Rocco's in Wellingborough

We would not eat Italian food anywhere else, Rocco and Gill are great hosts and the food is superb, my partner and myself went to Rome 3 years ago and I can honestly say that the food at Rocco’s is better than any restaurant we visited there. Just try it once and I guarantee you will be back for more.

A cosy and friendly restaurant. A great choice of dishes on their menu. We had a delicious starter, which came piping hot and the sane with main. The food is authentic and delicious. Friendly owners, good service, definitely worth a visit.

I’ve visited Rocco’s a number of times and enjoyed countless take-outs also. Most recently I ate there as part of a large family gathering. Our party received a warm welcome and the food was outstanding, as always! I ordered the pizza but there was much on the menu that I wanted to try. It won’t be long until I return to sample some of the pasta others in my group had ordered. This is a fantastic restaurant, an absolute gem, and I recommend it highly.

We visited as a family of 10 including 4 children. Upon entering we were made to feel extremely welcome and the service was prompt. The food and wine is absolutely fantastic, great taste and generous portions, with a few members of the party having what they couldn’t finish boxed up to take home. The owners interacted brilliantly with the children creating a great family atmosphere. I look forward to returning!

We had another great meal here, which was ages ago now. We would have had another, but it has been closed since March! Our food and drink was great, and there were no hairs in any of it - particularly the lemonade!! We would love to eat here again, but as it has been closed ever since our last visit, we haven't been able to. And neither has anyone else for that matter! Heres to it reopening soon!

My meal at rocos was ok , but when the brought me my lemonade I couldn’t help but notice a hair floating around in my drink , I picked it out and carried on though , highly recommend

My daughter and I visited Rocco's for the first, but certainly not the last, time one evening earlier this week. We knew as soon as we entered we were going to have some good food from the delightful smell of fresh 'home' cooking. We were made to feel very welcome and immediately felt relaxed. The background music was appropriate and not too loud. The decor as you would find in a small Italian restaurant. The food lived up to our expectations in every way. Rocco and his wife are lovely people and great hosts. Thank you to you both.

Celebrated with my family for my Dads 75th here and had an amazing meal. Food was exceptional and the service A1. My wife is dairy allergic and they couldn’t have been any more accommodating, special options for her but no compromise on quality or taste. 100% would go here again. The highlight for me was the starter options that were amazing.

Decided to try out the takeaway Pizza as a mid week treat. We were not disappointed! When I went to collect the order, I was greeted by who I believe were the owner’s, who were extremely welcoming and friendly. We had ordered the Americano pizza and the ham and mushroom. Both Pizza’s were delightful, we will most definitely be returning

We moved into a new area 2 years ago and came across Roccos Restaurant and thought we would go for a meal. We have returned to Rocco's many times since then,and we have never had a bad meal. Rocco and his wife Jill make you very welcome.

Visiting friends in Raunds and was told they had a new Vegan friendly menu at Rocco's. So decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. We had the pasta dish from the Vegan menu where we could even choose the ingredients...a great added bonus! Well cooked and tasted superb. Great atmosphere, very welcoming too. Would highly recommend for any visiting Vegan to the area 👌🌱 To add...dessert menu could be bigger but they did say if you call in advance they will organise something more...which is great service!

Visited Roccos last night with two friends. Food was awesome, the pizzas are so delicious, and the garlic knots, awsome! Lovely atmosphere and great value for money. A great asset to raunds having this great restaurant 😁

Myself, my husband and two of our friends decided to eat here not long after moving to the area and had heard very good things about this particular restaurant. It is set on the main road which isn't a problem although not wheelchair friendly from what I could gather - unless there is a rear entrance which can be used in this instance? The restaurant was busy - we visited on a Saturday evening. Inside was very cosy, and the theme suited the restaurant. Tables are quite close together so if your after a private conversation this place isn't for you! Staff are very friendly & accommodating. Food was wholesome and filling but it was nothing to rave about. Would I eat here again? Yes if someone invited me - not off my own recommendations.

The Pizzas we had were very plain, the Olives served as a starter were obviously cheap ones. The house wine also tasted very cheap and we were charged £15!!!Not impressed.

Seriously awful... we got asked to leave as one of children are autistic and when i burst into tears and my husband asked for an apology the owner said hes better off sorted to McDonald's. This isnt a family resturant its disgrace!!

