Our absolute favourite place in Cambridge for coffee and croissants. Their chocolate croissants are absolutely amazing - especially when they are fresh out of the oven. Sometimes we plan a trip to Cambridge because we’re craving the croissants so much. We never visit Cambridge without a trip to Savino’s! Really friendly staff and great service.

For nearly 20 years Savinos has been my favourite coffee shop in Cambridge. Great coffee, great panini, no fuss atmosphere.

Grabbed a coffee here, before getting back on the park and ride bus nearby. Excellent place, very busy with a good atmosphere. Coffee very professionally made and the food menu looked excellent. Will definitely come back and try some food when we have more time. Definitely recommend a visit here. Thank you team🙂

This is something that doesn't really exist anymore. A small family ran continental cafe, where you are served by the generations themselves. No attempt for on-trend hipster cafe culture here. Just the genuine Italian cafe, with patina included.

Classic Italian cafe. We always go there before going to a movie at Picturehouse over the road. Try their homemade cookies with your coffee and savour the atmosphere with many regular customers coming and going. And there's daily newspapers too. Magic!

We found this wonderful place thanks to “The Key to Cambridge Guide” We were a group of 7 (children and adults) all making their decisions for drinks and cakes.. both the guys serving were so kind and understanding and very patient as we all made our choices.. please try this gem when you are in Cambridge

Popped in for a rainy morning breakfast before work and it really set the day off to a cheerful start. The service was fantastic, with incredibly friendly staff, and the drinks and pastries were divine. We'll definitely be returning!

Amazing pastry! crispy shell with a warm chocolate filling. Also love the smell of baked goods that wafts in the space. — Coming back before catching a bus. Tried the new breakfast special, omelette panino. Lovely freshly cooked omelette, filled with flavorful peppers and chicken pieces, stuffed in piping hot toasted ciabatta. Heavenly heart-warming and filling breakfast. Very welcoming and efficient service. The blackboard always tempts me with so many combinations… and Brie/cheddar/mozzarella cheese croissant sounds delicious.

Tried this place after looking at the reviews... Was surprised to start as it wasn't quite what I was expecting... But we stayed It's what I would call old school, felt a little nostalgic not too many frills I ordered coffee and I had an almond croissant... My other half had the special panina, omelette with chicken, peppers etc but had it without the bread Firstly the coffee was great... I expected that, second it was the best croissant I had ever tasted... Kept warm not heated up in a microwave (I hate that) and the omelette was so good... Freshly made to order... Great little find

Excellent Italian coffee bar in the centre of Cambridge. I really like how it has the design and fittings of an Espresso cafe in Italy, with its steel bar and barstools. Great cappuccino too, probably best in Cambridge. Nice service.

This place is excellent. I had a pesto panino and a banana milkshake, both of which were delicious, particularly the milkshake. They also do really nice cakes. It’s an unassuming place from the outside but don’t be fooled, this is one of the best cafes Cambridge city centre has to offer.

We could actually order a large Cap which really is a large, and it was a decent Cap as well. I had the panettone and my husband had the almond croissant - both were lovely. All staff members were super friendly and informative and they wished us a wonderful weekend as we exited. We did, however, end up sitting at a table that was practically in the way of the queue, but we’re not going to dock them any marks for this when we really only stayed half an hour. This will be our new morning stop whilst in Cambridge. It’s a keeper!

Helpfull staff, all of them. Excellent quality of food, nice takeaway box, not just some rough carton! I had a hot (warm) chicken pieces salad, Greek, from the top of the menu, takeaway, and ate it in a park nearby. Crispy bread, not too much oil and vinegar, better than average oil. I would prefer a bit more cucumber, olives, not just leaves. But then there were generous amount of chicken, some seeds (cucumber?!) . Excellent taste. The inside of this cafe was a bit hot on a hot day.

Dropped in for a quick lunch. We had two paninis @ £15 total for eat in. They were tasty and very filling. We were running late and hungry, but honestly having shared one might have been enough for us both. It seemed quite costly for 'a couple of good toasted sandwiches outside London' but maybe I'm out of touch with cafe pricing these days. What was welcome was that despite being close to the centre, right by Grand Arcade, the GPO and 100M from Market Square etc, this cafe felt very local. The customers were locals, parents of/with students down for grad events and so on. Although the savory food menu seemed to be just paninis (+side-salad options as extras) it had quite a wide range on offer. Would I return? Well probably next time I specifically want a fresh-made panini, otherwise more economic food-on-the-hoof options are a-plenty in the area.

The coffee tasted like a cheap Greggs, nothing authentically Italian here other than the poor service. I love Italian food, but they have lost their way here and need to learn again how to make Italian coffee correctly.

Visited Cambridge all the way from Melbourne, Australia, for my sister’s graduation. Chanced upon meeting the owner out one evening and had a few drinks with him and his mates, ripper blokes. Visited Savinos the next day or so and had a great experience in there. Awesome coffee, excellent range of pastries and food and a relaxing vibe. Hope to visit again soon whenever I get back to the UK.

Saw Peter for the first time in more than a decade, still a nice bloke and still a welcoming place with a carrot cake that was sublime.

My name is SHU from Japan. Since 1998 to 2005, I was living in Cambridge and I've been Savino's almost everyday. The shop owner Peter and the other staff were always best, warm and kind to me. Grazie for the best coffee and panini at any time during my stay in Cambridge for seven and a half years. In addition, I am so happy to know via inside photo-view of Google Map that everything has been keeping same for over 15years, not only layouts but every chairs, tables, posters, and even the collection of regular customer's photos on the wall, include the photo of me and my dearest girlfriend at that time! I'd like to say thank you very much to Peter and all the dearest staff! I hope I could visit Savino's again at some point! SHUxxx

This must be THE best coffee in Cambridgeshire, let along Cambridge! My wife and I have just called in today for another impromptu lunch. Wonderful mortadella and mozzarella panini plus some toasted pannetoni- delicious. Buzzing atmosphere and a warm welcome every time.

Very Italian, great place, would stop by again

We had the worst customer experience in this cafe! My 1 year old baby is just pushing a chair and playing for just a few seconds, when suddenly an old man at the bar, probably the owner, got iritated and rudely asked us stop! What is wrong with a baby enjoying when they only got 1 other customer than us? Ridiculous! We will never go back to this terrible cafe!

Having walked the streets of Cambridge for nearly 10 years, I can’t believe I’ve been missing this absolute gem ✨ Forget your Costa and Starbucks, Savino‘s is your new Fix ! Forget Subway altogether really do ! I’m on a 4 day streak of having Sandwiches from Savino’s and my god , you’ve got high quality ingredients, well thought combinations of bread , meat and veg ! If you’ve never been to Savino’s seriously you’re missing out ! I am lost for words how to describe Savino’s you really have to get in there and take on the experience 🙌
