Aromi Peas Hill Caffe and Gelateria in Cambridge

The people here have started refusing to answer the number. Very lazy and unprofessional. I won't be coming back here again.

We went to Aromi for their pistachio latte, but we were blown away with all the options available. So we went for a slice of the Piccante pizza, one each of the arancini balls and one of the tiramisu! The Pistachio latte and tiramisu was our favourite though. Wasn’t personal a huge fan of the pizza. The latte was very nutty and earthy taste. The tiramisu wasn’t too overpowering and had a rich and sweet taste to it. Overall 7/10.

I came here on the weekend midday for some pizza with my little brother and sister and I noticed the atmosphere of the place is really tense between the workers, I see quite a lot of rude a behaviour coming from a worker I didn’t know his name at the time but I then got told his name was Shane, Apart from that the food is amazing I would definitely recommend the pistachio croissant it is by far the best sweet snack on the menu.

The serving time was slow, but the service was very enthusiastic. We just accidentally forgot our drinks, but it was quickly corrected. The location is very good, you can take a rest while shopping. Pizza tastes average

The food was great, but the service at the counter was terrible. I ordered six pizzas and some cakes for my family at the counter. I wasn’t aware that my husband had already paid, so I asked the lady how to pay for the food. She gave me a very condescending look, as if I were an idiot. It was an extremely unpleasant experience and ruined what should have been an enjoyable family meal. I will never visit this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone.

They are super busy I would say, but the waiting time is not too long. Love Caponata!

Have been here for both lunch and dinner. Pizza at lunch is more like a sourdough bread with pizza toppings on top and not quite proper pizza. Dinner pizza is actually proper pizza, which was quite good. They sometimes have a 2 for 1 pizza deal which makes it much more worth it but doesn’t happen often. Minimal service, gets quite busy during lunch on weekends so tables may sometimes go uncleaned.

Delicious pizzaria in Cambridge! Aromi is a pretty popular shop and there was a line when I was there. You can choose to take out or eat in, in the cafe next to where you order (it’s connected). I got the margharita to go, and it was so good! They also heat it for you if you take it to go which is really nice. Picking up the order is a bit difficult since the area is small, but that’s alright. I would definitely recommend eating here!

The wait was like 10 minutes but it was 100% worth it. Excellent pizza and selection. Completely recommended.

The best Itslian food I have ever tried. The sandwiches and pizza are so delicious 🍕🥪 There is also lots of mouth-watering dessert options like pistachio croissant and tiramisu 🥐 Will definitely come back.

Beware paying a double tip: waitress brings your bill and immediately asks if you’re happy to pay. She tells you what you owe and as she passes you the card machine asks if you want to add a tip. You add a tip to the total and she leaves. You then see the bill already includes a 12.5% service charge. You find her and tell her that was a bit naughty - she says the manager tells her to ask for a tip every time. Bit nice pizza…

A great place to stop for a coffee. Fairly quiet around 10am, but a coffee is always a good start to the day!

Please note the machine in front of the counter that looks like a card machine. It is very sensitive and will sense the phone just by taking it out of your pocket. I was tipped twice for no reason. More expensive than what I buy in the store But the store didn't improve.

Pizza is good but staff’s attitude is so bad. She is impolite. I came on Sunday with other 5 people. She was reluctant to clean the table of the previous customers and not willing to serve us. This is might be we came in a large group, which is not suitable for the small restaurant. But we were so disappointed with services here

Horrendously understaffed with a nonsensical ordering system- I just wanted takeaway pizza and I could have either got pizza delivered or been to a sit-down restaurant much faster. Food was excellent but still not worth the wait!

¡Increíble! Un servicio tan amable en el momento en que entras y una exhibición impresionante. Los cornettos se llenan generosamente y los sabores estaban más allá de mis expectativas. Un café suave y rico para complementar la bollería. No puedo esperar a volver para el almuerzo / cena y experimentar de nuevo.

Ordered a pizza pickup at 6:30-6:45pm and the pizza was late by 15 minutes, waited outside in the cold and there was no explanation by the staff there on why my pizza was taking so long or any compensation. Decent pizza but their staff needs better training on their service. Avoid here unless you have lots of time to spare

Pistachio Ice cream is fab. But staff is bit careless as they don't update store timings correctly online. Pls check the store timings before going. They never answer calls. Updated my rating to 2: food was served cold, I’m a huge fan of the ice cream but this time I was let down!

Alright pizza but considering the price and the long wait, the fact that all the toppings came off in the takeaway bag was a bit of a joke.

