The dining experience at Conchiglia, an authentic Italian restaurant, felt just like enjoying a homemade meal. The pasta platter priced at £39 was a standout, so much so that we indulged in another round. From the Spaghetti Carbonara to the Spaghetti Gamberi, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Sausage & Broccoli Fettuccine, each dish delighted our taste buds. My personal favorites were definitely the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Sausage & Broccoli Fettuccine. Additionally, the drinks were a fantastic choice, with two special cocktails priced at £14. While the service was respectful, it wasn't as friendly as one would expect, though there's nothing bad to say in that aspect. The restaurant was quite empty, given that it was around lunchtime on a Friday. I'm already looking forward to returning for another delightful meal.

We went for nice dinner and I must say we'll be back definitely, fantastic little place with amazing vibe, we've felt like we're really in Italy. Food was delicious, pasta platter we took was great, we had to wait a bit long due to 3 different types of pasta being made. Also special drinks like Italian blonde, so delicious. Other then long waiting time everything was fine, but even this didn't killed our vibe there

I don't remember where I saw Conchiglia recommended, but I'm glad I did. Visited with a friend on a busy Friday evening. The restaurant was packed but the servers were very attentive. Between the two of us we had four starters (some of which were HUGE) then shared a pizza (the truffle eleganza). The pizza wasn't to my friends' taste - the honey is a really dominant flavour and the truffle therefore didn't really come through - but I enjoyed it. Anything we couldn't finish, the restaurant was happy to box up for us. I'll be back to try Nonna's Pasta Platter as didn't spot that on the menu until we'd already ordered and it looks fab. I did have some trouble loading the menu on my phone and we did struggle to get someone's attention to bring our bill, but those were our only issues and didn't ruin a good experience.

Food was 10/10, everything was delicious and fresh, and the portion is huge. I accidentally booked for the Thursday rather than the Wednesday and when I called to let him know someone had dropped out last minute but we would be there for 8pm, he kindly arranged for 15 of us to still eat and grabbed extra tables and chairs from outside to make it work. The waitresses were so polite and quick with the service. She made sure everyone had drinks and the food was served promptly. As for the food, it was fantastic - great value for money (huge portions for the pasta and the pizza was massive) and overall a fantastic atmosphere for a work Christmas meal. The setting was beautiful and I loved the decorations and the Christmassy, cozy vibe. The biggest thank you to them for make our Christmas meal such a success! We didn’t have a great experience 😌 We ordered the Aperol Spritz on the bug glass (2l) but it was very watered down. We also ordered the trio of pasta (which I thought was a great idea to have the possibility to try them all), and the plate was well presented but the pasta was a little bit uncooked and the sauces were all mixing with each other. Staff not super friendly, not very attentive (I guess because it was a busy evening) but a smile would please anyone I think (: After 1hr (we didn’t even finished our meal, as it took more than half an hour to arrive) we’ve been asked to leave the table as there were other bookings after us. I feel like we went to Italy for 3 hours 😍 we've stumbled upon this gem by accident and happened to get the lunch combo with two 2 liters aperol spritzs (to those complaining about it tasting "diluted", please have a shift or two behind the bar to understand how such large quantity in one glass affects flavour, I actually watched the bartender measure correct amount of booze to make over 4 regular spritzers). The pizza was crunchy and delicious, i never eat the rim but I absolutely devoured the whole plate. The gentleman, who I assume is the owner, was so welcoming and kind; we sat outside even though it's really chilly right now, the heaters really warmed us up and we ended up staying for 3 hours longer than we were meant to. Like everyone else, I spotted this place on Instagram/ Tik Tok, totally drawn in by the pasta platter and 2 litre aperol. I hadn't done too much research before trying but it seemed nice. It was a shame there was scaffolding over the restaurant and road works going on outside so was very noisy. Service wasn't that great I must admit, the pasta platter looked small but was really tasty and definitely fills you up. We were told the pasta is made fresh in their kitchen and that all the ingredients are sent to London from Italy within 24 hours. The aperol spritz yes it is mostly soda water but still worth getting for the fun of it. I definitely felt like I'd had a drink or 2 after leaving today! The toilets were so small. For womens cubicles my knees were touching the door. We will never know how truly authentic it is but all in all I would go back. Would like to try different pastas and give the pizza a go.

