Service has declined, teaspoon randomly snatched away by a waiter on the way past, waitress hovering to take plates the moment we finished, are you short of plates and cutlery?…doesn’t make it a relaxing experience

I'm a local Amersham resident and frequent Barracuda fairly regularly for English vegitarian breakfast or brunch. I've always had a good experience here. The staff are friendly, courteous, efficient and enjoy the service and refreshment they provide to their patrons. This is a slick, smoothly run traditional cafe. The menu is a good, portions good, quality good and pricing very reasonable. Basics done to a high standard. Furthermore, being a key worker and recognised regular; I've been generously given a small discount on some occasions which is a lovely touch which displays good customer service and genuine gratitude from fellow hard workers. I'd highly recommend this chalming successful establishment. Thank you

This restaurant is amazing! One of my favourites! The service is so quick, and every waiter has a smile on their face. The food is also delicious and great quality. The atmosphere is overall just extremely positive. Will be coming again!

Great food, great value, friendly warm service.

There was one person whom made the experience great. Although once we got our food no one came up to check on us, nor when paying were we asked how the meal was. One of us had pasta and the other some chicken with veggies, both had cream. With the pasta dish, the pasta was undercooked, we had asked for bacon and they used ham. The chicken with the veggies wasn’t that bad. However the cream was very sickly and had no flavouring. Food service was extremely quick, however would appreciate better food even if it meant it would take longer. Won’t be coming back again.

I visited the Barracuda for a Saturday lunch, with my wife and son. The staff are incredibly kind and responsive. The food is wholesome and hearty: extremely tasty and enjoyable. The whole operation is so slick: fresh food, delivered extremely quickly. This establishment is all substance and really impressive! We all loved it: like being back in Rome! Superb, just superb!

From exclusively a foodie perspective the food was only ok. A very standard Italian menu. Not bad food but honestly nothing special. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and cosy.

Happened to be in Amersham yesterday for an appointment and decided to find somewhere to get breakfast. Looked on Google, found Barracuda (with great reviews), decided to try it and was definitely not disappointed! The food was lovely, service was great and atmosphere really welcoming! I would happily recommend this place :)

Just home from another great visit to Barracuda with daughter and two young children. They are wonderful with the kids and really spoil them. We had a delicious breakfast and felt very relaxed with the warm welcome. Will definitely visit again soon.

A lovely little place with a lovely atmosphere and usually is not busy. Service is quick and friendly. Food is lovely and the English breakfast is the best I’ve ever had. Would certainly recommend the Baracuda to all visiting Amersham.

We arrived today with lunch. My son is disabled and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The venue is clean (including the toilets) and the food is beautiful and great value. As we left they brought my son some sweets and made it very clear we are welcome back. I asked about evening meals and flexibility because of his sensory concerns and they are willing to help in anyway they can! Taste, value, cleanliness and service! You have to eat here ❤️❤️

We just had a really tasty 3 course meal here with a cocktail each, beer and smoothie for under £70. Great service, tasty fresh food. Friendly atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing place to eat, drink, relax and keep going again and again. We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 10) living local and regularly walk for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink or ice cream. The food is great, comes quick and has great variety and all for a good price. The most impressive thing though is the staff and how friendly they all are, especially Eddy the owner. It's a real positive place and you feel really welcome. Nice touches all over the place and a super friendly welcome. Keep up the good work. Just had a cold coffee and kids ice cream after a bike ride!

We chose the Barracuda for our Annual Social Group Post-AGM meal. The Food and Service has always been, and still is, excellent and they dealt with our large group of 40 incredibly well.

We were a group of around 37 diners for dinner last Saturday evening. As soon as we arrived the welcome was so warm and friendly. The food was served in good time and was really delicious. Apart from having a good meal in comfortable surroundings the efficiency and friendliness of the staff was second to none.

We just came across this spot to grab a coffee but ended up getting food too and I can honestly say the food and customer service was 10/10. It was amazing and I would definitely visit again!

Was ok. Very noisy place. Ordered a jacket potato , cheese and beans, I had about a dessert spoonful of beans , my friend got swamped with them, I asked for some more, and got told that they were under the cheese... er no they weren't.. made me feel awful for pointing it out..

Our go to place for breakfast if day tripping to London. Treated like visiting the family, tea and coffee is served hot and fast. Service is warm and friendly and the breakfast generous and tasty with two thick slices of lightly toasted bread with grilled tomato, thick bacon and chunky sausage, mushrooms and egg. You may need to flag someone to pay as they will be more interested in serving first!

Lovely friendly atmosphere always make you feel welcome. Good value for money.

We eat here regularly, sometimes we sit in for lunch, other times we get a takeaway and on occasion we’ll pop in to grab a coffee and a chat. The staff are always friendly and happy to chat, especially Eddie the manager, but also the waiting staff and even the chef will take a few moments to say hello. The food is always fresh and cooked to order as well as quite reasonably priced, don’t go in if you’re not hungry because the portions are generous. If you are feeling brave order the Calzone, it’s a monster of a meal but so delicious.

We have visited the Barracuda a few times now. Last time I had an excellent calzone, today I had the best homemade burger I have ever been served. I am not fond of chain restaurants, but their burgers are a staple. The Barracuda’s homemade burger was perfectly seasoned, juicy and a delight with every bite. The fries were plentiful and when I asked for Mayo, a good size ramekin arrived with plenty in it. Sorry chain burger companies, you have something to live up to.

Fantastic little place,found it last week,while walking through Amersham,poped in ,and couldn't believe how clean,and so cheep prices ,staft make u feel welcome, food is served in a silly fast time,and omg iv eaten just sandwiches so far,the bread I'm sure is home made,super fresh,and full of fillings, coffee is proper Italian coffee,making a trip once a week to vist,as not my home town,but deffo worth a travel ,ps milkshakes are lush 😀, Fantastic little treasure trove 😁😁😁

Lo staff e' veramente eccezionale. Le pietanze medio buone. Non si puo' definire un vero ristorante italiano, ma il solito italiano adattato al gusto inglese con panna ovunque. Pero' una nota di merito per il fatto che la pasta e' servita al dente (alleluia!) e l'impasto della pizza e' buono.

I dined at the Barracuda last Saturday evening as part of a group of 32 persons. The service was second to none; friendly smiles from the staff and excellent efficient service throughout. The food was brought out without any delay and all dishes looked good. My beef stroganoff was really delicious as was the apple pie to follow. Congratulations to the chefs for producing really good food in good time. The staff worked really hard but remained cheerful.

Very poor attitude of waitress one in particular - European woman with glass hair and glasses - she appears racist giving poor service to an elderly black couple whilst being very friendly and jovial with white customers. I am white but its a shame to see foreigners doing this in my country. If they can't behave probably, they should go back to their own country where they can behave however they want

We meet friends here every few months, lovely place to have a lunch, great value and portions that fill the plate. Staff are friendly and attentive. Always busy at the weekends, booking a table is a must.

Had a number of breakfasts here, the eggs benedict is delicious and the fry-up is also great (although do remember to ask for your beans to be in a separate bowl otherwise they are under the egg which is not to my taste)

Penna arrabiata here is excellent! I was less impressed with the veggie breakfast however as they had no veggie sausages! The head waiter is nice and friendly.

We go here a lot with the kids - very family-friendly with great service and good menu. Nice home cooked pasta dishes and a mean full English breakfast.

Had a an omelette as light as feather and my partner had the full English. Good quality ingredients used. Service efficient. However, somewhat lacking in atmosphere. Although, I would like to try other dishes from a wide ranging menu.