Visited for my friend's birthday and we absolutely loved it. It is really quaint and has really delicious, authentic Italian food on offer.

Visited for the first time and certainly won’t be the last. Lovely small, friendly, independent restaurant. Reasonable prices, very drinkable house red, good portions and food delicious. So hard to pick what I wanted so need at least 20 more visits to get through my shortlist! The calzone was an epic sight! Pasta perfectly cooked. Certainly going to be a regular on our nights out list.

Great meal which all the family enjoyed.great atmosphere and lovely people cooking and serving. No concerns from staff even though there were three separate parties of people all served and our food was really good. Will go again soon.

I was pleasantly surprised on entering this establishment, as it really does not look much from the street. But as i had heard good things, and it is local to us, we gave it a try. And we are glad we did. The welcome was warm, the food tasty, the atmos convivial, and the house wine more than drinkable. And the bill for 3 courses for 3 people + drinks coming in comfortably under £80 topped the night off. All in all, it was a very nice evening all round. And we got another place on our 'eats out' list to return to.

First visit to Rocco’s last week and it was a very good one. It is an intimate restaurant and we received a warm welcome. The menu is fairly extensive and we chose the garlic prawns and mushrooms as starters. Both dishes were more than adequate but the former, I thought, was a little overpriced. We chose a bottle of house red and this was excellent value and very smooth. Water was provided throughout the meal, something we always appreciate. We both chose pasta dishes, with chicken-one with mushrooms, the other with prawns. These were generous portions, very tasty and piping hot.

Good authentic Italian food, friendly and efficient staff, clean and tidy - what more can you want? It isn’t large, but that helps keep it ‘cosy’. Give it a try.

We were in Raunds to meet our nephew and his new wife, as we had been to ROCCO's on our last visit there was no other place to go. Lovely friendly atmosphere, Good choice of home cooked food while you wait for it to be freshly prepared.We had a lovely evening at this restaurant again.

Always friendly with fresh piping hot food, sensible prices, great Pizzas and Pasta, particularly the hotter Calabrian Arabiattas! Our favourite venue for a local Trattoria style casual Italian dining with great service.

First visit for my wife’s birthday - quite simply it was a really good and tasty meal , a very friendly welcome and although we were the only ones in early service was excellent

Our party consisted of 13, whose ages ranged from 5 to 70 years of age, so a diverse group as you can see. It was to celebrate my coming of age, sorry my retirement having reached that magical age of 65.

Was a toss up between Indian or Italian last night and I pushed for the Italian.

Superb meal, freshly cooked, staff were very polite, Restaurant clean and cosy, a very homely setting, would definitely recommend.

We booked a table at Rocco's at 7pm on a Saturday night. We arrived twenty minutes early as we'd walked, and it was cold outside. Once inside we were greeted warmly and it was no trouble to be seated at our table earlier than 7pm. Drinks were brought to the table quickly and the service from Gill was excellent. You are all made very welcome and nothing is any trouble. We went to celebrate our daughters 6th birthday and we all had a lovely meal.

I have visited this bistro many times and it never fails to impress me, warm welcome, good choices in pizzas or pasta. Very friendly staff, good cooking by Rocco, home made cheesecake that makes here my favourite Italian. Whether you are looking for an romantic meal for two, or a place to meet up with friends, this is a place to head for.

Dropped in on spec. we thought what a good find, good atmosphere, good food, good wine. If you like Italian food and you are in the area this is a must.

Just got back off holiday and we needed a nice meal to make our holiday complete we went to Roccos in Raunds a lovely little restaurant that serves a meal all freshly made to order all beautifully cooked ,Rocco makes food that his mama taught him I always enjoy the pasta dishes and very tasty desserts both Rocco and his wife Jill always make us feel so welcome and nothing is to much trouble and will change or add to the meal if you want , the prices are also very reasonable with specials on a Wednesday night though they only open Wednesday ,Thursday , Friday and Saturday nights and I would recommend booking to reserve a table and they do takeaway as well .

Excellent family run Trattoria, Italian home style cooking always good food and friendly service. Grand Children love Rocco's Pizzas and we always love coming here!

Mi marido y yo descubrimos este encantador restaurante poco hace como 4 años cuando nos mudamos cerca. El personal no podría haber sido más acogedor y agradable, el menú ofrecía una fantástica selección de platos de pasta y pizza (recomiendo las gambas grandes en salsa de ajo para empezar) y el chef apareció para ver varias veces para asegurarse de que todo estaba a nuestro gusto. Hemos ido muchas veces desde nuestra primera visita, teniendo la familia y los amigos que todos estamos de acuerdo que es un gran lugar. Muy agradable de encontrar un restaurante que garantiza una gran noche.

