Went for a birthday party and had a table for 4. The service and food were fantastic. Traditional Italian food made perfectly. Wine was affordable and delicious. Thanks guys 🙏🏾

Ordered the spaghetti with clams. Was bland, clams did not taste as fresh (more frozen) and too much oil. Disappointing if only a tenner, but was a lot more than this.

Few restaurants can claim to trade from the same premises for nearly 60 years - Taberna Etrusca is part of this exclusive club. Traditional Italian atmosphere moments from the heart of the City and St.Pauls. The staff were helpful without being intrusive, atmosphere is unrushed, efficient and relaxed. A must visit venue.

Authentic Italian food tucked away in an atmospheric alleyway in the centre of the city. Yesterday at lunch time this osteria served a daily special menu which is incredibly good value. Some of the reviewers who have taken stars off for a large portion should understand that in Italy you would share dishes. However, even so the daily menu was very generous. The linguine alla vongole, tomato veloute and prawn risotto were all delicious. The wine menu is short but good. The tiramisu was very creamy and thiugh large, difficult not to finish. Staff were friendly and efficient.

A delicious meal, authentic dishes, so much better than a chain and at a good price with attentive service.

Very nice business lunch here. Menu has lots of variety and some good daily special prices especially for the City . Worth a visit if you want to admire signed football shirts . Food was really good , lost a star because some of the staff just didn't seem happy and I feel for them , maybe a rude customer or a management issue.

Superb food and a great atmosphere. This restaurant has a sign outside to say that it is officially approved by the Italian government for the authenticity of the food. The special of the day, steak in a grain mustard sauce, was very fine indeed.

I recently had dinner here with a few colleagues, and while the food was a bit of a mixed experience, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed uninterested and quite grumpy, which put a damper on the overall atmosphere. That being said, the rest of the experience was fine. I personally enjoyed the scallop and pasta dishes I ordered—both were delicious and well-prepared. However, my colleagues weren’t as lucky. They found their meals underwhelming and the portions were so large that it became more of a chore to finish than an enjoyable meal. So, while my dishes hit the mark, the inconsistency in both service and food quality left some room for improvement.

Excellent all round, and the staff very kindly brought over a tiramisu adorned with candles and sang “happy birthday”! Really beautiful food and a lovely place at which to enjoy it.

I was a little disappointed as I haven’t been back for a few years. It was very quiet for a Friday lunch! and felt a little pressured to leave earlier as no one else was in the restaurant. The food was ok. The service was ok but I’m not I would recommend

What a gem of a restaurant tucked away in the heart of the city. A charming, traditional italian restaurant where the service and food are consistently good. A successful family run restaurant, where their usp is that nothing has changed over the years in terms of decor and ambience where you can enjoy good food and good wine. You are instantly transported to Italy as you walk through the door. A lovely italian dining experience

Excellent food. We ordered a pancetta which was very tasty, falling apart and soft, and spaghetti with meat fillets, well seasoned. Everything very tasty. I highly recommend it! We will be back, for sure.

Been to Taberna Etrusca several times now. On every occasion the service has been great and the food very nicely cooked and delicious. We did find the noise levels high, but I suppose that’s the downside when visiting a popular restaurant in the city. Will definitely be visiting again.

I had gone with my colleagues for lunch. I am a vegetarian and so was one of my colleagues who was visiting the country for the first time. I told 3 restaurant attendants that two of us are vegetarians and asked for veg recommendations. We ordered vegetarian pasta as suggested. In spite of all the discussion, the waiter served a non veg pasta to us which was an order for another table. Imagine one being allergic to something and telling the restaurant and still being served the dish with the same allergen, I could have very well died there! I only realised being served a non veg dish after another waiter came to the table saying here is your order and I told I have already been served which is when they realised I have been served incorrect dish!! The manager came to me and was smiling all the while trying to apologise. He said sorry ‘it happened by mistake, can only say sorry’!! None of us at the table really saw a hint of apology in his tone.. It was an horrendous experience, my religious and moral values were breached. Never going here again!!

