Poco Sicilian Street Food in Leeds

I was excited to try this place because it had such great reviews, but sadly I was very disappointed… The food was not fresh. It was reheated when I arrived but it looked like it had been in that display for hours, so even reheated it was soggy and pretty unimpressive. It wasn’t expensive but the quality didn’t match the price.

Don't make the mistake that I did and assumed there was some seating area as there is not. I love coming for the cannolis (although they are a bit pricey for the size you get) and this time I got the chocolate filled croissant which was nice. Overall a 7/10

We came here for the arancini. It was probably some of the most delicious street food I’ve ever had. They were perfectly fried. The shop has a huge variety of dishes and dessert and we would love to come back for more.

We popped in for some pasta and pizza. AMAZING! The service was quick and friendly and the food was fantastic.

The lasagne and creamy vegan pasta were delicious. It's a small place, so it's best to take out.

Pistachio croissant blew my mind! Great coffee, friendly staff. Only a small bar to sit at so best for take-away, although perfect if you want to quickly scran your food!

Used to love this place when it first opened. Now it's become popular, the prices are astronomical. Shame because it was a really great place to go.

Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing. The iced pistachio latte is one of my favourite coffee drinks on this planet and the pistachio gelato in the brioche bun - is out of this world 🌍😍 can't recommend enough and I'll be getting that exact order this weekend because I can't stop thinking about it.

Always walked/drove past wanting to try here after moving a stones throw away we decided to take the plunge and from service from a polite lovely women to the excellent food they had on offer we will definitely be returning here in the near future

Went there and the magener ( I believe) was fighting/ arguing with a man in the kitchen in Italian ( I think) and could hear pans& plates falling from the kitchen where they were arguing. Apparently it's normal hearing them arguing even when customers are around because one of the staff said that they're used to hear them shouting. I just wanted to enjoy the food and had to leave.

First try and have to say it was very nice. Arancici, 1 veg and 1 meat. Followed by canoli...buono

Picked up a bite to eat from here as was driving through; so many options for dietary requirements, was very impressed. Both ladies serving were lovely, food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be making an effort to go back.

The food was amazing and will definitely be going back. The arancini and cannoli's were just so tasty. The person who served us was very friendly and helpful, they marked heating instructions on all the items. There is a car park at the back of the shop which is a little sketchy, but it's fine for going to the shop. There are only a couple of seats at a ledge type table, it's more of a takeaway deli than a cafe. I highly recommend it here if you love Italian food.

Travelled all the way from Wolverhampton as we had seen this place on Rate My Takeaway and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing. No pictures of the food as it didn't last that long! Very tasty.

Do not waste your hard earned money. The pizza was tasteless, dry just really disappointing. Hard broccoli on the veggie slice my husband got with very little cheese. I went for the spinach which was dried up going brown. The children got margaritas at £4.50 a slice absolutely no taste. It looked nice from outside. Even the server didn’t have the energy to speak to us.

Had the arancini with meat. Cost £4 and was very tasty and filling. Well recommended. Some indoor seating (approx 6 stools along a wall-mounted table), all unoccupied when I got there.

Absolutely fantastic, traditional Italian cafe. Amazing pizza slices, one of the best slices of lasagna I've ever had and some truly fantastic desserts. If you want a quick and easy takeaway and like Italian food you absolutely have to go here! Proper Italian street food at amazing prices.

Just bought 3 bomboloni....one was very stale unfortunately. They were bought as a gift ....now rather spoilt. If possible we will return with it. No telephone number to ring.

So glad I found this place, after 6 months living in Sicily I have been craving sicilian cooking and sweets. Stopped by to get two of the best cannoli's I've ever eaten, can't wait to come back and have an aranchini. Top place and very very friendly staff, just what you expect from the lovely Sicilian people! I'll definitely be back

Called in for 2 doughnuts on Friday afternoon. Absolutely awful, tastes funny and the dough was stale. £8 not well spent, such a shame!

Found the pizza bland with not much sausage on it and the calzone was really greasy just not my cup of tea

What an amazing place to get a hot or cold slice of pizza from. I only have been twice but the staff and the food are fantastic, definitely coming here for lunch breaks again.

You could try the deep fried bread with a slice of meat in it, or their triple bread pizza with extra bread and if you're still hungry you could have stuffed bread with Nutella & Cream. The calzone aftertaste is something I can't shrug off.

The food is so, so good from here! Had the meat aranchini and man we were both in heaven eating them!

