Great restaurant. We tried their pizza (the Andrea and Prosciutto and mushroom pizza) as well as their pasta options (mamma pasta and ragu bolognese). We enjoyed them all. The portions were very well sized for the price and the flavours were good. Our only criticism would be we'd have preferred a little more sauce with our pasta and that in the desert option the ice cream was a bit too cold, making it hard to eat with a spoon. Nevertheless, the service was attentive, the atmosphere warm and comfortable, and food was served remarkably quickly.

Great meal in a super comfortable space. Friendly and attentive staff. Wide menu and selection of drinks and cocktails. We had fritto misto and burrata to start, pizza and truffle pasta for mains The pizza was the best out of Italy and the pasta was exquisite, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Highly recommended for both the ambiance and the flavours.

Second visit in one week, the food, the portions and the wonderful team and super attentive owner. Also the wine selection is beautiful. Great for families, dates or friends get togethers. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food? STUNNING. Would absolutely recommend. My wife and I managed to escape parenthood (When you have children you revert back to being a teenager yourself and having to ask your parents if you're allowed to go out) for a rare last-minute date night and booked Tradizioni just a few days before for 9:15 pm. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were welcomed with a warm smile before being taken straight to our table early with no issue. The service was brilliant. Giving us just enough time to settle in and browse the menu before being offered drinks, allowing us to order at our own pace. We started with a shared starter (anti-pasti, antipasti?) that was fantastic, followed by pasta dishes (my wife had the Carbonara and I had the Black Truffle pasta with egg tagliateli <-- sorry about the spelling) that were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour (though our Uber driver later insisted we have to try the steak next time!). Now, my wife, being an accountant, sticks to what she knows when it comes to wine: New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or nothing. Our waiter, keen to expand her (our?) horizons, called in the expert: none other than the owner, Andrea. He joined us for a chat and gave us a fantastic recommendation, even offering a taste before committing to the bottle. Naturally, it was perfect and paired beautifully with our meal. The ambiance is beautifully romantic, with low lighting and plenty of candlelight. Ideal for an intimate evening. If I had to find a negative? There’s only a single loo, which might be tricky at peak times. But on a Saturday at 9 pm, it wasn’t an issue. We can't wait to return!

I had a pizza, but what a pizza! One of the best I've eaten outside Italy. I can't rate the in house service, but the host was lovely and it's a good looking restaurant

Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! I ordered the tagliatelle tartufo, and it was simply amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were generous, and I really appreciated that they allow you to take home leftovers. The service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. We also had an entrée, which was just as delicious. For a little while, I felt like I was in a cozy restaurant somewhere in Italy rather than in (that day, at least) a gloomy Cambridge. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors!

This is a must visit Italian restaurant, the new deco also makes it a lot cozier and romantic place to be. The food is absolutely amazing with the best ingredients in the market. The staff is very friendly and passionate about their cuisine!

I've held of leaving this review as I felt the staff where under pressure but I think we were treated so poorly that this review had to be done. The owner started screaming and shouting when I told them the pasta dish we had previously had wasn't as good this time. I think some miscommunication between the waiter didn't help but you just can't speak to anyone never mind a customer like that. Then insisted we do not pay but we did because all we expected was for the food to have been as good as the last time we came, not be shouted at.

Great place: really appreciated the friendly staff shuffling things around to make available a table for 6 at short notice and loved the pizzas (square, slightly more substantial bases) and bruschette 🍕🍅👍

This place has some great vegan options - pizza with vegan pesto is wonderful and the bruschetta is so tasty and refreshing. The owner is super accommodating to vegans so if you are vegan just ask what is available. It's also a lovely restaurant and great independent business. Highly recommend! :)

Friends recommended this place, after reading the reviews we decided to take a chance, at first we were worried that the place was small and the atmosphere was simple. But the food and service left only amazing impressions. We ordered pasta and steak, it was very tasty and satisfying, the waiter was very kind, polite and courteous. We will definitely come back here again one day

Staff are very lovely, and found us a table on Saturday night even though we had not booked. Environment is clean, not too crowded and you can barely hear the background music. Second time I'm having the pizza here, and I am not impressed. It is definitely filling but I expected more flavour (more Italian spices like oregano and basil). It also wasn't very hot, so by the time I got to the end, it was ice cold and not very appetising.

