Babbo has never failed on great food, price and brilliant chef and staff. We had a lovely evening on a week night. Highly recommend the Lamb which my husband adored and Linguine Gamberoni is the best I ever had. Thanks guys for a great evening in your classy restaurant. Thanks chef 😋

In Manchester few days for a business trip, we discover this restaurant because on the way between hotel and work ..and become our first choice for every dinner. A very good place, the food was very good , specially “penne arrabbiata “ beautiful!! Also pizza was good and all other dishes…. Now we know where have a dinner for the next time in Manchester !!!

This was a lovely evening and excellent choice for my daughters birthday, the food was amazing and the service was what I expect, but don't always receive but here I couldn't fault it not in your face but polite and courteous, even brought a little birthday cake out for my daughter and everyone sang happy birthday even the other customers Would I recommend babbo, without hesitation. I will definitely be back. To the waiters thank you for great service and a pleasant evening.

The waiters were amazing especially the one from Chile and Calabria. For the food , garlic pizza is always amazing but I had the pasta courgette prawns and I didn't like it, zero courgettes and too much passata, was like eating passata pasta. Sorry I'm Italian so I need to complain 😂The pistacchio dessert was nice, music too loud as my little son is autistic was a bit too much for him I admit, but generally very friendly for this I give 4 stars. Xx

Great food and attentive, helpful staff

First time visit to Babbo after a lot of recommendations from friends. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. Various offers on. We had just missed out on the 2 course set menu. But we were happy with the fizzy Friday (Prosecco) bottle at £12.50. Our waiter tonight was Niall who couldn’t do enough for us - extremely helpful and polite. Food was fantastic. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

Just wonderful. They made a custom risotto for my vegan friend and I had the salmone. Most delicious espresso martini I've ever had and everything was INCREDIBLE. Waiters were polite, kind and attentive. Felt like a Michelin star experience with quick service and beautiful scenery.

The service and food we had tonight was really nice. The cocktails were one of the best I’ve had and we couldn’t fault any food, They made such an effort for us as we also celebrated a birthday. We would highly recommend and will certainly book again soon :)

Had a lovely meal for my granddaughters 13th birthday last Friday..food great..greatservice ..young man Nials 1st shift and he was so lovely ..smiley even though he went under when we applauded him he an asset to your restaurant as are all the staff that served us..

Visited here for the first time tonight even though we only live 10 mins away and we were so impressed! My fiancé prebooked our table in advance, we came with our 6 week old baby and we had no issues at all. All staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food and service was excellent. Paid approx £43 for 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 desert with a few soft drinks. Which in my opinion for a restaurant as nice as this was reasonable. We will definitely return on our next date night.

Been a few times now. Food on point every time. Most recent visit I had garlic bread with tomatoes with Prawn Linguine for main; both excellent. Partner had Moussaka with bread and olives for starters. Will return again!

Visited for the first time and very impressed will definitely return. Food was lovely and service was excellent very friendly and professional staff. Our waiter was such a lovely young man made us feel so welcome. Only negative was toilets were upstairs and we had an elderly person with us. There may of been a more accessible toilet but luckily it was needed so didn't ask about this

I ordered a meal as a takeaway whilst working locally. The service was fast, friendly service and excellent food. I was so impressed I will be returning for a sit down meal next month.

Two adults, two teens had a delicious Sunday treat here this eve. I went for peppery roast chicken from the Sunday lunch menu (an absolute taste sensation) husband had roast beef and the kids had pizza. Finished off with a chocolate and hazelnut dome. Clean plates and full tummies all round. Staff are attentive. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing service. I was enjoying a coffee next door and popped in to order a pizza 🍕 to take away and the young waiter provided wonderful service. He took my order and delivered my pizza to me with the required payment method. Brilliant customer service and gorgeous pizza 🍕 THANKYOU X

Great restaurant with fresh food and tasty menu options. I ordered the Ham and mushroom pizza and my wife, the chicken kebab. Both were very good, tasted fresh and well cooked.

