Piada is the best place ever. The most delicious pasta, especially the pomodoro sauce!!! The workers are so nice and the service is amazing, Would give it 1000 stars if I could :) I go every day

I am dissappointed I paid for vegetarian mushroom pasta and I was given mozerala tomatoes sauce pasta. Expensive.

Great small cafe serving hungry city workers with homemade Italian cooking. Had a lovely tomato pasta with a good chunk of mozzarella on top, convivial atmosphere and lovely owner. Gets really busy but stick around for a bit and you'll find a seat!

Great food, outstanding service from staff and the owner himself! On top of that, we got complementary coffee and sweets after lunch. Very-very nice, highly recommend! Grazie mille!

La pasta e' sempre eccezionale: ingredienti genuini, ricette gustose e porzioni abbondanti. Viene fornito anche il pane di accompagnamento, proprio come a casa... Infatti andando da Piada ci si sente proprio catapultati in Italia. Consiglio vivamente le lasagne. Il locale e' piccolo ma accogliente. C'e' la possibilita' di pranzare all'aperto nella carina piazzetta di Adam's Court e nella bella stagione ci si puo' spostare nel grazioso cortile a pochi metri... Ci andrei ogni giorno!!

Came here with my dad as he works near and it’s definitely a little gem, the pasta is ridiculous fresh and flavourful 🍝! However get there early as there’s a queue forming from 12:30pm Oh and to top if off they give complimentary coffee and brownies after

I am very disappointed with the quality of chicken salad I purchased today I have eaten from this place number of times in the past usually ravioli for a change I opted for the chicken salad was so disappointed. The chicken pieces were so hard and salty not edible, the rockets leaves were not fresh and yellowing they loaded with potato was not even tasty. I should have returned it as it is unfair to charge for a take out salad £8 and feeling overcharged and deceived. I did not see the owner today, he's usually around I am wondering if the staff is not on top of things. I tried to contact them on line to provide my view of the experience but they are not contactable! They should know that once the word goes round, there is no return of the loyal customers and you will loose out. Originally ordered 1 x sausage pasta and 1 x mushroom pasta and to my absolute astonishment I was given 2 completely different meals! the staff were too busy having a chat with fellow members of staff and one customer to even pay attention to this - very upsetting, usually I'd like to think I am mentally strong, but this really upset me. I will NOT be returning anytime soon.

I went to Piada in to try and find a Piadina (Piada for short), and even though the google overview says they sell them, they don't and haven't done for 12 years (according to Renato the owner). Having said that, as i was already there I ordered the Caprese salad, and it was delicious! Generous helping of Parma Ham and Cheese and the vinegar really pumped up the flavour! If you're Italian (like my colleague who was with me) the Renato will spend a good amount of time chatting to you!

Probably put sign boards to indicate outsiders exactly where you are located.

Wonderful food, lovely owner and great coffee. They normally have 2 authentic ilaian dishes being cooked on 2 stoves in front of you by two teams of chefs. Can't recommend it highly enough. Always a vege option and normally a meaty option.

Be careful if you get piada via mealpal. They provide a cheaped out version with loads of pasta , but no sauce. You feel like you are eating just boiled pasta.

A friend introduced me to this little place about 2 years ago and we go most weeks. The owner is a friendly guy, passionate about his food and his customers. Menu is simple but the dishes taste awesome and the sauces are divine. Cant be the only one who thinks its great - queues are often long at lunch (although service is fast and friendly). Coffee is wonderful afterwards as well. Please support a great small business which deserves to thrive.

Loved the food. Had the Ravioli for lunch. Sat outside ( it was a lovely sunny day) The owner of the restaurant made sure everything was perfect and at the end they brought me a complimentary coffee.

I visited January 2018, very impressed actually. Yeah, the place is not fancy-fancy like many take away places BUT it's clean, wholesome, honest, proper food. The tomato sauce was not out of a can, the cheese is real the fillings are robust, the chocolate brownies are top drawer. Tasty, tasty food and they should be COMMENDED for putting good fooding in front of posh marketing. New favourite.

Of the beaten track, owner is a ledge, coffee is gooooood, they even do Vegan options... What's not to like

Probably the best authentic italian food in London. Fresh ingredients. Cooked by Italians who actually know how to cook. Very popular with italians working in City. Expensive, but that reflects the fact that they are clearly going out of their way to get the finest food. Guy who runs the place is a legend !

Friendly atmosphere and amazing owner!

Ok - I'm an Italian food snob having owned an Italian restaurant in London and being from NYC (home of wonderful Italian food)....and this small place is simply amazing! Stumbled upon by mistake in search of warm food for lunch and am back at my desk in shock! The penne is al dente, meaning it wasn't cooked this morning in a rush to prepare for their customers today, it's been cooked now- perfect! The sauce - a basic marinara - is fresh! Complete with stewed cherry tomatoes. It tastes Devine / better than mine actually 🤦🏼‍♀️ and it's complemented with a wedge of cheese, sausages that taste as if flown in from Sicily and a topping of Parmesan x I'm in heaven and all for 8 pounds?! A gem of a find for this area! The owner is hilarious and keen to please! Go, via! Via! Allora!

