The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

After about three months closed we were pleased to be able to dine here again. Good menu and very reasonably priced. The food and service was just right and although the only customers we really enjoyed our meal. This is a restaurant which needs good support from us locals - we wish it success.

Trabajé en Poco durante un par de meses en la tienda Headingley y disfruté de mi tiempo trabajando allí. La comida es excelente, hecha fresca por chefs que se preocupan por la comida que están haciendo. Hay una gran selección de postres y cosas saladas, cambiando semanalmente, lo cual es genial si quieres variedad en lo que estás recibiendo. Mis favoritos fueron los Calzones y los Arancini (¡tanto los sabores como las opciones vegetarianas son geniales!). Los desiertos son deliciosos y muy variados, así que hay mucho para elegir. La crema fresca Bomboloni, o pistacho Aragastina o Cannoli son mis favoritas. Pero todo es delicioso y vale la pena probarlo. Trabajar allí fue bueno. Detrás de escena hay mucho que hacer de gente trabajadora que quiere traer una porción de la cultura alimentaria siciliana a Leeds. Bruno, gerente de la sucursal de Headingley, es un tipo maravilloso que se preocupa profundamente por su herencia siciliana y proporciona a los demás una experiencia gastronómica que refleja la alegría y el deleite de la cultura gastronómica que experimentó al crecer en Italia. Es un gran tipo que siempre está abierto a hablar de los productos que se ofrecen y cualquier relacionado con la cultura italiana, haciéndolo con gran pasión. My partner and I came here for Valentines Day with a set menu, it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was amazing, was no long waits and it all tasted so fresh. Our waiter, Will, was incredible, nothing was too much for him. Lovely lovely guy!

First time at this Italian restaurant, food and service was first class, I had Carppacio for a starter, Halibut for main and Cheese & biscuits. Will definitely be going back.

Alfresco, Cleeve, is so much more than a first rate Italian restaurant - it is the venue for a thoroughly enjoyable evening of entertainment. Today our fellow diners included couples, family groups with well behaved young children, groups of men and other groups of women, and couples. There was an excited buzz of conversation which added to an authentic Italian restaurant atmosphere. The food is always beautifully cooked and impeccably presented, the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the ambiance is perfect. My wife and I have taken to eating there about once a fortnight and though it is not inexpensive it is always good value for money. This evening my wife enjoyed duck and I had chicken in a mushroom sauce. The meat was so well cooked it melted in the mouth and the sauces were delicate and exactly suited to the dishes. The wine list is good and the dessert menu is quite extensive. I recommend Alfresco without reservation

We were cold and a bit miserable as we walked into the Gloucester Quays area, looking for a coffee. Caffe Corretto looked inviting, so we popped in for coffee and croissants. Perfect! The coffees were made exactly to our liking, and the croissants, one plain, one almond, were crisp and delicious. Look no further for a coffee stop, this one ticks all the boxes.

I have been before and it's hit and miss usually, but this time was awful. I won't be back. Our table was seated near the back door, so we had to keep our coats on and also by the bin and dirty pot area, I asked to move but they could not accommodate despite there being other tables available. Sauvignon Blanc was disgusting, I had to leave it, I think it was off. Pizza was like cardboard, couldn't even cut it. Tagliatelle was under cooked and don't even go there with the Carbonara! Lumps of goodness knows what in it. Music was purgatory and extremely loud above our heads. Diabolical. Avoid. Bill was £70 plus for 3 of us.

Amazing...different daily homemade soups

Tried to book a table on the website twice, me and my mum both rang and no one answered so we left a message for them to call us back saying our phone numbers but we never got a call back, disgusting service.

The staff are amazing and so welcoming and the food is superb. Thank you for making our trips so wonderful.

I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️