Absolutely no customer service or anything at all. Waited ages ages for food, asked twice about the order, they came to us first thing was to tell us straight to our face that we ordered take away instead of eat in?? We ordered as eat in for sure and we got the stick and number on our table as proof? This random blaming customer accusation is absolutely not acceptable. Then they gave us two teeny tiny cannoli as apology. I cant imagine this is the way they treated customer and we are not the only ones. There was another table been waiting for ages when we taking off. Avoid if you care about some customer service!!

Great value for money. Great selection of pizza varieties and delicious cakes and pastries. Our favourite was the caprizioasa slice and the pistachio cake! The queue was huge and seats were scarce when we went, so make sure you divide and conquer by splitting up and having someone in the queue and someone getting a table ….

Terrible experience, if you are not warned they will charge you for more things, the service is included and they tell you no and they will charge you twice for the service. The food comes out burnt and salty and they abuse it Additionally, they said that the bathroom was not available because they had just washed it and they did not want it to get dirty.

Food was lovely, but booked a table and it wasn’t ready on time by 15 minutes along with ordering a bottle of wine which took two attempts reminding to get (which eventually turned up when we had given up hope at the end of the meal) staff were not the friendliest but acceptable.

Nice, but busy place with tasty sourdough pizzas. Need to be careful with chocolate croissant, it’s enough to get 1 for 2 people since the inside of croissant is drowning in chocolate 😄

After a 10 min wait in the queue I could order and take a seat inside; the staff are friendly, the Cappuccino was good and the food was tasty. All in all - a solid recommendation!

In the old center Aromi offers good food and coffee for a reasonable price. We had to queue to place our order. We were served at our table. Friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Cappuccino good.

The worst dining experience ever! We went as a family of five, each ordering a slice/main, a drink, and dessert. After 30 minutes, while we were still eating, a waiter came and took everything away, making loud, sharp clanking noises right by my 8-year-old daughter’s ear.

La pastelería estaba muy buena, sin embargo, no se calentó como suponíamos que sería, y para ser honestos la bebida era ligeramente inferior a mis expectativas - demasiado intenso - pero de nuevo, es una bebida de pistacho espeso, por lo que es de esperar. The table was wet and dirty from previous customers, so I asked the staff if they could tidy up the table and I waited for 10+ minutes but they didn’t show up again. I know this place is popular and they are all busy but it would have been better if I could eat my pizza on a clean table.

Simply loved the pistacchio and almond cake!! The choco lava cake was heaven! Must try! The margherita pizza was basic nothing too special.. also had so less veggie options on the day!

Always loved a good slice of pizza from Aromi’s and the welcoming atmosphere. However, the new team seems quite inefficient and impatient, especially given the sheer amount of customers attracted. I was demanded to wait outside bluntly, twice. Some extra staff training could help. Hope it gets better :)

It's always super crowded and there is no space. The people before us got a table and we were told takeaways only. And the ones after us got a table because a table got cleared within minutes. Despite being told we can wait for a table for a couple minutes, we were told to wait out it the cold for the order to arrive which took ages. Really poor service

I ordered an item of food where there were plenty on display and no-one in front of me in the queue had ordered. However, after making me wait for 10 minutes, they told me they'd run out meaning they'd likely given it to people who came to the restaurant after I did. Doesn't seem like that was the best choice service-wise...

The Zucca pizza might have been one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten. Really. Great food and friendly atmosphere

We've never been before as put off by the big queues. Today, having decided to see what the queues are all about, we tried it.... Three words: O M and G. The food is mindblowing. Shared a couple of their fresh focaccia sandwiches and a Pistachio-creme-filled croissant. Absolutely unbelievable. I have a new favourite food now 😂 11 out of 10.

Bigger Cafe, Smaller Toilets I went to FitzroyAromi most of the time. Why not try this one as well? Because I always thought it was not a comfortable environment. Looking from outside the tables and seats are so close to each other. Overall it was okay, there are extra tables and seats downstairs too. Everything was clean. It was a surprise that the toilets are much smaller than the Fitzroy Aromi. But still, it got most of the stuff. Coffee and pistachio cake tastes good. It's so nice that Aromi provides more than the Nutella option. Being different is good. Because not everyone prefers caramel flavoured or dessert with icing. But it's not a good place to stay long. As it's a popular cafe without very much social distance between tables.

I was looking for food that I could take on board for a picnic and accidentally came across this restaurant. I accidentally found a restaurant that is highly recommended. The pizza is very delicious and authentic. Even if it gets cold when taken out, it still tastes delicious. I chose a few flavors and they were all very good👍highly recommended. The locals said that I had chosen a great store! There are many flavors. It is said that the tiramisu is also delicious. I didn’t order it this time. I hope I have the opportunity to try it again. There is a toilet downstairs and it is very clean. The store is very popular and often crowded, but it is definitely worth the wait.

