Great service Ionut and his team were amazing, very courteous and professional. The starters were amazing, the mains were a bit of a let down, overall a nice dining experience.

Service was friendly and efficient. Good choice on the menu and at a reasonable price. We all enjoyed the meals we ate. Very well presented and cooked and decent size portions. Would certainly go again but would prefer a better choice of available timings rather than choosing between the early or late sittings.

Excellent food and service. Delicious roast salmon, new potatoes and green beans with cream pesto sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Zaza, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff and seated in a cosy corner with soft candlelight and rustic Italian decor. The atmosphere was inviting, with the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Our meal began with a classic mozzarella garlic bread—simple yet bursting with flavour. For the main course, I ordered the house-made carbonara, while my partner enjoyed the chicken skewers with risotto. The carbonara was rich and creamy, with perfectly cooked pasta coated in a silky sauce made from egg, parmesan, and crispy pancetta. The chicken skewers were grilled to perfection, juicy, and seasoned beautifully, complementing the creamy, saffron-infused risotto. The highlight of the evening was the dessert—a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was light yet indulgent, the perfect ending to an incredible meal. The service was impeccable, with our server attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Zaza delivered an authentic Italian experience, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone craving exceptional Italian cuisine!

Food wasn't great definitely overpriced, what is it restaurants think it's ok to serve skin on french fries cheap assed chips ,for a table of 11 waiter bordering on rude didn't get the drink I asked for .sevice charge of almost £50 quid for what mediocre food rude service .best thing wast the fake tree in the middle of the resterant. Won't be going back .

We were a large group of book club ladies and their partners who have known each other for years. We are of a certain age and know what we like. We liked Zaza. They are very well equipped to deal with large groups. Service was slick and friendly. Nothing too much effort. Food portions are just right and all the different dishes were well received. There is plenty of choice on the menu for even the fussiest of food challenged pallet. The decor is so unusual and we would go back.

Food was good , but waiters were all grumpy , and could not care less. Manager not much better. 12.5% service automatically added not deserved Won't go back, there are far better places to eat in Amersham.

Great food reasonably priced, but the fixed 12.5 per cent service charge is absurd for this kind of restaurant. The waiter spoke to us 4 times! Why don't they charge more for the food so the chef and interior staff get paid fairly and properly as they should? If the front of house staff are good then I will reward them accordingly. That way we all feel we have earned our money.

ZaZa What a great Resturant this is. The setting In Old Amersham couldn’t be better, the interior design brilliant and the staff wonderful: Salvatore the main man, supported by Yorn, Catalina, Andy & Alan - I hope I haven’t missed someone out, are all wonderfully welcoming and superb with their attention to detail. The food, we must not forget the food and the skill of the chefs, is superb, beautifully presented with wonderful flavor’s. We have been going there for years and are never disappointed. A first visit to this particular branch of this expanding restaurant chain. Clearly, as I've given it all 5 stars, it is up to the standard of the others I've been to although I still prefer the original one in Rickmansworth.

Excellent value for money, friendly staff

We wanted to have an early family dinner as my granddaughter is under 3 years old so we chose Zaza's in Amersham. We weren't disappointed, were welcomed by friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and served in good time, perfect for families so will be back there again soon.

We arrived without a booking on a Friday night, but they were happy to squeeze us in. We had a lovely meal. The food and service were both excellent and the atmosphere was great.

We usually go to the Zaza in Berko but Amersham did not disappoint! The service was great and we had just come back from Italy and would say the food at Zaza was much better. Had the seafood linguine and lamb ragu and was so delicious! The restaurant looks fab with the tree and just had a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Although the food was truly delicious the service was distasteful. We were barely greeted at the door and I almost saw the look of disgusted on the waitresses face as if I did not belong in that environment for obvious reason!!! Shocking!!! What a shame as the food was amazing.

