Great family run Italian restaurant. Very friendly and fast service, with lovely home made pasta. Highly recommended. 👌

I don't have high culinary standards and I've never written a review on Google. But after this evening I feel obliged to rate this restaurant. The pasta was more than disappointing, indigestible and frankly bad. The salad, tomatoes, mozzarella straight from Tesco (or similar). Nothing was good, everything was honestly bad. The decor and ambiance seem authentic at first but the quality of the food ruins the whole experience.

Pasta was basic & bland. The seafood pasta smelt pretty awful & was mostly inedible. The creme caramel was the same. House wine was basic & rough. The place is pretty grotty. The service was attentive if not a bit rushed. Not that we wanted to hang around. And it was expensive. I don't recommend it at all & wished someone had written a more balanced review. I think the service leads people to be unhelpfully polite

Bamboozled (positively). Am I back home in Italy with my Nonno? This can't be Marylebone in the heart of metropolitan London. This has to be some Osteria in the Italian No-Where. Authentic, fun, genuine. Don't expect anything fancy. No frills or bows. Simply good food, good staff, and Italy pure.

The atmosphere and decorations were warm and seemed authentic. Service was great and we didn't wait long for the food. The food was delicious, but it was not the best

We came here by accident and didnt regret it. Anacapri is a very authentic Italien Restaurant with great service and good food. Before ordering we got some olives, bread and butter as starters including some water. Our pasta (Tagliatelle with spinach and cream) was really good and the Chef also gave us some tips what to see next in the area.

A very authentic Italian place which you can hardly find anywhere these days. You feel like you're in Italy with very polite waiters dedicated to their jobs. Food is amazing too, very traditional.

I wish this place had been in a Seinfeld episode. Spoiler alert: the staff are Spanish putting Italian accent. If you love a little bit of chaos and bolognese it’s a must.

I went twice it was so pleasant, very homey feeling, and delicious. Emilio treated me like family and I can't wait to bring my friends when they're in town.

Would recommend if you dislike poor quality chains like Prezzo, Pizza Express, Ask, Zizzi’s.. Anacapri looks like a slice of Italy in London. Would be a 5/5 as the food was great, fresh and authentic. Prices were unbelievable! The only downfall was the person waiting on our table - he didn’t smile once and made us feel as though we’d insulted him the moment we took our seats. The rest of the team were really enthusiastic, smiling and chatting with customers. Nonetheless, the overall experience outweighed this negative.

Used to go here all the time but haven't been for some years. Still as fantastic as I remember. Lovely food.

Amazing food. Lots of bread, galric bread, chilli & olives as soon as sat down. We had sea bass & rosemary Lamb, both were cooked perfectly!!! Will definitely come back

The food was terrible. No idea how this has got 4.5 stars. The bread arrived stale with little butter wrapped in foil…could have guessed at that stage the food wasn’t going to be great. Carbonara on the menu mentions the word cream. Strike 2. The rest of the food was fairly terrible and not authentic at all. I would avoid.

In the heart of Baker Street, a restaurant stands, Anacapari, they call it, with Italian demands. But alas, my visit was quite the surprise, A chaotic experience that left me unwise. Like a twisted tale from the famed Faulty Towers, Anacapari embraced disorder with no bounds. A dog roamed freely, unbothered and bold, While patrons disrobed, a sight to behold. The aroma of Italy, so rich and inviting, Was overshadowed by scenes that were quite frightening. The waiter, in disarray, rushed to and fro, Orders misplaced, chaos in tow. The pasta, once al dente, now turned to mush, The sauce, over-seasoned, a flavorless hush. The ambiance lacked grace, with a jumbled décor, A cacophony of voices, laughter, and more. While I appreciate unique experiences anew, Anacapari's charm felt askew. The dog and the disrobing, a baffling affair, A quirky twist, but hardly prepared. So, dear friend, if you seek Italian delight, Anacapari may not be your choice tonight. For the charm of Baker Street, there are other sights, Where Italian cuisine truly takes flight.

