Always a great night when we are here

Having lived in Bury for 14 years, this was the first time I had eaten at Bella Italia and it won't be the last. I absolutely loved it. The staff were welcoming and professional, the atmosphere was warm and homely, the food delicious and plentiful, the cocktails superb. I can not wait to return. Thank you all so much.

Unfortunately not as good as it was previously.

A pretty dreadful experience all in all. Service was surly and inefficient. Food last lustre at best. Very disappointing. The only reason we didn’t complain was that we were being treated by our family. Won’t be returning.

Ordered a collection from Bella Italia for me and my girlfriend and it was fantastic! The salmon farfalle was the best we've had!!

Food was delicious. Unfortunately we weren't aware that with booking for our meal at 1pm the restaurant closed at 2pm so we had no time for a dessert and had to leave by 230.

Visited here for my birthday meal on Sunday. I used to visit here a lot several years ago. When I was looking for a venue that worked for everyone attending, location wise. I thought of here. Food and service was absolutely amazing and everyone has been talking about it since. One friend said she will be recommending it to her other friends. I definitely will not leave it as long before I visit again. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday meal.

I’ve been living in Bury for 4 years and regularly heard my friends say they eat at Bella Italia. Wrongly, I believed this to be the chain restaurants which I have visited and wasn’t massively impressed. Anyway, friends booked it and I went along. The service in this restaurant is suburb. The staff are attentive and friendly. The menu has lots on it and it’s really good value for money. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. What a gem of a restaurant that I didn’t even know existed. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until now. We will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely superb in every way. Great atmosphere and decor. The food and wine was exceptional. Best Spaghetti Carbonara I have ever had. Shiraz was lovely. Will definitely return.

The Pizzeria Bella Italia has been a personal favourite of mine for a long, long time, so when it came to choosing somewhere to go to celebrate my 60th birthday, it was obvious. We - me, my wife, daughter and partner, and my three grandchildren, - booked in for an early Saturday evening meal. It was brilliant. The food was - as it always is - excellent; the atmosphere was very relaxing, and the team looking after us was exceptional - they were particularly attentive to my grandchildren (all aged under 10 y.o.) providing them with activities to keep them occupied while we ordered and waited for our food. They really do ensure that patrons are well looked after. We love the Pizzeria Bella Italia and all that they do. It was a wonderful experience and I can't thank this long-standing, family-run establishment enough. We can't wait to be back there very soon, to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Reasonable Italian restaurant with some good offers

Had a wonderful dinner with my girlfriend here. Food was really delicious. Ordered some mussels and a garlic bread for starters, a risotto and pizza as our main. Can't forget how good they are. Caters are so nice and we really enjoy the night. Cheers.

We've been here twice in the past month, ordered exactly the same thing because it was so nice! We will eventually try other stuff 😅

A first visit today on a friend's strong recommendation. I chose the cannelloni from the varied and interesting menu. It was delicious, probably the best Italian restaurant meal I have ever had. Followed by a dessert of whopping big profiteroles with a scrumptious chocolate sauce. Staff friendly and helpful. Already looking forward to another visit 🇮🇹

Takeaway 😢 Vegetarian lasagna had a tasty tomato sauce but so disappointing as distinct lack of vegetables. At minimum I anticipated aubergine, courgette and mushrooms and onion... NOPE... 5 Peas, 3 pieces of corn and two centimetres of green beans. The garlic bread was cold and uncut.

Wow, what a nice little homely place to visit. Great service and good food. Only downside on a cold day is people using the disabled exit when not disabled and because of that, the heat in the resturant just goes, and if you are having a romantic meal for two.. you go from warm to very cold if you are sat anywhere near that exit. Don't let that put you off, though. If you are coming to Bury then this place has to be on your top 3 to visit for price and quality, and levels of service is really 2nd to none. Spot on.

A great family-run, family-friendly restaurant, caters well for large get-togethers and celebrations. The menu is wide and varied with a good mix of reliable Italian staples and fine dining options. The service is excellent, with many long-serving wait-staff; the hospitality and warm welcome is a highlight. They are exceptionally good at noting and catering to dietary requirements. I often takeaway their very competitive pasta/pizza deal.

Always great food & atmosphere.

On a wet Wednesday evening the Bella Italia was warm and welcoming, particularly all the staff that served us. Two of the ladies spent extra time to chat with us and it really made the evening. All the food we ordered was tasty and portions were generous, leaving only enough room for a shared lemon sorbet dessert with a Limoncello shot. Our only very slight point to make was that the Bruschetta lacked a little flavour. However, that did not detract at all from the feeling that we had enjoyed a Five Star evening meal here. We will definitely be returning!

Went for lunch with friends. Very nice meal at a good price (lunchtime special). It was very busy with a good atmosphere. Only issue was that we booked the table for 13:00 but didn't realise they closed at 14:00. We would have booked for an earlier time had we known.

As family and or friends we have been going to the Bella Italia ever since it opened and it's maintained exceptional service, superb food and great value for money even at a time when everything is going up cost wise.

Holy smoke, this is as far from Italy as it gets, "pan" which is lidl Tiger bread and ham out of a packet, olives from home bargins, seriously must do better guys, verona must be giggling 🤭 it's world's apart

Good atmosphere lovely food and good service.

The food was delicious, but the service needs attention. They got the number of people wrong, then food was missing from our pre-ordered list then they tried charging us £225 for an order that should have been £130! Apparently they had a trainee practicing on the till and 'accidently' left the extra food on ... I don't believe that for one second. Food was nice, I had the spicy pizza. They were a bit tight on the Nduja and chilli, but it was an alright pizza.

