First time here and the best meal out we have had in ages. Lovely little restaurant. Gorgeous food. Outstanding service from our waitress Michele from beginning to end and from all the team too Will definitely go back again and tell others to visit.

Not a single thing I could fault. Was with my partner for the Valentines Day menu, choices were really good, portions were perfect, service was great. Felt like proper family run, homemade food. Highly recommend.

Booked in for the first time for a table of two at 6pm and was greeted warmly by the staff. Cosy and simple inside with great Italian music in the background. Tables spaced nicely so you weren’t on top of each other and could have a conversation Without feeling like you had to whisper. Offered drinks straight away while we looked at the menu. I love the fact the menu has plenty to choose from without having choices for the sake of it. Was difficult to choose as everything was appealing. We shared the arancini starter which came out piping hot and was a great start to meal. I had the slow cooked beef in peppercorn sauce rigatoni. Very filling and creamy. Perfect! The garlic bread side was large and more than I expected. My partner had the spicy sausage pizza, perfectly cooked and being Italian got a huge seal of approval. Service was spot on, food was delicious , atmosphere perfect. We couldn’t fault anything here and will definitely make this a regular restaurant. Well worth a visit!

We have eaten in the restaurant and have ordered takeaway and every time food was excellent even when they messed up order of garlic bread and got additional pizza they were willing to deliver the garlic bread and extra pizza for free. Not many own up to mistakes and they wanted to go extra mile to satisfy me but didn't allow them to as the service they were willing to do for just garlic bread was enough for me and highly recommend either dine in or take out. There’s a reason this little gem has a high rating on Google maps and that rating is well deserved. We called for a reservation on a Saturday and they could just fit us in when they opened at 5pm. We were there 10mins early and there was a queue to get in. Once in we were greeted warmly and seated without fuss. The menu is big enough for a nice choice but not bewilderingly extensive. We went for the soup of the day (the creamiest and most delicious mushroom soup we have ever tried) and an order of fried mozzarella to feed my cheese addiction (not exactly adventurous but when you gotta have cheese…..). Our mains were the lobster ravioli and the chicken pasta with Gorgonzola sauce. Both were spot on for flavour and obviously freshly made. The ravioli was bursting with flavour and the portion was just right, not too big but big enough the satiate one’s appetite. The chicken was tender and the sauce was creamy with a beautiful underlying taste of Gorgonzola, not over powering, just right. We ended with a perfect cappuccino and a shared slice of home made tiramisu. We will definitely be back as this was a perfect meal with authentic ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere. 10/10

Loved the atmosphere and the food. Not a great selection if you are a fussy eater but the staple basics of bolognese and lasagne are there if needed. Quality of the food is amazing and the mixture of flavours perfect for any palette. Service was really fast, the staff really friendly and accommodating of any questions. If you want a superb quality Italian meal at a great price, you can't go wrong with Salvatore's. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

A lovely, cosy Italian restaurant in Finedon open on Sunday afternoons. The food was very tasty and the service was great. Sophie & Michele were friendly hosts and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We will certainly return to enjoy another great dining experience.

We come to this restaurant for the first time because of the reviews, we didn't mind the poor service, we didn't mind the tiny location we just come for the food....because we love italian food which was poorly done and didn't meet expectations at all. We ordered 4 types of pasta and none of them was good, sorry guys I do not recommend

Can't fault this incredibly welcoming and atmospheric authentic Italian restaurant. What a lovely place. Went with good friends for a social evening and we really enjoyed all our courses from the starters to the dessert. The pizzas are amongst the best we have eaten, including in Italy! And having two Italians in our party, who are very big foodies, this is exceptional feedback from them, (and rare 😂). The Italian music was very nostalgic and took then back a few years too! 💃 The service was really friendly and accommodating with my food intolerances. Expect food to be cooked from fresh and when busy it will take time to get to your table, enjoy the moment, drink and chat with your guests - Italian time. We had a fab evening and will be back soon. Really recommend this lovely restaurant. Well done to the owners and staff 👏👏

Went at a quiet time around 5pm Sunday after Christmas. Soon started to fill up. Delicious food all 5 of us enjoyed! 4 starters and 5 mains. 3, happy adults, a 16 year old and an 11 year old. All very happy after meal 😊

