Very nice food and atmospheric place. Pasta was delicious and al dente. Steak very soft and juicy, nicely cooked. And desserts were fantastic so light but full of flavour. Definitely worth to visit. Surprisingly their house red wine was good as well. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure

We’d booked out the whole restaurant for 25 of us on two long tables. All organised in advance, Ida’s served a 3 course sharing menu which was fabulous. A little bar was set up so we could get up and pay for pre-dinner drinks. Starters were burrata served with roasted squash, an aubergine, tomato & pine nut dish, broad bean hummus with bread and olives. Mains were three delicious home made pastas - ragu, pepper sauce and pesto, baked fish cooked with tomatoes, olives and anchovies and a green leaf salad. Desserts were affogato ( vanilla ice cream with shot of espresso), orange cake with chocolate sauce and vin santo with cantucci biscuits. All cooked and served by a team of ladies headed up by the daughter of the owner. Leftovers were boxed up for us to take home. £45 each which included service. The sharing menu was a great idea allowing us all to sample Ida’s menu - home made pasta was exceptional. Lovely way to spend a leisurely Sunday lunchtime with good friends. Thank you Ida’s.

Lovely little restaurant that has some delicious and wholesome food. Pasta is warming and meats are well cooked. Deserts were amazing They cater to allergies and dietary requirements including GF (gluten free). Recommend

We came to Ida spontaneously as our dinner plans changed. This is a great little gem of a restaurant - quick service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere!

Truly characteristic restaurant, very comfortable and pleasant. Super positive personal experience, starting from the starter to the first courses, with the waitresses who welcome you with open arms, super helpful and always courteous. The food is truly fabulous, I highly recommend all Italians to try it (even several times). 5 full stars.

This is a place that you would love to take a date as it is cosy with beautiful lighting and a very friendly team to plate up delicious foods. The only downside was that I was cold and near the wall as radiator was off. My plate was cold but I always prefer warm plates and finally I left a little hungry. Despite ordering Ragu I would have preferred to see a little more pasta in a portion. Despite this it’s a great place.

I had no expectations coming here but it blew me away. Pasta is best in London (perfect sauce, perfect bite, good portion size); starters were lovely; service was immaculate. Desserts could be a little better (some ice crystals in the ice cream) but I'm nitpicking. For the price, this could and should be a "must visit" if you like pasta. Side not, the decor is perfect

Lovely unassuming Italian restaurant.

Such a cosy, pretty atmosphere and genuinely caring, friendly and attentive service. Pasta absolutely delicious and exactly as it should be (transported me to Italy). Tiramisu right up there too. Only one star down on food because the “secondi piatti” could be a bit more interesting & tasty. Can’t believe I didn’t know Ida before! Will be my new local favourite.

This is how I would sum up Ida's restaurant. Extremely over-priced, not good value for money and food was dreadful, pasta was grey and had a chemical taste and the steak (medium) was so charred on the outside it was crisp resulting in the only flavour of charcoal - went home hungry. Mains served with extremely small portion of parementer potatoes that could have fitted into a childs hand, no other veg accompanied the main. Rushed out and reminded by waitress the next sitting was about to start. Genuinely fail to see what this place has going for it and would not recommend or ever return.

Once inside it is like you have been transported back to Italy and a lovely little restaurant. It is small so booking is highly advisable. The food was great - they make their own pasta and it shows. I also liked the fact the menu/wine list is not massive - they seem to just concentrate of getting the basics right. Friendly staff, lovely ambience. Would return.

I am so tired of paying massive bills in restaurants in London. We were recommended Ida and we had one of the best Italians we’ve had for a long time. It’s a family run restaurant. The service was great and the pasta excellent. It’s got a lovely old fashioned ambience. Then the bill came. £45 per head. Don’t get that in London. Cecconis in centre of London the next night (£85 a head) didn’t come close.

Very homely atmosphere and decor, excellent service and delicious food!

The food was delicious and the staff are very efficient. The downside is that the restaurant can get quite loud making it difficult to have a conversation.

One of our absolutely favorite local spots! Fresh made pasta and delicious veggie dishes with hearty sauces and great Negronis. So much to love about Ida!

I'm a massive fan of this restaurant. The food is delicious, be it pasta, meat or dessert. The staff are super friendly. The atmosphere is great and it offers good value. A perfect authentic neighbourhood restaraunt.