Sorry to say but this place first time I eat was ok , but last weekend very bad experience, long queue, 30 minute wait for a slice of pizza and I got it cold

Authentic and cozy atmosphere with hand crafted yummy pizza served. 🍕🥐Amazing pastries and assured freshness. I regularly pop in to the one at Fitzroy street but this was my first time in this branch. They are also open on Boxing day as well which made my day!! I tried Cornetto Pistacchio, was amazing.

Used to love the food here - servings are generous; esp pizzas are very filling. However, I feel that the staff are very over-worked here, it shows with how the service tends to be a downer. They are almost always rude all the time, and looking really unhappy... and I don't blame them !!! For how long the queue is, there seems to be lack of staff to manage the orders, etc.

Wish I could give you 6 stars for the coffee! And those mini pistachio tartlettes…Eccellente!

I don’t know how the food tastes because it’s been 40 mins since I ordered and only my cocktail is here lol. The servers are rude and lowkey racist towards Asians or South East Asians. Saw them serving to white people with efficiency and smiles and yet every Asian person in this restaurant is sitting with a sad face as they wait to be served. Worst eating experience in Cambridge, should’ve gone to Honest Burgers again lol.

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.

We went in and my wife accidentally hit her card on a contactless tip machine that is placed right by the till. It did have a small sign but think we all know what they are doing with this placement. I would wager good money on the fact that it has been placed right next to the till deliberately as a tactic to trick people. We were told this couldn’t be refunded even though we ended up not eating there. Whilst we were in the shop one person also complained about the food being uneatable. Would probably avoid, especially given all the great restaurants in the city.

Food was good but service was poor. Rude service and asked us to pay whilst we were still eating. We felt rushed and weren’t told that we needed to be out of the restaurant by a certain time. Hadn’t finished our meal and were told to leave.

Highly recommend their parmigiana focaccia and pistachio croissant! Service may be slow for dining in at peak times and it’s hard to find a table. Also be prepared to queue at lunchtimes. Would suggest early weekend morning takeaways (the pastries are warm and fresh out of the oven and no queues!)

Had a slice of margherita pizza and a slice of pistachio cake. The pizza was made from low-quality ingredients and executed poorly. Soggy, greasy and tasting of cheap oil. Worse than pizza hut, no match to proper Italian-style pizzerias. The cake was somewhat bitter and tasted more of walnuts than pistachios. You can get a better cake in most supermarkets. Overall, a very disappointing and annoying experience. Avoid!

Amazing sandwiches and pizza but none are gluten free

Experience: Unfortunately there is always a huge queue here; the service is on the slower side because people who eat in make their orders at the same place as the people who are trying to do takeaway. The staff have to do everything, juggling preparing the food, taking the orders, preparing hot drinks, serving to the people eating in etc. which makes the customer experience a little taxing. I wonder if there’s a smoother way of doing it. Food: Outstanding. I had the piccante pizza slice and the bread was light, fluffy, crunchy on the edges and pillowy in the centre. The toppings were delicious and tasted fresh. For the price (around £7), it’s very reasonable. My only criticism is the packaging - it’s given to you in a paper bag, so it’ll sweat a little if you’re not planning to eat it immediately, a box may have worked a little better but I assume most people eat theirs straight away. Regardless of this, a beautiful pizza slice that I would happily get again and again. I also bought a chocolate cornetto (croissant), which was also incredible. It was stuffed to the brim with a delicious hazelnut spread and the pastry was soft and/or crunchy in the right areas and not overly flakey. Another item I’d happily buy again. Overall: It feels harsh to take a star away for the long queues but it’s the only significant thing taking away from an otherwise superb experience.

We were there at 5:30 p.m. and there wasn't much food left. We got pizza, which was okay, but we were supposed to leave at 5:45 p.m., which I didn't like. Positive: Clean toilets.

I am a regular at Aromi as I work opposite and pop in for a regular cappuccino and arancini. I ADORE Aromi. I first visited the venue in Catania, Sicily and my love affair has continued. Everyone is so friendly and the food and drinks are exceptional. Aromi has been a fabulous addition to the Cambridge food scene and I have loved seeing it go for strength to strength. Grazie mille per tutti Aromi!!

I am Korean. This is my favorite bakery. Chocolate-filled croissants If you like chocolate, be sure to try it. It's like the taste of heaven. I eat it sometimes because it's so evil... There's a pizza with Mahagrita cheese on top and it's really delicious. However, I tried eating it at the store and taking it out, but when I ate it at the store, the quality of the knife was not good. I think the temperature of the oven was too high that day, as it seemed to be slightly overcooked when it was heated. It was really, really delicious when I ate it packaged. The price is cheap and the portion size is large enough for two people to share. The price and taste are both good. I confidently recommend this restaurant as a must-eat when you come to Cambridge. Take it out and eat it while sitting in the square 👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I visited Aromi in Cambridge for the first time yesterday. We were joined by friends who had highly recommended this restaurant and bakery for a place to eat. I have to say that the food was exceptional. I also wish to add that one of the managers, named Abbie, was so polite, considerate and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was pleasant and memorable. I would highly recommend Aromi in Cambridge as a place to eat at.

