Again fabulous meal. Staff are friendly and food delicious. Atmosphere is great and a perfect place to enjoy and evening.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought I would take the time out and let everyone know about the amazing dinner My partner and I had at Luigi’s pizza place in Chesham just after Christmas. On a crisp , cold night. this charming Italian has a great menu with a full range of choices. After some Italian wine we settled for a pizza and pasta. The food was amazing, service was outstanding, with the waitress being very attentive, professional, and extremely helpful. Even though the restaurant was busy, she took the time out to answer our questions about the area and what was open during the Christmas break. Thankyou - We will definitely be back for more !

Once again a warm welcome and great food. A small restaurant but personal. Food was great and cooked fresh. Owner and staff are engaging and great. Highly recommended place to go. You will keep going back as we do.

My partner and I regularly visit and are never anything other than amazed by the quality of food, service and price. The pizzas are freshly prepared and cooked and are the best in the area. Highly recommend as a little, friendly and authentic pizzeria.

Easily the best place to get pizza in Chesham. I'm very fussy about my pizza and this place hits the spot every time. Delicious hand shaped base, bubbly crust, EXCELLENT sauce and high quality mozzarella go into it's production. Very reasonable prices and the house wine is FANTASTIC. Service is excellent and you'll never feel rushed.

The staff couldn't have been nicer and the pizzas and carbonara we had were delicious. They were presented well, portions were generous and were very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I will now judge pizzas against this standard when I get back home. So, so good.

I love this place! Luigi, the owner is a genuinely warm and friendly host and his staff are so welcoming. Luigi makes his own sourdough, including gluten free. Great helpings of tasty, home made authentic Italian dishes. Relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Try this lovely place- you won’t regret it!

It’s been few months I came to eat at Luigi’s restaurant. Such a great place to have dinner at. Mandy and Luigi are such a great team. Very professional but also very friendly. You feel the familly atmosphere in the restaurant. You feel home there. And they are consistent ! The quality of food is great. The pizza paste is A-MA-ZING. Go for it ! Pastas are quite good. I’ve already had more than 12 dinner here and I’m will surely keep increasing this number !

really nice little italian restaurant in Chesham. Sourdough pizza really tasty and reasonable price especially on eat out to help out. Waitress and pizza chef very friendly and even let me take some sourdough starter home.

Yesterday i found this pretty small restaurant so i decided to order a Funghi pizza take away. One maltese girl was so nice and friendly and at the back there were two italian guys. One of them made the pizza. Once i said that i come from Florence they showed up with a big smile. The pizza was really tasty but what i appreciated more was their smile made me feel better. It was rain, windy and cold but expecially in this situation we live in at the moment a smile is a big medicine. Thank you and hope to see you again one day. All the best. Vanessa

Little gem in Chesham. Great food & service and very very reasonable prize wise. Dogs even allowed when not too busy!

Can't believe this place isn't busier, fabulous Italian food, great service and wine, and reasonably priced too, the Carbonara is fantastic, as is the Lasagne, and the pizza's are awesome. It's pretty small but cosy. Recommended.

Stopped by on our way home for a light bite. Rustic but really friendly atmosphere. Food was really tasty and served by a great team. We felt very welcome. As has been said, the sourdough pizzas have an exceptional taste, not to be missed. The rustic setting may put some off, but it adds to the charm

This place makes you feel like you're in Italy. Takes u away somewhere for the few hours u done here. Food is delicious. The owner is lovely and generous. This is a must!!!!

We had a group evening get together here and in fairness had a good time. The decor is basic/functional and the seating areas are cosy. Food was good without being exceptional and the service was also good. Not sure that the cost of the pizza I had was justified given the basic ingredients but even takeaway versions seem expensive. Would probably go again but I think there are better options in Chesham these days.

This is a versatile place as we enjoyed our breakfast very much. Ignore the menu which has fixed combinations and just ask for what you want and they will oblige, all cooked to order.