Paid our first visit to Rocco's.A really nice bistro-like small restaurant.We ordered the minestrone soup with the 'famed' garlic knots then I had the Marinara and my wife had the Lasagne. Followed by cheesecake and tirimasu and coffees.All the food was excellent and the ambience was good and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again.My only negative comment would be was that I found the chair a bit hard and was getting pins and needles in my ... but a very enjoyable evening.

After researching venues to eat at in Raunds, I settled on Rocco's based on the great reviews I'd read. I was not let down.The environment here is rustic and intimate, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is lovely.Dishes here are clearly prepared with love, presented well and very tasty. I would strongly recommend visitors to Raunds looking for a great Italian restaurant should settle as we did on Rocco's!

Good choice of Italian food you would expect from Pasta to Pizza, very friendly staff and we wanted to tweak one of the dishes and was not a problem.Nice house wine, would definitely go again!

We love coming here, food is excellent. Love the mushrooms in garlic for starter and the garlic knots. Profiteroles and cheesecake yummy. Staff are very friendly, and always welcome you, into their family run business. Highly recommended.

We knew of this place but never gave it a second thought, being in a small town where nothing really happens we figured the food wouldn't be all that. How wrong we were!!!!! From starter to dessert, the food was excellent, incredibly fresh and piping hot. The wait staff were very attentive but not overbearing. It felt very homely and welcoming. We will definitely be visiting again, and soon!!!!

My new wife and I decided to go into Rocco's one evening when we had decided we didn't want to cook. We have lived literally around the corner for several years and have walked past and never been in. We walked in surprised at how quaint, personal and friendly it was. We were greeted instantly and shown to a table. When we go out we only do so for really good food, and that is exactly what you get at Rocco's. Everything is freshly cooked to order as it should be in all restaurants. I couldn't rate this place highly enough. I would literally eat here every day if I could. But I'm afraid it would do my waist line no good. Try the garlic knots, there my favourite. Great place, great food, great staff. 11/10 !

Rocco's used to be our local restaurant from when it opened until we moved in 2014... we have not found a restaurant since that offers such a lovely personal service and delicious food. Tonight was the first time I've been back in almost two years and I had the warmest most sincere welcome, it was lovely. My favourite dish was still on the menu and just as delicious as I remembered it. It got busy quickly too so glad we booked. Thank you for turning a memorable day into a memorable evening.

This is a fantastic restaurant and rapidly becoming one of our favourite places to eat. The food is delicious, there's a nice atmosphere and the service is always friendly and highly professional. They also do a brilliant takeaway service. I wish we had started visiting sooner.

Dinner for two last night just me and my youngest son. As always it was fantastic. Food was excellent, service was excellent atmosphere was excellent (even though we were in at 5:30, good music and a good chat with the owner/chef). Two starters, two mains two beers and two J2O's and change back from £50 You Gotta Eat Here!

Online it said to let them know when booking if you had any dietary requirements and said they catered for coeliacs. Brilliant! On calling they said they wanted to know in advance so they could get separate water on the boil, made me feel very confident that they knew about cross contamination and the importance of gluten free. Felt totally at ease and very welcome when we arrived. We had four children with us... Excited friends who were getting together having not seen eachother for a while and all under 9....! They were made to feel so welcome too and were very well catered for and chatted to. We really enjoyed our meal and time and will definitely return next time we meet up!

Little piece of Italy. Charming restaurant, not pretentious just great food in a lovely intimate restaurant. Pizzas are great, service very friendly. Loved the decor, could be in Italy if you didn't look out of the window! Carafe of house wine wasn't great but drinkable. All in all good value. Will be back.

I popped in here for dinner with my partner. It is a family run restaurant in a small town. The lady front of house and Rocco himself were both charming, and made us feel very welcome. The pizza was good, but the garlic knots with our starter were brilliant.

Finally got around to trying Rocco's tonight and it was great. Fairly straightforward menu choices, but why over complicate things. Had a great, home cooked bowl of pasta followed by Tiramisu - what's not to like. A friendly welcome - nothing was too much trouble - from both front of house and the chef. Will definitely be going back. Keep up the good work!