A romantic atmosphere and delicious food make this place a must-visit. xx

First time I've been here and found it very nice. A party of over 20 people, food pre-booked, the food came out all at the same time and was lovely and the service friendly

Working my way through the extensive and varied menu. Pizzeria Bella Italia never disappoints. Even if you can't eat pasta there is something for everyone. My favourite starter is their garlic mushrooms....omg so divine!!! Who'd of thought how delicious the humble mushroom can be when cooked the way Bella does. I can't fault the food, quality, staff, atmosphere and magic of this lovely restaurant in Bury. It is popular with all age groups and families as well as couples. I had mussels in garlic and white wine. The veg is al dente and beautiful. I always look forward to dining here as the food and staff make you feel at home and always welcoming.

I came for an evening meal with friends . There is a special evening deal but I just chose the lasagne . I didn’t like my lasagne and found it too solid , it was my first visit but not really keen to try again , lots of bottles hanging from the ceiling that looked dusty .

The wine was lovely, Rioja and at £20 quite reasonable. However, having eaten at this restaurant for well over 30 years, I was expecting the food to be of a reasonable standard, but this was not the case. All three of us came away extremely disappointed. We chose from the 2 course special menu, the starters were OK, but the ribs had very little meat on them. Giving the feeling that their view was that they are dining on the special menu, so let's give them the skinny ones. The main course of 2x pasta dishes and one risotto were really poor. Student on a budget standard. Tasteless, risotto overcooked and dry. I will say that the staff were lovely and served us well. I think the kitchen just let them down. We won't be returning any time soon.

Great food at a fair price and friendly staff

Really good Italian pizza, nice thin base and lovely toppings. I had the pizza opera and it was lovely! The service was very prompt and friendly and I visited at lunch time, the atmosphere was good. Music was at the right volume and had a very traditional feel to it. Would recommend!

Family celebration as eldest grandson of to start his career after uni. It’s such a lovely restaurant and such friendly staff. The food was delicious and I couldn’t finish mine. Would definitely recommend

This is the first time me and my little family have eaten here but certainly won’t be the last. Me and my partner had fish, Monkfish and Swordfish, both tasted so fresh and amazing. The biggest judge was our son who told us it was the best pizza he has ever eaten. Stunning venue, very friendly staff and a chef who truly knows out to cook amazing food. The food was fresh and delicious. nothing wqs too much trouble for the staff. they were pleasant and friendly and did not rush us. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Have dined here on many occasions without problems, but unfortunately this time the food was not up to the standard normally served as the portions smaller and lackng in flavour. The starters were served quickly and no sooner had we finished these than the main course arrived, if I wanted fast food I would have gone to Mcdonalds. As the restaurant was only half full I guess the staff were bored and thought this acceptable.

Average. The food was ok nothing special. Typical Italian restaurant.

Lasagne burnt service awful a cake brought out for my Grandson 13th Birthday which had been brought in by another table he was very embarrassed when the cake was whisked away!! Service charge £17 charged on 3 kids meals then to add injury they said Grandson sweet in the house due to error!! Then included paid up and got out of the place awful!!

It was quite a while before or drinks order was taken, by a young lady, we ordered wine and asked for water. The water never arrived. A while after the food order was taken, the lady misheard our main course food order, but it was soon rectified and the correct food arrived promptly. We managed to order some coffee eventually, after we got someone's attention. I have been in many times, and this has always been one of my favourite restaurants, but the service was really slow, possibly due to a large party being in at the same time. From being seated to leaving it took over 2.5 hours, luckily we were not in a rush. We asked for the bill and the young lady came over with the card machine to take payment, we split the bill, to make it easier we rounded it up by a few pence, she only asked one of us if we wanted a receipt. When the last payment she was taken, she turned round and walked off. We could not believe how rude she was, she never said Thank-you, raised a smile or anything. I'm presuming that she thought that the tip was mearly pence, I would rather leave a tip on the plate on the table, but because of her rudeness this was quiclky removed, and in fairness the service was slow, she forgot our water, and the end part was quite shocking in the hospitality business. It doesn't cost anything to be nice, maybe you'd have gone home with a tip, but not with behaviour like that. Not a chance.

Awesome Italian food. The ambience and service is really great.

This is a wonderful family run restaurant. The service is amazing, The atmosphere is great and the food is superb. Always consistently goods and the tiramisu is the best ever not just this side of Italy but anywhere on the planet. Thank you for a lovely evening and we will be back soon. Trevor & Mary

Excellent food and service at lunch time in a very nice environment

Frozen , microwaved food…. I had Calamari starter , had better, main meal was Salmon in white wine sauce.. Salmon was very dry, I say white wine sauce this is very debatable, tasteless gluey sauce.. the best thing was about the evening was the company and the choice of wine..when the waiter asks you how was your meal and you tell them he replied I shall tell the chef and you get no reply 🤦‍♂️.. just an apology would have sufficed, but alas nothing, definitely won’t recommend this place 👎🏻

Really fast efficient service, lovely pasta and gorgeous cocktails.

We used to go the Casa Mia and then here years ago, and have celebrated many occasions at the Bella Italia. Today it was my mum's 81st birthday so we had a lovely lunch for 4 in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The decor and layout have changed since we last came and it looks great. The food is as good as ever and is highly recommended if you love quality Italian food.

This family restaurant is always a delight. The service is everything that you would expect for a wonderful restaurant. The food is freshly cooked when ordered with special dietary needs taken into consideration by the expert chef. My favourite restaurant ever, I've enjoyed going here for more than 35 years, superb food and staff, I would eat there every day if I could, I really like the Calzone pizza which comes with a hug of bolognese sauce. Good range of beers and wine. Food is always fresh and delicious.

Went here for lunch today food not bad but the waiters leave something to be desired I actually commented on them not having a smile between them .
