It’s been 10 years since I first visited Conchiglia and not once have I been disappointed. Best pizza in London in my opinion. The pizza crust is true to name and super delicious. It’s not just the base! Specials of the day are always amazing. Today we had bruschetta with meatballs and fried polenta with porcini mushrooms as antipasti and then their Sorento pizza with an amazing Burrata cheese and wild rockets topping. It’s a family run restaurant and nothing about this restaurant is fake and just for show, while ambience is immersive and especially lighting is particularly inviting. Marine pasta also highly recommended. As dessert I highly recommend their affogato, tiramisu and one of the best espressos in London. Sorry, I am not uploading an image of the pizza. Couldn’t wait!

Below expectations dining experience They ring a loud bell here when dishes are ready - too loud for me, I found it really unsettling as we ate at a quiet time. Pesto pasta with chicken was really disappointing - a huge piece of breaded chicken (if I wanted this I'd go to Iceland for some frozen birds eye!) with a tiny portion of under-cooked pasta, with watery pesto and spinach. They add 12.5% service charge too automatically on top of the high prices. Comparing the lovely family Italian in my hometown it's just well below what I'd expect. I don't really recommend eating here personally, and I won't be back.

We love to go there for the deal for Brunches! The deal of 2l aperol spritz and and a pizza is amazing and we have been there a couple of times already! The service is amazing and everyone is very friendly! The pizza is truly unique - it’s pretty thin and you have a chance to enjoy the ingredients, which makes the pizza even more tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone, even if you want to go there for pasta and not pizza.

We were seated quickly and the waitress was friendly and well informed with the specials and wine. It's a small, cosy restaurant with an authentic Italian feel to it. The food was alright, the pasta was more al dente than I like. The tirimasu was soggy. The waitress was sweeping the floor and taking in chairs from outside just after 9pm which ruined the atmosphere a bit but I understand people want to get home.

Food was nice and aperol spritz was good. Although, we asked for 2 ingredients to be removed from a pizza and they wouldn't swap for a different one, we had to pay extra for the different ingredient. We also were kicked off our table at the end of our slot even though there were plenty of other empty tables. Also someone kept sweeping around us while we were eating. Little bit disappointing actually.

I’ve been walking past this restaurant for years and finally visited for dinner - I’m upset I didn’t sooner as it was a great experience. As soon as we arrived all the staff were very welcoming and remained attentive throughout the stay. The table was a bit small for two people but on a less busy evening I’m sure they’d have no problem accommodating if they can. The produce on display and available to purchase in the entrance way of the restaurant gives a nice family-run vibe, and that feeling continued throughout. Menus are available via QR code but they do have paper ones if you prefer. There’s a good range of items with the pizzas clearly a speciality. The calamari and garlic bread starters were nice for two people to share, and the pasta main dishes were a decent size, with plenty of prawns served with the gamberi plate. Beers were only available in small bottles rather than anything on draught. Decor is lovely and traditional but my only complaint would be with the toilet facilities - downstairs and in need of a bit of TLC, given there is only one available. Overall a great traditional Italian and somewhere I’ll definitely be returning to - highly recommended!

What a GEM! Been looking for an authentic no fuzz italian and so glad to find this fantastic place! We were running late and called ahead to let them know. When we arrived, we were offered outside or inside seating. Chose outside as inside was packed with diners. Ordered calamari and bruschetta to start and they were equally good! My favorite is the spaghetti gambari. The pasta was cooked to perfection but the sauce tasted like heaven with plenty of king prawns! The homemade tiramisu was the icing on the cake. Went past some places but saw the menu and the price and thought, lets give it a go! Best decision we made! Mum asked for a pizza without cheese (health reasons before you start!) And she was well chuffed with what she got! There was no overabundance of sauce to compensate for the lack of cheese, plenty of toppings and a nice authentic thin base! The dining experience at Conchiglia, an authentic Italian restaurant, felt just like enjoying a homemade meal. The pasta platter priced at £39 was a standout, so much so that we indulged in another round. From the Spaghetti Carbonara to the Spaghetti Gamberi, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Sausage & Broccoli Fettuccine, each dish delighted our taste buds. My personal favorites were definitely the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Sausage & Broccoli Fettuccine. Additionally, the drinks were a fantastic choice, with two special cocktails priced at £14. While the service was respectful, it wasn't as friendly as one would expect, though there's nothing bad to say in that aspect. The restaurant was quite empty, given that it was around lunchtime on a Friday. I'm already looking forward to returning for another delightful meal.

