Anacapri in City of London, Westminster

My Sister & I were looking for somewhere to eat around Marylebone but not of the restaurants were grabbing us. We then stumbled across Anacapri, greeted by a very friendly Italian (think he was the owner) who invited us to take a seat outside & immediately given water, fresh bread & olives. Extensive choice on the menu, authentic Italian food, nice wine & super friendly service. What a great little find!

Really good Carbonara, the best ever I had, nice service, definitely recommend

Got recommended this place but was overall pretty disappointed. We were made to feel very rushed and the staff made it very clear they wanted us in and out. Food was clearly microwaved and the steak looked like something anyone could easily do at home. No garlic bread or pizza was a shock given it’s an Italian too. Definitely wouldn’t go back!

Total ripoff. £5 for 4 sprigs of broccoli; £19 for basic pasta; apple pie £7. Rushed, tiny plates to encourage you to order more. Plus service charge for non-service. Avoid with industrial size broom.

Lovely supper sitting out doors with a lively atmosphere, lovely Italian waiters. Dog friendly. Delicious , authentic food. Highly recommend. Wonderful to find an independently run establishment.

I’m a harsh critic when it comes to food but this is one of the best restaurants in London I’ve been everywhere in London and this is my favourite, great service, love the decor (make it feel like you’re in the godfather haha) Italian owners and staff are knowledgeable and food was soo fresh and the pricing was on point paid 100£ for 2 people starter main desert wine and coffee. Definitely a gem highly recommend

This is a true, authentic a lovely Italian spot. From the food to the servers, every aspect is true Italian. In the time we were there, three separate Italian parties came in for dinner, so I feel like it was a real deal. And it lived up to my expectations! Highly recommend this spot!

I've been here several times now with my grandparents and family, the owner is so lovely, staff are wonderful and the food is always great! The restaurant is small but very inviting, feels lIke you're in someones home in Italy.

The restaurant cheats guests by increasing the bill total without any explanation. This has happened multiple times with me but didn’t make a scene since I was with guests. Strongly discourage people from eating the average food at this fraudulent joint with rude staff. Instead go to Emilia’s Pasta on Baker Street. Better food, Better Atmosphere, Same Prices, No Server Attitude

Llamé después de una matinal de teatro para una cena temprano. Llevamos años utilizando este restaurante y nunca deja de dar satisfacción. Ofrece buena comida italiana casera en un ambiente familiar; una mezcla de lugareños que viven cerca y otros como nosotros en el camino a la estación de Marylebone y casa. No esperes la alta cocina, solo tienes un buen servicio a la antigua a un precio razonable.

A pity that 0/5 doesn’t exist. As an Italian, this is ridiculous…the food is probably one of the biggest insults to a whole nation. But even if you are not Italian, you can easily guess that this is a huge scam. I will attach a picture of the carbonara so you might get an idea of what to expect. Ofc I will save you from the rest 🙏🏻

How this place has 4 starts is a mystery to me. The food is so terrible I don’t know where to begin. The service is even worse. They made us pay extra when they understood we were unsatisfied with our food.

Auténtica comida italiana, gran servicio y ambiente. Porciones de buen tamaño y excelente relación calidad-precio en comparación con algunos lugares de Londres. Era un martes por la noche y no tuvimos prisa en absoluto. Tenía opciones vegetarianas que estaban bien cocinadas. Nuestros cumpleaños fueron reconocidos por un pastel y vela, un toque agradable. Lo recomendaría si en la zona de nuevo.

Pay no attention to the yank complaining here about his dish after being unable to choose for himself and not liking what he asked to be suggested. The best Ragu. Consistent hot fresh pasta and plenty of bread and Parmesan. Always good! A local gem.

Traditional Italian food, good value and great service for central London!

Found this place by accident and so glad we did! The extensive menu provided many options of gorgeous food, which were served quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. We sat inside (most people were outside) but that didn’t diminish the atmosphere at all - quite the reverse. Highly recommended.

Came across this restaurant by chance while spending day in London. From the start, staff were welcoming and very friendly. Food and service outstanding. After finding out it was my brother's birthday, they presented him with a special dessert with candle and sang happy birthday. This made the occasion very special.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with good food, fast service and a friendly local vibe. We particularly enjoy sitting outside in the summer when it's warm enough. Prices are fair and decent, especially for the area. Emilio is a star.

The owner greeted us warmly and offered a seating right away. The food came out in a very timely fashion and was spectacular.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a spot to have dinner in London. All we did was take a peek inside and we were immediately invited in and sat at a table. The staff were so warm and welcoming and we felt like we had just been accepted into their family. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere even more so!! It was such a lovely evening as we noticed everyone in the restaurant smiling, laughing, and cheersing one another with raised wine glasses across the room. One of the best experiences we had while visiting London!