My son and I had spotted this restaurant while driving through Queen’s Park during lockdown and had been meaning to visit this quaint and authentic Italian restaurant ever since. Well we finally got around to it this WE for a mini family celebration. We had a three course menu £38 pp which provided lots of option choices and amongst our group of five, we managed to take in most of the dishes available. I should add no one was disappointed. I had the goats cheese, followed by sea bass cooked in parchment paper to preserve the flavour and olive oil and followed by an orange and almond sponge cake, accompanied by ice cream. I should add that the service was friendly and authentic, Sala was our waitress and pointed out that her sister who was also in attendance, was responsible for all the artwork displayed. Highly recommended and I plan to return on two more occasion in the coming weeks.

Very good, family run, italian restaurant. The seabass with olives and capers was really good and so was the butternut squash to start. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere. They have a set lunch menu but you can also order a la carte. Overall very nice experience here.

Very cute place, candle lit and feels very intimate. All the food was very good if a little expensive for what it was. The tiramisu was just okay, very small. Most of the waitresses were great, but there was one who was a bit rude / awkward and not very attentive.

Ida is a gem of a restaurant that once sampled, is the sort of place you want to keep to yourself. Family run to the highest standards of Italian culinary perfection, Ida produces fresh home made dishes based on handed down family recipes. The pappardelle al ragù marchigiano and pappardelle al ragù di cervo evoke happy memories of sun splashed Italy and it’s wonderful culinary traditions. Get a booking if you can but be patient, it may take awhile.

The best and most authentic Italian restaurant I have found in London. Always a pleasure to visit and amazing food too!

Lovely atmosphere however very rushed. Strange to be pushed out of a restaurant after spending a lot of money. If service is going to be that slow it might be worth increasing the length tables a booked for.

Ida is a cosy, neighbourhood Italian restaurant which we went to for my sister's birthday in November '22. The staff are lovely and the food (inc handmade pasta) was the real deal. Lovely place for a date night too :)

The cosy and romantic vibes is what makes this place special. The food was lovely, especially the Three Bruschetta’s - each one of them was amazing and would definitely recommend getting this if you visit. My partner has the steak which he enjoyed. I had the gnocchi which was okay but wouldn’t get this again. We didn’t book and it was very busy. We were able to get a table but it was pushed into a corner. So would advise booking to get a nice table. Worth a visit for the starter and atmosphere.

Great food. Good service. The place has a really nice ambience.

All fur coat and no knickers. Gorgeous inside, really beautiful, but the food is a let down. It needs seasoning big time (thinking specifically of the broad bean dip we had to start which needed a lot of salt) and the pasta was nothing special at all. The ragu was watery and tasteless (and not remotely cooked down - the meat was chewy) and left a general oily mouthfeel which wasn’t pleasant. It’s also very expensive for what it is - not very good Italian food.

Characterful local restaurant serving simple and tasty, well-prepared food. A shortish wine list makes it easy to choose too, and house wine is offered by the carafe. Friendly service and good value.

Amazing place and amazing food, great value for money

Ida was one of the best restaurant concept I’ve seen in London. Despite that is a small place, this is exactly what makes it special. Food was… excellent. Not full, not empty. Just the right size. By the way. Thanks you for the tiny light I found on your restaurant. After a long week in front of hundreds screens, my eyes, finally, were able to get relaxed. Went with a friend for dinner and had a fantastic surprise: atmosphere is great, food is delicious and staff very helpful. We had Molinata, Caprine con Melanzato, Lamb chops and Ribeye steak, with house red wine: All delicious! Defo recommend you give it a try. Make sure you book ahead, especially at weekend!

With a friend I went to Ida for the first time on Sunday 16th October 2022. We both enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the very friendly and helpful service given by the two young ladies. The online booking was easy. We will definitely be back for lunch or for dinner. I would like to try another Sunday lunch menu. Enjoy!

We had the most brilliant evening here, what a gem! We live locally but had spotted in when driving past. Very authentic and a great family owned feel. The food was delicious (we had tagliatelle and gnocchi) and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely coming back soon.

The food is really good in line with a lot of italian restaurants in London. Italian food is easy to make well. The service on the other hand is shocking. The lady who I assume is manager could really do with some customer service training, you should not be facing the public if you can't do so with a smile. I have never felt so unwelcome and having discussed this experience with my friends they feel the same too. People want to relax when they are eating dinner. You have just got it so so wrong, as this place has potential because the food is nice.