Amazing sourdough pizza in a great location. Staff are fabulous for a pizzeria, knowledgeable and friendly. A real must go to if you are in the area. It never disappoints

Today was our third visit. On visit one we had a delightful waitress. Our food took a while but we were assured it was being made fresh to order, and when it arrived it was tasty and good value. The cafe appeared clean. Second visit, furniture was moved around and we had a new server. She was more keen to talk to regulars but we eventually got a nice pizza. Visit three, same server as last time. Table was grubby and stained but we were starving so hung in as The Tavern around the corner was full. (I hope it wasn't urine stains on my bench seat - far left as you walk in - there was a dog running around and my corner was a bit smelly). Server ignored us while chatting to friends then finally came over to take our order but we didn't have a menu yet. The menu arrived and after she'd chatted even more I asked for our order to be taken. That's when she said Luigi, ? the chef, had gone out and she wasn't sure when he'd be back. So why give us a menu when she knew there was no cook? We went back to The Tavern and got a clean table next to friendly strangers and the servers there are on the ball

Who says pineapple doesn't go on a pizza? Try the Hawaiian here and your mind will be changed. Very reasonably priced, easy setting and I've just found out they are open for breakfast too. That is a true result

Three chilli pizzas ordered, got home and not one with chillis on ! Phoned up and advised that chilli oil used instead, no apology. Bases were were black and cremated. Raw tinned tomatoes on top. Never again, disgusted.

Food was ok but service was awful. Incredibly slow and haphazard. We were the only table and it still took 45 minutes for some pasta and a pizza to appear. When we had finished it took them forever to half clear the table and eventually the chef cleared the rest once he had finished chatting to his friends. Nobody asked if we wanted anything else (we had planned to have coffee) but after two hours we felt we would be there for the rest of the day if we ordered any. When we asked for the bill the waitress was incredibly patronising to my elderly father who was paying. He may be hard of hearing but otherwise he is incredibly sharp. Not surprised we were the only table,we won't be back.

I've been here a few times now and, each time, the food has been fabulous and the people friendly. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

This is a family friendly restaurant with authentic delicious Italian food. We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. We do always book as its a very small space (some of the tables are a bit odd in terms of situation but it would never put us off!) and they have always had space for us. We attended early evening on Saturday with our young nieces and they were absolutely excellent with them. One of our nieces asked if they had sweetcorn for her Margarita pizza, and he very kindly asked his chef to pop out to Sainsburys to get some! We never would have expected them to do that. Our niece ended up making friends with the chef who hugged her goodbye. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and wanted to say thank you with a great review even though I fear like the other reviewers it will make it harder to get a table!

I can't get enough of this place..ive been lots of times since. Great place to catch up, food is fresh and cooked to order so expect waiting time. It's like being in Italy!!!

We were in town and fancied a bite to eat so thought we’d give this place a try. It was quiet busy but were seated straight away. We both ordered a pizza and some wine. The pizza came out really quick and they were both fabulous, a proper pizza. We will be back and keep up the good work.

The pizza is excellent and very good value. It was busy when we arrived and there was quite a bit of a wait, the staff seemed at least one person down.

I visited here with my wife tonight. We always walk past this restaurant on our way down the high street and say how "cute" it is but finally we decided to visit. We are so glad that we did!! At around 8pm, we sat down at a lovely table next to the window (we were able to watch the world go by). The restaurant is small, cosy and really welcoming. The service was superb from start to finish. The food was the best part - perhaps the best pasta we've ever had (carbonara) and the pizza was so tasty (mozzarella, italian sausage and italian broccoli).

I love this place! Great food in a cosy, friendly restaurant & I always get a hug from Luigi (chef/owner) which is worth going for alone!! It’s getting busier so either we have to stop telling people how good it is or he needs a bigger space!

Great food, very good value for money, exceptional service. My only complaint is that there were a number of things on the menu that were unavailable on the evening we visted, but this didn't spoil my visit.

