Osteria Dell'Angolo in City of London, Westminster

A far-fetched taste of Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, it made me taller. It was as bad as a pasta can be. I tasted the worst Tiramisu I have ever eaten here. Only the wine, bread and olive oil were good and we were satisfied :) the waiters were friendly, but it was not enough on its own. Don't waste your money, this place is very bad👎👎

Great food, lovely atmosphere but service wasn’t great. Our order was incorrect and the side didn’t arrive until our main was finished. We had also asked for Parmesan on our pasta but had to remind staff twice only for us to have finished our meal by the time they delivered.

The main course was not very tasty but the starter was very good. The set menu is a good way of delivering value for money

Great ambience but food flavour was there. We were excited to come but left disappointed. Staff really tried and were attentive.

Love every part of this place. The food is excellent, the service exceptional and the ambiance very inviting and comfortable. Wine selection is great. The restaurant supervisor is fantastic - great recommendations and just a wonderful person. Third time I’ve been there and will make this a regular place every time I am in London. You cannot go wrong. And the scallops were unbelievable. So tender and melt in your mouth. Can’t wait for my next trip back!!!

Eine authentische Osteria, nicht weit vom Parlament und der Westminster Abbey entfernt in eine ruhigen Gegend. Die Angebotenen Gerichte waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität und so, wie man es aus einer guten Osteria in Italien kennt. Die Weinauswahl hält einige positive Überraschungen bereit. Preislich für Londoner Verhältnisse angemessen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und unaufdringlich. Durch ein großes Fenster zwischen Gastraum und Küche kann man den Köchen beim Zaubern zusehen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Very good experience both food and atmosphere above the expectations.

We had a delicious meal and delightful evening. The staff were extremely helpful, especially as some of our party had some dietary restrictions. One small grumble: one of the main courses appeared to only consists of a few slices of meat, which was surprising; however, it was evidently very tasty and, as we ordered side dishes, not a problem.

Très bonne cuisine, cadre agréable et propre, personnel très agréable et professionnel, MAIS , nous avons été servis trop vite, entrées, plats, café en 45 minutes. On avait l’impression d’être dans une fabrique à sous”allez dépêchez vous et partez” dommage 😏

Food is okay but the prices aren’t justified with taste or portion sizes. Nothing was extraordinary. There are a couple of vegetarian options.

Food was tasty and subdued. Service was good and not rushed. Atmosphere was a bit odd walking in since they filled from back to front and it looked dead.

Lovely meal at this place. There aren’t enough pictures of the restaurant itself to give you an idea- it’s conservatively decorated but spacious and warm. Lots of Italians seem to dine here- so that’s an endorsement of sorts!

Three of us went to this lovely Italian Restaurant yesterday on the spur of the moment having got very wet and cold walking round Westminster. They immediately made us welcome and we had a wonderful bowl of their Lentil soup to warm us. We then enjoyed several drinks and coffee. This was a lunchtime time visit, the restaurant wasn't busy but it wasn't welcoming at all. Not having a booking we were made to feel like we shouldn't be there, could be because just about everyone else was male in a suit! The team rated the whole experience a 2, food not worth the price charged! I'm posting for all os us who don't wear suits and are looking for great food and good vibes!

A lovely Italian restaurant near Westminster Abbey. Been here a few times now and the food is consistently fabulous and authentic 🤩. Lovely service from the staff and quick too. Strange that there's no chicken base dishes on the menu. But still amazing!

We stopped in while visiting London on a Saturday evening. It was pretty quiet with the few with reservations by the kitchen while we were set up front. Though it was quiet, the service took a while to notice us at multiple points and I felt the food wasn't worth the price.

Es un restaurante italiano atractivo, bastante pequeño y bastante tradicional pero refinado que es claramente popular, ya que estaba lleno de gente esperando en el momento en que nos fuimos. Tiene un ambiente relajado, y el servicio fue profesional y amable. Tuvimos un par de platos de pasta y compartimos un postre, y todo estaba fresco, bien presentado y delicioso. La verdadera cocina italiana se mezcló con la experiencia y fantasía del chef jefe Demien y nos trajo por la bienvenida y el sabor - faire del gerente, Salvatore. Sin mencionar que la mayoría de los alimentos son hechos en casa por el personal de cocina o importados directamente de las fuentes en Italia. Lo mejor que puedes conseguir, sin romper el banco tampoco.

Lunch and dinner with a large group of friends. Osteria dell'Angolo never fails to amaze. It's the safe place for us at every London Trip. True Italian Cuisine mixed with the experience and fantasy of the Head Chef Demien and brought to us by the welcoming and savoir-faire of the Manager, Salvatore. Best you can get, without breaking the bank either.

Very good Italian restaurant about 10 minutes walk from St James's Park underground Station. We both had starters of seared scallops which were delicious. One of us followed with a red prawn tagliolini pasta dish and the other with grilled tuna both of which were very nice. We accompanied the meal with a couple of glasses of a good Italian white from the interesting and extensive wine list. Very friendly and helpful service in a pleasant setting.

I was really impressed with this restaurant. The service was excellent - very attentive yet unobtrusive and the food was very good indeed. Considering the location in the heart of central London, it was excellent value for money.

Perfect service, good quality food and workmanship, truly Italian restaurant, I didn't think I could eat an excellent caprese for dessert in London. During our stay in London we discovered this restaurant by chance and we were really happy with what they served us. Congratulations to all the staff and in particular to Salvatore, truly top notch.

