Popped in for breakfast as wanted to put money in to local business rather than McD’s etc and the board outside stated 2 breakfasts and 2 teas £12 which seemed reasonable. The breakfast was well sized however the sausage was bland as was the grilled tomato. Bacon and beans were good. The pot of tea wasn’t the best. At no point did anybody pop over and ask us if we were enjoying our meal or if everything was ok. The decor was tired with marks on the walls and the door was filthy. We were in early and the place was empty so wasn’t as though the grime had built up in the day and would have took a minute to wipe it down with a damp cloth at least. Also the table cloth was stained. When went to pay it was £15.88 and not the £12 as advertised outside but couldn’t be bothered challenging as it was the missus’s birthday. Won’t be going there again as just not good enough.

Nice, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food was generally good but coffee was not too great. Bruschetta should have some basil on it. Could only pay with cash but was not told until it was time to oay, meaning a trip to the cash machine.

Love this place, amazing food, great service, cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced, would highly recommend.

Non existent service, busy clearing a table (only 4 tables occupied, rest empty) and then disappeared in to the kitchen never to be seen. When a customer, who came in well after us, was taken a drink and we hadn’t even been asked whether we ready to order, it was time for us to leave. Plenty other places to go in Bury for lunch! Very poor.

Visited for second and definitely not the last time today. The staff is incredibly friendly and well it’s just the best place to eat in bury. The food is delicious, the portions are perfect and prices are reasonable. The thing that was a nice surprise since the last time we have been there the restaurant switched to paper straws and even bamboo cocktail sticks which is great! The customer service is just at its best there just like the food and I have to add I love their puns about food hung on the walls. So don’t be upsetti and eat some spaghetti at La Dolce Vita

Had the lasagne, amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Also Hadd the garlic tomato bread. Again outstanding and our server was polite and cheerful. Can't wait to visit again

I kept seeing this little place constantly and eventually on a family day out of 5 people. I tried it. Cute little place with a feel of being in italy without requiring a passport. The server seemed a little miserable, but not enough to not make you not return. Quality of food was lobely amd an all round plesant experience. Except the claustrophobic bathroom stall. I felt like a packaged toy. Its deffo a place to take a loved one, just go on payday rather the end off one 😉😂

I visited La Dolce Vita today with my 4 year old son. The layout and atmosphere is lovely. Itallian music playing in the background, amazing scents of garlic and fresh herbs - authentic home cooked food! The menu is great and offers a large variety of meals that are reasonable in price. I ordered the Smoked Haddock Risotto from the specials menu and my son, a Peperoni Pizza. Both were delicious... even though my sons eyes were a bit too big for his belly! Haha. The staff were more than happy to box up the rest of his Pizza for him to take home and he was over the moon. Smiles all round! The coffee menu was good and the Cappuccino was lovely. Just what I needed on a rainy day. My son ordered a Strawberry Milkshake which came with fresh whipped cream on top. The only downside is that they are a cash only restaurant. However there is a cash machine a few stores down so not a major inconvenience. All in all, a very lovely visit and we will be returning again soon. Thank you for bringing a little slice of Italy to Bury.

This has to be one of the friendliest restaurants I've ever visited and the food is fantastic too. I can highly recommend the omelettes!

Went for food for my nans birthday, all 4 of us said it was brilliant. Had spaghetti and meatballs, came steaming hot and was delicious.

Food is so fresh and tasty, had the Rusico panini and full English breakfast. Didn't have the right change for our bill so got let off 30p. The manager is so friendly and welcoming. Will deffinitly be going back.

Had a fantastic evening, taking my young daughters and their friends for a birthday meal. Really good food (I highly recommend the Calzone), and caters for all tastes. What really makes this place stand out though is the staff. Really friendly, quick and helpful and bags of personality. If you want a good relaxed Italian meal in the heart of Bury you really can't go wrong and I'll certainly be going back!

Took my daughter here as it is usually nice.My daughter ordered a pasta dish with chicken and veg which was nearly £9 not worth it .It was bland and the cheese tastes disgusting.I informed them when paying and the cook or the owner was very rude stating that shed eating most of it.My daughter was ill later that afternoonThey just gave me a leaflet and said next time your in get 10 per cent off which I didnt want.She only took about £1 off ,Also staff were in ripped jeans and kept touching her false eyelashes which is very unhygienic.Wont be going back and will not recommend it .There are so many nicer places to eat in Bury .

Called in for lunch over the weekend. They had a varied menu, the usual pasta /pizza and panninis plus things like a full breakfast etc and all excellent value for money. The three of us ordered different things, and were very happy with our choices. I do have to mention a few things:

Hidden in plain sight, I've walked past this Italian many times without really seeing it, glad I finally went in. Excellent menu, tasty food, staff friendly & efficient. Will definitely be visiting again.

Food ok however we ordered pizza but was told 30 min wait ( empty place so no excuse) ! Front of house staff miserable! Toilets unclean and no hot water. Cash only also which we only realised on paying the bill which is a little strange these days!!! Wouldn’t bother again.

