Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano in City of London, Westminster

Good food but if you are Italian and you have to pay extra for bread you won’t come back. Just a little tip for these non Italian gents running this place.

We had dinner...I would say satisfied beyond the availability of Del (the waiter) we ate well and given the previous experiences I highly recommend it...price within the norm for the area

Food was great :) Went there two days in a row and the waiter knew exactly what order we had and asked us if it could be the same again! Top service. Definitely worth a visit! :)

It's a very traditional up-the-steps family style restaurant. Staff is superb and welcoming, we were there a few times and had free shots before meals by the owner to welcome us, a Pakistanis owner who recomm what we need, lamb rack and the panacotta are to die for ❤️. Carbonara is very cheesey I bet there's blue-cheese too.

We visited this restaurant twice during our 5-day stay in London, and we can say that the tower is the best. Very delicious, tasty food, kind and fast service. If we return to London, we will definitely visit this restaurant. Compared to city prices, the restaurant is a bit more expensive, but the quality is also above standard.

So delish! And the service was fantastic! We had carbonara and lasagna, both so good. They gave us great service, so attentive.

Absolutely wonderful place. The host and staff are very friendly and extremely efficient. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It’s like catching up with old friends. The food is simple but delicious. A great place to come back to again.

Very good quality food, atmosphere and friendly service. We were very happy with the Mamamia pizza and some spaghetti with seafood, clams, prawns, mussels, squid and exquisite sauce.

Awful food. Cheap and nasty garlic bread arrived burnt. Cheap fatty meat, bad cut. No effort 'salad'. Staff banging and crashing glass and cutlery. Overpriced. Strange smell in the place. Said I wasn't happy to staff. Do not eat here.

It's a filthy place. Stay away from the Italian restaurant run by Indians.

Si vous êtes prêt de bayswater ou dans les alentours, je vous conseille très fortement de passer par le restaurant "mamma mia" et sa cuisine italienne qui fera plus d'un heureux. L'accueil et hyper chaleureux, très peu d'attente au moment ou vous commandez et on vous sert. Les plats, que dire, excellent. Vraiment, même moi qui suit déjà aller en Italie, je n'y avais même pas aussi bien manger. Une forte expérience, tellement c'était bon, nous avons mangé le dîner et le lendemain, le déjeuner. A vous désormais de faire vos propres avis !

Tasty, fast and friendly service

God mat og hyggelig personalet, spesielt den eldste mannen som stresset rundt og sjekket at alle hadde det bra. Bestilte 2 pizzaer og lasagnen. Var veldig godt. Det eneste som drar ned i karakter, er støyen fra gaten og at det blir litt trangt. Ikke et sted for romantisk middag.

Me and my girlfriend had a 4 cheese pizza from here and was delicious and felt authentic to say the least. the Staff were friendly and allowed us to sit on a table of 4, near a plug socket to charge our phones, albeit the restaurant was nearly empty. The Staff, were very happy to be serving us but seemed bored with the lack of customers and cleaning could’ve been done in the quiet times. Though this restaurant serves delicious authentic italian food, the bella Italian across the road seemed much busier and is a shame as it is taking this place off the map. After our meal the staff gave us both a shot of apple juice which albeit odd, was a kind gesture.

We ordered 4 pizzas and they were all very good. And there was a good welcome and good service

We ate here and the food was excellent. My wife and I shared a chicken Caesar salad and a pizza. Both were delicious. The service was even better. Our server, Amin, was terrific and the limoncello aperitif was the perfect finish.

Food was great. Ambiance was fine. Waiter appeared to be sick. Could have been a cold. 'Snatched a four star review from what would have been five. Even so, their Response, appreciated. Hand cleaner at the maitre D's desk and a mask for the server at least when delivering the food or a brief, polite explanation if this were an allergy issue would have alleviated these concerns.

Went in on the off-chance as it was the one place with free tables on the afternoon of the Robbie Williams concert in Hyde Park. Unobtrusive but polite service in a nice, relaxing space. The food was delicious - freshly cooked pizza and a veal dish. A really enjoyable meal. It wasn't particularly cheap, but then again, why should it be in that particular part of London. I would highly recommend Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano based on our experience yesterday.

We came here several times on our trip to London and it was great! Pizza, pastas, and salad all outstanding. Nice to have some comfort food when traveling. It's the service though, that makes this restaurant special. They make you feel like a regular, even if you only come in once. There are several other Italian restaurants on the same street, but this is the one. No reservations needed during the week anyway.

Food here are good (at least to me) and the staff are really good. They may be foreigners but they are passionate and well disciplined. Kudos to the qorkers there.

Great dining experience, wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. Lots of choice on menu and a good wine list.