I have known him since he opened Liri , he and his wife has done a great job, you get a warm welcome as always. Can be a bit manic at times so Don't be put off as it's quite small inside and Luigi likes his music load (turn the base up mate) I visit most weeks and he and the staff are very friendly and nothing is to mush trouble.

What a little gem of a place. Pizza pasta all the normal Italian food but all cooked fresh. Would highly recommend a visit but make sure you book as it’s rather small. Fantastic coffee and friendly staff.

Four of us had a pre-theatre dinner and were impressed at the small-scale reinvention of this establishment. Previously simply a cafe, it now opens in the evening for dining. Tiny venue, but good use of the space so it doesn't feel cramped. It's welcoming, unfussy, unpretentious, and with a quintessentially Italian quirkiness.

we needed a quick bite to eat before the show in elgivia theatre. couldn't find anything online suitable and found this place purely by chance. Outside it looks like a just run of the mill cafe, don't be fooled this place is a foodies delight. rustic on the outside and Small inside but cosy, fantastic hosts, there were specials on offer but we opted for a quick pizza,. it didn't disappoint, very good pizza good rustic starters and excellent wine!!, all approved by my fussy Italian husband, very good value for money, will definitely go here again when going to the theatre as so near/ excellent quick service and good food, recommend this to anyone on night ou,t young adults and family and kids restaurant, , this deff needs a visit from other foodies and i hope this write-up will make people aware what a little gem they have serving authentic Italian food!in Chesham ! excellent service excellent food!!

Luigi gives a warm welcome to everyone in addition to delicious home-cooked Italian food. Limited menu but all very tasty.

Great value pizza and pasta in the heart of Chesham. Bruschetta starter is lovely and they enlarged the portion for three at the same price. Will be returning.

We enjoyed brunch, coffees as well as late night pizza here. Very friendly Italian proprietor who is proud of his sourdough pizza bases. Unfortunately we couldn’t try those but there gluten free bases were yummy. We’d happily go back.

They have just started doing pizzas. This is the authentic pizza, made by a real Italian in a proper pizza oven! Tasty! Can be full on a busy night so best to ring first. They do a full English breakfasts during the day as well. It may take a while if he's busy, but worth the wait!

Locale intimo dove si può respirare un'autentica atmosfera italiana. Ora con il nuovo arredo è migliorato moltissimo. Piatti semplici e buoni. Il titolare Luigi è davvero accogliente e simpatico. Ormai io e il mio compagno siamo diventati clienti fissi.

Liri Cafe es un restaurante encantador café llevado en el corazón de Chesham. El dueño y chef Luigi es el chico maravillosamente talentoso y apasionado, muy complacientes y un fantástico cocinero. Vine en la tarde para algunos bolognaise, él había acabado así sugirió que podría preparar algunas gambas linguini. . . fue increíble, ingredientes comprados para ese día. También este lugar para un gran ambiente familiar y buena comida.

Liri hay una pequeña cafetería italiana justo en el centro de la ciudad. Así como los asientos en el interior, hay un par de mesas enfrente que parece un buen lugar para ver el mundo pasar en un día soleado.

Música y un agradable ambiente agradable aquí. Personal encantador y servicial. Helado italiano y buen menú italiano. Frente al pub generals de armas. Precioso cuppacino y café. Panini y comidas desayuno y ambos eran sabroso y fresco. Lugar concurrido y popular.

Came here on Boxing Day with the family (5 of us altogether). Food made from fresh and was really lovely - all of us thought so. Very friendly service. Will definitely visit again.

Cosy café with seating outside. Pleasant atmosphere. Shops and supermarkets nearby with market days being Wednesday and Saturday. Ideal location.

Popped in for tea on a cold, damp afternoon. Ended up having the most delicious bacon roll ( and tea ). My wife had an egg roll ( with 2 eggs ) which was also delicious. Excellent service. Will be back.

Small Italian cafe cooks basic tasty snacks, the bruschetta is the best around. Always have it when I go there. Very reasonably priced. Real Italian ice cream in the summer.
