Costa Coffee in Chiltern

We were served by Dzhanan from last couple of months and she's always absolutely delighted and kind with every single customer. She deserved our feedback such a reason today we decided to leave our review here and also recommend to others try to choose costa amersham for best coffee ever nice sitting place and lovely staff with great atmosphere 👍

Worst Costa I have been in. Staff are rude and not friendly at all . Today the guy serving was more interested in writing on his laptop then serving me had to say hello... Are you going to serve us. It's also freezing and the toilets are filthy.

Excellent food and very quick and professional service,also clean and polite barristors.

The space is nice, the staff is kind, but coffee is not very tasty. And toilets are not clean.

We were served by Michael who was an absolutely delightful young man. Really kind and attentive and made superb coffee. Highly recommended and we will be back

the food is appalling. I ordered a toasty, it looked rather tasty 😋 when taking a bite, it fell apart in my hands.

Nice cafe. Breakfast meal deal however this store has been downgraded to a “beige store” this means it doesn’t carry the full range of food - only breakfast baps available were all meat - I’m not veggie but just like their other breakfast baps but did have a bacon one this morning which was nice. Staff are nice, cafe is clean, easy to get a seat & less crowded & noisy at weekends than other cafes so more relaxed. With Costa you know what you are getting as fairly consistent branch to branch

regular costa coffee with friendly staff would not recommend the boba tho - the popping pearls had a thick skin which meant they only popped when you bit on them

Staff are really friendly. I go in twice a day at Amersham and they all know my orders. Have a good chat and laugh with the staff. Always quick with your order and polite.

Seemed nice, offered to bring my coffee to me, however then called me across. He was polite however, and the place was clean. Both toilets were wrecked however, the doors blocked off.

I have to admit that the staff here goes extra mile to make you feel comfortable and they are paying attention to your needs and your kids needs. Definitely recommend this nice place for a coffe or food. Keep up with the good work.

No choice what so ever for gluten free. Staff don't seem to understand English either. I felt like I was speaking swahili! 8yr old fussy eater just wanted a sandwhich without cheese. Nothing to offer him. Asked if they could make him a jam sandwich. Even this was out of the question. The toilet was completely flooded. It was broken around 3 weeks ago also. Also when I felt staff had no comprehension of my obviously Swahili tongue! No idea why the teens and tweens like it so much????? Very poor and over priced in my opinion.

A good effort, friendly and my hot chocolate was well prepared. They offered sprinkles without being asked!

Bulk standard Costa. Served by a lovely, friendly barista. Had take out but used the customer toilet whilst here which is definitely in need of a facelift and damn good clean. Coffee was delicious!

Great coffee shop with a variety of tasty drinks and snacks. Clean seating inside and outside and friendly staff. However, there is normally quite a big queue due to the lack of staff working there.

Great coffee but to many people use this shop to sit at tables with laptops and buy nothing, also take away food brought in from Waitrose and M & S across the road. Financial loss here Costa. Management get a grip and make it better by not allowing this to happen.

The door to the kitchen slams shut every time a staff member enters or leaves the kitchen. It’s a really loud bang. It’s been like that for weeks. I won’t be going there again

Paid for 2 drinks but waited 30 minutes for the drinks 4 staff just standing around come in Coata get sorted out

Coffee good as what you would expect from Costa. But staff should definitely change the attitude! Making faces in front of the customers is a big no no. Sarcastic smile can be left for your break young girl in training. Won't be in a hurry to come back here again.

Clean and not too busy. Pick up counter can get a bit busy and not much room for trays - be careful, I caught mine on a corner of another tray spilling my coffee. I explained what had happened and they were very nice about it. Thank you.

Popped in today , asked where Olly was, told he was sacked . He was so lovely . The ones left are rude, last time I was in I saw one staff member shouting at him.

Just having a cup of coffee in Amersham Costa coffee what delightful staff, welcoming, friendly and chatty. A real pleasure to sit here and have a coffee. Thank you to them.

Really great experience to have a coffee at Costa, tidy but floor slightly wet due to the Rain and Unfortunately nobody was wiping the floor at the time I was there otherwise all good.

OK, lockdown #2 comes with a raft of new problems for cafes but the last thing you need in trying circumstances is to queue inside needlessly while the person in front of you orders 10 drinks for the office. New rule needed Costa: if you want more than a couple of drinks you must order ahead.

The staff was rude. The woman working there used dirty jugs, was careless when handing me my drinks which caused them to spill and didn't even apologise. The customer toilets were closed and only the staff ones were open, so a lot of people went there but I got told off for it though there was nothing else I could do. They were openly gossiping about customers so they could hear it. The whole place was dirty, they didn't clean up after customers and stood around instead of doing their job. Unpleasant experience, will not be returning

Typical costa but what’s typical? shouting at the baristas through plexiglass, particularly mutton here, or is it just me? cramming them in more than most costas, Track’n’ trace! i say!

I’ve started using the coffee shop a lot more since the main library’s closed. The people that work there are really sweet and kind. Sometimes when me and my friend are doing schoolwork the staff will offer us the leftover pastries.

Very comfortable. Great coffee. Only problem is that they frequently run out of ice towards the end of the day. I would suggest that they get more ice so it lasts longer.