Appalling service! In fact, it was the worst service I think we’ve ever come across! We had a dinner reservation for 8:30pm on Tuesday 12 July, and upon arrival we were met by a very discombobulated and overwhelmed team and owner who were running around like sweaty headless chickens, in a very hot, dark, unbearably stuffy and overcrowded room without any AC (or electric fans!) - the sight of this, was in itself rather off putting, and tempted me to turn away! At the door we were asked for the name under the reservation over 4 times by 3 different staff members. We were then asked by the owner to wait outside for “5 minutes”. As expected, the 5 minutes turned into 15 minutes before we were eventually seated and left for a further 15 mins, without as much as a glass of water. We were finally attended to by the very ill-mannered and graceless owner, and after our very brief interaction, we decided we would be better off dining elsewhere, which indeed we were in the lovely hands of The Summerhouse, which never fails to disappoint. Whilst I therefore cannot comment on the food at Ida, what I can say is that the basic standards and level of service that you would expect at a restaurant were non-existent. The fact of the matter is, Ida is not a restaurant, it is an eatery. A very small, and poorly run eatery.

Well I was charged with finding a place for my sons 30th. The remit was great food good service and parking suitable for ages 26-87!!! And yes they wanted Italian food. Having been there only once before I thought it worth the risk. And it was, we ordered most of the menu so everyone could try lots of things. They had no objections to ballon’s and we brought the must have “Colin the catapiler “ cake too All in all a huge success and I have already re-booked to go with friends in two weeks

I used to pass by the restaurant on my way to work years ago. Since it was early morning it was always closed. On my way home I would see it open. I was curious about this place until yesterday when we came to have dinner. The restaurant is small and cozy, the walls are covered top to bottom with corky paintings and pictures. At night, tables come to live with candles and the noise of people having a good time. The food though, is the real star of this place. The pasta, the burrata, the limoncello and negroni and the panna cotta and tiramisu were simple, yet delicious and filling. The house wine was also really good and a great match to our main meal. Great experience.

Lovely restaurant with an excellent Italian cuisine. Perfect place to share with family or a romantic dinner. If you want to celebrate your birthday there, the whole restaurant will sing together. 100% recommended

We have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while and it was everything we'd hope for. The quirky interior is inviting, with a great ambience. We went for the set menu on a Sunday - really generous portions of food, and we didn't feel rushed through the 3 courses. The food was wholesome and traditional, and we enjoyed the elderflower spritz that accompanised the meal. The restaurant was full; families and couples. The staff were attentive and friendly and we really enjoyed our lunch here. I don't understand the negative reviews; sometimes I feel people don't know what authentic italian food tastes like! We'll be back!

Wow! What an amazing meal at a place you're unlikely to find if you don't live in the area. It feels like a place locals go any random night for a nice home cooked Italian meal. It's very low key and all of the flavour and passion goes into the food which comes out surprisingly fast. The prices are excellent, for the quality, I'd pay more. It wasn't my birthday, but I loved how they asked everyone to join in to sing "Happy Birthday" to someone, it felt really special. If you're ever in the area or don't mind the journey, do yourself a favour and book a table!

Lovely quaint relaxed and friendly Italian restaurant. Old school decor. Wife had the Seabass with she loves and I had the swordfish linguine (very good). Nice Tiramisu. Will go back again...book early... difficult to get reservations.

There are plenty of good Italian restaurants in London but by far my favorite all around experience was at Ida. Excellent food, ambience and experience. Authentic neighborhood restaurant. Would love to have a place like Ida nearby!

Very good food. We all had different pasta dishes and they were all excellent. Our favourite was divided between the tagliatelle with pork or the swordfish. The only let down was that they had run out of tiramisu for dinner, but we were all happy with our desserts. Would definitely recommend

Quaint little place in the heart of Maida Vale. Went on a busy Saturday evening and the sweet lady managed to squeeze me in. I ended up having a very delicious meal. Will def go again.

The place is very cosy, It makes you feel like you are in an italian grannies house. The food was exquisite and the perfect quantity. My favourite were the figs with honey and nuts. It was a must. The cutlery reminded me of the one used at my grannies, i loved it. It is a place i would like to visit again. The staff was ok, but i expected they make you feel more welcoming. I presumed , It was because they were only 2 people serving in a very busy time.