Lovely food! Excellent portion sizes! I loved the Gravlax and the fungi crostini. I had the salmon pasta for the main, it was lovely but the sauce was a bit too thin and lacked a bit of flavour but was still nice. Would definitely go back. 👍

We visited Babbo because they were having a Dolly Parton tribute act playing and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We were a large group of 18 people and had our own section of the restaurant which was lovely. We pre-ordered our food and despite being a large group and the restaurant being fully booked, it all arrived out in good time and we weren’t kept waiting. The food was delicious, was presented well and served in generous portions by staff who were efficient and friendly. The singer at the event was brilliant! Overall we had a great night and we wouldn’t hesitate to book a table here again.

Not the best. Food was super oily, took long to come out when it wasn’t too busy. We didn’t get a check back to explain we had the wrong side. Overall, 2/5. Hate giving bad reviews but we we’re left feeling unimpressed and not worth 60 if we didnt have 25% off

We had a family meal here last night and, I have to say we were all very impressed. We tried a wide range of the dishes available. Eight of us all had something different in starters and mains and everything was delicious and well presented. The decor and atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were very efficient. I will definitely tell my friends and will certainly eat there again in the future.

My friends surprised me with a 50th birthday lunch celebration and it was fab. The food was tasty, the drinks were flowing and the hosts were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us. I was well and truly spoilt. Their hospitality was fabulous and I will definitely be going back.

Very good great place for families

Brilliant meal and restaurant! My parents came up for Easter weekend and we needed a last minute booking after another restaurant double booked us. Luckily, Babbo Cucina Italiana had room for us, and we ended up having a great meal on a Saturday evening. The place was decorated nicely, staff were friendly and attentive, and the meal was smartly presented / well filling. Will definitely come back and perhaps even try a takeaway pizza. Would recommend!

We came here for my birthday, the restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 8:00 pm on Wednesday) but luckily they managed to get us in. The place, the wonderful staff and the food were all brillant making my special day even more memorable. Also, I was even given a nicely decorated dessert at the end to celebrate the day. Thank you for the amazing service! We would definitely recommend this place and will be going again soon!

We’ve visited twice this month and been very impressed both times. The manager is friendly and all staff are attentive. We’ve had a mixture of starters, pizzas and pastas recently and never had any issues. It’s a shame the place isn’t busier but for us it is a little on the expensive side so we can’t visit as often as we would like now the 50% off has ended.

Good value lunchtime menu. Service was very good. Feb 2003 - Staff were lovely but they need to be trained to act at the right time e.g. when you've just finished a drink or a plate of food, the server is on top of you right away. That's not relaxing for the diner. Hope this helps as the rest of the experience was very good.

Been here on a couple of occasions now and the service is always impeccable and the food is to die for. Had to prompt staff to take our order, Had to prompt staff for our drinks, Had to prompt staff for water. Apart from this the food was very nice and well presented. I had a feeling there service would be poor when i noticed un ironed shirts. The food it self was very nice, We would have had a pudding but the staff didn't ask if we wanted on or even ask if we wanted another drink or coffee. but like i said the food was nice

Lovely place we found as somewhere to eat on our way to a show at the Arena. Easy access off the M62. Food delicious, atmosphere and venue modern and fresh and the whole team really friendly. Food amazing. Highly recommended. UPDATE: We'll be going back as we've just booked another show at the Arena. See you again soon.

