We've been going to the Ferryboat for years and years. I grew up in the village, and my Dad still lives there Sunday Lunch is a great experience. It's a friendly place, with lovely staff who are welcoming. I had the Chicken Sunday Lunch this time and it was superb. A full breast of chicken with amazing potatoes, veg and a Yorkshire Pud. We had a side order of cauliflower cheese which was perfection Reasonably priced and fabulous value for money

Back again after a couple of years, we love the area and this weekend we’ve fished, drank (lots) and eat lots to. We used the pub all weekend, highly recommend the fish and chips on Friday, breakfast on Saturday ( Tilly is so lovely, thank you for looking after us) and finished the weekend off with a Sunday lunch. Mixed meat for me and roast pork for the wife. No cracking as they’d ran out, which is fine as we eat mid afternoon. Beautiful meal, will definitely come again, we’re booking in for a weekend of fishing before autumn sets in. Thanks again folks.

Camp from the nearby campsite for a Sunday Lunch. Group of 9/10 of us. Beef looked lovely as it arrived but was very tough/chewy. Veg minimal, (2 carrots and 2 bits of broccoli) (did order cauliflower cheese for an extra £3.95..!!) but just OK. Mash cold, 2 small roasties. Two or 3 people sent theirs back to be reheated. Of those who ordered Pork specifically to have crackling were told the crackling was all gone. We were asked if there’s anything they could replace it with but weren’t offered any options as to what. .? No one bothered to visit the table to ask if everything was OK after the initial service, only to ask if we wanted drinks. Not local so wouldn’t return anyway necessarily but we were all a little disappointed in the service and food.

Our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed our meals here. There was a variety of dishes on offer including some great pies and plenty for the vegetarians. Friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back.

Sadly venue now closed. I had previously eaten here & was really pleased last tome, around 2 years ago, but in July 2019 venue was found all locked up.

Really terrible meal tonight at the Ferry Boat. Not only was it massively overpriced but the service was rude - finished by being stood waiting to be served while the bar staff threw nuts at a man at the end of the bar.

The food is very good value for money. Nice presented and plentiful. The pub and park are nice places to visit to have a chill out holiday, shopping at nearby Lincoln. You can even take the dog, good place to stay if you on a budget. Definitely recommend!

We have been here before for Sunday lunch and couldn't understand the five star rating and questioned what people were rating it against but as it was late Saturday afternoon and everywhere else was closed until 5pm we thought we would give it another go. There was only one other table in the restaurant but we still waited 40 minutes for our pate (no cooking) and a mini Camembert round (10mins max in the oven) starters. This was not a major issue but when you are going to charge high end prices for meals they should be cooked correctly! Beef bourgignon meat was dry yet sinewy like it had been on high heat rather than slow cooked to break down the meat. The duck was overlooked by about 20 minutes and was grey and tough.. it was supposed to be pan fried but the skin was just dry like it had been thrown in the oven and forgot about. I'm not sure it had seen a frying pan. (I can end a photo of the duck) I discreetly asked the waitress to ask the chef what his opinion of the food but we were simply offered a free pudding which is not what we were looking for. Neither did we ask for anything off the bill but at £55 was ridiculous for a pub meal of this quality. We were simply bringing the quality of the food to the attention of the chef as it was poor to say the least and we would not recommend the ferry to others at this point and would not take the risk of hoping that this was a one off

Popped in The Ferry Boat Only to find out the place has changed hands yet again, Disappointed in the Hand pull ,Bar service was average. Seems like there trying to turn a Local Pub into some sort of Gastro Bar... Not in keeping with the Deco and Dogs and Kids running about...

Everything was great about this except for the food. And it was very expensive. I don't mind paying if it's worth it, but this definitely wasn't.

One of the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time! Arrived so quickly, tasted incredible and the veggies were still crunchy! We ordered the Nutella and marshmallow pizza too and oh my it was amazing!! We’ll defiantly order again! This was our first time!