Popped in for lunch on a chance and was impressed by the attentive and friendly service coupled with the fresh and generous offerings on the menu. The best paninis ever, by our vote!, were preceeded by a free olive and fresh bread appetizer.. a nice touch. Lovely feel inside which the street view hides. Give it ago and add it to your lunch venues like us.

Always pop in for breakfast! Can definitely recommend it as you get a good breakfast for a decent price!

Food ok but staff need to interact more with dinners very miserable staff which puts you coming back ordered pizza with archaicove guess what not to be seen and no explanation not good

This place looks unexceptional from outside. but inside the decor is very smart and the menu is extensive, with prices that are very good value for money. Not everything on the menu is Italian. For example, you can have a full English breakfast that looked (from what I could see of it) very good for the price asked.

I went to this cafe today with my partner and grandparents, it was an amazing experience our every need was catered for by the staff, even to the point of my 92year old grandad being allowed and helped to go to the staff bathroom, as the customer ones are downstairs and my grandad wouldn’t of been able to go down the stairs the ladies where very caring kind and attentive and as for the food it was perfection fresh and delicious, we would recommend it to everyone you won’t be dissopointed

We have been before a few times and we really like this place, the lady owner is so nice and attentive. But, we went as a four on Saturday and apart from the service at the start (Accommodating us in the rain and putting two tables together) it was very slow. It was almost like they forgot us, I had to get up and get our own menus as it was like 5mins after we sat. We had to ask to take our order after being viability ready for 5mins and then at the end, to ask to pay after finishing. Food was really nice, the Pizza Gemma got was very authentic and one of the best.

I enjoy coming here at noon time as the restaurant is not normally busy at this time. The restaurant is unpretentious and there is a wide selection of Italian pasta, all day breakfasts, panini sandwiches and more. The staff are friendly, food served hot and speedily. Lovely to sit in this restaurant and see the world go by and you know it’s time to leave when the lunch crowds start piling in.

My first visit here genuine service, freshly cooked food,good coffee , staff fantastic couldn't do enough , worth a visit , great atmosphere for couples, alcohol available, and drinks for children , outdoor seating for good weather and smokers

Have been in a few times, the service and food seems to have gone down hill a little. Lovely people who work there but the service was pretty slow despite there not being many customers in.

I visited the Dolce Vita on Thursday with a friend for lunch. My friend had the penne arrabbiata and I had the chowder. The Arrabiatta was good but not as hot as my friend would have liked. The fish chowder was excellent. Packed full of prawns, salmon and mussels. The sauce was tomatoey with a great flavour. I really enjoyed the dish. It was served with crostini.

Just popped in for lunch and did not expect the exceptional food and service we would receive. A beautiful meal and a great cup of tea. We will be back!

Full english and a pot of tea also toast. Plenty to start the day when warm. Never been in before so tryed it and food is lovely cooked perfectly. Bit of music in background but thats relaxing. I will be back here again and recommend highly this lovely place

My girl friend and I were in Bury centre the food court was rammed so we walked a little ways to here and I’m so glad we did the food was excellent, generous portions, well presented. The staff were friendly too glad to tell us a little bit more about the what was on the menu. What we ate pictured below.

Visited with friends for a bite to eat before catching a film, at first we thought this was more of a cafe but whilst this is a nice place for a coffee it is also a very good restaurant with a charming feel. Three of the group had pizzas and I had chicken it was all very tasty and no complaints, the food was freshly made and service was professional and personal, if you're passing give it a try.

The food here is beautiful, staff friendly nothing to much trouble would defiantly recommend, will be going again 😃

We had a few hours to kill in Bury and spent quite a while wandering round trying to find somewhere to eat that wasn't a greasy spoon or a franchise. We came upon La Dolce Vita and even though it wasn't quite 12 noon we decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did, lovely chilled, welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and efficient staff and beautiful food. We will make a point of visiting Bury again just so we can try some more of their excellent food! 11/10!!

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! Only a small restaurant, but a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, very attentive and friendly staff. And the food........absolutely beautiful! I’ve never been disappointed with any dish I’ve had. Can’t recommend enough. You’ve got to try it!

Fantastic place to eat. 5 of us called in here on Sunday afternoon for lunch. The staff are so polite courteous, nothing is to much trouble. My wife had the penne primavera, she mentioned it was the nicest one she’s ever tasted. My meatball panini was absolutely spot on, very tasty indeed.

I came here with my patner and was straight away greeted by the lovely Sally who provided an excellent service throughout the visit. The staff were welcoming and informative and very polite, patiently answering all my food-related questions and catering to our demands.My partner ordered chicken which he said was succulent, perfectly cooked and good quality (I tasted some too so can confirm this) with lovely chunky chips and salad and I really enjoyed my vegetarian cannelloni with a creamy sauce. We thought our food was fresh, good quality, with perfect portion sizes and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed a homemade dessert which had just the right amount of sweetness. There was a lot to choose from with regards to menu offerings and I could tell that everything was made from scratch- a truly homely, comforting food. The place was clean and well stocked up+ nicely decorated. I will definitely visit again and I think this place deserves recognition for the great food and hospitality it offers as well as the cosy atmosphere and good location. La Dolce Vita receives a 5 star rating from me- congratulations and please keep up the good work!