Went for dinner with my partner last week, food was unreal full of flavour absolutely loved it, proper Italian food. Only let down for me is the menu is QR code and not traditional paper menu, I find this to be a bit antisocial being on my phone would've much preferred a proper menu as gives it an authentic feel, other than that the food was spot on and staff were very friendly👌🏽

This is a restaurant for good traditional Italian food and attentive service in a perfectly clean facility. This is suitable for couples, families with children, or a meal with friends.

We had a company dinner with a group of around 30 of us here a few weeks ago - the folks at Tradizioni catered superbly for us in their side room. They communicated really well throughout, from taking our orders ahead of time through to arranging payment at the end. All the food was fresh and absolutely delicious and they kept our drinks topped up through the evening! It’s always a challenge catering for large groups so I’d just like to pass on my gratitude to everyone at Tradizioni for making our evening such a delight!

Sat outside on a lovely summer's evening. Great antipasto, pasta & pizza - washed down with a fabulous Sicilian white.

We booked by chance, because we were tired of pubs.....and here a culinary experience opened up that is difficult to find even in Italy. We took a carbonara pasta and a seafood pasta... exceptional. In particular, the carbonara was perfect, with crispy bacon and pecorino. The staff were really friendly and the owner, Andrea, super friendly. We felt like we were at home. Top evening.

My wife an I joined our son for his Graduation on July 20th 2024. We wanted to end the day with a special meal and in ignorance of where to go trawled the main eatery thoroughfare. Watching queue after queue we were delighted to find Tradizioni which being over the bridge was bustling but not overcrowded. On presenting we were warmly greeted as if regulars by the owner. He set the tone and itood was evident that this was the ethos of all the staff. From observing the other diners this relaxed ambiance was universal. Being busy there was a slight delay in being served our starters which did not overly bother us nearly as much as the owner who could not apologise enough. The food when it arrived was beyond our expectations and my seafood pasta, my wife's speck and asparagus tagliatelle and my son's Aubergine lasagne were all sublime and worth any wait. When we happily proceeded to pay for our meal the owner not only refused to accept my tip but also refused payment for our starters. Despite my protests he was resolute. I felt as if I was cheating him and not paying a fair price. It is wonderful to encounter such wonderful hospitality, humility and quality where perfection is valued more than money. When we next visit Cambridge where our son has made a home we will not consider any other dining experience.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at an incredible authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge last night. Andrea's hospitality and friendliness made the experience even better. We'll definitely return on our next visit to Cambridge and highly recommend this place!

We read online that Tradizioni were prepared and catered for coeliacs and we were not disappointed. The staff explained in detail how everything is prepared and all items on the menu are available gluten free. We had the carbona as our mains and I would have to say that it was probably the best I have had outside of Italy. Fantastic food, Fantastic staff and all very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back again.

If I could give 10 stars for the service I would. They are just excellent and very accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious and you will always relish the taste until your next visit to Tradizioni. I was introduced by my Sis and now they are definitely a favourite of mine.

We had such a great experience and delicious food here. The staff/owners were very helpful in ensuring I had a Free-from pizza which contained no ingredients I'm intolerant of. The food was so good and very generous portions. I would highly recommend this place.

What a great family/ neighbourhood restaurant. We went there at 5pm on a Friday. It’s unfussy but has real warmth and friendly service. Good antipasto followed by probably the best pizza I’ve had. ( there’s quite a bit of competition!). Reasonable house wine. Will definitely return when next in Cambridge.

Went here because we had a craving for pasta and it was close by. It exceeded expectations. Staff were really lovely. Friend started feeling a bit unwell for reasons unrelated to the food and we requested to be moved inside, and then had to pay and leave early. Staff were very helpful throughout whereas other staff might have been annoyed. They also gave us complimentary soup as a starter!

We've been living in Cambridge for a few years and have found lots of pizza places around town that are quite good, but had yet to find someplace with Italian food that we would call "excellent", at least enough so to keep us coming back. My wife previously lived in Italy, and I would label her as very picky when it comes to Italian food. With that in mind, we recently tried Tradizioni for the first time and both thought the food was quite good. We're both vegetarian -- we had the eggplant parmesan and pesto gnocci, as well as the tiramisu. All three dishes were great! We'll definitely be back, and would rate this restaurant as the best Italian food (e.g., pasta dishes) we've had in Cambridge. I haven't tried their pizza, so can't make any comments about that in comparison to other local places. Bravo!

