What a great find - disappointed I haven't experienced this place earlier! The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly (Esse in particular is a highlight) and the food, drinks and atmosphere were all amazing. I had this incredible blueberry cocktail I can't remember the exact name of sadly, but wow! Definitely coming back ASAP.

Really lovely gem of an Italian restaurant. Pumpkin gnocchi was gorgeous. They don’t have too many options on the menu but adds to the charm! The service is quite slow though. Would say some options are on the pricey side though.

Amazing service! The best olive oil, balsamic vinegar and focaccia i’ve ever had. Ended it all with the most delicious tiramisu.

Delicious dishes! The pastas are a personal favorite but they're all fabulous! Very nice staff as well. Also it is dog friendly which is incredibly wonderful to me! We sat in the outside garden which has a lovely atmosphere but the interior is great as well!

We arrived really late, as we had been to the cinema. They kept our table open for us. Pizzas were lovely but we did feel a little pressured to finish. There was one other table there so the atmosphere was OK but a little quiet. We will certainly return, but will try to go at a more normal time when I think the atmosphere would be great.

We had a meal for four and, overall, were rather disappointed. While the food was fine, it was all rather overpriced and we had expected better. Pizzas were overpriced, and, while OK, were nothing special. The only wine under £30 was not available, and the wine we chose must have had a 400% mark up. We ended up with a bill which we would expect for a decent three course meal, when, in fact we only had four mains (pasta, risottos and a pizza,) two side salads and two desserts - all fine, but unexceptional. Don't normally post reviews like this, but felt a bit ripped off. A shame, as it looked like a great place.

Absolutely loved my quattro stagioni pizza. This is my go to and it was beautifully done. Crispy crust and generous ham, olives and, most importantly, artichokes. Delicious. Lovely service and a great limoncello spritz. I've only knocked a star off because I think this place will have to be saved for special occasions - 17.50 for a QS pizza is about £3 too much in my opinion and compared to other places.

A relaxing cafe with a huge variety of Italian food. Had a ciabatta which was delicious. Staff extremely friendly. A lovely young lady I didn’t catch her name and a real gentleman called Esse. Great place would recommend.

Have been here loads of times, always had good food and always had a friendly welcome. Homemade pasta and risotto were really tasty.

Nice but very very slow service

It is one closet Italian place to me. We ordered four cheese pizza - I cannot taste much of Gorgonzola and fontina. With the price tags of £18, it was disappointing as it’s one of the classics that hardly goes wrong.

Please go and eat here. Best pasta I have had in a very long time - including in Rome, Puglia, Naples, Milan, Capri, Florence and the Dolomites. I wanted a nice pasta meal for my mum's birthday but found the options to be limited in Cambridge - it seems like most places are pizzerias, not Italian. After 45 minutes of looking at menus online, I picked Limoncello because they had a sausage and truffle pasta on the menu, two things my mum loves. I didn't have very high expectations when I walked in - it looked like local deli. But we got the sausage and truffle pasta, the pumpkin gnocchi and two nice glasses of wine and Christ alive, when the food came, I ate my words (and the pasta). It was absolutely spectacular. I want to bring the chef back to London and put him up in my spare room. Go eat their pasta. 5 stars.

Have been here once before and really loved it. Had the truffle Risotto which was absolutely fantastic albeit diminutive in portion size . Went again last night and unfortunately had a really poor experience. -We were placed outside in the cold and had to go and find the waitress after 15-20 mins without our order being taken -Ordered hot chocolates to warm up and it very quickly appeared that these were just water and instant powder, which is quite disappointing given the price. - Had the Margherita pizza for a main which might as well have been bought from the co-op over the road. The manager told us the the dough is made every 3-4days so likely frozen and reheated. Tasted fine but again hard to appreciate given the price and was left still very hungry. Fortunately we were kindly offered free limoncello shots for our troubles and our friend had the lasagna which looked and tasted absolutely brilliant. This is a super place to have pasta but we were left really underwhelmed by everything else. Ended up having some chicken goujons next door to satisfy my remaining hunger.

Great pasta - fab atmosphere. We had salads, three different pastas - rigatoni, gnocchi, lasagne. All superbly prepared and delicious, combined with fab Sicilian wine. Tiramisu to die for. Best Italian in Cambridge!

Love this restaurant. Delicious food and coffee (what is really hard to find in England in general). Nice service and very welcoming. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Delicious and authentic Italian food just a 15 minute walk from the city centre. Delicious pasta (especially the truffle tagliatelle), gorgeous atmosphere (inside is a cute deli feel, outside is a romantic hideaway beneath fairy lights, heat lamps, and blankets!). The tiramisu is exquisite. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. And the perk is that it is dog friendly! Will definitely return on our next trip to Cambridge!

I assume the 5 star reviews are from people foolish enough to leave them for free shots of limoncello Overpriced place was definetely not the best. I really cannot recommend anything from the menu. Been to Italy and to many different culinary restaurants. Regret my choice of a restaurant.