Have been a few times and the food is always superb. Tonight me and my husband decided to go again. The food is always so fresh and you can tell it's all homemade. The cheesecake is the best I've ever had. Friendly family run business always happy and welcoming..would definitely recommend..

Probably our favorite local restaurant, so we visit often. Fresh, homemade, delicious. What's not to love?Everything we've tried has been so good-favorites are the sautéed mushroom starter, the 'disgraceful' pasta, lasagna, and any pizza on the menu (such good pizza!). And don't miss Gill's cheesecake. It's something special.Friendly owners, good service, great food-so if you go, book a table. You might be disappointed if you just turn up.

Me and my boyfriend wanted somewhere new to go towards the end of last year and stumbled upon this place. Last week we visited for a second time. It has to be one of the friendliest places we have ever been with really nice, affordable food. I highly recommend it.Both times we visited in the week shocked when we ended up being the only people there both times.I highly recommend the little Italian in Raunds, they are wonderful and we will definitely keep going back.

My husband and I went here last night after a recommendation from friends who live locally (and getting hitched today!!). The welcome from Gill and Rocco was great; friendly and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious! My husband had the meat platter to start and I had the most gorgeous garlic mushrooms with mozerella. He then had the pasta with pork and sausage and I had pasta with chicken and prawns. Both of which were delicious. This was followed by (though only just as portion sizes are very generous, so keep room!) scrummy cheesecake - a must if you like desserts! and a delightful tiramisu. All washed down with a couple of glasses of very nice house wine, all for £62!! Throughout, the service was great and you knew that nothing would be too much trouble. It was nice to talk to both Gill and Rocco and see Rocco coming in and out of the kitchen to talk to their diners. If you're in the area, this little restaurant is a must, and when we are back down this way, will definitely go again. We will also make a recommendation at the B & B we're staying in.So thank you Gill and Rocco for adding to our exciting weekend!

Without a doubt, my favourite restaurant in the country, I love Rocco's!A great family run Italian restaurant, tucked away in the sleepy village of Raunds in Northamptonshire. The food is fantastic, always cooked to perfection. Great wine to wash it down with and yet the prices are very reasonable. But the best bit, the staff and the atmosphere they cultivate there. It is such a friendly place, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and will not want to leave at the end of the evening. I can't dine here enough. It's not local to me but is always worth the drive out there. If you've never visited, try them... you won't be disappointed.

We eat in Roccos about once a month and have always found it a friendly and amenable place to visit. The food is tasty unpretentious fare, there is plenty of it and the value is good.Despite the moaning review below our young daughter has always been welcomed; as far as I'm concerned others' yowling brats are better off elsewhere so I'd support the management wholeheartedly in making a judgment call if they feel obliged to do so. I'm fairly sure the incident referred to is unique and children are there often, so don't be put off if you have kids who behave.

Another memorable night to celebrate a birthday. Our two daughters organised a surprise birthday party for their Mum on her reaching her 60th. Although knowing a surprise was in the offing I was not privy to the venue until the day and then had to somehow get said recipient of the surprise party to the venue, not an easy task but managed I might say with great ingenuity and a couple of white lies on my part.The party was a huge success with everyone enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the wonderful cuisine cooked by Rocco and his wife Gill. Our daughters did a tremendous job in arranging a wonderful party in a intimate venue that really does Rocco and Gill credit.I cannot recommend the food highly enough, friends and relatives who had not frequented the restaurant before all praised not only the food but the friendliness and atmosphere that Rocco and his lovely wife Gill generate. One relative from outside the county said that when they visit again he would like to eat there again as it was an extremely pleasurable experience and one he wanted to repeat. To sum up, a wonderful birthday surprise for the wife organised by our two fantastic daughters, at a wonderful restaurant with friends and relatives, with cuisine cooked by the Executive Chef himself, Rocco, and served by the Real Boss Gill, and the other members of staff who did a sterling job that night. A big thank you to all who came, organised, cooked and served the food it was a memorable night.I can wholeheartedly recommend Rocco's either for a party, a night out with friends or an intimate dinner all of which we have participated in. Enjoy this Italian gem, I know we do.