Lovely evening dinner with amazing food and not rushed, so plenty of time between courses to relax and chat. Perfectly cooked food and Italian wines to match; delightful aperatif and digestif plus coffee too. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere, friendly service and great food

Food was sooo tasty and service top notch! We ordered prawn linguine and a calzone, both were incredibly tasty. The staff here are so helpful and friendly and really do try their best to accommodate to everyone. The interior is also beautiful and clean. There was a slight mix up with the bill and a few items on there that we never had but this mistake was soon rectified. I look forward to returning :)

So first time here. I ordered the liver pate was really tasty, but not enough bread for the amount of pate and jelly...my son ordered the king prawn starter, was okay but sauce was too salty so he picked prawns out and ate them without the soaked bread and sauce. Now here's the crux. I ordered a carbonara. Which is my favourite and i have ordered 100 times before in various restaurants. This time i was told by the possible owner of the restaurant, that the carbonara has pork. I said yes i know. My son and i are brown. I said i am Sikh. I know Muslims dont eat pork and i can only assume he pointed it out to ME specifically because he thought i dont eat pork. He then went on explaining that oh i like to make sure my customers ate happy and know blah blah blah. I watched people come in after us, order and not have the ingredients clarified for them. I didnt want to make a fuss because my son is only 12 and did not pick up on the clear racism, implying that if we are muslim we cannot eat the dish. Assuming we are muslim because im brown and my son is a haircut sikh. We ate our carbonara which he split into 2 plates as if he was doing us a massive favour (my son and i would just have shared from one bowl, as we had starters and neither of us are big eaters) but ok never mind. I was left with a feeling of unease and after that found it hard to relax. We ate and packed our dessert order, paid and left. I doubt i will go back, which is a shame, because my husband and other 3 children all live very locally and would have liked a good local italian. But as they all look like me and my 12 year old son, i dont want to be given unsolicited advice about what i may or may not be allowed to eat based on my skin colour.

Great food and service. Varied menu options. We’ve visited previously for Sunday Lunch and it was amazing. Only frustration on our most recent visit, we had to wait outside from 4:30pm until they opened at 5:00pm even though the staff were in. We thought we’d seen that they were open sooner.

Have not been since last year must say food and service better than before.

They really should get their act together re opening hours, menus, etc. After checking on T/A (see photo) we went on a Friday at noon, only to find they didn’t open until the evening; I therefore checked opening hours on their actual website and booked today Saturday at 2pm; they were indeed open but - contrary to what is shown on the website (see photo) - the lunch set menu wasn’t available; truly amazing, as this is actually the ONLY menu shown on the website. According to the waiter, management can no longer offer a set menu and he didn’t know why so much conflicting information was shown (he thought there were 3 websites out there!). If I expect a set 2 or 3 course lunch menu (which looked good) it is pretty annoying to have spend more on just one course. To sum up, although my one course was very nice, with the competition in the Prestwich and Whitefield area, - where you do actually know in advance when and what you will be eatiing - this restaurant will not last very long.

First rate service - very friendly, efficient and helpful. Good seelction on the menu and all the food very well cooked and great to eat. Prices also very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

First time here and Telma was incredible with our 3 year old who was feeling unwell. She left full of beans (pizza) and all smiles. Telma is most definitely an asset to the team and we look forward to dining here again! P.S. the food was incredible too 🥰

We visit Babbo frequently and the food is always impeccable. Sergio has excellent wine recommendations and because of this we were able to try new types of wine that were delicious!

Probably the worst dining experience we have had rude staff bad and cold food had to wait 35 mins to order even though it wasn't full table next to us left with dirty glasses and bottles definitely not returning hear

Brilliant to find this lovely restaurant back to its authentic best. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed immensely our different dishes. Good portions offered great value and the house wine was very good quality. We tried the recommended bread and butter pudding...

Decided to try this restaurant for the first time last night. On arrival they told us where our table was but didn't actually show us to it. We ordered our drinks and my partners came before mine and we were told mine wouldn't be long....

The food is all really good. I had risotto which was creamy and moist. The calamari was perfectly cooked and like everything else was served very hot, not always easy with pasta. I'd have given 5stars except it was rather noisy and difficult to hear conversation, also the service was slow, presumably as it was very busy.

Have visited this evening having been regular visitors for over a year. Sergio has taken over management who we know from previous restaurant experiences. I’m sure he will make an already fantastic restaurant even better! We will be back soon!