Worth to mention that the platter is 39£ and the portions are quite small compared to the real dish (two people, ate comfortably the pastas and the pizza). The pizza was a bit disappointing as it was lacking flavour and the crust was not very well executed. Absolutely terrible service. From the moment when we stepped in we were not greeted properly by the waitress. Sat down to our pre booked table and it was covered in muck. Requested the waitress bring another napkin. She looked angry and annoyed and didn’t even bother to apologise saying she didn’t know what the ‘crumbs’ were on the table. Crossed our fingers drew in breath and waited for our starters. Came on mucky plates and the waiter dumped the food at the edge of the table didn’t even bother to try and put it properly on the table! Food was below par- Calamari that was tasteless and soggy bruschetta. At this point we asked for the bill- and we’re happy to pay as we had ordered our mains as well as starters. Paid the full bill despite not even recieving our mains because the restaurant atmosphere was so bad and service was so poor. As I got up to leave the waitress who had removed my napkin said ‘well it’s not a five star restaurant here.’ This was highly disrespectful to both the restaurant owner and staff. The only saving grace was an older gentleman who when we were leaving and complained about said waitress said he was happy to take off the mains- and this actually should have been done before we paid so he refunded us. Terrible service, gross hygiene and disrespectful staff. Buyer beware. For the record we have never walked out of a restaurant in this way in our lives- paying without eating.

We arrived early for our reservation and luckily our table was ready. The food here was good, but for the pasta platter the portions were very small. We were expecting full portions of 3 pasta meals which seemed to be larger when ordered individually looking at the tables around us. We got the zucchini/courgette fries for a starter and there were 5 individual fries - it was a very small portion for the price. The lasagna fries were very good as a second starter. Pizzas were also good which we ordered along side our pasta platter. It was incredibly loud in the restaurant. For some reason everyone's voices were amplified and it was hard to hear people at your own table. If you are sensitive to sound, book an outdoor table. Cocktails and mocktails were good, but we did order the 2L aperol spritz and it was very club soda heavy. I appreciated the amount of ice served in the drink as I like my beverages cold, but between the club soda and the ice, you couldn't taste the prosecco and the aperol. The flavour of the cocktail was faint because it was so watered down. On the menu it did not say how much aperol and prosecco were included in the drink. It made for fun photos, but overall a disappointing cocktail for the price. Overall the service, food and drink were good. But pricing and portions did not match.

I went to Conchiglia with my friends for my birthday. I picked the place because of the fantastic Instagram viral videos of it and the good reviews. Upon arrival, 2 of us earlier and 3 of us 5 minutes late, the owner started rushing my friends to order as the table was booked for “one hour only”, despise this being a lie as per our phone booking. When ordering the famous 2 litre aperol spritz, it was so WATERY AND FLAVOURLESS. Checking the menu we realised all the pastas had “cream” on it. With 2 Italians in our table and common taste from the rest of us, automatically we were let down as the “Italian food” was definitely a BIG FAT LIE. Regardless, we ordered as we kept being rushed to make our orders. The food was disappointing, the starters were store bought (prosciutto and salami clearly taken out of a Tesco package) and all pastas definitely non-Italian, the Burrata was the driest I’ve ever tried in my life and I’m a big fan of burrata so that was another let down. After all these, when finally we decided to leave, angry and disappointed, the owner proceeded to come to our table to say “Just to let you know, I’ve worked so hard to keep you in your table for longer”. He was lucky that none of us punched Im in the face with a dry burrata. Falsa Instagram advertising about this place, not authentic, not good food and terrible service. Spotted on Insta - they had me at pasta platter! I think this is the case for a lot of visitors… the restaurant was absolutely packed and people were queuing out the door. What could be more enticing than 3 types of pasta on your plate and 2l of Aperol Spritz? Neighbourhood vibes which I absolutely loved. Alfresco dining. The setting couldn’t be quainter and it has huge appeal from that perspective. Also, again, pasta platter and giant troughs of Aperol!? Genius!! The important stuff: The pasta was fine. Tasty. But nothing out of this world. I would have happily visited again to give it another shot and to try some of the other dishes but the staff make you feel like they’re doing you an enormous favour by being there. The hospitality industry and being rushed off your feet as a waitress / waiter - it’s not for sissies. Happy to pay my 12.5% service charge. But feeling unwelcome and put out at a place isn’t my vibe. Won’t be returning.