Wow! Visited Rocco's for the first time last night with friends who regularly go. Such a lovely welcome and a great atmosphere, followed by excellent service, truly delicious food and wine, all at a very reasonable price. Can't wait to return. Every time my partner and I visit Roccos we are disappointed when we leave ...Why?? Because the atmosphere and food and company is so exceptional we actually feel like we are on holiday when we are in the restaurant!!!!! The food is excellent and portions are large and the atmosphere is second to none. No matter how often we visit we are greeted like friends and I can't say enough great things about this place. If you want great HOMEMADE Italian food, a friendly atmosphere and a great night out then Roccos is not to be missed

Visited Roccos again tonight, no matter where I go for Italian food, Roccos is always the best, the Diavola does it for me every time, and somehow the espresso here is nicer than anywhere on the planet!! I would like to say in reference to Evie923 comment " hates children" ! This is ridiculous as I took my little boy who has just turned 3 and I take him every time I go to Roccos, the minute we walk through the door Rocco and Gill speak to my son and know him by name and have always made him welcome and cook dishes specially to suit his tastes, childrens facilities ? What does that mean? This is a small family run restaurant not a 2for £10 with soft play and colouring books!! And the fact that inside the menu there is a polite notice asking for people to accompany their children to and from toilets etc is what most good parents should do but some don't and if you have well behaved children who respect the environment they are in and respect fellow diners then this should not offend! It's a shame you didn't stay for the food evie923 it's your loss, you won't get a better meal for miles! We love it

We visit gill and roccos restaurant once a month as we live in raunds,because you always get a warm welcome from them both.The service and food is always excellent. They do there utmost to accommodate you.Went there new years eve and had a great time,restaurant was full and the service and food excellent as ever.Looking forward to going next month. phil and terri

I can't give you a review on the food as we didn't stay. But I can give you a review on the outrageously unwelcoming menu. It was my daughters first birthday and as her favourite food is Pasta and her father is italian we thought we would try the local Italian restaurant for the first time. Upon entering we were greeted by a staff member, seated and told that there were no facilities for children/babies. Then upon opening the menu, the WHOLE of the first page was detailing how they would not tolerate childrens noise, how we were expected to accompany our children to the bathroom and if they were too noisy we would be asked to leave. finally, that if they became too much hassle, they would review their policy on children. I read this with shock, I know how my children should behave in a restaurant and would never of allowed them to run around and cause loud noise, but to be threatened before we even got to the first page of the menu was unwelcoming and unnecessary. We left disgusted. Not the sort of traditional Italian restaurant we have been to before, where kids of all ages are welcomed and enjoyed. They have lost out on what was possibly a regular visiting family.

Highly recommended. Delicious pizza and pasta, this is a family-run Italian restaurant just like the ones you find in Italy. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are extremely friendly and courteous - nothing is too much bother.

We went for the Wednesday special - 2 courses for £9.95. Couldn't fault the food, the service or the wine (we had the house red). Rocco and Gill can't do enough for you and they are so friendly you begin to think that you've been invited round to their house for dinner, it is so relaxed. Best Italian for miles.

Another wonderful night at Rocco's. Food fantastic, atmosphere warm and inviting. In our party of four, two were vegetarians, they were visiting from the States and having recommended Rocco's to them they were anticipating a good night out. They were not disappointed. Rocco actually came and suggested making a vegetarian dish with a homemade sauce that incorporated all what one of our family suggested. The result was excellent my cousin said it was one of the best dishes he had experienced. His wife who opted for a vegetarian pizza was equally impressed and stated it was "awesome, not good, but awesome" , these comment coming from a couple who have a plethora of Italian restaurants in the city where they live in the States.For our part my wife and I had what we usually have spaghetti bolognese for the wife, while I opted for the penne arrabbiata. Again both excellent and served as always by Gill who epitomises all that is good about Rocco's. With her warm welcome and always smiling face, along with Rocco's culinary skills, and himself coming round to each table and having a conversation really shows how committed they are in giving their customers an enjoyable experience A special mention to the other member of staff who works extremely hard creating the hand made pizza's, as my cousin's wife said awesome. As always we had starters three of us opted for the mista salad while the other had caprese, again excellent, all of this washed down with copious amounts of Italian wine, beer and apperetifs of gin and tonics. What more can I say wonderful food, wonderful wine, wonderful hosts. A night to remember, you bet, my cousin has said that they will return and eat at this restaurant again, my wife and I will be returning too. Thank you to Rocco, Gill and the awesome pizza man for another excellent night.