The best lasagna I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Poco for a quick lunch break or treating yourself in a day off.

Cute selection of traditional Italian savouries and snacks on outside display, and dessert options inside. Prices reasonable. Delicious authentic Italian hot chocolate which I've never had before. Long narrow table for dining in, can take about 3 people max. Seen another Poco on Maps in Headingley too, might check it out.

Love, love, love Poco. We regularly stop here for lunch. You can take away hot food, or take away cold food to heat at home, or eat in at the small bar. Fantastic pizza bases, deep, fluffy and ridiculously light. I noted they also do the frozen Italian coffee which means I'll have to revisit soon!

Was really looking forward to tasting the food ,spend quite a bit on a selection of items and all were awful.tasteleas greasy and the calzone was vile ,never again

Stunning food and highly recommended. Great selection of bits and lots of veggie options too. Coffee is excellent too and they do a coffee Ice Cream which is just sensational! (I can't remember what it's called)

Good variety of food that does look amazing, but the cheese & pepperoni calzone was not to my liking. the outside felt like it was soft fish shop batter and tasted greasy, laid heavy on my stomach and was lacking pepperoni, must have had maybe 2/3 small pieces in if I was lucky. I also had a cinnamon bun and was a bit disappointed in this too tbh, the chocolate bit in the middle was minute and hard and the cream was all to one side inside the bun… the staff didn’t really seem welcoming either when I walked in…overall wasn’t impressed so sadly won’t be recommending or going again.

We had a couple of vegan pizza slices during the pop up at Northern monk this weekend. Delicious!

Friendly staff,authentic Italian , however I was disappointed with the pizza as the base was too thick and hard to chew, and I expected better flavoured arancini…. Will try again in future hopefully will be better…

The ideas are good ..but the taste of both pizzas bought....tasted putri, and left an after taste for while .. i spent £7, had one bite and put it back in the bag ...I thought it might just be my choice but no my friend had their magarita and spat it out ... am actually gutted as my mother heard great things of the one in headingly

It is a nice and casual place that offers coffee, pizzas, desserts , salad and many other things. You can dine in it is really cozy but the setting area is really small. I tried the salmon pizza and it was perfect. My friend tried the hot chocolate and she thinks it is really good. I also tried the pistachio cookies and it was great. The food was fresh and amazing. It is really highly recommended.

Was pricey and tbh, just a bit average. Cannoli were good, but the rest was just average.

Great choice of italian food, snacks and desserts. And it tastes so delicious. Definitely must try. Worth to visit. Only downside for us there is no sitting area so you can't eat in, it's a bit shame because if we could eat in we would definitely eat more😆 Everything looks so great it's hard to choose.

Wow! What a stroke of luck happening upon this little gem. We were visiting Leeds for the night and needed somewhere to grab some dinner. It's easily the best Italian place outside London. The Arancini were spot on, and I loved the fresh Cannoli - a real treat. My wife got to have Crema di Caffe too, first time we've found it in the UK. Keep up the good work!

Great little place to pick up an awesome coffee, a snack or a meal. Small and friendly, with about 6 seats along a bar and a park with benches right behind. Very convenient location, great staff who are happy to talk you through the selection of delicious food.

I tried this yesterday for lunch and wow I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely amazing pizza slice - I tried the spicy nduja it was unreal. The arancini balls are amazing and I also tried some desserts and I cannot wait to come back to try more. They can also heat up your food in store which is a great option. Very friendly lady on the counter too.

I recommend going on an evening. There are long queues at lunch-time, but it is deserted on an evening. Nice food, but very expensive too.

Good food, the only problem it was when I ask for something from the menu , and the girl from there told me they can do just what it's already done.

We ordered a tiramisu cake for my sons 21st birthday, it was delicious and looked absolutely amazing! I would also recommend the pizza slices and cannoli a really piece of Italian heaven. If I lived closer I would there everyday!

Always amazing fancy takeaway food, quite cheap for what you get. Recommend the lasagna, it's insane.

I have tasted the fantastic pizza many times, but this time I wanted to threat myself to some pastries. Tried the viennese and a couple of the cannoli, was not disappointed. Prices are aligned with the average ones in Leeds, but at least here you can taste a little bit of the Sicilian tradition in pasticceria. Highly recommended.

Lovely little Italian takeaway! The pizza slices are really nice, the coffee is tasty but like rocket fuel. It gets quite busy here though so you might have to wait for a while. The young girl that works here is very friendly.