Keep returning for the best carbonara in the city

A secret jewel on an anonymous Cambridge street. Don't be fooled by the basic assistance. The staff and owner really care about your eating and drinking enjoyment. The pizzas are very tasty. Very good choice with great service.

Really excellent food, delicious and plentiful. The only problem was that there were wafts of cigarette smoke percolating in from the back of the restaurant. This was also the case when I visited previously - I had gone to the bathroom, and someone had obviously been smoking just outside the toilets. My suspicion is that it may have been staff members who had been smoking in these areas. A real shame, otherwise a lovely restaurant.

The best thing about this place are the warm and hospitable owner and his wife!! We celebrated our 42nd anniversary at Tradizioni … they offered us complementary glasses of a delicious Montepulciano! Personable and welcoming from the get go, they accommodated our lactose-free request on the dishes, and the restaurant is pet friendly too - so really, what’s there to complain about? They had found themselves unexpectedly understaffed on the day, so it was somewhat slow going - but the food was worth the wait. On our list when we’re back in Cambridge again 👍

A walk from the city centre on Mill Road a little beyond the road bridge over the railway. We booked for a table, which was a good move even on a very wet Thursday evening. Portions were generous, the service efficient and friendly and the atmosphere comfortable We went for the option of a half pizza each which was ample. The shared tirimasou was light and great to round off great meal.

What a wonderful place, the food and portion sizes is fantastic, absolutely delicious. The service was faultless - warm and welcoming throughout. Can't recommend enough! Table 24 :))

Me and my wife have been coming to Tradizoni ever since we moved to Cambridge 4 years ago and have never been disappointed. The quality and taste of their pasta truly is unbeatable especially their Tartofo, recently I ordered a pizza and requested chilli oil which was so delicious to the point where i asked where we could buy the chilli oil from due to it being so much nicer then the ones we buy from the shop, only to find out this was a home recipe after which the manager personally provided me instructions and ingredients on how to reproduce this as well as providing me a bottle of their oil. This is just a small example of how authentic and passionate this restaurant is.

They say you meet the best people when you need them, I needed a good evening in a cracking Italian family restaurant, food was wonderful, fresh and delicious, the welcome from the family was wonderful. Thank you so much ♥️

A wonderful, friendly place to eat with great food lovely wine and a fantastic atmosphere. The antipasti sharing platter is to die for! Italian radio playing the the background is a lovely touch.

Went for my birthday with my partner. Bruschetta was glorious, then I had seafood pasta and he had the mamma's pasta. It was absolutely brilliant, really great atmosphere and got a little glass of prosecco on the house for my birthday which was absolutely the icing on the cake. Thank you for a great experience 🙌

My boyfriend and I made a last minute booking and the host was gracious and gave us a nice table. From the moment you walk in, you will be warmly greeted. We knew the place had great reviews but one added star was to be served by someone Italian serving an authentic Italian homemade meal. Atmosphere -it was roomy, nice music in the background, noise level was good and decor simple and inviting Service- started with a cup of homemade chicken soup on the house, our server was very welcoming and warm. Our orders were taken fairly quickly and food came out at a decent pace. Food- for appetizer we got the Frito misto. Divine! A must. Well seasoned and hot and presentiaon was perfect. We ate every last bite. For our mains we got the beef lasagna and speck and asapargi pasta. Both were so delicious. The portions were nice. Food was warm and tasted very authentic Prices were fair and we can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! Thank you!

I have been a customer for many, many years and not once have I had a bad experience. The staff is so friendly, the food is excellent!! (You need to order the Tiramisu) very delicious! and the atmosphere is just so great! I always leave the place with a very satisfied feeling and a smile. Could not recommend this place enough!

Ill preface this by saying that this is hands down the best Italian place in town. Id just love some new additions to the menu like a few arancini and some chicken items.

It’s my second visit and the food is as good as the first one. We ordered Garlic Pizza as the starter, Seafood Pasta and Mamma Pasta. We were too full to order the dessert.

We ordered a pizza and as an Italian I expect a real good pizza especially if I have to pay £17 for one regular pizza. Very disappointed and I did not even finish it to eat. first of all the quality of the ingredients is very poor, the dough and was tasteless and that heaviness can linger in your stomach for the rest of the day. Ingredients are suppose to be italian but i can guarantee you that if they are good and properly cooked you will definitely enjoy your meal. Better places were to have a good pizza in Cambridge and without spending too much money. Bit over priced overall. This restaurant also adds the service charge directly to the bill, which is a bit cheeky when the food is expensive.
