The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Decidimos visitar este lugar ya que está cerca del lugar donde nos alojamos en Londres. Cuando llegamos, el lugar era cálido, limpio, y el anfitrión / camarero era amable. Parecía que podía haber sido el único que trabajaba en las mesas del restaurante. Hizo un tremendo trabajo: servir, dar la bienvenida a los huéspedes y entregar comida recién preparada de la cocina de abajo. Si bien no estábamos seguros de cómo irían las cosas, después de ver que él era el único que trabajaba, nos quedamos boquiabiertos. La comida era deliciosa - nuestro hijo dijo que era la mejor albóndiga que ha tenido - y el Borek era la comida más deliciosa que tenía en los 3 países que visité en este viaje. Ojalá hubiéramos encontrado este restaurante antes, ya que nos hubiera encantado probar más artículos. Muy recomendable para la comida y el personal.

We had a fantastic jovial lunch with close friends. Staff were friendly ,helpful and efficient.. Food was great as always.

Visited this bar on our last night in shanklin! Shame as what a great place! Cocktails were wonderful especially the Caramel Saltini so good!! Nice staff happy to chat about what went into the Cocktails & great to watch them being made up. On leaving asked for bill charged for one Amstel 😲 pointed out that a good deal more than Amstel was drunk! 10% discount for my honesty! Great place try it especially the Caramel Saltini!!! Loved the toilets aswell 😂

Great setting but let down by food preparation and wooden cutlery. Yes, the setting is fab overlooking Lyme Regis beach. However, the food prep was disappointing given the high prices. I spent over £15 on 2 teas, a sausage roll and a cake. The sausage roll was good quality (award winning bought in from elsewhere) but they microwaved it to warm it up - a travesty and soggy pastry. And the soggy sausage roll was served alone with no garnish or anything else on the plate or any offer of sauces etc. The cutlery was wooden disposable which just sets my teeth on edge. The tea had too much milk put in it - no choice to do it yourself - a mug of milky tea presented, yuck, not my cup of tea! The waiting staff were pleasant enough but not exactly enthusiastic or bothering to check all was well. Give the high prices, I won’t be back. They’ve got such a fab location and have bought in higher quality food, what a shame they have ruined it with poor food prep, crap utensils and disinterested staff.

Comida casera. Tuve una comida especial. Huevos con tomate, queso y chile, además de pan. Y un café de 10 libras. Sentado dentro debido al frío. He estado antes, iré de nuevo. Estacionado afuera. Buena comida, locales limpios, personal amable. Un delicatessen, así como un café. Precios justos, creo. Puedes sentarte afuera si quieres. Aseo arriba. Menú de temporada, dijo la camarera.

By now I’ve eaten most of the food in the menu and this is by far the best Italian food I’ve eaten, including what I’ve had in Italy! Everything is great but even the classics like the Carbonara absolutely sing!

Este es, con diferencia, el mejor almuerzo de domingo en Newcastle... hermosa carne tierna, puré cremoso de papa y nabo, zanahorias, guisantes, magnífica patata asada y gran pudín real de Yorkshire (no los enormes, llenos de aire fresco)... y salsa fabulosa y sabrosa. . 😋😋😋

Esta fue mi primera vez visitando este establecimiento y me pareció decepcionante la experiencia! Estaba leyendo el menú y decidiendo qué comprar cuando escuché a uno de sus empleados que usa un pañuelo en la cabeza, dar un comentario racista y muy ofensivo y despectivo al otro miembro del personal (la jovencita con trenzas) ! Pude ver que la joven estaba claramente ofendida por este comentario, al igual que yo, pero ella seguía siendo muy profesional. Siento que este día en la edad comentarios como este no son necesarios y no voy a dar mi costumbre a un establecimiento que emplea a colegas que son claramente racistas y muy groseros

Lovely homemade ice cream. Service with a smile. My daughter absolutely loves the milkshakes. Deluxe caramel iced latte! Come here often especially in the summer.

Popped in for breakfast as wanted to put money in to local business rather than McD’s etc and the board outside stated 2 breakfasts and 2 teas £12 which seemed reasonable. The breakfast was well sized however the sausage was bland as was the grilled tomato. Bacon and beans were good. The pot of tea wasn’t the best. At no point did anybody pop over and ask us if we were enjoying our meal or if everything was ok. The decor was tired with marks on the walls and the door was filthy. We were in early and the place was empty so wasn’t as though the grime had built up in the day and would have took a minute to wipe it down with a damp cloth at least. Also the table cloth was stained. When went to pay it was £15.88 and not the £12 as advertised outside but couldn’t be bothered challenging as it was the missus’s birthday. Won’t be going there again as just not good enough.

First time I've ever been to this charming little park...on a beautiful sunny morning I spotted this cafe & thought fabulous I'll have a coffee. As I entered I was putting my mask on and one of the strings broke the mask was still covering my face as I was holding it. To my SHOCK I look up & this man behind the counter (the owner I think) which was at least 2 metres away wearing a mask himself starts to SHOUT AT ME!! The way in which this man spoke to me was actually shocking I've been reading some of the other reviews an this seems to be a reoccurring theme. In this time when so many businesses are struggling we as consumers have a choice were we spend our money and many of us choose to try and support local businesses...this one WONT get my support..this man is a RUDE & is going the right way about ruining his own business

Fantastic little gem . Excellent food . Arancini unbelievable..Fab selection of pizza,i felt like I was back in italy...Luigi is so welcoming , Thku for such an enjoyable evening .

Fuimos varias veces durante los meses de agosto y septiembre. El menú no era largo, pero todo estaba recién hecho, desde cero. Cuando fuimos temprano, el servicio fue bastante rápido, pero más tarde se llenó (es un lugar pequeño) y ¡el servicio nos llevó más de una hora! Por suerte, queríamos hablar. Tuve la berenjena / berenjena parmigiana más de una vez, estaba delicioso. El camarero italiano / de Sri Lanka fue desternillante. (y muy lindo)

Absolutely amazing! Best pizza we’ve had in a long time. Popped in on the off chance of a table, and the lovely waitress went out of her way to accommodate us. Absolute bargain for the quality ingredients. We will definitely be back!