Hot drinks good but service is so so slow

The woman in charge of this branch is rude to staff and unwelcoming to customers. The coffee is dependent on who is making it and they reuse dirty jugs to boil the milk. No receipts given and frequent overcharging. Stopped drinking coffee here due to concerns about hygiene and standards. Please send someone from head office to sort this out. The customers of Costa deserve better.

Can get very busy not ideal for wheelchairs and the to cut down on on the amount of sugar in their drinks

Amersham Costa is nice a spacious, with lots of natural light and the staff #ROCK and of cause the coffee ☕ is #AMAZING 😁

Standard Costa coffee and cake. Price as expected. However, toilet dirty and unhygienic. Cutlery in cafe not clean. Dishwasher filters need checking? Staff standing around gossiping when clearly there are issues to be addressed. Please someone from area office come and make an impromptu visit to confirm, or otherwise, my experience.

Avoid this place. I haven't yet found anywhere around here that makes good coffee. the sandwiches are poor and overpriced. It's noisy and the staff s-l-o-w. It takes professionals about 320 seconds to make a superb coffee. Here it's a performance. Not interested.

Visited my daughter at 4pm on the weekend. Coffee shop had some lovely seats Awful coffee . I will not be returning.

Nice atmosphere, but the employees could try to rein in their hyperactivity and shouting amongst themselves at times. They can be extremely loud and immature. Drinks and breakfast/snacks are decent.

I was taken here by a relative, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very good coffee; I had my arm twisted to have cake as well! Very tasty.

My wife and I go into this Costa regularly. It is by far the best coffee shop in Top Amersham. The staff are friendly and helpful and the refurbished store creates a pleasant environment.

Bad service , i usually go to this branch when i come to tesco this time they have done the poor service and not professional for customer .

Dirty and unfriendly. It was almost empty and every table I checked (at least 5) was dirty. We took the lest dirty. Hygiene is not staff priority. It looks like staff is only friendly with regular customers. They didn’t answer our bye

This is a nice calm place situated in beautiful Amersham. If you happen to visit Amersham,try this coffee shop. This is quite spacious with variety of options of coffee and snacks. You can enjoys morning coffee with Breakfast or evening tea with snacks. This will be all time favorite. Try white coffee here.

Me and my husband ordered a medium hot chocolate each with cream and marshmallows, plus a millionaires shortbread to share. Found it a bit weird that the marshmallows came on the side. Also there was only one staff member whivh neant the wait was a little long, but the drink and little treat was scrummy. The place was clean and inviting with plenty of seating.

The drinks are great it's just overpriced and the workers aren't that friendly and nice.

It was amazing, the chia latte was the hottest I've had so far. Usually they are served lukewarm and I like them extra hot. Thank you

Elevenses calling and time to try seasonal coffee while Christmas shopping. Busy but three staff working hard so not much of a queue but some tables uncleared Ginger bread special a bit tasteless, but compensated by a choice of cakes. Not too noisy. Interesting pictures, a big one along one wall, and some diptychs. At least two other coffee houses within yards so some competition, but apparently their flat whites much bigger than Nero’s!

Always lovely service at either Chesham or Amersham. Plus Costa have a gorgeous Clementine drizzle cake. Yummy.

We use this Costa almost every day and are never disappointed! Always quick and friendly service and a nice ambience. No drink is ever too much trouble and they are always delicious along with it the usual good cakes and sandwiches.

On Thursday went in with my son. It was busy but service was good drinks perfect . 5 stars . Sunday went in with my daughter three serving they got the order wrong and the drinks were lukewarm . Shame .

Went into your shop at about midday today havent been into your amersham branch for sometime they were always a very friendly bunch of staff and always very quick with there service what has happened there were so slow and didn't really inteact with the customer they Were serving very poor as I usually go to your Costa in amersham tesco store I think they need to go and watch your staff in there and learn something as they are a very friendly and great service.still love Costa Coffee😍

I visited the Costa Coffee cafe in Amersham for a very short time. There was a queue and I did not buy a drink. It looked like a good quality Costa Coffee cafe though.

Seems to be under new management (August 2018) and things are better. Staff are friendly and 2 improvements I always wanted as a tea drinker have been implemented: semi-skimmed milk and pyramid tea bags. The tea tastes so much better.

Could not make a coffee to costas high standards not happy at all.

Good service at the counter, tables not cleared very quickly.

Usual menu and the chiller always seems full here. The seating is well spaced out for ease of entry and this branch attracts the young mums.

Coffee ! Does what it says on the tin

Very upset at staff approaching me and my 3 year old to ask for my child to be quiet due to people studying. As I'm aware this is a public space and is for everyone to use. My child was having fun and giggling I felt it completely out of order and unnessessary to approach us. The staff member stated she was sorry and embarrassed to ask me. Amersham Costa is very large and we made a point of going to the other end of the shop for our hot chocolates. I called costa complaints and we were given a email saying they were sorry about this and that they would give the amersham staff training in explaining to the other customers Costa is a family friendly shop. The operator was disgusted at how we were treated and said that the other customer should have gone to the library!!! We were given a £10 voucher

Very courteous and helpful and excellent coffee. Very difficult access to the premises for a disabled person because of the very heavy doors. I require assistance to get into the premises

I was invited there with a friend for a morning coffee. The place was clean and relatively busy. They did not have the coffee I asked for. The service was very slow