I don't remember where I saw Conchiglia recommended, but I'm glad I did. Visited with a friend on a busy Friday evening. The restaurant was packed but the servers were very attentive. Between the two of us we had four starters (some of which were HUGE) then shared a pizza (the truffle eleganza). The pizza wasn't to my friends' taste - the honey is a really dominant flavour and the truffle therefore didn't really come through - but I enjoyed it. Anything we couldn't finish, the restaurant was happy to box up for us. I'll be back to try Nonna's Pasta Platter as didn't spot that on the menu until we'd already ordered and it looks fab. I did have some trouble loading the menu on my phone and we did struggle to get someone's attention to bring our bill, but those were our only issues and didn't ruin a good experience.

Staff not super friendly, not very attentive (I guess because it was a busy evening) but a smile would please anyone I think (: After 1hr (we didn’t even finished our meal, as it took more than half an hour to arrive) we’ve been asked to leave the table as there were other bookings after us. I feel like we went to Italy for 3 hours 😍 we've stumbled upon this gem by accident and happened to get the lunch combo with two 2 liters aperol spritzs (to those complaining about it tasting "diluted", please have a shift or two behind the bar to understand how such large quantity in one glass affects flavour, I actually watched the bartender measure correct amount of booze to make over 4 regular spritzers). The pizza was crunchy and delicious, i never eat the rim but I absolutely devoured the whole plate. The gentleman, who I assume is the owner, was so welcoming and kind; we sat outside even though it's really chilly right now, the heaters really warmed us up and we ended up staying for 3 hours longer than we were meant to. Coming back for sure!!!

Ordered the pasta trio, only 1 of mine was very good - the other 2 were tomato dishes that were very bland and poorly seasoned.

Terrible service as every staff member is overwhelmed by the workload. So be ready to wait for a table, for the waiter to come and take your order, to get the bill etc. food was questionable as I had a bad stomach reaction to the pasta and the tiramisu was very much not a tiramisu, and since they advertise themselves as Italian restaurant they should know how to make one

Like everyone else, I spotted this place on Instagram/ Tik Tok, totally drawn in by the pasta platter and 2 litre aperol. I hadn't done too much research before trying but it seemed nice. It was a shame there was scaffolding over the restaurant and road works going on outside so was very noisy. Service wasn't that great I must admit, the pasta platter looked small but was really tasty and definitely fills you up. We were told the pasta is made fresh in their kitchen and that all the ingredients are sent to London from Italy within 24 hours. The aperol spritz yes it is mostly soda water but still worth getting for the fun of it. I definitely felt like I'd had a drink or 2 after leaving today! The toilets were so small. For womens cubicles my knees were touching the door. We will never know how truly authentic it is but all in all I would go back. Would like to try different pastas and give the pizza a go.

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. We did book a table, which i would recommend as it got busy. We shared Nonnas sharer, which was fab - and such a great idea. The servers were all friendly and food was excellent. I would recommend.

Amazing pasta! We ordered Tartufo Bomba, Pappardelle Burrata Bomba and Carbonara. While all were very tasty, Carbonara was my favourite. Very cozy interior and pleasant servers. Highly recommended!

Absolutely shameful that you would allow customers to make reservations (with a full confirmation!) for a restaurant that is closed!!

Attended for a friends birthday dinner - great service, good pizza and cocktails and a glitzy interior suitable for a celebration.

The food is quite ok, the tomato sauce is clearly not homemade and neither is the pasta. But the worst part is that they serve bread as a starter, without warning anywhere they charge €10 per person, including a 5 year old child. It does not offer a children's menu, they sell smaller portions, with prices almost identical to those for adults. I don't recommend it under any circumstances.

Bolton’s: A Trip Back in Time, and the Veal Ragu’s Not Half Bad Either Bolton’s is one of those little gems that proves just how far London will go to stay exactly the same. You know that bit in Goodnight Sweetheart where Gary Sparrow ducks down an alleyway and suddenly, it’s 1940? Well, at Bolton’s, you shuffle down a flight of stairs off Cullum Street and it might as well be 1979. Maybe even ’69, though who’s counting? The walls are blank, save for the odd, indifferent frame, and there’s a stiffness to the white tablecloths that feels like it’s been preserved by the ghost of Italian restauranteurs past. But here’s the thing—it’s glorious. Because what Bolton’s does, it does very well. There’s no nonsense here: no drizzles, no foams, no plates resembling the mind of a mad artist. Just honest, robust Italian food served by waiters who glide about with the kind of seamless charm that makes you feel like a long-lost cousin of the family. Now, to the meal. I started with a plump bundle of asparagus, artfully draped in something rich and buttery, and it was everything you’d want. Then came the veal ragu over pasta, a dish with so much gusto it could’ve walked straight out of Nonna’s kitchen in Naples. It’s simple, bold, and nearly as satisfying as a first love—or maybe a third, by which point you’ve learned to appreciate reliability over flash. Is it groundbreaking? Absolutely not. But that’s what makes it perfect. Bolton’s has no interest in change, and for that, it deserves a proper cheer.