Just by a chance we went to this place ( only as the name reminded us of Capri and wonderful bread in Anacapri) Had a best steak ever! Surrounding can do with updating but if you focus on food and friendly service than 5/5

The best Italian Restaurant in town with the original Tiramisu (since 1989!) My warmest recommandation Simone (Swiss embassy)

Would be nice place if the food were good. The Tagliatelle Alfredo was totally tasteless, my wife remarked that she probably hadn't had more disappointing food at an Italian restaurant ever. Penne Arrabiata was standard. House red wine mediocre (even as house wines go).

Authentic Italian cuisine... What an insult to Italy, yet alone my taste buds. Sure the service was palatable as was the store bought bread. Outside of that the experience was out of the realms of acceptability. The culinary standards of a twelve year old were projected forth from kitchen; I drank a bottle of average wine I had the misfortune to have ordered before seeing the masacre of a whole culture plate by plate before my eyes. If you know food I advise you avoid this place, unless you wish to visit the lavatory, as I did on my way home. The taste of pure culinary failure wouldn't leave my mouth without extreme measures.

Very kind staff, prompt service, and reasonable prices. We only had spaghetti carbonara, but unfortunately it wasn’t very appetising. The pancetta was soft and they used cream instead of egg yolks and cheese to make the sauce and as a result it’s runny and tasteless. It’s hard not to sound pretentious writing this review, but it’s a simple dish to make and we wished it could have tasted like it should.

Lovely staff and a rather authentic atmosphere. Prices aren’t crazy which in this area is a welcome the surprise. But the carbonara was really, really awful.

Simply fantastic! Emilio and his wonderful team fed us like family! Excellent vibe, super friendly and great Italian servings. Special mentions- Olives, homemade chili oil, tartare sauce, steak, caprese salad, garlic prawns, steak, carbonara, veggie tomato sauce penne, all desserts!

Maybe the best Italian food that we ate! Amazing trout fish with almond sauce and amazing spinach pasta. The house wine was delicious and the atmosphere and stuff was the best that you could expect for.

Excellent local Italian. Everything is always very fresh and beautifully cooked. Helpful, welcoming staff. Last night I had minestrone soup, which was full of vegetables, and a lovely lasagna and side salad. Everything was perfectly cooked as ever here.

Food was good italian home cooking with the usual dishes but with decent grilled sardines

Another couple of top notch visits recently! The veal and ragù so fresh and tasty. Super friendly attentive service. Couldn’t be more apologetic when the salt grinder thingy ran out. Never rushed. Their prices compared to other Italians in the area are much better value for money. There are a lot of reasons it’s always busy and filled with locals.

Fabulous little Italian… very friendly staff who are so attentive and sociable. Great food we had the veal and lamb chops for mains and calamari and a carbonara for starters… the food is perfect and the chianti reserve is a very good bottle of red and such good value… our second visit of many more!

Loved this place! Made me feel like I was in an Italian family friends' house, being treated to delicious homemade pasta, wine and tiramisu (and espresso) for dessert. The ambiance is simple, but homely; the staff are friendly and polite, always trying to crack a joke and make customers smile. It also felt like a very reasonably priced menu for portion size and quality compared to others in the Marylebone area. If you come here, you must try the tiramisu or profiteroles!

Nostalgic. Reminded me of the Italian restaurants I visited as a child with my parents. The decor is dated and faded but that is part of the charm. The waiters were friendly and efficient and didn’t hoover. The food was good, generous portions and came to the table quickly, it was clearly freshly cooked. It is pricey but so is the whole area. Listening to the other customers around us - some were tourist but most were regulars and known to the staff. If you want modern, contemporary decor and food probably not for you. If you grew up in the 60,s & 70,s it will feel familiar. Would have been 5 stars if the chairs had been more comfy.

Although food was all right, service was not. They were trying to rush us. Tartare was bland. Tables were old/dirty looking. Same can be said for plates/cutlery.