It's very close to my offices and the I really enjoyed the Italian atmosphere at the restaurant. One downside was that sauce was very strong and I wouldn't mind a bit less sauce on mine, that's a personal preference though.

Renato proviene dal settore della Grande ristorazione, ma quando ha ritenuto forse giustamente, che la sua "fase" italiana si era conclusa ha raggiunto sua figlia a Londra per provare insieme a realizzare una piadina con un look tradizionale ma decisamente al passo dei tempi perché più sana. L'esperimento è riuscito perché se oggi a Londra ma non solo, vuoi gustare una piadina fatta con olio d'oliva e non con grassi anche vegetali ma di oscura provenienza o idrogenati, devi necessariamente andare da Piada. Non te ne pentirai! j.c.s.

If you love Italian then a visit to Piada us a must. What I like is that there are only 4-5 things you can choose from. Keeps it a quick take away. Pasta and salads are all really good. Guy at the till is always humble and they have Chinotto which is my favourite drink but hard to come by in the UK. I go couple times every week and enjoy my food every time. Do yourselves a favour and try this if you are close by.

I visited this place at lunchtime. There are very limited choices on the menu, each for about £8-9 just for pasta?! The old guy on the till was very rude asking us to hurry up with our card payments even though there were no other customers at the time we were paying. When we sat down he asked us to hurry up eating to make space for other people coming in. The food itself was ok, but paying £8 to eat pasta in a tiny space harrassed by a cranky man is an experience that we won't be repeating. Better to get cheaper and tastier pasta at Scarpetta close by in Cannon Street. We won't be coming back.

Was in the city today so decided to pop in for lunch. Even though it was just after 12pm the queue was building. When you taste the fresh pasta, sauces and coffee you realise why it's so popular. Will I return? Certainly!

I go to Piada 2-3 times a week and always am impressed by how delicious and fresh the food is. Don't be put off by the queue it moves fast and lots of the time the amazing host will give you a free piece of brownie or chocolate with your meal. The staff are friendly and fast and the food is delicious and worth the money (you can order half portions for £5 if the large £8 is too big for you). They usually have 2 pasta dishes and 2 salad/Piada dishes and a whole host of extras you can add, most people in my office visit Piada at least once a week!

Reservamos una mesa aquí para el almuerzo, enseguida nos dimos cuenta que no sucede muy a menudo. Es un establecimiento muy rápido el volumen de negocios para la gente de negocios de la ciudad. A pesar de esto, el cordial anfitrión italiano nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y poner una mesa para nosotros. La comida es de una gran relación calidad-precio y muy sabroso. Nos dimos cuenta que era pawing en la pasta de mi novia, y decidí darme un bol gigante gratis! Luego ofreció café para todos nosotros gratis, pero insistió en que nos lo pagaría. Great pasta, lovingly prepared, friendly charismatic staff who appreciate their customers, fairly priced. Would get lunch here every day if the health regime permitted.

My favourite place to get coffee, cakes and/or lunch. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the lattes are inexpensive, the cakes are homemade, and the food is authentic, with a menu that changes daily. I now get coffee every morning from Piada on the way to the office. Highly recommend.

Very good and cozy Italian deli for eat-in or take away in the heart of London City. The menu offers 4to 5 choices of pasta and piadina, with changes in the menu on a weekly basis. Despite the average queue, service is generally kind and efficient once you approach the counter. Respecting the Italian tradition, portions are abundant and ingredients are genuine from the Belpaese.

A colleague and I visited this diminutive cafe / pasta restaurant for a catch-up meeting on a quiet, sunny morning in June. It was just before the lunchtime rush and so they weren't packed out with people buying steaming bowls of pasta to take back to their desks. Instead we sat outside and enjoyed the best cappuccinos we've had in the City (there's a Starbucks just around the corner if you want something less interesting; here the coffee was rich, smooth and intense - proper Italian coffee, basically), encouraged all the while by a smart, trendy grey-haired Italian chap who I assume was the owner.Anthony had a friand and I had a canoli. I've only eaten canoli once, at a pizzeria in Brooklyn and this knocked spots off that, with a soft shell and cream that was just sweet enough without being in your face. It was the first time either of us had sampled friand and Anthony went searching for recipes as soon as we got back to the office. We sat on high stools, had a good chat in the sunshine and generally put the world to rights. Looking to repeat the experience this month, we came around the corner toward Piada at around two in the afternoon only to find a queue out the door and every table full. To say we were disappointed was something of an understatement.

Don't be worried by the sometime rather long queue by the entrance, the service here is quick.As for the food, there's no real menu, only a selection of 5 different dishes that change daily (although they seem to rotate weekly).There's one or two pasta choice, one or two "piadina" (a kind of flat bread), and a salad.Each is between 7 to 8 GBP.I ranked this as 4 stars because it is a very nice warm lunch in the middle of the city of london. It could be a 5 star by being a bit more consistent about the quality of the food (sometimes, the pasta is overcooked, sometime there's a lot of tomato sauce but not so much mozarella).