Had a lovely meal here, felt like a real Italian restaurant - food was nice and we enjoyed what we had - service was exceptional. Really enjoyed the wine selection having some italian gems that you don't usually see on a wine menu. The bottle of San Gimignano took us right back to Toscana

Fantastic place and even better food!

We went after work on a Thursday and they were thankfully able to accommodate. The macaroncini with veal ragu was incredible! Highly recommend and will be having dreams about it until I go back.

After trying to find a dinner table in this posh area of the city on a Thursday night and being told we’d have to wait hours more than once, we found this beautiful Italian place. Distrustful at first as this was the first place in this area that was not full, but there was no reason in the end: it was all great!! As we had an Italian in our midst, authenticity was a must: box ticked. A nice seating: tick. Good Italian wines at fair prices: tick. Personal advice by the chef on the best dishes: check. AMAZING FOOD: check!! Fair price: check. Only some staff were a bit more grumpy than others, otherwise it would have been 5 stars for sure ..

Just a great place. Proper Italian. Good food , good staff.

Have eaten here 3=4 times before so thought it would be a good place to take a client, especially in terms of how warm and intimate the ambience usually is. The food was the same high standard as before. Service efficient and friendly. But the ambience was completely changed - tables laid out buffet-style in rows in the main room of the restaurant , with a handful of 2's & 4's kept towards the back. It seems they are in permanent Christmas party mode for a couple of weeks at this time of year. The atmosphere was honestly a bit tacky; such a contrast to how it usually is. They were full and it's clearly good business, and if you like sitting with lots of Christmas parties then no issue. But if you want the Taberna Etrusca you've come to know and love, this was like being in a completely different restaurant, and I'd avoid it for the season in consequence.

A hidden gem, superb Italian cuisine.

The service was friendly and the food was good. It wasn't noisy so it was easy to have a conversation.

I would recommend going to this amazing restaurant. Ignore the bad comments - they work so hard to accomodate you and the food is delicious and beautifully fresh and prepared well. There was a table of 13 of us yesterday and they have a cosy room downstairs. It was for a leaving do. It was spot on and I’d highly recommend going there

Lugar concurrido. Mesas algo juntas. Decoración elegante. Mesa muy bien servida. Menú variado y muy abundante. Cocina excelente. Servicio cercano, amable y dispuesto. Precio razonable.Repetir y aconsejar.

Really good food. Some meals better than others but really good, great service and atmosphere. Was lucky enough to get one of the last tables but would recommend booking.

I have been here previously with friends and used my Tastecard however this time as soon as I mentioned using it I was made to feel bad and only able to have certain food which was embarrassing for myself and friends . Would not recommend or come back

Great food and excellent service

The pasta was over cooked and the sauce was very bland. Seriously overpriced for the quality of food. When I complained they were very defensive saying they sell lots of pasta dishes! There are plenty of other better options in the city. Don’t go here.

Authentic Italian food in London, best fried zucchini I can remember, recommend linguine and clams. Great Italian restaurants always have grappa…this place does.

Had the clam pasta à la carte for lunch with some friends. The food itself was alright, but when the bill came we were overcharged for our mains. The price was listed as 16.5 but on the receipt we were charged 21.5 each. My friends ordered the lobster ravioli which was also listed as 16.5 and were also charged 21.5 This is a dishonest establishment. Please do not come here.

Surprised about the rating of this place, prawns were obviously frozen, chicken was very poor. I've eaten in many city places, this is easily the worst I've been to. Avoid!

I had the restaurant's take on a chicken caesar salad (no croutons, and the dressing was too sour) with the thinnest strips of chicken known to man. For the mains, I had a massive portion of spaghetti bolognese, which I assume was so large to distract from the quality. Honestly, about 4 portions of spag bol heaped into a bowl. The spaghetti was store bought and overcooked, and the bolognese was watery, tasteless, and honestly reminded me of the slop I used to be fed as a young child when my parents didn't have time to cook properly (sorry mum). I had 2 courses, my companion had 3. I tried their tiramisu, which was the best part of the meal, but considering tiramisu is one of the easiest desserts in the world to make, we left pretty unimpressed. Do not go to this restaurant.

Old school Italian. Nice attentive service, a bit pricey but expected for its location, portion size was very generous though.