Lovely location, full of vibe, pleasant service. The fritti fungi starter is still one of my all-time favourite starters (of any restaurant ever) This is from the same menu as ZaZa in Berkhamsted and it's great there too; I venture to suggest the salad garnish was even better at the Old Amersham location. But it's just such a beautiful tasting starter. Had steak today, and it was beautiful. Zaza's is fabulous.

My partner and I recently dined at Zaza in Amersham for our anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. The crab and prawn pasta, topped with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese + the rib eye steak were delicious. The restaurant added to the celebration by offering complimentary glasses of champagne and a delightful "happy anniversary" dessert. The food was excellent, but the service truly stood out—exceptionally attentive and warm. We loved every moment of our visit and highly recommend this Italian gem! The staff were so friendly and welcoming 💛

Six of us for a birthday x birthday girl was given a lovely glass of bubbly and after all of us having really good food they presented her with a birthday tiramisu accompanied by singing x za za is consistently good 👍

Dined here yesterday, the service was excellent and food really good, I had calves liver, absolutely delicious. The service charge which was automatically added to the bill was well deserved.

Remarkable food, service and ambience. It's rare that you eat somewhere and someone has taken care of details to this level. The food was simply delicious. Delicate flavours and textures for all three courses. I had calamari, sea bass and berry Panna cotta. All three were delicious. We had a group booking of 15 people and such care was taken to ensure our evening out was fantastic.

We dined for the first time here recently. The restaurant is very nice, but perhaps it needs some more soft furnishings as it was very loud. We enjoyed the food immensely. The mushroom starter came with a lovely salad. The food all arrived piping hot and which is so appreciated. !! Tuna steaks and chicken were enjoyed immensely, along with pasta dishes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, and plan to go back. Thank you

Every time I come to Zaza Old Amersham they always deliver excellent food and service. If you are celebrating a special occasion they always go out of their way to make it ‘extra’ special especially for birthdays. The staff are so attentive and it really is a lovely place to eat. I couldn’t recommend enough.

Took my friend to lunch for her birthday where she was presented with a glass of bubbly on arrival then a dessert after her main mail. Both such a lovely and unexpected surprise for all of us (my daughter joined us later). This is my third time at Zaza and enjoy very much the whole experience. Thank you and keep up the good work.

The surroundings in this restaurant are lovely and the kitchen is great, producing a quality of food above the rather boring and unchanging menu. Service was efficient and courteous, but not particularly personal. Overall, will go again, especially as I live very close. I’d use more frequently if the menu evolved from time to time.

Excellent food, very poor service. Once you're sat down they're all over you to make sure you order drinks and starters/mains, but after that you're ignored. I had to go and find a server to request a dessert menu, only for someone to return ages later with the bill. The service was just very slow and the guy that comes around to take payment was plain rude. We used to go here a fair bit, but will find somewhere else in future. a 12.5 service charge for such indifferent and rude service isn't warranted.

Awful experience on Mother’s Day. Rushed out of the restaurant when the restaurant had overbooked to cash in on Mother’s Day. No information on the booking about a minimal time slot available. Will not be going back to this overpriced eatery again.

Came for a meal with family (16 of us) for my wife's 60th birthday. Were allocated one of the private dining rooms upstairs. Pre-ordered all menu choices in advance. Had numerous emails prior to dining where every query I had was answered swiftly and to my satisfaction. On the night the birthday girl was given a free glass of prosecco. The room was set up wonderfully for us. We were allocated our own waitress for the evening. I should have got her name but didn't. She was just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and every query dealt with immediately. Considering how much food was being served every dish was what had been ordered and delivered to the correct person. The food itself was of an exceptionally high standard. Special mention to the Branzino, Lamb Shank, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Crème Brulee. We were not rushed and each course was delivered when I felt we were ready as opposed to it being rushed out from the kitchen as quickly as possible. This is the first time I have organized such an evening and can honestly say that it was one of the best dining experiences ever. My wife truly enjoyed her birthday meal, Thank you to all the staff at Zaza who made this such a memorable evening.