My husband and I are locals in Raunds and we visit Rocco's for any occasion we can. We love the homemade food, the friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere. They have always given us a very enjoyable experience and have very reasonable prices. We have even tried the take away option and it does not disappoint in any way! We are happy to recommend the restaurant to anyone!

Do not listen to the negative reviews! Whoever rated this restaurant as terrible is clearly incompetent. The food is amazing and I have had the privilege of witnessing Rocco cook so I can assure you, the food is all home made using fresh ingredients - definitely NOT from a jar! The atmosphere is always great at Rocco's, staff very friendly, service always excellent. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant - I live in Northampton and Rocco's is definitely worth travelling to.

First of all I would like to speak about the reviews that rate this restaurant terrible, conveniently both reviews were sent at same time and the review from Rome is not authentic. Rocco does not use dolmio sauce, this is some kind of nasty tactic to put people off, please don't let it, their food is fresh and made to order, they adapt dishes to suit your taste so you know they are not ready made, tiramisu is delicious, my family eat here regular and we are italian!! Roccos has always made us welcome and is certainly not overpriced! Ignorance makes people write horrible reviews, maybe the person who thinks they live in Rome should really stay at home with a tin of spaghetti hoops, it angers me to read such nonsense,,!I urge everyone who has not yet tried Roccos to Go and try it soon, I guarantee you it's the freshest Italian food in the area and we dine out regular!

Food was amazing, nothing is too much trouble for Rocco and Gill, if you want things changing from the menu, just ask - its all freshly made, think a previous reviewer must be in the wrong restaurant! Always made to feel welcome and restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We have brought numerous friends and family to this restaurant, who love it just a much as we do. Will be back again soon!

Having previously reviewed this not long after opening, and having had several meals and take aways (usually the excellent pizzas!) it was nice to return to our local Raunds Italian Restaurant before heading off for our holiday in Tuscany. All four members of our party were delighted with every course! Happy to report the same great food, friendly and efficient service, nice atmosphere and very reasonable prices!This is a great little friendly local Trattoria with a real Italian feel and no negatives! We will return soon! Wise to book Friday or Saturday!

wonderful restaurant with a warm welcome .Food always superb.I have visited with various friends and family on several occasions and never had a bad meal or any reason for complaint. I have always had good a great response from guests who have all passed favourable comments after the meal.

We visit Rocco's Italian Restaurant each and every week and without fail, are greeted in a welcoming manner, squeezed in even when its busy and served delicious Italian cuisine. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts and Gill's infectious laughter is often heard about the place. Rocco himself takes time out of the busy kitchen to find out how his guests are enjoying the food before being ushered back in by Gill to cook some more.We often take my son, aged 10, and again, nothing is too much trouble - smaller portions for the kids if they can't face a huge dish of pasta, lovely ice creams at the end of the meal.We have travelled extensively in Italy and Sicily, including off the beaten track and it reminds me very much of a family trattoria that we found in the mountain village of Cianciana. Rocco's offers simple, flavoursome food that we keep going back for.In my opinion, the two poor reviews bear absolutely no resemblance to the place whatsoever, and as a weekly visitor (sometime twice weekly when I don't want to cook), I feel able to speak with authority!Highly recommended.

Just fancy an evening out so popped to local Italian. It was very busy with a real friendly buzz. Wednesday is speacial's night although you can choose off main menu if you wish. We choose off specials menu very good quality food was real value for money ideal for mid week treat. This is not the first time we have visited Rocco's and it will not be the last.

what a lovely night at gill and roccos last night,the restaurant was busy but not crowded.how nice to see other regulars customers like us, when we go there.which makes the atmosphere lovely and friendly.Gill is a very good host,polite and courteous, and super friendly.As for the food,well it superb. With home made lasagne, spaghetti bolognese, pizzas, all made with roccos home made bolognese sauce.And the desserts are just as good with gills tiramisu and her lovely cheesecake, which is my favourite.Terri and Phil

Where to start! What a wonderful experience. Can't understand the poor reviews given by Two previous reviewers. Obviously they went to another restaurant Dolmio jars, really, I think not. We went with some friends who said afterwards what a wonderful experience the visit to the restaurant was. The food was excellent and the ambience created by the owners for such a small restaurant shows how committed they are. Our friends who are well travelled said it was one of the best Italian meals they had experienced (they holiday in Italy so I bow to their superior taste). I have given a rating for the bar scene as I see it drinking Italian beer and Italian wine in an Italian restaurant......BlissAll in all I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Go enjoy the experience.I know we did.

