Came on a Sunday and the staff were not rude but not very helpful and the waitress couldn’t get us out of here quick enough will not be returning

Fabulous atmosphere with the best staff & exceptional food. We went there for our sons 15th birthday. I told the restaurant ahead of time and they couldn't have been nicer. The put a candle in his dessert and all sang happy birthday 🥰 Staff were so lovely. Will definitely be back

Good Breakfast and Good Pasta In busy London, there are a lot of cafes that serve pastries and coffee. All of them are small without toilets. The customers must be living or working nearby. Not a big fan of cold pastries anyway. Finally found Ponti's that serves hot food. With toilets. Nice, cosy and clean environment. Different to most of the London's restaurants, the tables are not too close to each other. What a good place to take a break. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Excellent pasta. I cannot ask more.

This is my second visit and this time to meet family with young children. The service was excellent again. My only criticism was there were wine and food items not available which in the case of dessert the waiter hadn’t been made aware of and the items missing were popular items we hoped would have been available

I had pre book table for Saturday 28 Dec 2024 at 5pm ,Oxford Circus, greeted by friendly staff at check in, who showed us to our table, service from staff attentive, courteous, food excellent , we will be booking again for March 2025, I highly recommend a visit to Ponti’s, thank you to all the staff at Ponti’s

There is much better Italians just round the corner. The staff that were men were polite and helpful the women however were rude and bitchy. The main host kept staring at us and our waitress come over once. Until we asked one of the male staff to remove the service as we didn’t have any service! Our waitress then appeared to take payment and wanted to try to make conversation . To then top it all off the toilets are vile. The women’s have sanity bins over flowing, crisp packet on the floor and poo over the back of the toilet seat. My partner used the men’s and the chef walked in and was Fleming and spitting into the toilet repeatedly and then walked out the toilet! I had a take away box and I threw it straight into the bin as clearly hygiene isn’t a priority behind the scenes ! I won’t returning it was my first and last time.

Chaotic service in an otherwise perfectly ok setting, with quite nice food (if a little over-priced). Staff really struggled with our order, didn't seem to know the names of their dishes. Mains arrived with starters, dishes handed out seemingly at random across the table, hot plates handed to customers... We'd come out to see the panto and our started sooner than we expected! The vegan menu has enough options not to seem like a token effort, and the food itself was absolutely fine, so that's something.

Available and there are Italian-speaking waiters on the staff.

A lovely meal with my daughter before we went to see Wicket at Penistone Paramount. We had a lovely meal and ate it all, perfect!

We came here today as a family of 6 and were really impressed with the food and service, we were seated immediately, the bread basket and olives were so good, probably some of the best olives I’ve had, we all went for pasta and the flavours were Devine!

Good pizza. Very bad drinks. They begen to shot the hole Place Down While we were still there. Took all the tables in and turn the ligths out. Never again

I had a soup of the day and a mushroom risotto, both vegan. The visual presentation of the dishes was lovely, served on nice plates. The soup of the day was mushroom soup, which was reasonable but didn't blow me away. It was served with about 10 or less croutons, and I could have done with more, but I guess it didn't overpower the otherwise very weak-flavoured soup. The vegan version of the truffle risotto was very disappointing. The chef's idea of veganising a dish is simply removing non-vegan ingredients, rather than replacing/reimagining them. So the cheese was removed from my dish, and as a result I got a disproportionately smaller portion than my non vegan dinner companion's. Not having vegan cheese in my dish could have been forgivable (although serving less food to a woman should be cardinal sin), if good quality stock had been used for the risotto, but it proved to be rather watery and the rice slightly overcooked. It is rare when I need to apply salt and pepper to dishes to make them palatable, but sadly this time I had to commit this crime.

I was disappointed when our waiter asked for a tip on top of the statutory tip included in the bill. He explained that he didn't received anything from my credit card tip! It spoiled a perfect evening out. Ponti's... please reward your waiters for their hard work!

Lovely Italian restaurant near Oxford Circus The food we had was very enjoyable we decided to share a starter then have a main course each unfortunately the Starter and The Main Courses all turned up at the same time which was a bit odd. Small mistake on their part but would not stop us going back.

Best Italian restaurant in central London, their pesto pasta was amazing can’t wait to visit again. Update- Visited again for the pesto, they’ve changed the menu so it was different (more creamier) from the last time but the food is just as good, definitely on the list of my go to’s for a meal now.

Main course was lovely. Took ages to get water apparently they had run out of water jugs. Wanted salted caramel, hazelnut, coconut ice cream. They had run out of all them. This was at 6.00 in the evening. Would we go back, only as a second resort

A fabulous meal. The service was very quick and efficient but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The restaurant is very well placed near the Palladium where we were going after our meal. The food was delicious. Can definitely recommend the Italian Burger and the Pizza.

Both starters and mains were severed together without even asking or telling in advance while ordering. Was a bit weird, although they were apologetic when I told them.

Don't burn the pizzas. Do not give the burnt pizza to the customer. do your job properly..

The service was wonderful. Bread Basket was amazing.. Kids menu was good value for money.. Decent sized portions on the kids meals, but way too much cheese on the pizza.. Even for a margarita, it was too much. Soft drinks expensive, but it is central London, so expected.. Alcohol prices as expected. Main dishes are really expensive for what you get and not great.. Lasagne had very little lasagne, but full of tomato sauce, far too much cheese and was very small.. I am not a big eater and it wasn’t enough for me.. The beef ragu dish was very small and bland.. The 4 stars is purely for the bread basket & service.. Otherwise it’d have been a 3..