Missing food, dishes spilled and over 2 hours from time of order to delivery

Friday night is my traditional pizza treat night. The perfect pizza is important for me to enjoy the end of a hard working week. Since moving to Finedon we have used Salvatores for home delivery and every time the pizza is bang on. Never over or under cooked, the best dough and thickness and always generous with the toppings. Occasionally we go to the restaurant to really treat ourselves and its always a nice experience. Can't recommend enough! Recently visited the restaurant again, and to be honest, they are now really hitting out of the park! The steak is outstanding 👌

Wow, oh wow! Heard good reviews of this place on media. I knew of it, but never ever been. Booked online for a Wednesday night. Arrived, and on first sight, it was looking good. Downstairs area with around 12 tables and a lovely booth area. Really nice decor and homely feeling. Greeted with a lovely smile from the young girl serving. As soon as we sat, we just knew the food was going to be amazing. Service and atmosphere were awesome. Great menu as well. We opted for prawn cocktail and calamari starters. Chicken dish and penne pasta with chicken followed. Absolutely delicious! We loved everything about this place. It was busy and not hectic. Everyone was served shortly after ordering. Will we be returning, we certainly will. Loved it!

Our first visit to Salvatore's and it won't be our last. Great food and service. Our fillet steak was cooked to perfection as was the rest of our food. All cooked at point of ordering.

Superb Italian home cooking at its best, the only problem is parking

This small restaurant provides some of the best Italian food I've tasted in England. The dough of the bread, was typical Italian, with a nice and airy texture to it. I ordered fish of the sea pasta in a cheese and white wine sauce. The prawns, calamari, and mussels, with fresh, juicy and full of flavour. It was an enjoyable dish to eat. A couple of bottles of scillian wine and lemocello, washed it all down nicely. It has a nice, relaxing atmosphere, with attentive staff, who provide excellent service. We will be back!

We had a surprise 40th Birthday on Saturday 5th October. The owner was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were ever so lovely and really helpful with getting the orders for drinks. A party can be stressful to organise especially paying the bill, however there wasn't any errors and the staff calculated everything fantastically. All the guests loved the food and we never had any faults with the food. Everyone raved about the food and how it was all organised. I'll definitely organise another party here all and definitely would come again. Salvatore's is always our place for date nights before.

Discovered this gorgeous resturant just recently. I and my sister were simply blown away by the quality of food here. This is true authentic Italian cuisine at it's best. I had the Seafood linguine " fruits of the sea" and boy did it sing! Full of contextual textures oozing out original flavours cradled in a blanket of creamy sauce. I think l can honestly put it up there amongst the best. My sister had the Chichen carbonara, well I'm pretty sure that's what she had. Tasting this was also a beautiful experience. Such a fine balance of flavours caressing a perfectly cooked chichen breast which had been able to hold onto its gorgeous flavour without being murdered!, why do so many places believe they have to cook to death meat? The sweets were authentic and not small either. All in all please pay this resturant your interest. You'll not be disappointed. The staff were lovely and attentive without being intrusive Cant be bad can it. For not a lot of money. Reading through some of the reviews, l can only conclude were talking about two different venues. There like chalk and cheese. K

Best Italian food I ever had, tried the fettuccine al frutti di mare, carbonara, pollo al gorgonzola and their home made tiramisu as well. Definitely going there again.

Food was ok, dough was dry tomato sauce to skinny and toppings a bit skinny ingredients not great overall. Bit disappointed given the hype, looks like the train already left flavour town

I would have to say, this is one of the best Italian Restaurants in the area and more than competitively priced for the excellent quality food on offer. We both had 3 courses, my wife had 2x non alcoholic cold drinks, I had one IPA. Total price was £78. Starters were Polpette, which was beautifully done and totally more-ish. My Chicken Gorgonzola was totally sublime and well presented. My Wife went for a Chicken in white wine sauce with mushrooms. Both were beautiful, tasty and ultimately filling. My Wife chose 3x different flavoured scoops of ice cream which she thoroughly enjoyed. I finished with a biscoff cheesecake which was equally sublime. This meal was for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary. The venue is local to us and was an excellent choice. Service was equally good considering how busy they were.

I'm in love with the Salvatore's restaurant! Always delicious, fresh, Italian food of great quality! We come here for dates or to celebrate important moments and I have never been disappointed. The staff is very nice and helpful. The prices are really very good. I highly recommend it! Must try!