I stumbled upon this restaurant when travelling through Raunds one day and have been back several times since. Couldn't ask for any more!! Great food and a friendly atmosphere, gives it an authentic Italian feeling. Would highly recommend

We went to Rocco's on Saturday night 28th June we were glad we booked as it was very busy. We were served by Gill who was polite and answered our queries regarding how hot hot was! Once we had ordered the food was served and the salad was very fresh and I would like to be able to recreate the dressing. 3 different pasta dishes and the youngest of us opted for pizza, (which was too much to eat in one go so bought some home).The red house wine complemented the food perfectly. A bottle of tapwater was supplied on request, and some of us had pudding which looked lovely, The ice cream sundae was huge and could probably be shared.rocco came and checked that everything was o.k. several times without being intrusive. We felt well looked after and the buzz from other customers gave a vibrant atmosphere. There was no hurry to finish our meal the table was ours for the entire evening. We went home full and some of us a bit merry, and will be returning to Rocco's very soon.

Visited with family for my stepmothers birthday. Had heard lots of nice things prior to our meal and Rocco's really lived up to it's reputation! Wonderful, friendly hosts, fresh ingredients and a quaint setting with a fantastic atmosphere. I ordered the Nodi D'Aglio to start which were lovely, the Penne Pasta Pollo e Gamberi A La Panna for the main course and as I'm not a fan of Prawns they left these out which I really appreciated, was almost too stuffed for dessert but couldn't resist the homemade cheesecake and I'm glad I didn't. Ambience was spectacular, service superb and delicious food. An absolute Gem... Just try and keep me away! No bad points whatsoever.. welldone!

Although only open from Wednesday to Saturday, I would urge people to seek out this gem of a family run restaurant. The food was excellent. I had home made meat balls and spaghetti, which was delicious. Ample portions so be prepared.The service was also extremely friendly and as others have said, you felt that the staff would do whatever to make your meal enjoyable.Overall a very good experience and one we will repeat.

We have eaten here several times now, with friends and with family. The Spaghetti Prawn is delicious, pizzas authentic, Rocco and his wife are always welcoming and accommodating. Will continue to use this restaurant. No negative comments to make.

This isn't based on one particular visit to this restaurant, we have visited numerous times and the fantastic food and service remains constantly excellent. If you make a reservation the table is yours for the night so you can take time over you dinner and have a break between courses. We have had many a fantastic night in here and would highly recommend to anyone

Where to start with this absolute gem of a eatery, my wife and I first visited rocco's two weeks after it first opened and right from the off fell in love with this quaint little restaurant. The food is mouth watering and never fails to make me sit and take an age just to decide what to have. The pizzas are the best ive ever had and for the life of me cannot understand why anyone would go to a chain pizza place when you have amazing pizza like this on your doorstep. I love the way rocco personaly comes out from the kitchen to say hi and make sure everything is fine (which it always is) service is always friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Almost feels like your stepping through the door and into rocco's home. I cant praise this place enough we have been 4 times since it opened and wish we could visit more and if we had the time we would be in there everynight for dinner 'yummo' value for money is awesome I dont know anywhere you can leave feeling that stuffed and still have change from a fifty including drinks. Brilliant. Awesome. Amazing. Rocco's we love you keep up the great work and well see ya soon.

Our first visit to this local new establishment was long overdue, having been recommended by friends and neighbours. On a busy Friday night the atmosphere, food and service were great- a lovely place to relax over delicious home cooked, no frills Italian food. The Antipasti were most generous and the Spaghetti Marinara was delicious. All the pasta dishes were much appreciated and the menu is extensive for a smallish establishment. Friendly service with the owners front of house frequently and reasonably priced. A little gem!

This restaurant opened shortly after we moved into the area and is very close by. What a result. The family and extended family, who run it are wonderful and make sure you have an enjoyable time. The food is delicious and as a diabetic Rocco and Frank accomadate me allowing me to bring in my own cheese etc. If like me you are rubbish at ordering wine then Jill will probably remember what you enjoyed before. I try to try different things but usually go for the Rocco specila pizza which is fantastic. The prices are very good and they do take outs as well. On one memorable occasion Rocco ran down the road to give my son a meal as we had not brought him. He allways has the Diablo which he thinks Rocco's can make hotter than a "Naga". Highly recomend this place.