We asked for a jug of water for the table, no water came. When we asked again later for the water they said there was no jugs. So just bring us 4 classes. My wife ordered an espresso martini and there was only half a glass of it when it came. We asked for another and the second one came all froth no actual drink. Our food came before all our drinks arrived. I had to ask them again for my drink. And again we had to ask for water and when it came there was only 2 glasses yet four of us seated. There was no pepper in either of the pepper grinders on the table, so again we had to ask for that. Yet the food came rapido, like they were trying to get people in and out on a conveyor belt. Really disappointing as we’d been before and had a lovely experience

Tonight I went to dinner with my daughter. We were served by a waitress named Teresa, who was super attentive and friendly at work.... and the food was amazing.

I ordered the Linguine al Granchio, and was surprise when it came out. I didn’t see any photos on Google when looking, but the presentation was 10/10! The food was drag, hot, and so delicious! Loved it! If you like crab, you’ll love this dish!

One of my trusted favourites but discovered there is no set menu in December which was disappointing. I had lasagne but burned my hand on the red hot handle. The lasagne was okay but not as good as usual (hardly any meat/smooth texture, small portion for over £20). Service was barely there. Not sure I will hurry back. Market Halls nearby is not as fancy but cheaper and the food is better.

Buzzy popular Italian restaurant at Oxford Circus. Extensive menu. Food always good. Friendly staff. Enjoyed happy hour drinks - make sure you ask for the menu. Will go again.

For a central London restaurant, off the main hub of a busy Oxford Street, it was great to find a place that serves tasty food. It's also family friendly. I've been here three times now, either for lunch meetings or with the family. The starters are excellent, especially the truffle arancini. Lots of veg and fish options too. Recommend the salmon pasta. Going again tonight in a big group, before we see the Christmas lights.

Wonderful restaurant, good food, great atmosphere. Within 5 minutes of being seated we had been attended to by 3 members of staff, all of whom were attentive, welcoming & good fun. We had booked a pre-show table & were limited for time but service was extremely quick. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Second time we've been here. It's a lovely place to go to. Our waiter (Ifti) was a great guy, very attentive. Only criticisms is that my plate & my Calzone should have been warmer - both were on the cool side. Still, nice tasting food & lovely atmosphere.

Ponti is a great place to eat either bench tables and booth seating by window. The only observation I can make is the pasta is only spaghetti, linguine. There should be more penne fusili etc. Dog friendly if you have an assistance dog

Spaghetti bolognese lacked any flavour, even when complemented with copious amounts of Parmesan cheese and chilli flakes. Similarly the green salad was bland - thankfully saved by some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Salmon was also rather tasteless, lacked seasoning. House Red wine was very good as were the desserts, though the crème brûlée was a tad too sweet. The service from the waiting staff was excellent.

We were greeted by a wonderful waiter who enthusiastically helped us to select excellent choices!!!! The food was outstanding; we loved it all. Convinced that we could enjoy even more, we decided on dessert. It did not disappoint! We are so glad that we visited on our way to the Palladium.

Service was a bit patchy, and we had to work quite hard to get our waiter's attention. Food was delicious though! Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, with fairy lights all around. But no soft furnishings means it was also quite loud, and we could hear plates and pots belong clanged in the kitchen

This spot always comes through for a last-minute Friday night table! It’s Oxford Street so it’s busy but they’ll still find a spot for you. We skipped starters and went straight to mains—-I got the linguine al granchio, super fresh with a light, creamy sauce and my friend had the slow-cooked beef short ribs which were rich and full of flavor. Perfect with our wine even though it was more medium than full-bodied like they said (still no complaints) . Dessertwise, the tiramisu was okay but the creme brulee ? Best I’ve ever had! Wrapped it up with some mint tea because we were stuffed. Honestly, 10/10 for the Italian vibes.

Visited this restaurant for breakfast, and loved it! They offer freshly made and healthy food choices, hot drinks and even smoothies. Suitable for early business meeting, family breakfast or simply friends meet up. My Eggs Royal were beautiful and runny 👌

The service was not adequate, waiter very confussed. Once food started arriving, we challenged one of the starters as incorrect, we were said twice that was correct, and 10 minutes late finally they noticed the error and brought us the correct one. Two of the mains were of very bad quality, staff confirmed that indeed for one of those they have received 3 complaints the same day. We were there before, quality was good, but after this experience will for sure never come back

First off, this is a great restaurant. The staff are friendly, the ambience is nice and the food was outstanding. Unfortunately the service was very slow and we only managed to get a main course in the hour and a half we were there. We asked for a desert menu, and 15 minutes later, it still hadn't arrived. We had to leave at that point for a concert. Tge food was superb but we really wanted a desert.

I was a bit disappointed to say the least it felt like we were being rushed through and one of the staff asked whilst we were eating our starters shall he ask the chef to cook our mains I said no but sure enough the mains came before our starters were even cleared the man who I can only presume was the manager was a little abrupt our actual waiter who took our order for food and drinks was good and they sang happy birthday to my daughter. When we arrived though we had to wait over ten minutes before anyone came to take any order of drinks etc and in the end we had to wave over someone. The food was nice and it was a good vibe in the restaurant but certain elements of the service need to be improved. If I am going for dinner I don’t want to be rushed and made to feel they are pushing us out the door