Visited this restaurant in May 2023 when seeing a friend in Fitzrovia, London. What triggered me go inside was the beautiful outside interior of the restaurant - back then the decor was sicilian lemon trees and flowers. It felt pretty cosy and authentic. The staff was friendly, the selection of drinks & food was very rich as well. We have had a couple of negronis and aperols, ordered some ragu pasta and a pizza. The pizza was huge and the pasta was in rich tomato sauce - on of the most generous Italian restaurants I have been to across London. We could as well enjoy the peace and quiet of the restaurant, and the beautiful sunset view from across the street. I'd definitely be back in the autumn since the interior inside is very authentic and cosy too. The restaurant is one of the best food experiences I had in central London and I am promising you a great experience and a delicious food!

I don't know what people see in this place! Incredibly average food and one of the worst pizza I've seen in London... borderline illegal with their thin crust and biscuit looking. I had the tartufo bomba and it was tasteless. My gf had the Vesuvio pizza and I was scared for her. I had just one slice of the pizza and I couldn't finish it. From my experience this place was not worth the hype and the prices are way too high for the quality they offer.

I'm sometimes scared to try some new Italian restaurants in London but Conchiglia didn't disappoint. The fried courgette as a starter was tasty and so was my spaghetti with vongole. I can't leave 5 starts for the soggy, "freshly made tiramisù", that was the only thing that wasn't convincing at all. Recommended for sure

Miserable service, cramped tables outside, mediocre food and watered down drinks - not a great experience

Saw the place on Instagram and decided to go. I am Italian and the food was average at its best, especially for the area - there are lots of better authentic Italian places around. Ambience was disappointing. We had a booking on a weekday - policy states that tables can be held for 10 mins. Tried to call them to let them know that we were running 10-15 minutes late but no answer. The real downside of it all was the service: waiters are unorganised and impolite. We made it within the ten minutes but the waitresses treated us horribly from start to finish. Did not even get a chance to actually read the menu because the waitress continued coming to our table to get the order. Proceeded then to remind us that we only had 45/50 minutes left to our booking and that we had to order fast. We decided to order only drinks and appetisers (and have a proper dinner elsewhere) and that clearly annoyed her because shamelessly started huffing and puffing. When we got the food, we were reminded again of the time we had to leave - needless to say that we were out way before.

After seeing this restaurant on TikTok, my boyfriend and I decided to book a table for his birthday, I wish we never did! First of all it took around 10 minutes of being ignored by staff to actually get given our table. When we finally...

Not worth the hype. Firstly service was terrible - they are so fixated on turning over as many tables as possible you are rushed, they were watching to see when we finished and just sweeping plates underneath us without waiting for the whole table to finish & in fact when it came to giving our table back they just pointed at a note they had left on the table that said they need the table back in 1.5 hours (no one asked how the meal was and if we had had a good time and if we wanted anything else or were ready to pay) Don’t bother with the bread - it’s £3 for 2 bits of a baguette. Actually laughable & you get about 6 olives in a small jar that was not even half full and that was about £3.50. Mains were nice but asked for pepper, cheese to top our pasta & chilli oli and never got it. Appreciate they were busy but there are ways of going about doing things and this sadly wasn’t the way because it wasn’t an enjoyable experience for us.

The place is overall okay. The food has fresh ingredients which you can definitely feel. Pizza Siciliana was really delicious but unfortunately extremely salty, maybe they should reconsider the type of capers they are using again or readjust the amount. Pasta’s were pretty good when you compare to other Italian restaurants. We really loved the bruschetta and the fried squid 🦑 Service quality is something really needs to be improved unfortunately. People are really all over and looks like they don’t have information about each other. If they consider the reviews in here they really have the potential of being number 1 Italian restaurant in the city. Cheers 🥂
