The best restaurants serving Italian food in East Midlands

Lovely restaurant with modern furnishings. Attentive and friendly staff. Only criticism is the calamari was rubbery. Gorgeous cocktails and the spaghetti and meatballs was delicious. Generous portions. Wouldnt hesitate to go back.

Great, intimate space with friendly staff. Had a wonderful hand stretched pizza and rocket and parmesan salad. One of the best I've had

Absolutely delicious food and very reasonably priced with helpful friendly and informed service. Every time we visit Mablethorpe we make sure we book a table at Gerardo’s - just fabulous!

Another visit to one of our favourite restaurants. As usual the food was excellent. Filetto Rosetti and Linguine Carbonara, both cooked to perfection and with beautiful presentation. Desert of tiramisu and a nicely presented cheese board, Full marks to Rosettis and the team.

The meal was indeed delicious but a little oily at the restaurant. We were served by a waiter named, Louis who was friendly and kind throughout our time there. Thanks for the wonderful dining experience ;)

Look to be quite honest, any Uber or pizza place which doesn’t take the restaurant off the app and still takes your money is a super disgrace lost a lot of respect for this place and word-of-mouth is karma in a nutshell.

Popped in on the off chance one weekday evening. It's been a while since we ate here but the food, the service and the ambience were still as good as it ever was. A wide ranging menu covering all the Italian classics as well as some other options, La Fonte give you the opportunity to return time and again without repeating your orders. Polite, gracious service and very tasty food made us glad we chose to visit. They also do take away food. Bookings at certain times are a good idea as it is often busy when walking past (esp. on Friday and Saturday evenings).

Absolutely delicious sandwiches. Lovely fresh ingredients. Generous portions. Great value. And the best hot chocolate ever!

Today 10/8/2024 we were on our way to Mablethorpe to enjoy a family holiday and some time out after my husband sadly losing his beloved grandma 4 weeks prior. We unfortunately broke down just outside of Lincoln, luckily we were fixed by the AA back on the road within a couple of hours. Great we thought! not 32 miles later the car breaks down AGAIN! Luckily for us, just outside the lovely Bambarinos Italian restaurant! What was an extremely stressful day was made to feel a little bit easier by the kind and generous people here! Giving myself and hubby tea and coffee and my children pizza and chips free of charge. Thank you so much, it’s nice to know there’s still kind and genuine people in the world. Went to the Ropers with friends ..our first visit. Situated along the River in Horncastle Road Boston, The Ropers is an old pub now converted into an Italian Bistro. The manager was very friendly, and welcoming., and offered us home made crisps which were so delicous. Sadly my meal didn’t live up to the high expectation l had. My tempura prawns were all batter and hardly any prawn..not very nice at all.My chicken in mushroom main coarse was quite tough as Infact was my wife’s steak. Sadly a rather disappointing visit.

Parked outside with a disabled badge and one of the workers came out and started having a go at me along with her partner who had just dropped her off. Not a very nice to think not only do these type of people work in Swadlincote but really puts off customers thinking of trying the restaurant in the future.

WoW: Lovely venue, great service with outstanding food... ...We visited this 'gem' of a restaurant and was warmly welcomed, shown to our table in the themed restaurant ...Then the chef and staff looked after our every need. We had an amazing steak cooked personally for us, with the cuts explained, steaks cooked individually, and the entire evening much enjoyed ...Congratulations to Chef Noureddine Lakbichy, and the OneTEAM 👏 👏 👍 👌

Went for family meal, it was lovely, staff friendly and food very good. Steak cooked as I asked for and pasta gorgeous. We need to support local restaurants and bars and this one is a keeper

I can't believe I haven't been to this restaurant before, despite having lived in Louth all my life. It was definitely worth the wait, as it offers a very authentic Italian experience with great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We had Arancini and pizzas, which were excellent. The meal was great value for money. We treated ourselves to a bottle of wine from the superb choices available. We went for the Sangiovese, which was delicious and not overpriced. We also found out that they offer a 20% discount during lunch. I can't wait to return and I'm now recommending it to all our friends!

My second recent visit here, the first being 2 of us, last night was 11 of us for a friends special birthday. Liaising with pre-orders was great but flexible for the birthday girl to order on the day. The food was all really good and came together, my calamari starter was one of the best I have had and my King Prawns were massive. Little touches like storing the birthday cake for us went the extra steps. Staff were really friendly. I will be back
