde te pondrías tus mejores pinzas para ir, pero un gran lugar para una cena informal.

Dan pinnen: Ooh not autorised payment- nee dat gebeurt vaker; wordt echt niet afgeschreven, dus tja nog een keer dat pasje erlangs en voila JA hoor toch wel dubbel afgeschreven, en terugkrijgen .. ho maar.

DO NOT GO HERE! Great food but you're getting RIPPED! Super friendly owner, just pour it blah blah blah. Then pay by card: O not authorized payment - no, that happens more often; is not debited: YES, it is, and get it back.. whoa.

Possibly the worst so called Italian food ever. They sold me an Italian wine. Cabernet and Merlot. But It was from Chile. Cabernet only. Food was interesting. Not Italian. Not fresh. Hardly eatable. When I told the waitor, he got loud. Waved his arms an said I need to understand that they were under pressure and that I should have told them so they can get get me better and more fresh food. Really?? It has been an hour since we left so now I am laughing. But I did not. Stay away.

Posiblemente la peor comida italiana de la historia. Me vendieron un vino italiano. Cabernet y Merlot. Pero era de Chile. Sólo Cabernet. La comida era interesante. No italiano. No fresco. Difícilmente comible. Cuando se lo dije al camarero, se puso fuerte. Agitó sus brazos y dijo que necesito entender que estaban bajo presión y que debería habérselo dicho para que puedan conseguirme mejor y más comida fresca. ¿En serio? Ha pasado una hora desde que nos fuimos así que ahora me río. Pero yo no. No te acerques.

Completely decent meal. Nothing crazy but served quite late, fast and careful service, it does the trick. The portions are sufficient and in line with prices for London. I ate a carbonara with cream, eggs and bacon, tasty but don't expect the real Italian recipe. Negative point: very fatty with the bacon juice clearly left in abundance Positive point: grated parmesan on request directly on the plate by the very friendly waiter :)

As Italians abroad we can recommend this place because the environment is very welcoming, the service is excellent with nice and very attentive waiters, but the main thing is the food is really excellent for not being in Italy. Delicious food, we were very surprised at how good it was... whether it is traditional or not, I won't say anything about that because I'm not Italian. But flavor-wise, it was delicious. Great local Italian restaurant right off Hyde Park. We had heard good things about this restaurant and decided to check it out as it was around the corner from our hotel. The food was excellent. I had the small clam spaghetti chefs recommendation and my wife had the veal. Both meals were excellent and we would recommend. We had a half bottle of the house white and it was good and worthwhile. It was fruity with a nice after. We had the tiramisu and it was a nice finish to the meal. Overall it was a great experience. Well done!

Increíble experiencia desde el momento en que llegamos hasta el momento en que nos fuimos. El personal era muy amable y acogedor y nada era demasiado problema. Vine temprano en el día para reservar una mesa para la noche y la persona que nos recibió ni siquiera tomó mi nombre, ya que dijo que me recordaría por la cara. Unas horas más tarde llegamos a una mesa reservada esperándonos. La comida era excepcional y todos tuvimos 3 platos cada uno. La comida tenía un sabor excepcional y la lasaña casera fue un poco golpeada al igual que el calzone, espaguetis de mariscos especiales y la pizza casera con atún. El Tiramisu casero iba a morir por y lo recomendaría encarecidamente. En general, una experiencia brillante y volveremos encantados en el futuro. Mantener el servicio al cliente excepcional también, ya que nos hicieron sentir muy especiales.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano several times and have always enjoyed their food and service. Though there are several chain Italian restaurants on Queensway, Mamma Mia is more than able to compete with their absolutely excellent food, made by an Italian chef. I especially enjoyed their Veal Funghi and Bruschetta Salmone, and can recommend their seafood pasta as well. Atop all that, their service has been excellent and attentive, and the music the restaurant plays is very good.

Such a lovely, warm place! I felt like being back in Italy but in the middle of London. I will definitely come back here and I recommend it to all those who know the true Italian style and would appreciate a traditional dish.

We ordered lamb and were asked which potatoes we wanted. The potatoes cost extra, which we didn't understand. Ended up with lamb meat that was somewhat blackened and with a lot of fat. The salad was nothing to brag about: lettuce leaves and grated carrot. In terms of taste, the meat was good where it did not taste burnt and the baked potatoes were good. The price we had to pay for the food was far too much compared to what we got.

Klein restaurantje met op zich lekker eten. Italiaanse voorgerechten waren lekker, pizza ook. Pasta niet speciaal. Vriendelijke bediening tot aan het afrekenen. Op de kaart stond dat er 12.5% service charge included was. Ik zag dat niet meteen op de rekening. Er stond wel een bedrag dat bij het totaal werd gerekend. Dus ik vroeg of dat de service charge was. De ober zei “nee nee dat is taxes”. Dus ik wilde digitaal nog fooi geven maar dat wilde hij niet want dan kwam het niet bij hem terecht. Ik had echter geen cash en dat beviel hem helemaal niet dus liep hij mokkend weg. Achteraf stond er op de rekening SC voor het bedrag wat natuurlijk service charge betekent. Hij wilde me er dus inluizen om nog eens extra fooi te betalen.

When we looked at the menu outside, we were waved straight in and a table was immediately ready for us. Food not spectacular, but tasty. Prices too high like in all of London (50 pounds for 2 pasta dishes with beer).