Nous avons opté pour le spécial de la maison (plat qui n’est pas sur le menu) tagliatelles sauce champignons et saucisses. 133£ pour 1 entrée, 2 repas principaux, 1 bouteille de vin et un planche de fromage.. c’est une aubaine que vous ne regretterez pas !!

An excellent restaurant in the heart of Westminster. Food delicious, service excellent and a great wine list. It is nicely laid out so that it is relaxing and diners have plenty of space. Easy to chat as lively but not noisy

I had dinner at this restaurant in January 2024 with my girlfriend. I was in complete abstinence from pasta and Italian cuisine, so after a brief search in the Westminster area, I decided to give it a try. Absolutely satisfied, in addition to the pasta, we had the opportunity to eat a truly superb venison sirloin: the best dish I ate in London in my 5 day stay. Italians do It Better.

Always enjoyed this restaurant .Had the set menus this time starter and dessert fine but the main ,chicken was tough and overcooked .Service as usual was really good but we felt there had been cuts in quality understandably theses day s but sadly noticeable.Needs a bit of thought please .

I came here quite a few times already and what can I say that the service and the food is just amazing. Today we had a scalops as a starter, beef and lamb as a main. Meet was cooked perfectly and the quality is outstanding, no words, definitely will be coming back. The waiters are friendly and wellcoming. Highly recomend!

Been here a few times for lunch. Very hit & miss, which therefore does not justify its relatively high prices. Some dishes good, others very bland - particularly lacking in seasoning. Service is always excellent however.

I enjoyed my first meal at Osteria Dell'Angelo and would recommend it. Everything on our table of four was cooked well and presented beautifully. It was too hot and a little noisy at times, it isn't cheap and I wouldn't come here for vegan options, but the service was professional, the recommended wine was delicious. The seating comfortable which makes a nice change and the flavours clear. I felt my fish main course was a smaller helping than I'd expected, especially compared to my sister's tuna, and was slightly overdone, but other than that it was very good.

We arrived very late as they were about to close the kitchen, the staff was amazing, everyone was very kind. Great location, good food. Overall would recommend it

We had planned on stopping at a near-by pub, but it was extremely crowded, so we remembered seeing this restaurant a couple of days ago. Sweet mercy, I’m so glad we did. Everything was delicious-burrata with grilled vegetables and a cod dish that was served over an amazing tomato and bread dish. Great tiramisu for dessert with a moscato wine pairing. The staff couldn’t have been sweeter. This made a great end to a great day!

We chose this restaurant because it is close to the Tate where we were going for an exhibition, but what a find! The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant was modern and not overcrowded. It was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. Delicious and presented well and not expensive. We would certainly go again and recommend it. An excellent experience; thank you. It’s a long time since I found such a good restaurant where I wanted to return and thoroughly recommend it.

An excellent Italian restaurant on lovely Marsham Street.It is truly stylish, but still relaxed and authentic.This was our second visit after a wonderful dinner for our wedding anniversary in January, and the food, wine and service were all very impressive.This restaurant is also excellent value for money.

We had high expectations but the food was really not special, all ok, not very tasty or particularly good. The price is quite high. The service and atmosphere are good.

There were five of us having lunch before going on to the Tate Britain. I had sent msg ahead that we’d be a bit later than booked because of travelling into London problems. The welcome we received was friendly and courteous and the ambience and layout made us feel relaxed. The gentleman who looked after our table was extremely helpful and friendly and we could enjoy our lunch at our pace. I should say this was our first visit and we all sincerely hope we will go again.

My first time here. A real treat & charming happy genuine knowledgeable staff. I had just been to St John Smith Square to hear Baroque music & viewed the menu in Osteria as I passed by. It had soup! Yum. Still a little peckish after & hard to choose, but I had Pasta stuffed with beetroot & ricotta & pistachios crumbled on top. Couldn't manage a dessert. Thankyou, I hope to visit again. Quality & a good professional team.. Prices were a bit higher than I'd normally spend, but now & again..

My second time visiting Osteria dell’Angolo. This time the service was better than my first visit. The food is wonderful in flavor and presentation. I stayed in a hotel close to Parliament, so it was around a 15 minute walk, through beautiful streets. I highly recommend Osteria dell’Angolo for a pleasant dinning experience whilst in London.

Pleasant atmosphere overall but big disappointment in terms of value for money! Lots of fuss and very high prices to end up eating a very classic pasta dish. We felt like we were being scammed.

Very good shrimp carpaccio and home-made pasta, with beetroot as special ingredient. Excellent tiramisu. Very good wine list, plenty of Italian references. Good wines by the glass, including a good Sabazio. Nice grappa, rum and Porto selection. Excellent service and nice atmosphere. Only noise dirturbs a little bit when restaurant is full. Sound-proof ceiling would surely help to solve this problem. An excellent Italian restaurant in London city center. Absolutely recommended.

All "ok" as lunch time event. nothing memorable sadly. . Had starters...Burrata was fine , but needed a little salt which I had to ask for Bean soup was equally nothing to get excited about. The white wine ( Sicilian ) was very good indeed. Even the bread and olive oil was a little underwhelming. . . Not quite the Italian gourmet experience we had hoped for. Nice tea cups for a lovely pot of Earl Grey!! Oh , it's Italian!