Family get together & thought we would give Salvatore's a go based on reviews. It didnt start well as it was quite chilly in there with two of our group keeping coats on! Once seated the first thing out of the waiting staff mouths was not to greet us but to tell us there was no steak as it had all been ordered, this was at 8pm!! Shame but we got on with looking at them menu. The group ordered a variety of starters & main course of chicken dishes, pizzas & pasta which pretty much covers the menu minus the steak of course. All drinks were bottles & at £4.25 for a small bottle of Peroni/Moretti we consumed a fair few bottles. Someone had a pink G&T which they didn't like or drink. The red wine was pleasant. We waited an absolute age for our starters 45mins!! Which were all fine & consumed readily as we were all hungry by this point. The main meals were not so delayed and the pizzas & pastas were delicious. The three chicken dishes were a different story. The chicken was moist, the white wine cream sauce was a thick yellow congealed sauce obviously made with a sweet wine & over reduced, red onions, mushrooms & no seasoning. Supposedly served with vegetables- just potatoes £25 approx. The chicken dish with honey & marsalla wine sauce was inedible as it was all covered in sauce & too sweet to eat. We understand marsalla wine is a sweet wine but it should be edible. We were offered a replacement but it would have taken too much time again. In the end they charged us half price for it! We decided not to part with more money for deserts here as although we had had fun it was all very disappointing to be honest & thanked our lucky stars they had sold out of steak £30. We had coffees & even they were a disaster, the liqueur coffee came black, the normal white coffees came with milk & not cream & a tea with no milk. It's a small, very basically decorated cafe that does pizza & pasta well & I suspect it's reviews are based on this & not the more expensive meat dishes. We all agreed we would call in again for a pizza/pasta & beer after work but thats about it im afraid.

Party of 15, once the main meal was served, we didn't see a staff member ,until they decided to change the table that became unoccupied in preparation for another seating. Had to ask 3 times for take away boxes ,so we could take home pizza and carbonara that we hadn't managed to eat. For over half an hour we waited for some small plates, cutlery and a knife to cut the birthday cake, which was known to the staff (birthday meal) because the meal was booked prior to attending with a deposit paid. We found the service slow and under attentive,except for one comment that one of the waitresses made to a family member which upset and distressed them. The food was nice, venue was good, but staff let the experience down.

Have been wanting to come here fie some time. Came for daughter's birthday lunch. The beef (filetto caterina) was to die for, and the chicken in white wine and mushroom sauce was lovely. However found the sauce fir the penne arrabiata to be too sweet (as if loads of sugar had been added). Thus was our first time. Such a shame.

Family meal out on Saturday 20th April. Parking is not a problem in and around the restaurant. Not the restaurant for disabled or for someone who struggles with stairs as the Toilets are up some steep stairs. Tables were nicely set out and lots of room upstairs also. I opted for a starter of Polpette (italian meat balls in sauce) and the wife opted for the Bruschetta topped with tomatoes and onions and my brother in law had the Calamari. The meat balls were nicely cooked and very tasty and the sauce was rich and sweet. My wifes Bruschetta was tasty and fresh but the bread could have been a little more toasted for my wife`s liking, but the starters were fresh and tasty. Service was a little slow but it was very busy and the staff were attentive and friendly, so we could excuse this for a small restaurant. The choice of mains is plentiful and i opted for Spaghetti al Ragu with extra sauce and my wife had the Penne Arrabiata, and my sister the Pizza and brother in law had the King Prawns Gamberi. The spaghetti and sauce were delicious, fresh and very filling. The Arrabiata was also tasty and sauce lovely but could have been more spicy. My sister said the Pizza was delicious as was the King Prawn gamberi. The staff explained when we arrived that they had run out of Steak because of a large party earlier on, but luckily only 1 of my sisters wanted the steak. My other brother in law opted for the Pollo Marsala, but said it was overly sweet, but the manager was very nice and gave a reduction for this meal as it wasnt all eaten. My other 2 sisters didnt like their meal with potatoes as the white wine sauce was overly thick Overall a nice restaurant with friendly staff, fresh tasty food. The beer selection limited and a tad expensive, would like to see other beers available and no Malibu or Tia Maria, which my wife wanted. Selection of cocktails available, and good choice of coffees. We were too full to go for a desert but what i did see looked really tasty.