Great menu, excellent food, friendly atmosphere, would recommend to anyone. Reasonable prices for both food & drink. Located on the Rock near all shops. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Visited a few times now. Once at lunch and a few times on a Friday evening. It has a cafe feel -busy in the day and quiet in the evening. The service is very friendly and attentive but the star is the food. Hot fresh tasty Italian food. Perfect pizza and lovely pasta. Try the crudo pizza, salmon penne or the very special chicken pancake. Great prices too. Will be back soon.

Been here a few times for lunch. I have always been met by friendly and efficient staff. Food is excellent but large portions. However you can have half portions equally as delicious for the smaller appetite. I will definitely visit again

Have passed this place several times when in Bury and decided to go in last week. The place itself is charming very authentic Italian and has a welcoming ambience to it. The food was superb home made Italian and the home made deserts were wonderful too. As expected of a good Italian restaurant the coffee was also excellent. A perfect place for a lunch with family and friends. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the service was first class. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Bury and I am planning a birthday party there in April.

After shopping in burry i was looking for somewhere to eat and found this cute cafe and decided to give it a try the staff were super friendly and nice and the food was amazing i would definitely recommend this cafe.

My husband and I have eaten lunch in this great little place a number of times and have yet to disappointed with our choices. We have tried most dishes from pizza to pasta and they have all been excellent. There are lots of cafe/bar places to choose from in Bury but you MUST try this one.

I have walked past this place many times and always said we must go. Today, we did. We went for lunch, it was relatively busy when we arrived. The greeting we got when we first walked in was lovely, so warm and welcoming "Hello, Darling" from the lovely waitress (Sorry I didn't get her name) but she kept up the warm/friendly hospitality throughout. When she seated us, the little things make the difference like when she offered us a better seat and shuffled us in and said: "You're more comfortable now".

My Husband and Myself called in this lovely hidden gem today, for lunch after an appointment in Bury.

Nice atmosphere unfortunately I, once again, picked the wrong dish. I had the fish chowder - this was not in a bowl as you would expect but on a flat plate. It did, however look good with three large prawns on the top. Unfortunately the overall taste was of smoked haddock and it was quite salty, so much so that it really could not eat most of it. It was a shame as I sampled a couple of my friends' meals which were extremely good. The house wine was quite nice and prices were very reasonable.

Visited here on a Friday night & as there were 8 of us & we were struggling to find a place to accommodate us all so close to Christmas so we thought we would give this place a try & so glad we did! The staff are lovely, really friendly, moved tables to make room for us & were personable with the children of the group which was lovely. The restaurant itself is spotless & so clean. The menu selection is great too. We all ordered separate meals & they were all delicious. The portion sizes are generous & they bought the children’s meals out first which is always a bonus. I cannot stress enough how reasonably priced it is. For 8 of us to eat with soft drinks it was £56 - a bargain. I cannot wait to eat here again. It’s my new go to place.

Decided to try this place out as we had walked past several times and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff and excellent food, there is a lot of competition in Bury for pizza and we have tried most of them but this was probably the best by far. My wife had the cannelloni which was delicious and nicely presented and although they were out of stock of my favourite beer we will be back very soon to try other dishes.

Walked passed many times so decided to visit. I was impressed. The prices are good value for the amount and quality of food, which was restaurant quality. My partner and I both had the spaghetti marinara which came with mussels, prawns, clams and two large langostines and a delicious tomato sauce. A lot of seafood for £8. Afterwards we shared a cheese platter which will easily do for two people.

Called in on an of chance as never been there before and all I can really say is wow food was absolutely amazing and the service was five star can’t believe I have only just found this place this is a diamond in the rough what a great place

I’ve have visited this restaurant on 3 separate occasions. I found the service impeccable and the quality of the food is excellent. I was astounded at how cheap the prices are for food like this. I have had the fussili, the seafood marinara and the vegetarian breakfast. The food certainly surpasses any Italian chained restaurant like Carluccios, Bella Pasta.

Just popped in for a quick lunch. Service was excellent matched only by the food. Had the spaghetti marinara and it was generous and tasty. A real surprise and well worth another visit. I highly recommend this hidden gem

We had a lovely meal at this new restaurant last night. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and portions were very generous. We shared an Antipasto which was plenty for two of us. My husband had the lobster tagliatelli which was a real treat and the bill was very reasonable. All in all very good value and handy for a pre-cinema meal.

It is always good to be able to go into a restaurant on your own and feel as welcome as I did.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday afternoon, as they do All Day Breakfast, decided to try the restaurant that evening as the breakfast was so good. Wasn't disappointed. Ridiculously good value for money authentic Italian.... so good we ate here on two nights running! Staff excellent. Would recommend.