We arrived in London May 31, 2024, stumbled out of the Bayswater tube station, and across the street was Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano. We had a fabulous dinner there, best calamari I have had. Both hubby and I had pasta dishes, both excellent. Awesome tiramisu. Enjoyed it so much that on our last night in London (June 4th), we went back to Mamma Mia. We were treated very well by the very nice owner, it was like being invited home. We ordered a wonderful salad and pizza, and of course the calamari. I highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and excellent service. Thanks!!

When we tasted pizza in Italy, we were looking for the same taste in every country we went to but could not find it, the three cheese pizza we ate here was great, the team is not Italian but they are very well-intentioned and wonderful people, we celebrated my birthday with their wonderful tiramisu,

Great food, well priced especially for the area. Very friendly staff and welcoming place. Loved the service and food. No complaints at all! Would recommend for a walk in restaurant, family owned and operated is a bonus in this area.

We ordered a dinner from here for an Uber Eats delivery on our last night of a London vacation, very tired and not willing to walk anywhere to dine in. I had the Scaloppine Al Marsala (16.99) and my husband had the Spaghetti Bolognese (12.50), as well as a side of garlic bread (4.99) and a mixed green salad (4.99). The meal was not very good and the Scaloppine in particular was very skimpy. They poured an unknown kind of white dressing directly into the salad container and the bread was downright pathetic. Two very small pieces which really should have been included in the price of the meal. Here in America it is and you get a choice of salad dressings which come in a container so you can control the amount. Oh, my bad, these are plastic! Now I get it. But surely the UK can come up with another kind of container (heavy paper perhaps?) But I guess for some establishments there it is acceptable to just pour the dressing right onto the salad? By the way, the menu on the website was very lacking in details but as I said previously we were tired and didn't want to keep looking for something nearby that was better. The prices were fair (except for the bread!) but with the exchange rate, we were hugely disappointed with our last meal in London.

Pleasant atmosphere, impeccable service with very attentive and friendly waiters. We ordered lasagna bolognese and spaghetti carbonara, both delicious. Great value for money. I highly recommend it.

After our suitcases were lost at the airport, we needed a good place to eat and feel comfortable. I never expected to eat so well and for this price in London. I will return every day until my vacation is over

Great pasta and great prices too

Staying in London for a couple of days we took a chance to have dinner here. Dinner mate had the lasagna and I the pappardelle with cream sauce and mushrooms. Both of us washed it down with a carafe of merlot. What a delicious meal. Will definitely go back there the next time in London

We ate here twice during our stay and had 2 very difference experiences. On the first visit a lovely man came out and invited us in. He then made sure everything was perfect. On the second night he wasn't present (night off I assume) and the service wasn't as good. We asked for ground pepper and got a salt and pepper put on the table, they forgot about our side salad which arrived once I'd eaten half my pizza. Service charge was added automatically which I didn't like as a tip should reflect the service. Stick with pasta as that blows the the pizza out the water. Side salad was bland.

We came unannounced and the staff got a table ready for us in no time. Food and drink also came super quickly and was delicious. The schnitzel was a bit dry, I would have liked some kind of sauce with it. Still everything was super tasty.

Highly recommended. Pizza, pasta, and delicious desserts. The pizza dough is very good. The service is very friendly, always with a smile. The person in charge of the premises defends himself in several languages. We have been in London for a few days, and my 8 and 11 year old children have wanted to repeat several days. We have good memories of London.

Great service, friendly waitstaff. The food was delicious. I got the Penne Napoli was very refreshing with juicy tomatoes. Also ordered a refreshing Lemonade, and for dessert their rich Tiramisu! 100% worth it!

I wanted an Italian restaurant, this one seemed OK to me… mistake. Smiling, professional and pleasant welcome. It's after that that it gets bad. I had a veal escalope with lemon and fries. It is served with a few grated carrots, a little salad without sauce and a rectangular thing with no taste. The fries are ok (it's the base) but the escalope is cut too thin, in 2 parts, bathed in lemon which is far too present. In short, it's not good (I said it and the smile at the beginning has disappeared...), maybe the pizzas are better? In any case, forget the meat. We're in England, not known for its food, but even if the Italian restaurants are bad...

Food was delicious and our 2 year old devoured a whole bowl of spaghetti (adult portion) on her own 😄 will most definitely come back before we head back home knowing that our daughter (who’s a picky eater) eats well here.

Disappointing. 16.99£ pasta that’s basically just cream and mushroom. No idea where these excellent reviews are coming from, must have not gone to the same place.

Very bad. Tasteless, cold, little and not fresh. It tasted like it came from the microwave yesterday. Not recommendable. Of the 2 dishes ordered, the waiter only managed to serve 1 dish correctly.