Our first visit to Salvatore's and it is a lovely restaurant with a diverse uncomplicated menu. The food was absolutely delicious from the starters to the mains. The pizzas are so good (proper pizzas) and the pasta dishes are delicious. It is not cheap but it is very good, set in a lovely village location. When we were there they were two staff short and the restaurant was quite busy, so the wait between starter and main course was a bit longer than I would have liked, but it was worth the wait. The staff are lovely and really friendly. Salvatore's is well worth the visit and we will definitely go again. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine.

I went here yesterday for the valentines day special and can say it was amazing! Ot was a set menu but there was a lot to choose from and can say with some confidence that anything on the menu would be good. The Bruschetta was the best I have ever had, it was perfect! Really friendly staff and just a great atmosphere. You can park anywhere outside on the street, so I wouldn't worry about parking.

Last year was great. This year, what a complete turnaround. Not organised at all. Writing this whilst we wait for our main course. Booked in for 1930hrs. Arrived 5 mins early. Finally took orders and drinks at 2005hrs. Arrived at 2015hrs. Starters were OK but not amazing. One small mushroom; should've been at least 2. Part of a mese but still. Its to share. It's now 2100hrs and still waiting! Oh it's just arrived (2105hr) Looks great but we'll see..... Home now. Yeah, mains were nice. Mrs had steak with seasonal veg. Must only be potatoes in season as not much else. 4 shrivelled green beans. Cleared away the plates and dessert came after 2 mins! Wtf? Again, biscoff cheesecake was OK but not homemade. Overall; food was OK but service was slow to non existent. Nothing to signify valentines except the heart chocs that came with the bill. No flowers on tables or anything. Not even offered coffee or digestifs. What a shame, but won't be back. Nearly walked out and went for a takeaway.

First time ordering - heard it was a nice restaurant with good food - which was proven correct. Used to go to school with Mikelle - glad he’s doing well in life. I asked for an off the menu pizza ‘pimento pimento’ - was absolutely spot on and exactly how I remembered it tasting. Great food.

Lovely. Pizza dough soft but just the wright crisp on the edge. First time using salvatories but won’t be the last.

Fillet steaks recently added to the menu are delicious- a good size and perfectly cooked to taste. Roast chicken in white wine sauce tender and appetising. The Biscoff cheesecake is to die for as is the banofee pie! Great service and friendly atmosphere. Thank you.

Spaghetti and meatballs were not great. The meat was fatty and the sauce was overly sweet.

Food was good. Portion size was generous to the extent of needing doggy bags to bring pizza home and some of the desert. The service by very friendly staff. The only downside of the evening was it was a little slow between courses. I would certainly consider going again.

Can't comment on the atmosphere as never eaten in. Have had a few takeaways from here. One of the best pizzas around.

What a lovely restaurant. I was here with my sisters by recommendation and I must say we were not disappointed. As people that have lived in Italy for years, we knew what to expect and it exceeded our expectations. The Fritto Misto sharer was divine, the carbonara was to die for!!! We couldn't stop talking about. We will definitely be returning. The service was also a top notch. In all, we were very pleased with everything!

We booked the restaurant for my Partners 60th on Tuesday night when the restaurant is normally closed. However they opened up for us and we had the best night ever. Food was amazing and staff were exceptional. Perhaps we shouldn't have had the lemonchello afterwards as our heads were a little sore in the morning but we had the best night. Thank you so much.

Just returned from a wonderful meal at Salvator’s Restaurant tonight after we made a last minute reservation. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and fairly priced. Atmosphere was lovely and friendly, we got talking to several different couples while we were there and people seemed to know each other. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended authentic Italian food.

Lovely food all around, good attentive service and can recommend the seafood pasta.

We did not have a good experience, to start with the staff seems to be not interested when pointed out that the olives got mould and said that they checked with the chef and the chef said that it’s the seasoning. The fritto misto was tasteless had no seasoning whatsoever.

We went for a date night dinner and had a great evening. 80s Italian music was played, together with the red walls and lovely decor, the place had a spot on Mediterranean feel. The portions were way bigger than what we expected by looking at the online photos beforehand. Pizza was perfect and the carbonara divine.

Ordered the vegan pizza with sausage, it specifies vegan mozzarella (person ordering is allergic to milk). Turned up just sauce and toppings no vegan cheese. Wouldn’t usually mind but they rang regarding the order and still messed it up

We had a family birthday here at lunchtime the food was fantastic. The one girl who was serving us struggled to keep up with bringing out the food so we could eat at the same time they needed another waiter other wise it would be 5star