Loved this restaurant! Servers were very friendly and food was yummy I got a vegan pizza with vegetables and it was really nice. My boyfriend got the ragú and loved it. They have a nice wine section. We sat in the garden which has heaters and cute fairy lights for a romantic setting :)

Where else to go for our annual Christmas get together? This gem on mill road serves wonderful food and drinks in a fantastic setting. We had the outdoor space to ourselves, which was warm and beautifully decorated! We'll come back.

WOW!! We were blown away by Esse and the whole staff. Our dinner was incredible. The food was delicious and the ambiance was spectacular. Had the pumpkin gnocchi and the Tiramisu, and would absolutely recommend. Celebrated my birthday here while in town and was a great decision. We can’t wait to go back!

Food was great, and if you are into Italian food then it is well worth a try, but we just found that for the price we expected the food to go beyond just 'great' and into the territory of 'mind blowing'. Maybe we just aren't into Italian food, so take this opinion with a grain of salt!

Disappointing evening as it was so cold in the restaurant. 2 ok meals, 1 disappointing meal. Vegetarian lasagne was very oily and rocket on starter dish was very wilted. For an expensive menu this was disappointing

Absolutely adored the outside patio with heaters and blankets. I’m from Florida and I’m not used to this type of cold and I was quite warm out there! Great wine selection for a small restaurant with reasonable prices. My husband and I got the lasagna and the spinach ravioli and both of our meals were fantastic. The perfect portion and very flavorful. The side salad could have had more to it, but it was still satisfying. The real winner of the night was the tiramisu!! Oh my godddd. I’ll fly back to England just for that. Absolutely heavenly. The service was fantastic. Friendly and intentive.

Fantastic pizza and gnocchi, in a lovely backyard, fully equiped with comfy seats, space heaters and blankets. The restaurant itself is small, but tastefuly decorated. Staff were stellar, quick service and always ready to help with anything. Didn't get to try the limoncello though, so we'll just have to go back some time very soon!

Amazing food, lovely staff and surpringly inexpensive. A really nice evening. Sat in the back garden which is an enclosed patio with a trellis over the top. The trellis is enclosed by plastic awnings to keep the rain out and the heat in, and there are both heaters and blankets to keep you warm. It is still a little nippy but so charming with hanging sparkly lights. The food was perfect and just the right sized portions. Cost wise two of us ate starter, main and dessert plus 2 glasses of wine for £77! Pretty good considering how good the food and atmosphere where. The first night in a long time and you guys nailed it. Thanks!

Not had the pleasure of having a sit down meal in here yet but when I can I always try to pop in for a latte and a ciabatta to take away. The coffee is always of excellent quality and the ciabatta is (particularly the number 3), fresh and hot everytime. The staff are always polite and attentive and everything is very reasonably priced. Can't recommend it enough 10/10.

I am so disapointed. I LOVE tiramisu, I have eaten it every week in my past 5 years of life, and i have never had a worse piece for 10 POUNDS. there was the smallest bit of BARELY cake with one drop of coffee. the thickest, most disgusting cream. the food sucked too. go elsewhere i wish i did

Fabulous late lunch as a treat from my daughter in law. Great service from super staff. Baked Camembert followed by Risotto made my day. Definitely going back. Lucky to try the Pumpkin Espresso Martini - sure fire winner!!

From the front it looks like a little cafe, but the back courtyard has the most amazing atmosphere. The gnocchi may have been the best I have had.... ever....

This Italian restaurant has top products, but you don't get them on your plate! Why not chef? The antipasti mix (for a whopping €21.50) contains plain boiled ham, salami, some pieces of cheese and supermarket baguettes with some arugula leaves thrown over them. Nothing Italian about it, as we sit next to the display case with homemade pestos, olives, dried tomatoes and very Italian meats such as mortadella and nduja, which we can only look at with delight. The food is way too expensive for what you get, it's better to buy something from the display to eat at home.

Beautiful gem of a restaurant tucked away in an unsuspecting part of town. Quality ingredients are definitely used to create the items on the medium sized menu. I would recommend making a reservation.

Purely giving 5 stars due to the service from the waitress. She truly went out of her way to try cater for my sons complex allergies/intolerances… which included her trekking out to the local grocery shops to find solutions! Wow. Plus my food was very nice and fresh :)

It is a good concept of having an eatery and a deli together. Should be a foodie paradise. However, food is very average. Risotto was over cooked and was rice drowned in liquid. Not what I expected. In salads greens were not washed and so sand crunching was very noticeable. Pity.

Pasta and pizza is nicely made. The back garden is a good place for a break. It would be nicer if the price goes down a little.

Amazing place with great ambiance. If possible sit outside under twinkly lights and olive trees! Food was amazing! We had the pizza and ichnusa (Italian beer- of course the non-filtered one). Bellissimo!

Fantastic dinner at limoncello the food was amazing the truffle tagliatelle a particular highlight thought I also greatly enjoyed both the ricotta ravioli and diovoli pizza, all very fairly priced for an authentic meal out in Cambridge Service was phenomenal Georgi was brilliant incredibly funny guy who really looked after our table little details like extra napkins for my messy partner went down a storm