Terrible service. Staff were unfriendly, did not ask at any point if we wanted anymore drinks or dessert. Had to wait 30+ minutes for a takeaway box and our bill despite asking twice. Non-optional 12.5% service charge was added to our final bill without any receipt given to see the breakdown of cost which was definitely not deserved. The food however was lovely but will not be going back due to poor service.

First time trying this place and it was delicious 👌 service was friendly and staff give great recommendations. Price is reasonable. Would visit again

Just wanted to say a big thank you to our waitress on Saturday (I’m afraid we didn’t catch her name, but she had red lipstick, a nose ring and a North American (?) accent) who went above and beyond to accommodate our group, was professional without sacrificing her personality and anticipated our needs perfectly. We were grateful to have been able to celebrate our friend’s birthday so easily:)

I love this place and was looking forward to visiting all day. Unfortunately the incorrect drink came out and another one was missed off the order. Not the end of the world but there was no attempt to replace the incorrect drink - instead the waiter insisted it was the drink that I had ordered and instead chose to argue with me. I didn’t even bother to chase the drink that didn’t arrive. Very disappointing experience.

I urge you not to order takeout from this place. The cheese consistently sticks to the top of the paper bag, even when foil-lined bags are used, which has happened on two separate occasions. This issue really ruins from the enjoyment of the pizzas. I'm very disappointed and hope that this problem can be fixed. While the pizzas are generally very nice, the takeout experience needs improvement. Additionally, the lack of staff often leads to long wait times for both placing and receiving orders - sometimes up to 15 minutes or more. All they need to do is give takeaway pizzas in boxes it fixes the issue.

There are two entries one for take away and one for staying in but it wasn’t clearly marked and we were told not super nicely when we got through the wrong side. The food in the take away are different from the sit down and we weren’t able to order the item we saw a the take away when we sat down. My pizza was burned on the top and saggy on the bottom (you can’t tell from the picture because I purposely cropped the burnt bits out). When I mentioned it to the staff they were rude and quickly walked away. The unburnt bits of crust was delicious tho. My rice balls were tough on the outside and overly cheesy on the inside. The cakes we got were good tho. We were sitting downstairs and couldn’t get anyone to bring us the check and we had to go upstairs to hunt them down.

Great to see that Aromi has maintained the quality, reasonable price and amazing thick chocolate despite having expanded and grown. It was great to be back here!

Mientras estábamos en la ciudad, temprano por la noche (5 . 30 pm) , elegimos comer algo en este establecimiento antes de regresar a nuestro alojamiento. Entre los cuatro, elegimos tres platos de pasta diferentes (un plato por persona). Aunque solo hay un pequeño número de asientos y mesas y posiblemente podría clasificarse como un café de lujo, la calidad de la pasta y salsas caseras fue absolutamente de primera categoría, como lo acordamos todos. Los precios son muy razonables (£ 8 - £ 10 cada plato) , porciones de tamaño generoso y delicioso.

This is probably the best Italian snack food i have had outside italy. The choice is really good, it's all really fresh as you can see them cooking and restocking. It beats any other coffee shop easily. Not too expensive, not cheap, but worth the money. Well worth a visit.

Totally not recommended. The food is okay. Pizzas are fine, but not exceptional. It took 20 minutes for two pizzas, but they arrived cold! Service was average. The tables are small and very close to each other. The worst part: a 12.5% service charge (£4.65). I did not know that an £11.30 pizza did not include table service. Should I collect my order at the counter when there are waitresses available? The menu lists pizza, drinks, and starters, but not the service charge. They did not even ask if we wanted to leave a tip, they just included after "Sub Total". Was that service charge taxed? Luckily, I requested the receipt and checked it just now. Now I can tell others the truth. Totally not recommended. P.S.: The toilet is downstairs, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you.

Got a takeaway ‘zucchine’ pizza and was blown away. They taste even better than they look (and they look good!). Super fresh and fluffy dough. Very impressed. Went back the next day to sit in this time and got the Caponata pizza which definitely topped the zucchini pizza, it was absolutely delicious. We also got a coffee, a soft biscuit filled with chocolate creme, and a ricotta cannolo (the ricotta one has a slight orangey flavour). I’m no cannoli expert, but I had a couple in Sicily and have never found them the same in the UK until now, the light orange flavour was perfect. I also spotted a jar of crema di pistacchi (it’s like a green nutella made with pistachios instead of hazelnut), which I’ve been missing ever since I was in Sicily on holiday. I can’t wait to open it.