We asked the waiter to choose our orders and he suggested the most expensive type of pasta. We said that's fine, the most important thing is that it's excellent. He described it as having chicken, but what we received was without chicken. The taste was very bad - you could make a better one yourself. Finally, this bill is the total of our orders, which should have been $31.8, but they cheated and added an unnoticeable increase that I only noticed after leaving. Do not try this experience at all.

Always good everything one expects from a traditional Italian restaurant. Weather was good so lots of tables outside which brings so much life to the street

Quite possibly the weirdest £75 I’ve ever spent. Some local decided to sing Edleweiss halfway through our meal. The pasta tasted of burnt garlic. The dodgiest wine I’ve drunk and when I asked to taste it the waiter hid the label. The wine was actually called “a nice drop of Pinot noir’ £30 for a bottle of £4 plonk. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you wanna visit 1970’s london then you’re in for a treat.

Nice location, very good food and service

The food was nice, quick to be served and the service was very nice, to finish we had a nice Delta espresso to complete the meal.

Lively restaurant, the boss is slightly over-the-top but friendly. Old Neapolitan school. Very well eaten, beef fillet with Gorgonzola, vegetables and potatoes. Prices quite reasonable.

I don't have high culinary standards and I've never written a review on Google. But after this evening I feel obliged to rate this restaurant. The pasta was more than disappointing, indigestible and frankly bad. The salad, tomatoes, mozzarella straight from Tesco (or similar). Nothing was good, everything was honestly bad. The decor and ambiance seem authentic at first but the quality of the food ruins the whole experience.

Horribly dingy place with insanely inappropriate and rude staff. Couldn’t even stay 30 mins. VERY OLD OWNER GRABBED MY 18 year old SISTER AS WE WERE LEAVING ABD TRIED TO KISS HER CALLING HER BEAUTIFUL. He was not letting go and nobody did anything to stop him. Had to go back and make him apologise for literal sexual harassment. Didn’t let us split the bill even thought they had a card reader cayse “too many cards.” Frequently laughing at us and joking in Italian. On top of everything, 45 pounds for 5 desserts! Disgusting and appalling service. Hated it. Would never recommend

Would not recommend this place to ANYONE especially girls. Staff was extremely creepy and owner (seems about 80) GRABBED me and tried to KISS me on the way out…Had to push him off and run away Went there for dessert and before we had a chance to breathe, we were given menus and bread. Then we told them that we just want dessert, waiter literally told us off and was very rude. Dessert itself was okay, tasted very homemade and for the price (7 pounds per plate) not worth it at all. And most shocking when I tried to leave, said thank you at the door and the old owner grabbed me and tried to kiss my cheek. I was leaning away with my whole body and barely managed to run out of there. All of the waiters were just watching as well. Extremely horrible experience, would never recommend.

Pasta was basic & bland. The seafood pasta smelt pretty awful & was mostly inedible. The creme caramel was the same. House wine was basic & rough. The place is pretty grotty. The service was attentive if not a bit rushed. Not that we wanted to hang around. And it was expensive. I don't recommend it at all & wished someone had written a more balanced review. I think the service leads people to be unhelpfully polite

Bamboozled (positively). Am I back home in Italy with my Nonno? This can't be Marylebone in the heart of metropolitan London. This has to be some Osteria in the Italian No-Where. Authentic, fun, genuine. Don't expect anything fancy. No frills or bows. Simply good food, good staff, and Italy pure.

Sandwiched between increasingly multi-million real estate, little Anacapri is a real original very popular with locals; expect a good range of solid trattoria dishes not high flying cooking and you will be happy, especially with prices well below flashier, younger joints all around. The patron, uttering Spanish, leads his polyglot team allegro, energetically from the front, directing swiftly produced dishes here and there. The pace is fast and furious. A good time is had by all.

The atmosphere and decorations were warm and seemed authentic. Service was great and we didn't wait long for the food. The food was delicious, but it was not the best

We came here by accident and didnt regret it. Anacapri is a very authentic Italien Restaurant with great service and good food. Before ordering we got some olives, bread and butter as starters including some water. Our pasta (Tagliatelle with spinach and cream) was really good and the Chef also gave us some tips what to see next in the area.

I wish this place had been in a Seinfeld episode. Spoiler alert: the staff are Spanish putting Italian accent. If you love a little bit of chaos and bolognese it’s a must.