Cute Italien restaurant with plenty of space around the tables. I went there with my son and we both enjoyed the food, slightly out of the ordinary which meant it was more interesting than the standard Italien fare

Very nice food served in a lovely atmosphere. The olive tree decorating the restaurant is a good conversation piece. We went on a Monday and had the set menu. Good choice of dishes and plenty of choice if you don't eat meat.

Fantastic experience! The food for everyone was first class!

My husband and I went for his birthday lunch on Monday . The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday, which was surprising but had a nice ambiance. We found the service friendly and attentive and the food arrived at pleasant intervals. It was well presented and hot! We both chose from the a la carte menu but there were so good options on the lunch special menu. Our dishes were well presented and delicious. A very pleasant birthday lunch experience

Monday evening and one of few restaurants open in town, so pretty busy. Lovely atmosphere, prompt polite service from arrival. Wide choice on the menu and wine list and good advice offered by waiting staff. Drinks, water and starters promptly served and very nice. Slightly longer wait on main course but once served enjoyed. Would recommend for sure.

Came here tonight for Italian set menu. Great value. The antipasto starter was fantastic and an enormous portion. Really enjoyed the whole meal. Staff also amazing. Only quibble I ordered the bucanti amatriciana but got trofie( and was over cooked) pasta instead. I didn't really mind the swap out although i wouldn't normally be served with this sauce. Normally a pesto etc. But as with a friend not seen In years I didn't mention. But after being a general manager of an Italian for 15 years would have loved to be told and pick my own instead and just swapped out. I wouldn't let it stop me going again as I thought overall was great.

With lots of lovely restaurants in Amersham I don’t go here that often. The food is perhaps a little unimaginative, and the menu rarely refreshed, but what you get is excellent. I had calves liver, it was really well executed and the spinach and beans side was a nice change from what seems to be a glut of tenderstem broccoli inthe restaurant trade. Your chef is really good, but perhaps give them a bit more space. Well priced in comparison to the many expensive restaurants in Amersham.

Very accommodating, delicious food, great staff

Nice food and very accommodating of my gluten free diet. However, 45 minutes after we placed our order, there was no sign of our food. I asked the waitress and it turned out our ticket had been 'lost'. The waitress apologised and our food came promptly afterwards. Of course, I fully understand that mistakes happen - we are all human! However, I was surprised that we were not offered any compensation and that we were still expected to pay service charge. Furthermore, we had to chase for the bill and eventually ended up walking around the restaurant to find a member of staff to take the payment. The meal was lovely, but I really was not impressed by the service. I have heard of many friends who've had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant, so perhaps this is just a one off!

4 stars due to the lack of vegan options, except one pasta dish and side dishes.I visited Zaza in Amersham for the second time and I love the place for many reasons. As a vegan, I prefer eating in places with more choices on the menu. My vegetarian family members ate very well here.

First time visiting this restaurant on my son’s invitation and recommendation! Was last minute so the only booking slot available was 5:45pm.. two of the 4 diners were stuck in traffic so arrived 40 mins late and although the staff let us know that they will need our table they were very gracious and gave the best service! The place was packed and I know why! Food was delicious, the atmosphere is so relaxed and the decor is beautiful! Everything about this place is 10/10.. I expected the bill to be much more! 2 cocktails, rum and coke, 2 soft drinks, 3 glasses of wine.. bread and olives, 4 starters and 4 mains of steak and fish, side dishes all for under £220 including service charge! I excellent value for money, quality food, you could taste the freshness! I will be frequenting this beautiful place again! My new favorite! Recommend to anyone!!

Lovely place. Great decor. Great service. I thought the food was very average though. It was the standard of a competent home cook, and not what id expect from an Italian restaurant at this price point. The ragu was uninspired and lacking in taste, and the pasta was a bit overcooked.
